AWESOME, MY FIRST CON EVER. EVERYTHING WAS GOING SOOO SWELL. I met up with COOL PEOPLE. Like and and her crew.

Then for some reason all of my money disappeared and it ruined everything. Paypal was not fast enough to get all of that money I made during livestream to my account, along with money that was in there.

I was so upset, my money mostly went missing because the vet that I took my kittens to STILL MAKES WITHDRAWALS from my account to pay off those bills from those guys and they decided they would take money out this week n_N I had no idea. I was like, how did I spend $385 in 4 days??????????? HOW?? HAS MY IDENTITY BEEN STOLEN???// I was so frustrated and angry because there was no internet connection and I couldn't access my bank account to figure out why and I couldn't get a hold of my bank statement by calling. IT SUCKED. So my roommate had to help me out and we ended up staying an extra day because we were just..both so frustrated, there was no way we could drive back like that.

So while she went back to the convention, I stayed out in the food court and got tons of owed commissions done, as in like..5 sketch commissions..which is a lot for me, in a day. I'll have them scanned in for those people tomorrow after class!!

As for the livestream that was planned for tonight, I'm gonna have to cancel, I just got back from driving from Orlando and I'm kinda beat. However! I will be doing it again this week, a few times. I wanna try doing it a few days this week after my classes. If it's possible, you'll see a journal for it. If not, then I'll be doing it on Friday. The people who have already paid will be moved to the top of the list that we had going, since it's only fair. 0: After those guys are done, I may have to start the list over because I don't want it to become some huge list of commissions to do and have people pay in advance. xD; That's not how I really wanted it to work, just like..a first come first serve thing, when I'm done with a sketch that's when you pay. You know, just pretty much doing as many as I can in one sitting. 0: So yes, I'll try and do it again this week for sure because I have to start..re-saving for FWA again since my money just..vanished out of nowhere. Yes, for today only. I've been bed ridden all week, so I haven't been able to get to those icons like I intended, apparently my body wasn't agreeing with my mind when it was all GET TO WORK. I'm feeling a little better today, so I thought I would make it up by doing some sketch commissions on livestream! They will be first come, first serve and for today only..discounted. Normally my sketch commissions start at $15 for plain sketches, but today they will be $8 for busts, $10 for full body, and $5 extra if you want color added. I'm doing quads only for full body though, I don't think I can handle the frustration of trying to get some anthro body to look right in only a matter of minutes, since I would like this to work in a timely fashion, unless you want a toony anthro. If you're already waiting on a sketch commission from me, and you would like to see your sketch commission done on livestream in Paint Tool Sai feel free to let me know! Otherwise, I will still be completing your sketch traditionally. I'm going to try and do this for a few good hours today, with breaks inbetween. So keep an eye on this journal for updates.

For some reason I feel safe and secure enough to ask this here, as opposed to DA, but does anyone wanna add me on Skpye? I feel like I don't know enough people who use it, and sometimes instead of just chatting over IM I do like talking over Skype, especially when I'm busy doing something......like now, I have about 4 sketchbooks to sort through and scan in so I can prepare a few sketchdumps. I went to the doctor's office today, and most of you guys were right. It was bronchitis that I have, which is weird, I've never had it before in my life. YAY FOR NEW SICKNESSES IN YOUR LIFE.

Sad part is, all the medicine I have makes me drowsy and I'm stubborn and refuse to take it unless I'm going to bed. Idk how this gonna work out, I want to get work done, but I also want to get better. Maybe short naps during the day will do it. I just woke up from one not too long ago.

I'm going to open them when I'm done with my current batch since I find that only fair for those who have been waiting longer than they should have been waiting, I don't usually take longer than 2 weeks for icons. I took in my first batch at a really bad time, going into my fall semester for animation and I got booked with tons of classwork, with only a little bit of time for art outside my class work, topped off with a winter break that was full of stress from what happened during the previous semester. It was awful, these guys have been amazingly patient, and they deserve everything in the world right now.

So.

I will be finishing them first. If I can get 4 done tonight again, and the rest done tomorrow, you can probably see to it that by Friday I will be opening for them again.

So lately I've been having this really bad cough, it started out as a minor tiny cough every now and then, I thought it would you know..blow over soon. NOOO PROBLEMMMM.

Well it's been doing nothing but getting worse every day, to the point where I feel like I'm hacking up axes and knives and shit. My throat is constantly sore now and it hurts to WAKE UP!! from sleeping because I feel like I'm about to die from a lack of being able to breathe properly. As if some asshole dunked me underwater in some swimming pool and held me under for a good five minutes and I finally manage to kick him in the balls somehow all like HEY JACKASS WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, yet I'm struggling to say this because I WAS JUST HELD UNDERWATER FOR 5 MINUTES AND I NEED TO BREATHE. I sound like your grandmother's 13 year old fat persian cat who still has a terrible hairball problem ever since it was 2 years old but YOUR GRANDMOTHER DIDN'T CARE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. She thought it was cute!! MRS.SUGARPLUMGUMDROPMOOKIEBUTTS BOUGHT ME A SURPRISE.

Ok I think I've gotten the point across, that's how bad it is or I wouldn't be trying to come up with silly analogies.

Also it's weird, it's just the cough that's killing me, I'm not congested or anything. It's just the stupid cough that's making me feel bad. Does anyone know what it might be or..have you ever experienced this before? I would go to a doctor..but it's the weekend, so I would have to wait until next week.

It's really upsetting too because it's hindering my productive streak I was on last weekend, I had it scheduled to get some work done today but I've been doing nothing but sleeping. Does anyone know how to get livestreaming to work on a PC without the use of a camera? I've been wanting to stream my commissions, but I can't figure out how to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :>

Hey everyone, just wanted to update a little on my commission status since I had a few people asking.

As of now, I'm trying to clear out all of my current ones and I'm hoping to have that done this week, I've already noted a few of my commissioners with in progress stuff. I was trying to shoot for getting everything done this weekend, but I have some assignments for class to tend to first since midterms are closing in. However, if I can get all of my icon commissions done, I will be accepting new commissions for those. I'm going to be taking in 5 slots for the first round, just to see how fast I can get those done and if I can finish those quickly, I'll just keep taking in five after each round. It seems pretty doable since I'm comfortable with doing at least 2 a day now, with having one or more in progress to do for the next day.

Also, I need to get in gear and start saving up for FWA and try to see if I can get a little for megacon which is happening soon. I might have to pull this off with auctions, but first I have to complete a piece from an auction I held in December since I promised the completion by Spring. So I wanted to ask what people were interested in as far as getting art from me goes so I can think of something to auction off.

Which brings me to asking would anyone be interested in adoptables from me? As in purchasing designs? They would probably be $2-$5 each. If so, what kind of animal or anthro would people be interested in me trying to design?

Oh, and someone just informed me that I reached 2000+ watchers! I've been completely oblivious, but thank you everyone! I know don't really reply to comments very often, but I really appreciate all the faves and comments you guys leave. The more I spend time here, the more I'm leaning towards to being more active here than on my other accounts and such. So, thank you all for watching me and sticking with me! So, I talked to my mom about going to some conventions this year and she agreed that if I can find my way to getting there and making the money to go, I can well..go. It was weird explaining to her the whole fur con business thing, but pretty I got it across to her.

Pretty much I'm still setting up some plans on how to get there and to set up a schedule for myself to get my current commissions done so I can take in new ones. I kind of refuse to take in any new ones while I still have ones I owe. Though in order to do this, I need to figure out how much I need to go, and I need to find some roommates so I can figure out how much I'll need for a room.

I already found the lj community for FWA, but I thought I'd ask here first if anyone knew some people who are looking for roommates and what not. I'd kind of like to, well..you know, room with someone I'm familiar with if that makes any sense.

Hey there everyone, I hope you're all doing well! I apologize I never got to livestream last weekend, but I believe whenever I do sit down and do some commissions, I will livestream them. c: I've been taking a bit of a break from the internet lately in general, and this usually picks up on the weekends when I go out with my roommates, I hope you all don't mind. It's been hindering my opportunity to do art in general, even for classes haha.

So um, I decided to do a few things to take advantage of my break per say, one for instance is to get more enriched in movies. My roommate has realized that I'm..very movie deprived. She's right too, every movie she names I'm just like "oh..no I haven't seen it all!" and she just freaks out and goes into this frenzy OH NO YOU HAVE TO SEE IT, WE MUST FIX THIS!!!! So she's compiling this huge, epic list of movies for us to watch every day or so. So, I ask, what movies do you guys suggest is a "must see" for the average viewer. Some stuff I've seen lately are Ironman, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I saw The Fantastic Mr.Fox the other day at my club meeting... umm...and today we watched Labyrinth, Young Frankenstein and Silence of the Lambs. Pretty much movies like those because I'm lame and only saw animated movies growing up..with a few live action movies on the side. These include Schindler's List, Pride and Prejudice, all the Jurassic Parks, Interview with the Vampire, Amadeus..and..a few others. Other than that, I haven't seen many major movies. :c So suggestions would be lovely!

Also, another thing I'm doing along side of this traditional piece I'm preparing for a commissioner, is to do a few sculpts of my characters, mostly two for now. I was gonna take the easy route and get custom orders from Patched Together since I've spoken to them about it before..but the prices are ridiculous. So I thought it would be more economical and more rewarding to make them myself, especially if they turn out successful. So far, I'm still buying stuff to prepare the armatures, I haven't touched down on getting sculpey just yet. I figured the most important thing to do would be to focus on getting the armature nice and ready first..along with sketching out the pose and such. I need to get that down haha. So um, I was also wondering if anyone had any knowledge or advice on tackling sculpting? It would be much appreciated. c8

Hey guys, I forget to update over here sometimes haha. Well, I moved back to Sarasota last weekend to get ready for college again. I started classes this week and I feel safe to say that I will have enough free time on my hands to get owed work done this semester, so you'll be seeing more than you saw last semester. You'll definitely be seeing more because at some point this semester I wanted to open up for commissions in the spring to go FWA and California for Spring Break, and I promised myself I wouldn't take in anymore commissions until I have everything else done. :/ So I hope that's good enough motivation for me. I also got a brand new PC to replace my old one, and I tend to do more work on it than my laptop. So, I guess just be on the lookout for an increase in submissions from me! I just need to get my scanner working now..

Hey everyone, I just got off for Winter Break! So that means I'll be updating more and I'll have tons of time for commissions now. I've been getting a few notes about commissions and I just want to let you guys know that I will be starting on them once I get settled in at home next week. Meaning, I need to recover from this semester and all the all-nighters I've been pulling to pay my sleep debt, that and not to mention recover from driving for 12 hours to get home. Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since I've checked in. I had a great Thanksgiving and I hope the rest of you guys did too. Unfortunately these last two weeks are going to be the death of me and I wont be able to touch anyone's commissions or trades until Winter Break comes..which isnt far away. I have this week and next week and that's it. C: I do have a few of you guys' sketches scanned in though, when I clean those up I will note those people. So you guys can start expecting to see some commissions done starting the week of December 14th, also I may be starting a waiting list for a few holiday commissions. So it wasnt until shortly after I made a post over on DA about Patch Together and wanting to think about submitting a few designs that a whole herd of sparkledogs came out of nowhere and completely turned me off from submitting any designs, that or I didnt notice until I took a look through the recent submissions. I'm still thinking about it, but with all the rage hate that's going on there about those sorts of designs..it's a little...offsetting if you know what I mean. It's like "Oh, well gee, people will only see my designs as another boring animal design." or something along those lines. What are you guys' input about this epidemic? It's kind of a disappointing to see such a good design website being down-trotted with such silly designs and poorly thought out ones..and..pretty much people submitting something for the hell of it or to get recognition. If I were still going to submit designs, what should I keep in mind? I already know that I was going to try and get feedback on my designs before I put them up on PT for final critique and voting, and pretty much do rough drafts and what have yous. That and I wasnt going to rush into this either, for one because I want to take my time to brainstorm and because I dont have the time right now in the first place to really make model sheets for designs at the moment..school is still killing me. So for now, the best thing I can do is make plans and think about good ways to execute my designs. With that being said, I kind of want to avoid doing something that's been done and want to do some stylized drawings of animals that havent been touched down on there yet. Like for example, in the middle of critique the other day in my animation class..we were watching someone's animation with a koala walking and it sparked the idea of a koala figure. So I sketched out a koala and for some reason..it came out Hawaiian..I dont even..know

..but

at the same time, I thought it'd make an interesting figure. It's a koala girl with a flower behind her ear and she's clinging to a tree trunk that also has flowers in it. Then that began to spark more ideas with animal figurines with that sort of idea to it. Like if I were to do another, it would be an otter on a rock with a possible stream or something like that. You know? I'm just throwing out ideas for now. However still..I'm a bit hesitant with all the recent mishap going on with animals designs. I: So with that said, are there any particular things anyone would like to see as a toy? I'm heavily considering doing these designs in my more exaggerated style since I'm starting to get a good grip on that again..

Also..my scanner broke last night. My mom had sent it to me the other day and for some reason it's just..not working. I had two sketch commissions sketched up that I wanted to color too, including Patch's that I've been meaning to scan in for the longest. ; ; I still havent forgotten. I'm seeking out a new scanner right now, so hopefully when I get it I can get back on the ball with commissions again because I'm starting to feel that drive starting to come back a little..that and guilt is starting to take it's toll on me. Are you a furry?

At this point I dont even know anymore and I'm pretty unsure. I'm kind of at this stage in my life right now where I'm really starting to learn things about myself and just constantly trying to find answers.. you know, kind of like wondering what the hell your sexuality is and such when you're really unsure. However, by anyone outside the fandom I'd probably be considered one just because I draw them a lot and tend to like animal characters more than human ones. I: I know a friend of mine constantly teased me by calling me a furry every time he saw me drawing one of my characters..and it used to really piss me off. Though now when he does it I'm just "If that's what you want to call them.." and surprisingly he doesnt do it anymore..heh. So it's more of a progression..I used to get really aggravated when people called me one, now I just kind of accept it as a "Whatever" sort of deal, I find it's more easy because they just leave you alone or accept it and forget about it and move on. So I guess the short tl;dr answer would be "I'm not sure, but for now..no, not really, I don't consider myself one."

How long have you been in the community?
Probably since...gee, I dont even know. I wanna say ever since I was on neopets lolol. Because back then I was drawing animal characters more than before and drawing anthros without even knowing what furry meant. Pretty much I was into it before the term furry got a bad name and it used to be the ~*cool*~ thing. So that would mean I've been into it ever since I was in..the..6th grade or so. It's really funny..I was pretty oblivious to the term before it became so..stereotyped. Seriously, I was friends with a real hardcore furry and a few others and we roleplayed all the time and he got me into furcadia and I didnt even realize what it meant or what it was back then..I just thought it was fun. I: I remember always wondering what the hell "yiff" meant. I was such a silly 13 year old.

Neopets..!! and later on..mostly from furcadia.

Art pretty much..and more recently the people, I find I feel better and more secure around people that are in this sort of community or know about it.

I'm not so sure anymore..there's so many definitions for it now. I always thought it was someone who pretty much self-proclaimed themselves as one, loved drawing animals and anthros and was just..idk really hardcore into it. I guess people who really see it as apart of their life in a sense..

I dont even know..at first I'd be pretty embarrassed and wouldnt know what to say. Though in the end I'd probably be like "I like animals and I like drawing them, so what? Am I a bad person for this..?"

All the drama and pretty much sex really, it feels so..unnecessary..? I know there's always going to be those two things in any fandom, but for some reason it's just..more emphasized in the furry fandom.

I'm kinda iffy on this, it's interesting to read up on this stuff but I feel like it's unnecessary once again.. you know? It's kinda like "Okay cool, now lets go bash on your fandom since you feel like you can bash on everyone else's."

If it's based on the media aspect, then at that point I'll just roll my eyes and forget about it because the media has pretty much obscured what furry is and what it means. Pretty much you're getting someone bashing you who hasnt a clue about what they're saying..

Hey everyone, just figured I'd update concerning an issue I've been having lately. As of recent circumstances with my class assignments and such..and how..overwhelming it's starting to become (..learning Maya and trying to animate in it all at once for the first time + traditional animation |8 ..plus concept.) I've been heavily considering taking a break from doing commissions to pull myself together art wise. So I was wondering how my commissioners would feel about that..? I know some people cant stand waiting for a long period of time on something they've paid for so I thought I'd ask before I do so. It's just, I'm starting to feel really burned out from doing commissions because I've been at it all summer and could really use a break to stretch my fingers a bit. Like literally, about 98% of what I submitted to my gallery here and over on DA have been commissions. So I'm thinking a break would be in order, it wouldnt last very long I think because I'd start to get that guilty feeling, but just enough time to re-energize my inspiration and creativity juices. That and I'd really like a chance to explore different styles and stylizing more..I've only been able to do it at a minimum in between my commissions I did this summer. I'm starting to feel the small grip I had on stylizing more slip away because lately I've been drawing in my..normal style even though my mind's all like "MUST STYLIIZZZEEEEEEE, MUST PLAY WITH SHAPES, MUST....BREAK OUT OF REALITY" and my hand's just like "no".

So..thoughts on this? I'm going to be finishing the commissions I took in the spring first before I take my break so that would just leave me with the commissions I took in mid-August and make..everything fair I suppose ( that and make me feel at ease.)  Blondefoxy, I've been meaning to note you, but I found a really large canvas in the dumpster the other day. A PERFECTLY good canvas that could be put to good use, so I was thinking about upgrading your commission to an acrylic painting instead of a pastel drawing. C: It'd be way bigger than what you were going to originally receive, so I thought that could make up for the extended wait time. More than likely after my break I'll be redrawing everyone's icons..which I was going to do anyways, some I'm not too fond of anymore. However, the ones I have lineart for will still be colored up and finished before I take my break since I'm satisfied with those and adore coloring to bits. So just about everyone will be receiving something a little extra for waiting, whether it's a small upgrade or an extra sketch due to the fact that I've already done some of these sketch commissions..but some I'm not too happy with anymore because i kinda rushed through them. That's another reason why I want to take a break because I have very little time for commissions now..and if I do manage to do a commission, I have to rush through them in order to move on to doing an assignment for class. Which I hate doing because I end up hating the commission later and feel really guilty for rushing. q_q

So does this sound reasonable..??..or what? I dont want to upset anyone by having to make them wait...

Hey guys, just thought I'd update over here and let you guys know that I finally moved back down to Ringling for college this year. I made it back in on Friday, also earlier last week I picked up my ragdoll kittens! They werent in the best of shape when I picked them up and I honestly didnt know why I didnt check them out before i left the breeder...like I was wondering why their fur was so flat looking and short when I saw them, but I figured they'd just have to grow into it..?? Though I found out it was because they were parasite ridden, like horribly...parasite ridden. I was pretty infuriated because it was too late for me to get my money back or anything of the sort. So I've taken them to the vet and got them fixed up and such and now they're fine, especially the little girl, she loves everyone. Her brother still hasnt really come around just yet, but he just needs more time I suppose. As for my status on commissions, they will be coming rather slowly because school is in session right now. However I'm going to try and get as many commissions done as possible before my workload becomes insane. So I hope you guys that are waiting on commissions can understand that my work comes first for me. ; ; It's very important. Also I dont know if I've shared this here, but I do upgrade my commissions if I find out I'm taking too long on them (I.e a few months to a whole year, though hopefully that wont be the case.) So you guys are free to note me about your commission and ask how it's coming or what I'm up to right now that's holding me from commissions, it's fine, I understand concerns with this matter. I'm just letting you guys know that there's a possibility of extended wait time. So that's why I do the upgrading, because I know that sometimes I'll have multiple assignments to work on and I cant work on anything else, not even personal art for myself. So with that said, I will be finishing up the icons that have wips for them and coloring all my sketches I have drawn up, making that my first batch. Then from there, I'll proceed with everyone else that hasnt received a wip yet and those that I promised to work with closely on getting their characters drawn up right due to not really having a good reference at hand at such. Alright, so for the past hour or so I've been sitting here looking up tips on pet travel and what not. I'll be driving back to Sarasota, FL next Friday and I'll be bringing my two kittens with me. I'm assuming they're about 4 months old or somewhere between 3 and 4 months. For some reason the breeder I'm getting them from doesnt know for sure but she kinda suffers from memory loss so oh well, that may explain it haha. So anyways, this trip will be a 9-10 hour drive for me..and my first time driving on my own at that, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on traveling with cats..?? I only have experience with traveling with dogs for almost an hour and short trips to the vet with my other three cats. This will be the first time I've done this so I'm trying to seek out as much advice and as many tips as possible. Another thing I'm worried about is the fact that I'm also trying to get the both of them fixed before I head out and I was wondering if that would be wise to do..? I figured it would be better while they're at a relaxed state and would be more prone to sleeping, however I'm a bit weary about what could occur such as nausea, motion sickness, etc. I'm pretty sure I'll probably have to ask my vet about that, but I'm just trying to see if anyone's had any experience with this sorta thing before.
