So about half a year ago, I was banned, and when people are banned, their shouts tend to be disabled by the admins. However my ban was reversed, and I think the admins forgot to give me shouts back. :P I didn't notice this till recently. So if you tried to shout, and noticed they are disabled, thats why.

I've gone through all the settings on FA, there are none that let you enable or disable shouts. Which is interesting really. Many people wish to be able to disable shouts themselves. If the admins can flip a switch for that, surely they could add a new setting to the user profiles to do that right? Right there next to the one for disabling notes.

But anyway, I'll leave this up till I get my shouts back.

There's some bizarre issues we're facing out here. So lemme explain from the beginning, and remove my older journal about it.

So, my dad had a trip to Boston for a single day to do an interview about 2 weeks ago. Within roughly a few days of returning, he got sick. He got the rapid test multiple times, each time it was false, 3 times in a row, so he assumed flu. He came and told me he was sick.

I got sick 2 days later, while he was recovering. I assumed because his tests were all negative, that it was the flu. So, I walked around town, into stores and such no mask like any normal person with the flu would have done pre-2019. I bought cold and flu medicine, and chicken noodle soup. I did however take precautions, and told the guy I had the flu when we were checking out so I held the items up for him to scan instead of handing everything to him and I avoided touching anything I didn't need or directly breathing onto anything. Like I would have before the pandemic anyway.

I got pretty sick one night, had a desperately hard time sleeping all week, I went to the local walk in clinic to ask about flu advice because it was hitting me hard and I don't get flu shots. They decided to test me for covid and the flu, an over night test I guess. Flu, negative, covid, positive.

I told my dad, he starts freaking out like I'm contagious to him, yet he's the one who gave it to me. He went and got another test, it was positive, barely. Then he gets a 5th test again the next morning, negative. So now he's under the assumption that the 4 negatives are right, and the positive is wrong, and that I'm contagious to him...

Here's the thing I'm confused with. How can 4 tests be negative when he's the one who gave it to me? I can't prove it either. I don't have any other potential source of contact with anyone who had covid either. I don't go partying or hanging out with people or anything, there's not really any place I could have gotten it at. The only sick person I encountered, was my dad. I have all the same symptoms he did. It had to be him!

I can't find any information online about the reliability of tests, I was hoping to find research that would show the chances of a false negative, and the chances of a false positive. If the false positive rate is 1% and the false negative rate is 40%, for example, it would certainly explain things.

Now, I'm not in the habit of doing the blame game thing, but in my particular case, I want to figure out where the point of contact was, who got who sick, and where it came from and where it went.

Now that I know I'm positive, I put a mask on if I need to go inside some place. Like yesterday when I did laundry. Today I just stood outside the pizza place a certain distance and called them to place my order by phone and they brought it out to me. So I'm taking precautions now that I know. Not that it helps because the fact is, I was walking around no mask inside places while I was fairly sick, to buy stuff to manage the symptoms with.

Its particularly interesting, considering, I did research online to compare symptoms between cold, flu, and covid, and I had all the flu symptoms, even ones that happen more in flu than covid, and not a single covid symptom. The flu and covid are now almost perfectly identical in symptoms (at least for the vaccinated). Thats pretty bad cause we won't be able to tell the differences anymore, but at the same time its good because it means the lethality is reducing. It only lasted about the same duration as a flu for me. 4-5 days. Now I just have residual pain and some occular migraines.

So, if you can help me out with information about the false positive and false negative rates of the rapid tests, compared to the rates for other test methods and even flu test rates, that'd be great. I need some scientifically verified information possibly even from a .gov website.

Can it happen? Can you be racist against white people? How about sexist against men? What do you think? Does it happen? Is it a crime?

Today I encountered a furry attacking an artist I know on FA, for posting some meme containing (((white people))) or something in it. They claimed that the post was antisemitic, which means, anti-jew. I'm sitting there trying to figure out how exactly its anti-jew. I notice that the guy who was attacking, has his profile tagged with "brown gay trans nonbinary" and some other junk, and many of his posts use the phrase "white people". As if he is racist against white people.

Needless to say, I commented, I suggested a possible meaning to the meme that I thought, and then I said his profile is the classic example of an extreme leftist. He of course, blocked me, and hid his profile from other people too. xD

Someone else whom I won't be naming also took a look at their profile after, apparently this guy posts a lot of racist stuff against white people apparently. Its really interesting that he gets to do this. God forbid you say anything against any other color of the rainbow, because twitter would ban you in a heartbeat. Its a classic thing these days, you seem to be allowed to be racist only against whites, and sexist only against men. New age feminists do it all the time, calling men pigs and whatnot, or worse. But you call a woman that, or a trans that, oh god you're sexist, or transphobe, or something-phobe! I can't even tell people I have Aspergers on twitter without being called a Nazi.

Seriously, whats the world come to, when intolerance is allowed against a specific group of people? Is leftism winning? I mean, I took a political test today and I am pretty in on the left side and the libertarian side. People often claim I'm some Trump supporter, Nazi, or other rightwing garbage. No one uses their brain anymore.

I think everyone's the same, I don't see any difference between you, or the guy next to you, regardless of what color your skin is, whether your sex organs dangle or not, or what pronoun you glue to your forehead so people will call you it. A person is a person, regardless of their circumstances, and if you say something stupid, I will call you out on it, its not racist, or sexist, or phobic. Its just me, being an asshole. I am free to be an asshole to whomever I want, whenever I want, however I want. Don't like it? Too bad. Perhaps you should learn to move on, and not make every little comment an agenda to erase someone from the internet.

So, the next time you want to attack someone for something that offended you. Stop, think for a moment. Is it really worth it? Did they -really- offend you? Did they even know that on some obscure forum somewhere on the internet someone made up a thing about (((this))) being antisemitic? Which its not. No, you can't tell me it is. Nothing you say, will convince me. Not even proof you obtain anywhere. Consider the fact, that maybe what is being said, isn't really meant to be offensive. Maybe its meant to be funny. Maybe they just haven't heard of that obscure fake thing you did. Maybe its just text on a screen and you should stop flipping out about it. Most importantly, you should remember. The block button is for pussies, and when you use it, you admit that you are a pussy, and deserve to be treated like a crybaby hiding in a corner. ;) Real men don't run away from a difference of opinion. I certainly don't. I disagree with a local guy who makes false claims about the war and the president and everything else all the time, and I try my best every time I'm there to discuss otherwise and change his mind. I never win, because rightwingers can't change, but eh. I don't cancel him from the town or anything. xD

I'm posting my review here as well, because you're not allowed to mention social politics if you think the movie is bad, on IMDB. IMDB rigs movie reviews based on how many social agenda checkboxes a movie ticks off and Moonfall hits the diversity bullshit perfectly. So here goes the review I'm waiting to see if they reject.

So, first up. Lets address the fact that they filled this movie with worthless characters that were to be killed off to make damn sure they met their social justice quota. Like that redneck white man who was a bad guy, stealing everything from everyone. Gotta kill a redneck white man if you want your movie to be rated better am-I-right? Oh and all them military guys where the only one allowed to not be stupid, was the black guy. Oh how hilariously this movie filled its diversity quota in all the most hilarious and predictable ways.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people of any nation, race, color, whatever, doing things in any position. But if you make it as obviously terrible as you did here, it becomes laughable. You can't take those people seriously anymore.

Hah, they even claim in the movie that "billions of years ago, we solved all war and social issues". xD Oh thats great. Thats hilarious. Had to chunk that into the movie as if it wasn't already obvious enough by showing a thriving civilization huh?

Now lets move on to the science. Oh wait, there wasn't any.

The moon somehow deorbits in a week. Oxygen disappears from the surface for a few hours only.. Cell phones still work after the moon has washed away all satellites... Moon gained mass, somehow? Moon scrapes the surface of the planet and the planet is not permanently destroyed.... Moon returns to its position and somehow everything goes back to normal.

Oh and last, the fact that this movie is just an anti-AI movie. I feel like the makers wanted to make sure people come away from the movie thinking AI is wrong and shouldn't happen.

The only reason this isn't 1 or zero stars, is because the graphics were great. I loved the visuals. If only they hadn't screwed it up with the science portion. The social agendas might not have been as bad, if they had gotten even a single scientific thing accurate. I mean, even just one scientific thing. They couldn't even do that.

Thats the exact stuff I put on my review on IMDB. That movie, was total garbage. xD Hilariously terrible crap.

I was hoping that Eyenoom would be able to, but she seems quite busy right now. I'm looking for artists that might be able to do a ref sheet for me based on a text description and examples from other people's characters/art. I'm not very good at describing myself though. I am however a quadruped, fluff dragon, and might like to have multiple frames for displaying different aspects as I've seen in some ref sheet types.

I am however, rather poor. I am on disability which barely pays anything, so I can't afford anything super expensive, or would need some sort of payment plan type deal. I would like to see multiple choices though to decide which artist's style I like more.

Please don't use notes to give me suggestions, comment here. Its not gonna kill you to advertise yourself or your friend publicly. :P

I think FA really needs a commissioning system. Something for artists to handle commissions on the site, details and everything. A special page where they can set up a commission with someone, or perhaps they click an option and commissions are open with a certain number of slots and non-blocked users can take a slot to discuss. Obviously there should be a buffer of some kind so that if someone is rejected, another can be chosen. Anyway, the reason why I would like an in site version, is that scamming artists will be flagged for being risky and possibly, eventually, banned. All the proof would be right there on the site after all.

I'd also like to see some systems for YCHs and Raffles, included in this system. Some new way to handle these that allows the site to handle randomly picking or to allow bid buttons to be placed on slots. it would then show up in your notification bar as 1Y or 1R, YCH/Raffle.

---

Raffles;
This would be possibly the easiest of them to do. Non-blocked users can load the page, look at the raffle rules, and then click "Enter Raffle". Their ticket number would be listed as "Pending", for the artist to approve it or not if the artist gave conditions. If the artist left it completely open, then the ticket number would auto generate. If one of the conditions is to post a journal about the raffle, you could put your journal ID in the slot next to "Enter" and it would allow the artist to quickly view the proof of it and approve.

Certain terms here can also include that you must be an FA+ member, or someone who has sent the artist money in the last x days using that thing I can't remember the name of on profile pages that lets you send random money. :P It would be annoying, but, it should be an option in the raffle system.

After the raffle ends, the commission page would open for the winner and the artist, allowing them to discuss the terms and everything. The raffle already has the terms in it, like "line art" and such stuff. So that would be the default information put into the commission page once its created and the artist can edit as needed during the conversation with the user.

YCH;
A YCH would be a little more complex, due to the number of slots being an unknown max. I think the system should allow 20 slots maximum, cause anything more would be flat out ridiculous. I think I've seen some with as many as 8 slots but that was the most I've seen personally. Each slot would have a Bid button. The art included should have them named "Slot A" or "Slot 1" and so on. Then you select if you used numbers or alphabet for slots, how many slots there are, and the YCH page would auto create the bid buttons for the slots. This would only allow people who aren't blocked, to bid.

Artist can set the start bid, the min bid increase, and the auto buy (0 for none). Clicking "Bid" without entering anything, enters the default minimum. Auto bid should not be an option. Entering AB should auto bid the max and close the slot till the artist chooses to accept or invalidate that winner.

The artist can set things like a time limit for the auction. They can also choose to add in last minute bid protection, to stop someone from waiting till the last 3 seconds to send a bid in, allowing the artist to choose that the auction will continue for 3 more hours, or 6 more hours, or 1 more day, after a bid has been given.

There should also be a warning included amongst the users who bid, and a warning to the author, that Slot 1 is bidding with someone he has blocked in Slot 4. That would help prevent some conflicts as well. If winner of slot 1 is blocked by, or is blocking the winner of slot 4, then the two would need to talk it out and make sure its not going to be a problem.

Once the YCH is over, this opens a group commission page with the art type that the artist has already agreed to before hand.

Artist Side: Commission;
You should have a page with your commission types and prices listed for various things. Things like "Anthro" "Wings" "Feral/Quadruped", "Taur", etc. You fill in various price changes based on these things in either a positive or negative number. If you like doing Anthros for example and want to provide a discount on it, you enter -10, to subtract $10 from the base price. If you don't like doing wings, you can put in 10, to add $10. If you won't do Taurs at all, type X to disable the option completely.

The artist sets up their costs for various types of art, line art, sketch, colored, digital, whatever else there is. This is the first thing the user will choose on entering the commission system. An X in any box, disables it, it shows up but as greyed out.

The artist can also select whether they want the money up front, or "half now half after" or whatever other options. A slider will allow them to show how much they want up front and how much after. The artist can also check if they will only send the final works after the full payment is sent. They may select whether they will also include PSDs and work files with payment or if they retain the rights to everything they did and are just letting the user show what they paid for. AKA, if the artist has the right to delete it from your gallery any time they choose or if the artist is giving up that right and letting you own what you paid for.

Cancellations and stages of cancellation can be defined. If you want the commissioner to get a full refund after sketch, you can flag sketch stage as full refind. If you do the lineart stage, but you decide you will only give back 90% for line art stage, you can define that. Each stage is something you can choose the amount you refund on that stage.

When the artist has put in every option they want to allow commissioners to have, they save it to their profile, and then at any time they can click "Open Commissions" and include a slot count and a buffer slot count. Say, they want to open 5 slots, and they include a buffer of 3. That means 8 people can take the slots, the first 5 are given the first chance, and the buffer 3 are warned that they have entered the buffer and may not get their commission. The artist can also choose to accept the buffer slots as well however, so that would allow 8 slots to be used out of the 5 in this case of accepting all.

Commissioners / Users;
If you are looking to commission, you find an artist who has slots open. You click "Commission this artist", and enter a page with all the details of price changes on each option and whats disabled. You see the terms as well and decide if you wish to proceed. Before you can begin filling anything out, you click proceed. This puts you in the queue as "pending", reserving that slot for you if you fill in all the details within x time, perhaps 10 minutes? Maybe 15 minutes? If you haven't by then, you lose the slot but you can still save and send it and hopefully get a slot or buffer slot.

You may not commission an artist who has you blocked. That would be silly!

After you've chosen all the options available to you, you are given a large input box that lets you put in special details and information. At the end of this, the customer / artist rights are displayed. If you retain the rights to the art, you get a green "Customer owns the art", but if the artist has decided that they own the art, its a red "Artist owns the art". You can click it to see what this means if you need to. You also see how much you must pay up front, and at what stages of cancellation you get refunds.

YCH/Raffles
These are special case commissions, artists will enter a temporary set of details and restrictions as if setting up a commission page, such as what type of art it will be, and what restrictions there are such as "no ferals" "no taurs" and whatnot. Once the user joins and wins these, the details are prefilled into the commission page with options the artist chose to leave unlocked ready for the winner to choose.

Active Commission;
The artist and the commissioner(s) get a special in FA page system that allows the artist to select what stage they are currently in and share drafts for each stage. These drafts are temporary and are held on FA for a certain amount of time before being disposed of.

Stage 0: Discussion
You two are given note-style input boxes to describe everything. You can also discuss things outside of FA, but you must bring your results of the discussion to FA to have FA's protection against fraud. One of you must post the details of the external discussion, and the other must confirm that the details are accurate.

Stage 1: Pending
Once both of you have finished the discussion stage, the artist can put the commission to pending stage. The artist is doing other tasks, perhaps other artwork, or even waiting for payment from you. Once the artist is ready to get to your work, they can click "Sketch stage".

Stage 2: Sketching
The artist is now allowed to upload drafts to share, and they are able to discuss note style again (or externally with the same requirement of bringing things back with confirmation for protection). Once the user has confirmed that they are happy with the sketches, the next stage can begin. Each stage follows the same details as this one.

Each stage here has a request cancellation button, which informs the artist immediately that there is a cancellation request. Perhaps FA can even add browser based notifications that can alert an artist with a popup or ping of some kind.

At the final stage, the artist has the right to hold back the art till complete payment has been made, and if they have chosen to give everything over, they are able to upload any files relevant to the project. The commission page is kept as archived for x time, perhaps 1 year after which drafts are deleted and the remaining text only version stays behind, possibly for the length of the account.

Conclusion
I believe this would help protect people from scam artists with the fact that an artist who deliberately scams you will be banned and give artists some more security as well against charge backs with the simple risk that the user will be banned from FA if they issue a chargeback after confirming everything. This would also help improve YCHs and Raffles on the site giving some better features to them rather than using comments to try and host it and such.

It would probably be quite complex to set up, and I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, but, I'll let you guys tell me what you think of everything here I've detailed out and I can edit it later to include anything I forgot with edit notations and time stamps. :P

A long time ago, when discord was new, I wanted to start a group for all my friends to hang out in and stuff and a place where people can talk freely without being banned at the whims of a rogue admin. I have a habit of being banned from places because of the way I talk, people just don't like my blunt forwardness. I'm a rude sarcastic asshole after all! Sometimes. I don't care if you disagree with me on a subject. I don't care if you piss me off. You will only get banned if you deserve it. That means if you come in and start shouting racist stuff and stirring up problems on purpose, you will be banned. However, if you just disagree with me on things, even if it gets heated, you won't be. That is at least, in my personal discord.

I have also set up several game discords, one for the developers of Take on Mars who didn't know how to at the time but I still maintain it. My game discords are run by a higher standard of rules, I may have to ban you if you cause conflict in them. Political debates are a bad idea in game discords. Don't do them. If you play Take on Mars, Golden Treasure, Majesty, I run those three discords. If you play with me on any of the servers I host or are even interested in playing with me on any of the servers I host, I have a discord for that as well. I also admin another but I won't be listing it here.

I find it silly that you can't tell Artists that they are doing artwork for someone who was banned from the site. Its like "Hey, that guy was banned like, a year ago. Just an FYI." and then later you get warned for it. I mean ah well, I guess it counts as some form of harassment but still... I haven't bothered with it any further of course, and now that I got my warning, its not like I plan to continue or anything.

I remember many years back when you could warn people of artists who were scammers and the like but now you can't. Its actually wrong to protect the customer on FA now. If you have an artist who rips you off, you can't say jack shit about it. Now thats horribly wrong. I would get it if an artist was being targeted by fake bewares and such and that should be dealt with but if an artist legitimately was a fraud, you should be allowed to warn people about them to stop falling victim to them. All those years ago I used to see artist bewares a lot. Now none at all. I wonder how many people have been scammed because of this anti-harassment "protect the bad people" rule.

I seen a lot of changes to this site over the last 15 years I've been a part of it. I remember back when it was like, HTML 1.0. xD I made an array of script CSS that changed the theme dynamically way back for people who wanted a green FA or a purple one or a red one. Much harder to do now though. Plus the rules and such have changed a lot. Especially lately with all the hypersensitive kids these days who were coddled too much by mommy and daddy. Back in my day spankings and the like were still allowed and taught you to not be an entitled little shit that would fall apart and have a meltdown at the slightest of anything! Now days, you have to be told how special you are and everyone's required to be nice under all circumstances. :| Must protect people's feewings because they can't be controlled anymore! Its sad that we need these rules these days, to keep some kid from seeing something possibly slightly offensive because he can't handle it and will summon the Karen squad to battle the forces of "evil" (send a hundred trouble tickets till a staffer does something about it). Whats the world come to.

Literally everything seems to be getting worse as I get older. I'm 32 and I already hate everything. I see people around me getting dumber, corporations taking advantage of the stupidity and helping make people dumber, software getting worse, hardware getting worse, people becoming crazy in their ideals and beliefs. It won't be long before we have some kind of civil war, left versus right, because we have become so divided, so stupid, we can't control ourselves anymore, and corporations just sit there taking advantage of it all.

To go in line with this, a lot of the rules I've seen in the last few years go along with taking sides, banning them evil rightwingers who post anything in support of a particular ex-president. Also anyone who says anything that a leftwinger might find remotely offensive. I like being centered, but often times people see me as closer to the right than the left, because the left has become so violently stupid and extreme that I can't stand them. This site, has become very left. This is a furry site, it shouldn't be on either side of the bar. It needs to be center, give a middle finger to those fucking leftwing nutjobs who demand you ban this or that because it offends them. Tell them to fuck themselves. Ban anyone who actively supports aggression and harm but don't ban people who simply make statements that offend some little kid. Also, if you're in your 20s and you get offended super easily, you're still a kid in my book. When you grow a pair, then we'll talk. But yea, you may notice I don't participate much on FA anymore, because its become fairly left, and their rules support only those of the left thinking.

Granted, this time I was in the wrong, but, only slightly as I was just letting artists know that they were doing something for someone who I thought was permanently removed from the site. It wasn't some harassment attempt or anything, just a friendly heads up to those artists, but whatever. It still reminds me of how much the rules have shifted on the site though. How we used to be able to do bewares and the like. Boy how times change.

I was on twitter, and saw this post some dumbass posted in Georgia while running for governor, and lots of comments from furries came in there. Hilarious the amount of furry comments on that twitter post.

I came across several who posted cis-phobic memes. Nothing to do with the topic at all. This was an anti-furry post on twitter and these people come in to post stuff related to gender.

I post on that saying it has nothing to do with the current tweet. These people are of course, cis-phobes. I don't even know how to spell that because its not even a word yet. However these people, all ganged up on me, attacking me over every little thing. Calling me transphobic for this and that and those. I mispell something, transphobic. I explain that I am in support of transgendered people, oh god that set them off big time. My phone just auto corrected it to "transgendered". With an ED. I was talking you know, plural. It doesn't sound wrong to me. It wasn't even ever offensive before recently. These people are plain and simple, cisphobes. They want to be angry, they want to flip out over any little thing. They are looking for reasons to be upset.

I apologized in the end and tried to get out of the topic. I mentioned I have aspergers and see things differently. Oh god, that set them off again, they started calling me Nazi and shit. Claiming that because I refuse to diagnose myself with Autism, and that I will keep calling it Aspergers as I was originally diagnosed by a PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR.... THREE DOCTORS..... That I'm deliberately using a word that Nazies made to hurt people with and bullshit like that. This was all said by people who SELF DIAGNOSED themselves with autism.

If you self diagnose yourself with anything, you are a faker. You have no right to criticize anyone. I had to go through hell to get my diagnosis. I spent 5 long years going to doctors back and forth over and over to get my proper medical diagnosis. About a month ago, I had been suspended for a duration of time for actions I took against the interest of the site. I will not go into details, however during that initial impact of the ban I was confused and angry, spouting off things left and right. My ban was lifted, obviously, and I can resume here now. However, if you have replied to something of mine in the last month, I will have no notifications of it. All notifications during a suspension, are paused. I have no new notifications of submission uploads either, so I have missed a month of stuff and won't be able to catch up on them either.

I recently had someone with a very child-like character start watching me, then commenting on my stuff, and then even started following me on other platforms too. That was the last straw, I didn't like what I saw, I tried to let it pass, but following me around on other places too?

I've had many unpleasant experiences with people in this fandom who like cub art, or even draw lots of it. I know not every cub on the site is a pedophile, but a disturbingly high volume are. There's even a guy on this site right now who wants pedophiling to be legalized so he can legally fondle children, and even worse, he castrates his victims in real life so that they never reach maturity. There's nothing I can do to get him banned, because he hasn't said any of this on site. There's no way to prove it, so furaffinity can do nothing about it.

I in fact know of another pedophile, a self admitted pedophile, who goes to furry conventions and we can't get him banned from them either. His twitter account was banned 4 times for posting pictures of children under the age of 10 that aren't his. Even babies. Good god. A self admitted pedophile posting pictures of other people's children in his own sexualized twitter account. He lures kids in with his pedo dragon who tells children not to tell their parents. Horrible horrible stuff. I actually liked his animation style and artwork style at first till I saw what his site said when asking if you are an adult. Then I found out he's a self admitted pedo and I realized why his dragon behaves the way it does, its a grooming technique to trick children and train them into it.

If it were up to me, I'd gladly have these people locked up or sent to electroshock. They need a special kind of help. They also need to be permanently banned from any location that has children in it.

So, I know a lot of people here have been worried about what it means to now have paypal reporting everything above $600 in a year to the IRS. Well, this was set in motion years ago, and it took a long time to get the paperwork done. So you can stop blaming Biden. He has NOTHING to do with it. This was started because the previous amount was $20,000, and people would under report, or not report at all, and even claim unemployment while making money.

So, what does this new system mean for all of you artists? Well, I gave my mother a call, as she is an accountant, or was, and works within the government's system a bit for her job (I can't be specific) and handles this sort of stuff often so she has a lot of the better information. I tried to ask questions that you artists might have for this, but I don't have all the questions you might have. Self Employed Tax:
A self employed person has to pay their half of their social security and FICA taxes. Normally if you work for someone else, they pay half and then half comes out of your paycheck, out of your part of the paycheck. So self employed people, have to pay both the employee and employer share.

When you do your taxes at the end of the year, there's a Schedule C form that you fill out, and if you don't make much then you don't reach the threshold to actually pay those taxes. It just means tracking a lot of your expenses and things, so that when you do your taxes, the more of your expenses you're allowed to claim, the less your taxable income will be and the lower your tax amount you'll have to pay.

Working & Self Employed?
You still have to do the Schedule C, and pay your taxes based on that. It may not affect you, it just depends on how much you're making.

What are in the taxes?
Your taxes from working a normal job are a combination of state, federal, FICA, and social security. From what I understand, the average tax rate from a normal job for most people is about 25%. If self employed tax is 15% (half of that is social security, half of that is FICA), and then your other tax being the state and federal taxes, possibly being 12% at the poverty line (Unsure if thats the lowest), that comes out to 27%. A 2% difference, simply because you have to pay your entire FICA and Social Security tax yourself. (If I understood this right.)

The taxes change every year, so the numbers will be slightly different every time. For example, this year the FICA tax is 7.65% (Also not entirely sure).

This is all taxed after your expenses.

Tracking your expenses:
You must keep a receipt of every expense related to your work. Maticulously track and keep every proof. If you don't have proof, you cannot count it as an expense. I'm not sure what this means for the dedicated room of a house portion that I list in the below list. I'll find that out a bit later. You'll have to have a travel log to justify the expenses of why you traveled and where to show it was work related too. Honestly this one might be hard for most people to keep track of, so I don't expect a lot of you will be tracking your gas costs driving somewhere. But, if you do, you'll need to carefully track it and get receipts for your gas when you fuel up. Its very easy to knock down how much you really make, by showing every expense that you can but you absolutely must track these expenses and have proof.

What is an expense?
Gas spent driving to collect art supplies.
Physical art supplies.
Shipping expenses.
Fees from paypal to process the transactions. (Maybe)
Online advertising.
Dedicated work room in your house.
- This means if you built a studio in your house, a room dedicated to artwork, you can deduct that square footage expenses.
-- E.G. 20% of your electricity. 20% of your heating costs because this is upkeep of your "business area".

Successful Artist?
Are you making a decent amount doing your art? You should find an accountant to pay for advice, and to help you with your taxes at least once so that you can learn more tricks to help you in whats tax deductible and not. Of course, if you talk to them about it, its a consultation fee. If they do any work for you, they tack on additional fees. So if you go to an accountant, ask what they charge to give advice, ask what else they charge for doing anything else. Don't just let them start doing stuff then find out you have a large bill afterwords.

Doing your taxes.
There are plenty of services out there that will let you do taxes and help you with them. Some of them expensive, some of them even completely and entirely free for life. Credit Karma for example has a way to do taxes, for free. Some of these services also let you get your tax refund even faster by charging you another fee, however don't be silly, just wait 2 weeks extra to get your full tax refund.

If you try and use something like HR Block or anything to do your taxes, they advertise low fees, but then every time you have to add a new schedule or something, they tack on an additional fee, so these places rack up lots of fees while you do your taxes and you end up paying a lot. Self Employment has a lot more forms to fill out, and these services like HR Block will be charging you a lot for that, you'll end up paying hundreds of dollars for these services.

Porn or Art?
The difference between porn and art is in the eye of the beholder. Technically speaking, since you're doing artwork, drawing, rendering, whatever, it should absolutely be considered artwork. Now, you can't wank off on camera and call that artwork. I doubt the IRS will accept that.

Income Level?
A single person household would be about $12k/y for the poverty line.
A two person household would be about $18k/y for the poverty line.
These are just speculations though, we didn't actually look this particular information up during the call so this is just some very rough examples. If you want me to fix these values, please help me look up the information and reference the sources! Preferably from .gov websites like the IRS one.

Benefits of filing taxes regardless of income level?

If you pay someone to draw something for you, then you upload it to your profile, it should be yours to keep, regardless of what the artists say.

However, I heard only recently from a friend, that an artist asked the admins of FA to delete art from this friend's gallery, and they agreed to do so. Purging this art from my friend's gallery without even so much as asking him or anything. He lost the originals to the art, and the artist doesn't have the originals either or won't give them.

The artist should be on the artist beware list, for this simple fact. I've told my friend to file an artist beware against them, because of this. You don't get to suddenly decide that you should be allowed to purge everything you've ever drawn from someone else's gallery, when you were paid to do that content. Its not like an artist could be paid to draw something for you, then ask police to walk into your home when you're not there to take it from you and burn it to ash... Right? If you pay for something, its yours to do with what you want.

I recently made a comment on a journal, and my own journal, however I do have some controversial views and due to the site's potential for over-reacting, I've decided to go ahead and delete my previous journal to prevent a flock of leftwing furs and their cancel culture from "canceling" me over having my own ability to think.

Many leftists have echo chambers that make them feel good. I enjoy shouting different things into their echo chambers, it pisses them off. Echo chambers are very bad, because they think they speak for everyone if too many echos reach them. I literally had a furry tell me that because 12 people on furaffinity disagree with me, that all 3 million people in the entire USA thats part of their minority, disagree with me. Thats what an echo chamber does to you.

In any case, I won't go into detail, but yea. I have no problem with trans-gendered people. I believe in equal treatment, which means I treat you the same way I do everyone else. I can equally be an asshole to a gay POC trans, as I can be to a cis white male. Your circumstances do not make you immune to me being an asshole to you. :)

So, many people believe systemic racism exists. It may be true, and we should do something to dissolve it where it exists. However, what we have today, is the introduction of systemic racism. We're developing it right now. Forcing schools to teach everyone that white privilege exists, and that whites are to blame for everything. We're starting to attack white people for being white, blaming them for things that happened hundreds of years ago. Columbus Day for example, a man who lived 500 years ago, and now people here are blaming current day white men based on the fact that Columbus was racist I guess? Funny thing is, Columbus didn't discover America, and in fact never set foot in America. So I dunno why people are blaming American white men for everything he did but whatever.

Their skin color has nothing to do with them being a bad person. I don't hold a grudge against the rest of their race because of what these individuals did to me.

Somehow, every time I get poison ivy lately, its in my left eye, on the back of my finger on my left hand, and on my testicles. I didn't even touch the poison ivy, I saw it on a tree I was near and avoided touching it while chainsawing down other nearby trees. Strange because I didn't think you could be so allergic to an oil that you break out from seeing it. I believe that you should be an adult, before you can start the procedure to transition from one gender to another. I do not believe that you can have developed enough by age 13 to know whether or not you really want to change your gender and know for sure what you feel like till you have fully developed. The human brain does not finish fully developing till your mid twenties. However it is developed enough by the time you are declared an adult, to have a better idea about the permanence of what you are about to do in life but at age 13? You don't know jack shit about who you are. You're still discovering. I never knew I have a male preference till I was 17-18 years old.

On top of that. I think its unethical to allow children to go through gender reassignment against their parents will for various reasons. Do you really think that a hard core christian family will welcome their child home after he violates their wishes by committing what they call a sin, and starting the process to change their gender? No, they are going to torment that child till they kill themselves. They will tell that child how they will burn in hell for all eternity. Maybe even kick that child out onto the streets. However, I feel that this gender changing thing in a hard core family like that is going to be very rare, because honestly, all christian families teach their children whats a sin and whats not and what will happen to them if they sin, at a very young age. As for non-christian families that have anti-trans parents, same thing. They will attack the child, torment the child, or simply kick them out onto the streets. Degrade them to the point of suicide or whatever. You can't force parents to love their child no matter what, and by letting children do things without the consent of the parent, you're putting a bigger rift on things. Ever heard the saying, a mother knows best? Its often true, but also often ignored.

I did however, agree that it was wrong to ban transgendered people from playing on sports teams, except in cases where it was a gender specific sport and the transgendered person had an unfair advantage. AKA, a transfemale who had male strength and stamina far superior to all the other females on the team or opposing team. Not that I think that would happen often at all, due to the fact that the transgender process is pretty tough to go through and weakens the body in either case. But pre-op people who just started therapy and such, would have a pretty unfair advantage. But thats the only case in which, I would agree in not letting someone play on a sports team. I imagine everyone will attack this point as well but thats just how extreme leftists behave anyway. Attack what they don't like, ignore what they do.

The journal mentioned anti-trans bills which is why I had commented a lot on this territory, and it turns out that one of the anti-trans bills, was to stop children from getting gender change therapy without parental consent and thats why people attacked me, because I like that bill. As explained above to my reasons why. However I did find the bills for banning transgenders from playing sports, wrong. Conveniently ignored however so that people could call me a transphobe or simply insult and attack instead.

I may be wrong on some points, but there was no point in arguing that fact on the journal as it only became a place for people to attack me for not being as leftist as they were, so instead of admitting where I may be wrong at, I decided to stop participating. I run 5+ discord servers (some may be private), and admin several others. I figure I'll list them all here along with some backstory here below.

My primary server is for furries, it was my first server, made many years back. I joined the fandom when I was 17 years old, because I was alone, bullied by everyone in school, treated like scum. Physically, mentally, and chemically abused by everyone I knew throughout my childhood causing life long pain and partial brain damage (short version). The furry fandom offered a place where I could have friends, and being different was no problem. I met great people in the fandom. While there are still trolls and generally shitty people in the fandom, it wasn't often, or that bad.

Then, a few years back the massive feminism wave struck with a vengeance, and some point later FA took its first step into forcing its political views on everyone by threatening to ban people over the smallest infractions like "misgendering". Banning any sort of word that could be considered sexist, or transphobic. Even from people who called themselves "tranny" because its transphobic or sexist to call yourself tranny? What? That was the first step FA took though, into stepping into leftwing web hosting and sparked a future of intolerance on the site.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want people to be attacked over their genders. But people get offended too easily, and you shouldn't be banning people over things because some little kid or immature adult got offended over the slightest thing. Tell them to suck it up and grow some adult hair.

A little later, a black man was killed by a cop. BLM movements started. Then anarchists pretending to be part of BLM started terrorist activities burning neighborhoods down and attacking things. People sympathized with BLM claiming that it was alright for them to burn down people's livelihoods because it was part of their plee for fair and just treatment. FA decided to become even more leftist again, jumping on the opportunity to further increase intolerance on the site by threatening to ban anyone who doesn't support BLM in its entirety. If you so much as utter the words "all lives matter", you're a racist, and are banned. Why? Because it somehow belittles their cause to explain that, every life should matter, even if you explain that you are with them on this and want them to be treated like everyone else. It doesn't matter who's side you're on if you say the wrong word because you will be censored and banned and treated as a racist. FA has proven that they favor intolerance.

Don't get me wrong on this situation. Black lives DO matter. So do white lives. So do Asian lives. Mexican lives. Every life matters, and we should all be treated as equally human and given the same human rights as everyone else. Cops should be held more accountable, and forced to wear body cams while on duty that can not be disabled for any reason, suspending any cop who forgets to charge their body cam or disables it manually somehow or hides it. Reporting the body cam footage to a third party site that is impartial to police and can go through the evidence if a cop is accused of misconduct. Making it impossible to be a bad cop, at least for a long time.

I've also seen BLM relief funding, releasing terrorists from jail, the ones who burned down homes and incited violence. Which makes me support their movement less, because they are releasing dangerous people who've destroyed lives and possibly even taken lives or may yet take lives. Anyone who flies the ACAB logo, I try to reason with, before I ban them from my communities. One used to be a close friend of mine. She explained that all cops should die for being cops. She then went on to explain that she's an anarchist who wants civil war, and thinks it would be entertaining to watch millions die in a civil war. She's a furry. Here on this website. She lies pathologically to her psychologists, to police, to everyone she thinks may not give her what she wants. She's a sociopath. She even destroys treasured memorabilia that her mate has given her when she's angry, just to hurt him. She shows me what some of these lunatics out there are like and why its bad to fully support them blindly. People like this post on twitter regularly calling for violence or death of people they don't like and twitter doesn't ban them at all. These anarchists who only want destruction and death, are given a stage to stand on, because they fly the current flag everyone else is flying. Dangerous unstable people who could become a serious danger to anyone around them.

So Furaffinity. Would you ban someone who incites BLM violence? What if the user in question happens to be black, and they posted about how they burned down a shop that was owned by someone who was verified to be racist? Does he get banned? Or does he get away with it? Well now. That is the question isn't it. With how intolerant FA has become, I feel they will pretend they didn't see the report while simultaneously seeing every single report of anyone who says the words "all lives matter" and issuing immediate punishments. I bet I'm not even allowed to say it in quotes just to talk about it.

Anyone remember that time when furaffinity decided to ban all symbols and flags of "bad things"? Or what they call, terrorist groups. And anyone who talks about it at all. More intolerance and whitewashing.

You're not allowed to tell stories of how your great granddad was in the civil war fighting for the confederates, or show some of the historical stuff he left behind if it happens to have the "racist flag" (confederate flag). You're not allowed to portray historical events in artwork anymore because its evil! There were tons of flags used by all these different groups, the confederate flag was just the most popular. I wonder if we happened to find other flags used by the "other side", if they'd be banned too.

Lets not forget, you can't talk about that Germany thing either. Its evil. Even portraying it in art is bad! Showing the National Socialist German Workers' Party's icon in any art is an instant ban. Because its somehow bad to remember history. I bet its even bad to talk about how Hitler did some good things for his nation before he did some seriously bad things.

To me however. This new rule felt like whitewashing and intolerance furthering. It was like whitewashing the internet of all that was deemed evil.

Now, we have a post that bans people who show any support for the attack on Capitol Hill. While sure, I get it, that was a bad incident. People died. They are terrorists. But how far does this "support for the attack" go? What broad vague terms will you qualify as part of it? What if someone says that Trump didn't incite violence intentionally? Will you ban them too? What if someone just posts on FA that they support Trump? Is that the same thing as supporting the attack on Capitol Hill?

Don't get me wrong. I hate Trump, he's the worst president to ever have existed. I'm pretty sure he did incite some violence cleverly disguised as regular speech. But I won't preclude the possibility, that he is in fact just a moron who said the wrong words, and that his supporters are also morons who took his words the wrong way. My neighbor across the street thinks Trump is the second coming of jesus. She's highly racist, she is transphobic, homophobic, pretty much everything-phobic because she's the perfect Christian. The epitome of intolerance.

However, I do agree with Trump's tweet that says "Twitter is not about free speech. They are all about promoting a radical left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely." And why? Because I've seen some horrible, terrible people say awful things on Twitter in the name of BLM. Calling for violence, asking people to destroy ancient Mayan structures in the name of their cause. People who posted pictures of someone, their names, etc, and told everyone "this person is racist, get her". Those posts were in May and still haven't been banned. Why? because Twitter doesn't care about them as long as they don't promote anything rightwing.

I can't find Trump's deleted tweets. I want proof that he incited violence, but I can't find any. Its been hidden from the internet. So I don't know what to believe anymore. But again. FA has this vague new post that says they can ban anyone who supports the attack, which could mean they just won't allow anyone to support the violence. Or they could end up banning anyone they think is a trump supporter. Who knows how far FA will go, and why? Because FA has proven its self to be almost extreme leftwing, very nearly to a radical point. I can't trust FA anymore as a result.

I've lost friends over this stuff. I can't talk to anyone about my views anymore. I'm center aligned, I have views on both sides, right and left. The left get mad at me for defending a right view, the right get mad at me for defending a left view. I get into heated arguments with friends because I don't like to be dismissed or told I'm wrong. I try harder to fight for my opinion, to prove what I'm saying, to get the other to see my point of view. Often in a bad way because I'm just not good at finding or compiling information. This results in some of my closest friends whom I care for more than anything getting mad at me. Saying hurtful things. Sometimes they can't even see that the things they've said are incredibly hurtful. Just yesterday one called me delusional and she has no idea how hurtful that was. Even after I explained it. Repeatedly calling me a bad person, an evil person, a terrible crappy person. A remorseless emotionless person. All the while, I just felt like dying, like I didn't want to live anymore. Wishing that I would be struck with some disease like cancer thats fast acting and takes me out. I went to sleep without eating. I still haven't eaten. I'm barely able to sit up right now.

I have to keep my views to myself, because no one in this time period is able to be rational anymore. I have to live with the fact that I'm hated because I'm a white male who won't coddle the emotional children today. I can't stand to see what the leftwingers have done to all my favorite TV shows and movies. Everyone gets mad at me if I explain why. They call me sexist, racist, whatever, because they refuse to listen to me or understand my point of view. I might as well be dead. People these days just hate me, and there's no reason to be alive if everyone hates you. Unfortunately, suicide is impossible for me. I can only hope that some disease strikes and takes me out faster than my will to survive can act.

Thank you FA. For ruining the last place I felt at home. For helping destroy the fandom. Thank you so much, for encouraging such intolerance that the left violently attacks the center and right. Thank you for telling me that I'm worthless for standing up for what I believe. You're such a great person, admin of furaffinity. Encouraging such intolerance, dragging your political views into a furry artwork site. A site which has nothing to do with politics or social views. A site devoted to the creation of entertainment media in image or animated form hand drawn by artists who just want to draw quadrupedal beasts, has now become a political playground to shove views around and attack people for them. The last place I could feel I could get away from it all, and you ruin it. The last place I felt I could be happy at. You've succeeded at making yet another person who everyone hates, wish to die. I'll keep pushing on, because I must. But I hate life. I hate what you, and everyone else has done to life. Its a shitty world now, and I don't want to live in it. I'm tired of fighting it, because I just get treated like scum. You extreme leftists can go fuck yourselves.

I suspect this journal will be deleted, because god forbid someone speak from the heart, that would be evil and wrong. So I'll put a copy of it on Live Journal.

I mean, its obvious you want to. You keep making new rules, new journal postings about how you're taking away freedom of speech everywhere you can. Just change the EULA and all that to say "This is Furchina, free speech is evil. You will be carved up and killed if you dare speak out against any of our admins ever! Your views must be the same as ours or else!".

I just want to remind people, that I am not a trump supporter. Nor do I like what happened at capitol hill. I'm quite angry about it myself. However with FA posting a journal saying "We'll ban any trump supporter we see" (sub-textually), I had to make my statement here.

To clarify my post more.
I am speaking out against FA's cancel culture. They wish to ban anyone who doesn't align with their views. To cancel anyone who dares to have a different opinion.
They threaten to ban anyone who incites violence but that could be a broad range of things.
They threaten to ban anyone who says anything that isn't in support of BLM, including saying that every life matters because apparently thats racist now.
This cancel culture thing has to stop.
FA needs to stop bringing politics into a furry art site.

Who knows if Dragoneer is doing this, because he wants to pretend he's all hip and cool with the times with cancel culture being popular.
Or maybe he's just doing it because IMVU owns FA and is forcing him to do it.
Maybe he's doing it because he actually believes in cancel culture and punishing people for being center or rightwing.

Whatever the case, it needs to stop. FA is an art site. Not a political playground.

It looks like some people have already removed their FA accounts over this, because they are tired of seeing FA dumping its politics into the site all the time. While others are proclaiming that those of us who are tired of the politics are just bad people as if we are defending what happened at capitol hill. Funny how that works. "If you don't cheer for our side, you must be the exact opposite evil!"
