DUE TO A REALLY HORRIBLE HASTY LAST MINUTE DECISION, I'm here at home..with Mur. I was awaiting some news from my Illustration teacher on Thursday, to see how I was gonna turn out in the class because something happened and I had to do some make up work. I WAS REALLY NERVOUS SO I WENT TO BED. Okay.

well, when I woke up, there was an email in my mailbox. I was like, holy shit MUR PLEASE READ MY EMAIL I AM

So she read it because I'm a little pussy and apparently it turned out to be GOOD NEWS!! and everything was alright. So, from my sheer happiness, I just kinda stood up all like OKAY

LETS GO HOME, WE HAVE TO MAKE IT BACK BEFORE ELLIOT'S. AFTER I'M DONE WITH MY STORYTELLING STUFF, LETS GET THE FUCK OUT. So we did, on an impulse, drove for 9 hours to Birmingham from Sarasota on like..idk, 4-6 hours of sleep.

IDEA. But it wasn't too bad..not as bad as how it will be when we leave for New York tomorrow.

The reason why we were so hasty was because we had planned to go home before Elliot's?? To pick up some stuff from home and to get our hair..re-done and such. 0: However, we lost track of time from all the moving we did and when we realized we only had less than 2 weeks, we kind of panicked. U: That and in that huge frenzy of panicking, I forgot to pack all of my art shit. SO MY MARKERS AND MY SCANNER are back in Florida...also my laminator. I went out and bought more watercolor and some gouache though..

So because I lack such things, along with Paint Tool Sai because Macs suck, I'm going to be slow with starting on commissions until I get back from being out of town. 0: I think as far as I can go is sketch commissions like I mentioned before, and maybe if I can get used to drawing on this stupid laptop again, I can begin on my digital commissions, which kind of throws me out of order, but at least it will be getting something done.

The problem with icons though is the fact that I don't have the original wip files with me. :[ The huge 2000x2000 files that is, they're back in Florida on my pc. I'll try to get started on the ones I haven't started on though, but they won't look the same as the ones that are done in Sai. 0: They're gonna look kinda..different since it's going to be completely done in photoshop. I'll try to figure something out though..because my goal is to have all of these or at least more than half of my commissions done before AC. q_q; So I'm trying to get myself into commission machine mode. I usually do this by just..trying to get back in the habit of drawing every day, which I'm doing right now.

But yeah, I guess the good news overall is that I'm just..finally free to work on owed stuff now and to just do more art in general now that classes are over. :D So if you're waiting on something, it won't be too long from now before you get it.

But to my new apartment with  dislocatedpenguin :D We got in there Monday and got just about everything in, but there's still a lot to be done. We still need furniture, BEDS ...we're sleeping on the floor right now, um..just a lot of stuff really. xD That and most importantly, internet. For now we're just using the labs at school or going to places with wifi for internet...

So I have no idea when I'll be back online for good, but I guess you could call this a slight hiatus I'll be going on. However, like I mentioned before, I will be doing owed art and art in general while I'm away. I can still access Sai and Photoshop on my computer, but first I need a desk to put my computer on. xD; My computer is still packed away until I can set it up properly for now. Till then, I can still work on sketch commissions, so I won't come back empty handed.

About..well, making a complete switch over to FA. I: I've been bouncing it back and forth through my head ever since January or so. Lately DA has just become completely disgusting, the people, the way they try to get money from you with their ads and what have yous. The guilt trip thing with the whole "NEEDS PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP", what, since when did I NEED it? Apparently you NEED to give DA your money or they're going to torture you with ads and other nonsense.

The only thing that's really holding me back is the few people I don't wanna necessarily leave, I mean..I have them added on my msn and lj and such, but still. I feel like I'm bailing out on them or something, idk. q_q; If they would get FA's that would be fantastic, but neither of them would touch this place at all. Not that they have anything against furs, they just..you know, don't feel comfortable here..which is understandable. I have no idea..I guess it's because they're really all I have, and I feel like I'm kind of alone here if that makes any sense. Every one here has some crew they're apart of, I'm just kinda..here. Now this is starting to sound silly haha.

But really, I've been seriously considering it. Mostly because I've grown quite fond the of the..community feel this place has. I don't feel like I've been put on some kind of lame pedestal, I feel like I'm part of the crowd and I really enjoy that. I don't feel this way over on DA, I feel as though everyone's just kinda..watching me like a hawk, waiting for me to screw up or something. That or, I really don't know. I hope this is all making sense, sometimes I end up wording what I mean completely wrong and when that happens the worst is to come.

I guess what I mean is, I just hope that if I switch over completely it won't be some kind of mistake or something I end up regretting you know? I mean I would probably still lurk over there or something, but I won't be as..active. I just hope if I switch over here, I'll be able to finally get to know some more people and make some new friends or something. It's like..the older you get, the harder it is to do these things and figure out where to begin with it all. I remember when I was younger..making new friends on new communities was so easy. Now it's a game of trial and error that I tend to find myself shying away from because I don't wanna cause trouble or make some kind of stupid mistake. q_q;; Ah.

Well..back to the endless game of packing.

I saw  Rhazafax start this and I wanted to do it too ; u; I always feel so lame about this kind of stuff, but I can't help myself xD; It's not as bad as it used to be when I was in like..idk, middle school when me and my friends used to fight over who belonged to who..but fff, I still love these guys to pieces. 1: Future Trunks from Dragonball Z, out of all the guys I had a crush on in that show, I had more of a thing for Trunks. To the point where I had pictures of him on my wall and always carried pictures of him in my binder..that and guys even picked on me for it xD; The first time I had a REAL crush on a guy, I got crap for it, kind of like "Oh so NOW you like a real guy?? Well you know what, he doesn't like you, he thinks you're weird. Why don't you go back to Trunks!! At least he likes you. ACTUALLY NO, IF HE WERE REAL HE WOULDN'T LIKE YOU EITHER." Kids were so cruel in middle school, now you know where the source of my low self esteem comes from. 2: Yami Yugi from Yugioh! This was my next big significant anime crush from what I can remember, I remember it starting in the 7th grade or so because that was when I drew Yugioh fanart all the time when everyone else was still tracing DBZ pictures. I: I also joined a yugioh guild on neopets at the time and would have constant fights with other members over who owned who and who's silly mary sue character got to be with Yami. xD; I loved Yami to bits, idk why..but I did.

Everyone knows who he is..but here's a favorite pic of him I carried around everywhere and called my "inspirational" picture for SUCCESSSSSS. I would stare at it all starry eyed before I took tests, I was such a creeper.

I was such a damn weeaboo back then but I'm still used to saying it like Malik from rping him ages ago. xD; But yes, I fell in love with the creeper, along with Yami Bakura and shipped them to death. |8 ...I still do. 4: Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho! God I just...so many things changed when I was introduced to Yu Yu Hakusho, and my fascination with Kurama played a big part in it. Lets just say if it weren't for Kurama, Roxei wouldn't exist right now. She was my fan character for that show ages ago haha. But gosh, I loved Kurama to pieces, his hair (of course), his personality, the fact that he used plants to fight with and he could transform into a fox, I thought that was so cool when I was younger. While everyone was creaming themselves over Hiei, I was too busy fapping to Kurama.

5: Vash the Stampede from Trigun! Hell YES. I fell head over heals for Vash when I first saw Trigun, I have such a huge thing for lovable goofball characters, the one's who are supposed to be all badass but they're tenderhearted, silly and CARE FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS!! But will kick ass if they have to. I love it. Vash was no exception...he was such a doofus.

Why? Because he was BADASS and still is. Hey guys, just updating to let you know that I only have about one week left of college! :D Things are getting pretty hectic, not only with school but also with the new apartment me and are moving into soon. Besides work, I've got a lot of packing to do..and cleaning. I'm using today to relax from all the work I did this week, but to also start packing and get started on some art tonight. My history of illustration teacher is being awesome and is offering an extra credit assignment where you compose an image in the style of your artist you chose to do your research paper on. For my paper, I chose my favorite artist Frank Frazetta, so I'm gonna try my hand at replicating his style. :D It should be a fun challenge.

So yeah, I should be out on May 3rd, but since me and my roommate are moving..that means we're going to be internetless for a while until we can get something set up at our new place. I have no idea how long that will be, but it shouldn't be too long. Maybe a week or two, but while my internet is down I'm going to be getting started on my current que of commissions. C: So when I return, I'll be back with some commissions to upload! However, before that happens, I wanted to host some livestream commission sessions, mostly because the money in my account right now is going to be strictly for the apartment and nothing more. I kind of need some spare cash for some necessities, like food and gas and such. 0: I also wanted to take Mercutio to the vaccination clinic this weekend, it's time for his shots. So everyday next week I'll be holding some sessions for a little while, but not for too long because I do still have some things for class to finish. Luckily I won't be sleeping at all next week xD; So it will be possible.

I also wanted to try doing something different for every session? Like maybe one day do busts, then for the next session maybe some fullbody sketches, then I was thinking about doing speed paintings. C: That could be interesting, it would kind of be in the style of my picture Harvest. Also, for one day I was thinking about doing a sort of "anything goes" commissions, you know, the name your price type of commissions where you can request anything you like. You know, like, just anything from getting a character designed, if you wanted your character drawn with mine, stuff like that.

So if anyone's interested in this, I'll be starting this upcoming Tuesday after classes, probably after a good nap or something ffff. I'll make a journal announcing when it starts.

Hey, thanks for those great suggestions for fleas on my last journal to those of you who left comments. I feel like I don't get much of a chance to reply to everything, but I do read all my comments. So again, thanks, I really appreciate it. It's a big help because we're kind of in a tight situation with those things and our apartment issue. ): It's really adding on some unnecessary stress to stress from all of this work I have to do for class right now and stress from the fact that it's taking forever for apartment issue to be solved. xD; So eh, you can only imagine..fleas are the last thing we need right now.

They're not the worst of my troubles right now, believe me, but I was just holding my cat Mercutio right now while I was watching some DBZ, he likes to watch it with me haha. Well, while I was scratching his chin, I noticed a few fleas popped up and instantly got a bad case of the chills and shivers. This worries me because me and are moving into an apartment soon...and we don't want to bring any over. I'm about to go to Petsmart and pick up a bottle of capstar and a good flea comb to see what I can do about this. However, what do you guys out there with pets do for fleas? There haven't been any jumping on us, but they're killing him, the poor guy, they just seemed to have come out of nowhere recently. It may be the change in weather because he didn't have them before. Been meaning to ask this for a while ever since I saw this movie on my Birthday last week, but, is there anyone else out there that wasn't completely impressed by it? I feel like all of the huge hype over it is well..slightly unnecessary.

I went to see it without any sorts of expectations, no high expectations or low expectations, I just wanted to see what the hype was all about.

Me and my roommate pretty much summed it up as

How to Copy a Bug's Life with Dragons, or uh

It could be called How to use a generic plot line with dragons, idk. I just feel like this movie didn't really do anything new, and you could apply the plot line to almost any other animated movie out there, but A Bug's Life is what stands out to me the most. Mostly because Hiccup and Flik are very similar when you look at the two.

Pretty much, I enjoyed seeing the "Live Action Replacement Hercules Movie" (Clash of the Titans) more than I saw HTTYD. Clash of the Titans had more character development >>; Something that HTTYD severely, and I mean severely lacks. No one changed! Hiccup changed a little, and it felt as though Astrid was changed through force. That and idk, I got a headache when the movie was starting..mostly because everything felt a little rushed. I was just like gee slow down already!!

Maybe it's just me being an asshole critic and my concept development teacher's critical nature was an influence on me, but I just...

..if I had to pick a horrible movie that I would watch rather than HTTYD, it would be The Crow, and that's one horrible movie.

However though, the one thing I did enjoy about HTTYD was the art direction, but most of that credit goes to the fabulous Chris Sanders of course. I just think this movie would be better if they did something..new and spent more than 5 minutes on it. But then again..I have been pretty unimpressed with Dreamworks lately, I haven't had a favorite Dreamworks movie ever since The Road to El Dorado U: Not because it was traditionally animated, but because it was one of their very last films that felt very heart felt and everything felt very strong plot wise and character wise. That and the style is delicious. Spirit was good, it's great, but I didn't get attached. 0: Do any of you have a favorite Dreamworks movie?

I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't concentrate on this stupid Illustration project I have to finish, I can't even overdose on caffeine right now.

I wish I could see a dentist already, but I'm afraid that can't happen until my parents come down and help me move into my new apartment.

Already tried the saltwater thing, it didn't do a thing. Tylenol? I'm all out already. I'll definitely be hitting up the Walgreens down the street once it opens soon. I could go to the 24 hour one..but I lack a great amount of gas to go across town right now as much as I would really like to go for a long drive right now.

Google? Meh, half of the things they say to use I lack until I can go to Walgreens, but I doubt I can get a clove at a Pharmacy store. However, lime juice sounds doable.

So what do you guys do when you have a horrible, excruciating pain in your jaw that makes you want to put a gun to your head? I have a few conclusions, I either have a cavity or my wisdom teeth are trying to grow in. I think it's leaning more towards the wisdom teeth problem because for one, this toothache only isn't just giving me pain in the jaw, but it's starting to give me a massive headache and horrible pains where your jaw is connected. Normally when I have a cavity...I don't even know I do and I never know until I go see a dentist and it's all lol ohhh those silly cavities again. Also, pain from a cavity will only show it's ugly face when I eat something sweet.

This pain however, comes from anything I put into my mouth. Even when I'm just drinking something, not eating a thing, or even find myself sleeping with my mouth open again. Which is why I probably keep waking up in intervals from it. I always try to sleep with my mouth closed but it never seems to stay shut xD; It sucks.

Any help would be awesome..I have no idea what my mom's gonna do or when they're gonna come down, so I have to take care of this myself like a man for now.

Deprive yourself for an entire week, if you're the type of artist who has to draw every day in order to function properly, you will go completely mad by the 4th day or so. This is because your brain is used to always literally shitting out random things on paper on a regular basis, and not drawing for a while will cause your mind to become constipated or something. Here's your constipation medicine.

Revisit your inspirational roots. Hey kid, you remember that cool anime you used to watch when you were in the 5th grade that first made you wanna create characters? Go re watch it, all of it, the rush of inspiration will drive you insane, enough to the point where you'll want to draw fanart for once if you never do it. Oh hey, remember that one artist you thought you out grew or they just stopped posting suddenly? Holy shit they are posting again, you better go fill up on that because while you think you out grew it, you actually didn't. Are you ready to pick up that pencil yet you little fuck?? God damn.

While you're at it kid, you should go use that one program you never use anymore. While you thought it was starting to get lame when you were using it all the time, that break of yours you did to use other programs will enhance your skills at it, shit kid you'll be so pro with it now.

Yes, but I had an awesome time there, I got to meet so many people..too many to name at that. It was pretty overwhelming. I'm still a little out of it to give a full report, but I will just say that I did enjoy myself and I hope I'll be able to make it to some more this summer.

As for art..lets just say I'll be taking a little break, as in for a week or so, I've been drawing so much for the past week I'm out of fuel. q_q; I'll use this time to overdose on some inspiration.

Ah, so I decided to cancel the livestream for tonight, mostly because I have to study for an exam tomorrow and want to guarantee myself an A :c I also need to work on some more cards for this weekend and I need to re-fuel on some inspiration, because I can feel a slight blockage coming through and I need to stop it before it becomes pretty killer. xD; So I'm sorry for those who were waiting on a sketch, maybe tomorrow I'll do it because paypal seems to be pretty quick now. Alright, so I got most of the funding I needed for FWA :D Thanks goes out to everyone who commissioned me in my last journal, you will not be let down I assure you.

Also, after class today I will be doing some discounted sketch commissions on live stream around 6 pm Eastern time, so if you missed out on getting a commission in my last journal you can get a sketch if you like! Don't you just love it when your plans don't go as planned? Well because of that little mishap at Megacon, I've been kind of forced to take in commissions when I didn't necessarily plan to.

I need some funding for FWA, and some for some supplies I need for those trading cards I was working on recently.

So lets be up front here and I hope you can understand. I have some other commissions that need to be taken care of first before I can take care of this batch. I have the people on the list in my profile, a short list on LJ and some people over on DA to take care of once and for all so I can start spending more time here. It's not much, but the problem is my lack of time and school. If I wanna continue going to school here, I have to bring some A's home so my parents can stop breathing down my neck and get off my back. So my work has to come first, then the people who have been waiting. So more than likely, I won't be able to touch this batch until May when I'm out for the summer. The time I have now between classes will be dedicated to my current commissioners. So I guess we can call this the list for summer. Like I mentioned in my commission journal, the best thing to do is to set a deadline or keep in touch with me.

Because I don't have one up and I have to open commissions soon. I: Here goes.

Recently I've been tossing back and forth the idea of raising my prices, due to the fact that I'm in college now, time is limited for me and my work for class has to come first. Also, I'm about to take on some bigger responsibilities, like paying rent for my future apartment and helping out with bills. I will probably never use my commissions for things like that on a regular basis since I am currently looking for a job to have this summer, but I would like it to be something I can fall back on in case of a serious emergency situation. Plus, that's usually when I only take in commissions anyways. I hope this is making sense so far. Another thing that factors into raising my prices is the fact that I got hounded on when I told my teachers and other faculty here at school I do commissions. They had asked how much I sell them for, I told them my usual prices and they pretty much gave me this in depth lecture speech of why I need to be more assertive with my prices. I agreed, but I also shared my feelings with selling stuff online and that sometimes you have to take your audience into consideration. That and it's nice to consider people's budgets, as you know, not everyone on the internet is loaded.

So, taking my own feelings into consideration, I have a wide variety of price ranges and hopefully, there will be something here that everyone can afford. I will also have days during the summer when I offer discounted commissions, simply because I have more time for art during the summer. That and of course, I will continue to do discounted sketches over livestream. (8 Since that has turned out to be very successful.

How long does it take for a commission to be completed?

This really depends on what you order, and the fact that I have a life outside the internet. Sometimes commissions will only take me a week or two, and sometimes it'll take a few months. Normally when I'm not packed with other commissions to do, the general wait time will be a week to a month for small commissions, and a month to 4 months for a large commission. Normally the reason why the wait time is shifted is simply because I'm off doing work for my classes and I don't have time for art outside of class, not even for myself. That, or it can be shifted because I have other commissions to finish before I can get to yours, and once I finish those it's time for school or something and another few months go by until I'm out for break or something. So here's a friendly warning that it's quite the gamble with time if you commission me, sometimes it will be quick and sometimes you will have to wait. I'm trying to fix this, as I know people don't like to wait forever and I hate having a client wait for so long. It ends up making me feel guilty in the long run.

So to avoid waiting for so long, the best thing to do and what I heavily encourage is to keep in contact with me through notes or email, which I will gladly give to you upon your order. Check with me periodically for updates on your current status or others I may be working on at the moment, I will gladly give you a run down on my schedule. I also encourage setting a deadline, this usually works the best as I have found out in the past. I also suggest adding me on Livejournal, because there I update with what's going on with me at the moment that's holding me up from doing art. I also post WIPS and sketches there.

I also ask that you give me space when it comes to completing your commission, It's alright to check up on me maybe once every 3 weeks or so, but if you bug me every week or every day I'm just going to get annoyed. I tend to gladly throw in a little extra for those who have been very patient with me, whether if it's with an upgrade to your commission or an extra piece of art. So if you find yourself waiting for too long, I will definitely pick up on that and find a way to thank you somehow with a nice surprise.

Alright, so I already posted on the LJ community for FWA, but I thought I would make a journal here too.

So I've run into some last minute plan changes, I already had everything settled to go and was gonna take in necessary commissions this weekend to be prepared for next weekend. Though, at the last minute it turns out my roommate and another friend of mine wants to go too. They feel as though it would be better if all of us roomed together and what not, which is understandable since we're all traveling together anyways. Problem is, because of this I have to raise more money than I intended to raise for this, mostly because I have to cover the entire room. This is because one of them can't get in contact with their parents and get the money they need, so they'll pay me back later apparently. The other I owe because she helped me out at Megacon when we ran into problems and had to stay overnight when we weren't intending to, so it's only fair that I pay her back.

So, I was wondering if anyone that was going had extra space for 2 or 3 people to stay in their room or..maybe if there are other last minute goers, they can room with us to help..lower the cost maybe? I'm just trying to find some alternatives here before I make that giant leap and go on some impulse to take in as many commissions as possible to go. :/ I already had my list set, I really wasn't intending to add on more slots.

Also..because they're going now, I can't leave in the morning like I planned to. So we have to leave Thursday evening after their classes and now we're gonna be..kinda stranded at 2 am in the morning because we won't be able to check into a room until Friday around 3 pm. q_q

Ok so I see a lot of people were interested in getting a card xD I drew up 4 last night, got one fully colored. I screwed up the rest of my cards because I was just like FUCK DRAWING REALLY TINY SUCKS so I had to get used to it. But now I am, so I'm going to go get more after class..I only had 10 cards.

They're really fun though c8 I'll definitely be doing more so I can have plenty of examples! Feel free to keep posting on that journal though, I'd like to get a variety of characters going on instead of just..one of the same thing if you know what I mean. Canines are great, but when I get to draw something else for once it's really refreshing and keeps me from getting burned out. |D

Also how much do these things usually sell for? 0: I have no idea how to price mine, my roommate was telling me if I'm going to spend forever on one I should charge a bit. Seriously, she got like..8 done and I was still working on the one I was rendering out in watercolors jlgsdf. I might have to stick with flat colors or try coloring these with my prismas U: Price ideas, I need them.

So I just bought some awesome watercolor trading card..things from the art store, I saw them when I was applying for a job there and was stricken with a wonderful idea. I was still trying to figure out what I was gonna do for the artist alley at FWA and I think I found my answer.

First I would like to see if I can pull these off by doing some examples, so if you would like a trading card or..I think these would be actually ACEOs? I have no idea, but I would like to try doing a few and need some guinea pigs. So post your refs and I'll choose a few from here to do :D That and if you're going to FWA, then I could definitely do one for you and give it to you in person! xD
