Lunch Time
General | Posted 16 years agoJust sitting here at lunch, typiing on my phone. Looking up at the curved stair me and my dad are making and having mixed thoughts of desperatly wanting to find a new job, liking the one I have, and all the different kinds of vore I could do if I was a magical creature.
Wish I was home working on porn instead.

General | Posted 16 years agoIm looking for some help and feedback on my storyboard here.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2576318
I need to iron out its details before i start animating. If anyone can offer tips, help, or show me some good flash animation tutorials i would greatly appreciate it.
Im posting the journal because it seems the storyboard isnt getting many comments so im trying to attract the attention of the journal people.

Rant - Thanks for the Watch
General | Posted 16 years agoThere is no doubt about it, this is a rant. Simply me complaining about a pet peeve. A complaint that will most likely make you utter "Get over it you egotistical bastard" and proceed with some other choice words. And while that may be the truth this is something that annoys me to no end. (This is targeted to no one, im not upset with ANYONE, this is just a pet-peeve, like people not using their turn signals anymore. Please do not get upset or take this personal. I feel that if i do not ask these questions, something will pop inside my brain. None of this journal is looking for a serious answer, and im writing this in the most asshole way i can manage while still keeping it in a light mood.)
Now, i have to know, just have to.... do any of yall actually enjoy receiving "Thanks for the Watch?" Does that comment popping up make you happy, and All the more to be thrilled to see that comment is in your shouts section from the guy you just watched 5 mins ago? Does the copy paste reply that you could get equal enjoyment from "TFTW!" just make you all giddy? (I should be typing this much faster while calling you all susan with a smug look on my face, to further imitate Dr. Cox.)
Furthermore, does it upset you when i dont "Thank you for the watch?" Are those occasional "Deleted" user icons, that pop up in my watch section, actually a guy who got pissed cuz i didnt thank him?
Now i know its very egotistical of me to find that receiving these odd comments annoys me. I know that the reason i dont like them is because they get my hopes up cuz im one of those attention/comment whoring bastards. You could even go as far to say the only reason i post stuff is for the sake of more numbers next to that letter "C" when i log into this site. And no, being able to delete the shouts later only keeps my userpage from being nothing but "thanks for the watch" and i still get tricked by the false +1 comment.
But you know what i think pisses me off about it all the more. Its my own ignorance on the issue. You see, i have no idea how much larger i have to make the bold letters at the top of my userpage, that spell out "Please dont thank me for watching you" before people will stop doing it.
Once again, targeted to no one. I wanted to rant for rants sake. If you do like being thanked for watching someone, i actually do understand why you enjoy it for the most part. But for me, when im hoping to receive comments on my work, whether praise or crit, or someone bitching at me for one reason or another, it alwaysr stings when i click on that comment in my control panel just to see that it is in my shout section from the guy i watched a bit earlier. It probably wouldn't bug me that much if they werent copy paste replies. (Might as well just say "TFTW!") But i know if they werent copy paste replies, they probably would have read my "Please dont thank me the for watch" message at the top of my page.
Love and Peace!

Guitar Hero Avatar - Void
General | Posted 16 years agoI noticed that even though a few of my journals mention that i had to stop taking avatar requests, none of them out right stated that i would no longer be doing any of the avatars from said list.
Due to my recent gifts ive been giving out, ive gotten a few of those who originally requested an avatar asking about theirs.
Im sorry, but i am not going back and completing those requests. The images ive uploaded were all personal gifts, created and given for personal reasons.
The list of users requesting an avatar is currently void as i will no longer be doing the avatars upon request, for free.
I do apologize to all those who originally placed a request for one of these avatars. Due to real life constraints, and the unexpected number of users requesting, I feel that i am unable to complete the list of requests.
Because of this, ive made all of the old requests void.
I will continue to create them for personal use, and i do have future plans to once again open up to completing these avatars for other users. This time, i will keep it much more under control with more limitations to how many i take at a time.
I will of course wait until after i finish my current $1 cmmissions. After that, i hope to start accepting commissions for these avatars. (I suspect a price tag of $5 dollars, and varying prices for any alternate avatars the users may want.)
For those of you who are still hoping to get one of these avatars for free, if/once i do open commission slots for these avatars, i will of course be doing fun things to give out free slots to users. (Most likely things like, first couple to comment on a journal, the person to make the # comment on a submission. Fun things like that, that i hope to keep a bit random.)
I was originally able to do these for free as my old job allowed me to draw at work while i wasnt on the phone. This gave me tons of free time to work and allowed me to do these avatars with no worries of loss of my own free time. However, at about the same time the list of requests was going into the low hundred, i lost that job.
Since then ive been going from job to job, working overtime and just trying to earn enough cash to pay bills.
At this time i really just cant afford to go back and do so many of these things for free. I just cant afford that time.

Birthday, Commissions, and Tablet PCs
General | Posted 16 years agoEach day is to short.... regardless of this i am excited in the fact that my commissions are coming along at a steady pace. Im very glad that im finally catching up and soon i will be done. Which is all the more exciting since i can open up to more commissions after, especially for what i hope to do.
On that note, i am hoping to finish them all up before my birthday at the beginning of august. That way, i can open myself up to some birthday commissions, hopefully getting some nice cash to afford something nice for my birthday.
Finally, on the subject of my birthday, ive been thinking about what i would like to do. If there is one thing i like about my family, its that they always like to pitch in.
One thing ive had my mind on (besides some dragon sex toys) are tablet PCs. As much as i love my netbook and tablet combo, i really would just love to have a screen to carry around that i could doodle on at any moments notice. It would be cool. The bad thing, it seems to be very hard to find good tablet pcs.
The one that caught my eye and got me interested in looking for tablets again was the new Asus Eee T91. This simple little computer would make an amazing sketch pad. Sadly, since they are not partnered with wacom, i very much doubt the power on the digitizer for this thing. However, the price is awesome.
Im also just checking craigslist for any good deals i might be able to find. Not to mention a nice saturday midnight event involving lots of electronics in my area that i can go to.
Now, would any of yall have any good ideas on good tablets? I really dont want to get a cintiq because it doesnt really help when im still tethered to the computer. Now, my netbook, bamboo tablet combo makes for a well... nice combo. Cheap, simple, and good. But its not the most portable thing since id have to set up to use it, and couldnt just whip it out and doodle.

Monitor Color Correction
General | Posted 16 years agoMy laptop and my PCs monitors' colors do not match.
I understand that no two monitors/tvs show the exact same colors. And that at times you have to correct the color of those screens.
The thing is, i have no idea which one is off, and by how much. Or, more importantly, how to correct them.
The monitor for my PC, the main one i do my coloring with, is a westinghouse 32 inch lcd tv. My laptop is an asus eee pc.
If anyone has any tips on how to correct the colors on these monitors, id greatly apreciate it.
(And example of this, while the purple color for my wings are perfect on my TV/PC monitor, they show more blue on my laptop. Im pretty sure i have the colors correct on my PC because the pictures still look good on anything else i look at the pictures on.)

Spy sappin my hard drive.
General | Posted 16 years agoAlright, so i was half aware of the new sniper update coming out next week. Even though i really haven't been playing the game, i do like to keep tabs of when its long awaited updates come out.
Sadly, unlike the last few updates, i wasnt waiting on it with bated breath, so i didn't get to participate in the spy update conspiracies that i loved on the last few updates. Well today im checking the link of the day and was pleasantly surprised by the meet the spy video linked there.
Thinking that it must have been apart of the sniper update, i spare not a moment as i rush over to the team fortress 2 blog to check on the official link to the official video. And bam, there it was, the spy update. "Spy be sappin my update," "the update is a spy," and all those fun lines i remember oh so well from the forums.
Now ive spent probably the past hour scanning the forums and reading all of the i told you so threads.
Fucking Hilarious.
And now im fucking excited. Knowing that my server was probably the most hilarious its been all weekend i desperately search for my headset, get my gaming mouse, and.... abruptly remember that all of my games were installed on my still non-functioning hard drive.
FUCKKKK
And im not about to go through the trouble of installing it on my working hard drive, especially since that will obviously mean me getting less work done, which is something i cannot do at this time.
(On a side note, i got and installed flash cs4 and photoshop cs4 and having some fun trying them out. Heh, loosing flash and photoshop when my hard drive died might not have been a bad thing.)

Hard Drive Corrupt
General | Posted 16 years agoWell now, nothing but problems for me lately. Today, when booting up my main desktop i found that my extra hard drive has become corrupt. Its annoying because it most likely is caused by something simple. A system file probably just got corrupted and now the entire hard drive is becoming fucked.
Thankfully this means that recovering the data on it will most likely be extremely simple. The bad thing about this, is that this hard drive was the largest one i had, and thus just simply recovering the data.... is going to be hard without an equally large hard drive.
Check disk doesnt work, because the computer cannot recognize the file system, so i cant simply do that.
So right now im waiting while some recovery software i got works to scan the hard drive. After that is done, i will probly start the actual recovery process. I will more than likely need to find myself a back up hard drive to store the information on, so i can actual do the data recovery.
Oh and BTW, not only was this hard drive the one i install my games and download porn to, it is also the hard drive that photoshop, flash, and any of my other art programs are installed onto.
Thankfully, my art itself generally gets saved to thumb drives and onto the desktop, but some of my older works were on that hard drive. Thankfully, i can keep working on art on my laptop... heh like ive actually been doing anything art related in a while, but overall its just annoying.
Well fuck. I dunno i just felt like complaining. If anyone has any advice, id greatly apreciate it.

Drunken Philosophy
General | Posted 16 years agoI honestly thought this was something that would be to cliched to actually witness, but there it was. This guy was the classic example of a good natures drunk. He played pool, bought us drinks, and even shared his drunken philosophy. And I have no idea what that guys name was.
Now, how I met this man isn't so happy a tale. I was spending the evening in a bar with about 30-50 of my coworkers, celebrating the full 200 of us that got fired but a few hours earlier.
I mean, I saw it coming but hoped it wouldn't. Our contract with intuit just came to an end and corporate had no reason to continue this call center, especially since they just became an international company and found cheaper employees in far off lands. Sadly since me, and the other 200 or so, worked there for less than six months, they don't have to provide us 60 day notice like all the others.
To be honest I wouldn't be upset if it wasn't for the way they handled it. They waited untill after the 15th and herded us all into one big room and pretty much just said, "don't bother to come in tomorrow."
So yah, we were all upset and decided to take it out on the bar, which sadly was not staffed to handle such a crowd. But no matter.
In the event of us cheering and cursing, we make friends with the local bar patrons. One of which being that good natured drunk.
In short, it was actually my first time to a bar, dragged there by my coworkers, and it was a pretty memorable experience.
Well, now that I'm done with stream, the sirius and the turbotax contract. I think I will try the local volt call center with the mac contract.

Overtime and Conventions
General | Posted 17 years agoBeen a bit busy as of late as ive been putting in some overtime at work. I rather like the extra pay for this job and the work is relatively easy... just time consuming. Because of the overtime, i really haven't had much time to work on comissions and it may become a weekend thing, or something ill do on specific nights.
At any rate, im still working to get the 20-21st off so i can go to the local fur con. Im really hoping to have some fun there and get to meet a lot of people. Maybe even do some marker comissions while im there.
Heck one of the main reasons im working overtime and doing these comissions lately is, not only to pay bills, but to help me save up some money so i can actually enjoy myself at the con.
Anyways, the convention im going to is Furry Fiesta...
http://www.furryfiesta.org/
BTW, if any of you might ummm feel like donating any money to me, my paypal is vashdragon[at]gmail.com I would greatly apreciate it.
As for comissions, im slowly working on them but i have about 15 left. Not to mention some would llike me to draw more than one piicture for them, and ive been slowly having some of my old comissioners popping up requesting a pic. So it may be a while before i finish all of them, and it may be a while before i open up to more comissions.

$1 Commissions
General | Posted 17 years agoIve been gone for far to long, and at this point im rather in need of money. My prior requests and commissions from so many months ago are just piled up, and i have no idea if those people still want them. So im kind of starting from scratch in the hopes of making some quick money.
So, im doing 1 dollar commissions. Tips Appreciated please.
These will be simple Pin-Ups of your char with no real background. If you want more than one char or a background for the picture i will request extra.
So if you are interested in me drawing your char here is your chance. I only ask for a dollar, but i do hope that you will be able to give more.
Prefer paypal but i will accept other payment methods.
Oh well, just send me a note, email, or just reply to this journal. And if you like, we can schedule a time and you can watch me work on your picture with gbridge's desktop share.

Painting Hard Shell Back Pack
General | Posted 17 years agoSo a long time ago, my sister got me a rather interesting back pack for my high school graduation. Which was also the first time i got a laptop. The back pack was a boblbee and was pretty much desired as a pack pack for laptops.
For a while now, i havent really used the back pack. Maybe because i didnt have a laptop, and maybe because it was just a bit to flashy. Well, ive gotten myself a new laptop recently, and thus my boblbee is looking all the more attractive.
However, im not very fond of the color, and you cant exactly BUY new shells. So im going to paint it. Ive been reading a couple of guides on how to do this, and im pretty satisfied on the idea that i can. Any tips on this process would be apreciated though.
Now i just need to make a choice.... what color should i make it. Now, sadly, i cannot change the color of the cloth. or at least i dont know of a way to do it. So the cushion against my back, and the straps that go over my shoulder will remain black.
In a perfect world id like tto have my shell green, the cloth/cushion to be brown, and some small parts of the bag purple. however, thats a huge hassle, and im unsure of how to do it.
So, to keep it simple, ill probly just stick witth one solid color for the shell. i can either do it in my chars green, or my chars purple. Im kinda thinking purple because thats where my feathers and wings are anyways. But that color might be to flamboyant. So i could go with green.
In short.... What are your ideas. What should i color my back pack.
If your wondering what back pack im talking about, just go here to see it being sold on amazon. These fuckers are way overpriced so dont bother looking at the price.

Problems In Warhammer
General | Posted 17 years agoAlright so this is just a rant. I encourage people to skip over it. If i dont actually say it out loud, i will repeatedly say it in my head. NOw this isnt a problem with the game. Its a problem with the players. The only problem ive had with the game are some of the glitches which they seem to be busting their asses about fixing.
Now, before i discuss the problems, let me define the actual effect of these problems. Simply, there are not enough good players at my lvl. This is being caused by several things. All of which are annoying. And just about every one feels like its originally caused by WoW.
First of all, let me say the first problem, and the first problem is WoW. It feels like the majority of these players where playing WoW not but the day before they got this game. Hell, probly an hour before they logged into it. This is causing major problems for the actual player population as way to many people are playing this like they would WoW.
I mean, i can look past the constant reference back to WoW while interacting with other players, but it starts to become a major problem when you have to sit there for 5 minutes explaining to them how to play this game. Most of this comes from the new features of this game, and players lack of understanding of these new features. Hell, even i suffer from this problem. Im so used to other MMORPGs, that aspects of this one almost come off as completely foreign.
Which comes up to the next problem. Public Quests. Now public quests are awesome, i mean that in every sense of the word. The problem is the players who do them. It has become a common and growing trend that players will farm the first PQ they come into contact with in a chapter until they reach elite influence, and then ignore the others. There is also the fact that many dont understand the difficulty system for PQs. When entering a PQ, and even i didnt discover this till like yesterday, the PQs name can be colored 3 different ways. Green is easy, Yellow is normal, and Red is hard. I cannot tell you how many times me and a group have attempted a red one, only to have the group whipe and everyone complain about how the game doesnt say whether the PQ will be difficult or not. Well guess what, it does. XP
Which only leads to more of a problem since the majority of the players doing these PQs are just skipping so much content that when they go up a chapter, they are neither the lvl, nor have the equipment to actually do the higher chapters PQs.
Which comes up to the next problem. People are in such a rush, they dont even bother with anything. They dont bother to read quest details, which is such a let down since every single quest is apart of the story. Its not just some random guy asking for something to be done for them, it actually has some weight to the background and lore. But people just skip it and just click accept. Which is also a problem for PQs since most people just want to farm them for influence. And this overall causes a huge problem. The maj of PQs farmed, have tons of players at them. This causes players to receive Influence faster than they receive Exp. There is also the fact that a lot of players skip the PvP element. And since all they are doing is farming Quests, they never have the items and experience they need to continue forward. And thus, when they are out of quests, and find themselves in a chapter they shouldnt be in, all they can do is suck and be dragged along by the higher lvl players.
Which in turn leads to the final problem. People are rerolling like crazy. But this is to be expected for a new game. I mean, everyone is trying to get their bearings, but its just rediculous when you cant find anyone in your lvl range anymore. Well they arent all gone, but there tend to not be enough competent players to get a hard PQ done anymore. You have to bark orders like mad to relatively dimwitted players to get a hard PQ done. But overall you have a problem in the fact that these people all think they are playing WoW. They expect their class, with the right stats, to just plow through a single enemy. Which is a problem since combat is rather slow in this game, and does not really support 1v1 very well. So you just cant do that.
Which in turn causes a lot of Flavor of the Day rerolls. These are people who got owned in some form of pvp by another class, repeatedly, and rerolled to play them. One of the first ones was healers. For any of you that may remember reading any of my past journals, you will hear my praises for a healers strength in low lvls. Well this is because of the reduced stats. DPS classes just cant do the damage yet to fully kill a light armor class yet. And healers for the most part, can heal through a lot of damage. And so, you see a ton of players all playing crappy healers. These are healers that dont heal others, and only heal themselves while focusing on doing damage. They think that by doing this, they can survive anything, and kill anyone. Which just doesnt work as you get into the higher lvl of PvP. And now, at lvl 12-21, DPS classes are tearing through these weak ass healers. (Think of paladins that start off wearing plate armor, and then move to cloth. And i mean this in terms of paladins from WoW. A class that was specifically known for its lack of healing team mates in favor if healing themselves so they could last longer and do more damage. Now, imagine that paladin getting to a higher lvl and forced to wear cloth armor instead of plate armor. Yah, it is just like that. Although, healers in this game, still have very good survivability due to their heals, so i doubt i will stop seeing that, any time soon.)
Which in turn, is causing a lot of players to create DPS classes. Im serious they come in waves like this. Its like a cycle or something. And due to a tank's lack of killling power in pvp, a lot of people are tossing their tank to the side, and rolling DPS. Which sucks for us healers as healing DPS sucks, but healing a tank is easy. And yes, tank does have a roll in PvP, a rather good roll to. But because they arent the ones hitting the high damage mark, people would rather not play them.
Im hoping, that as the game progresses, this will balance out and we will have a balance of the class types. Untill then, im going to have to suffer the fate of crappy players, with crappy gear, who are to low of a lvl.... and yet still somehow kick orders ass. OMG, i would not want to play order on my server right now. I bet our order population has gone to shit.
Oh well. Not like anyones going to read this. I only know of like 5-8 people who play this game.
Im hoping that in time people will actually PLAY this game, rather than farm it. (Not play as in buy, i mean play as in play instead of farm.) I swear, i get more of the feeling that people are just creating an alt for their WoW account, rather than playing warhammer. I bet they are getting their moneys worth by skipping all the content so they can, badly, lvl up their flavor of the moment char to the point they realize its not as awesome as they think, and then reroll.
In the meantime. Im enjoying this shaman. I like healing for the first time in an MMORPG, even if it can be difficult at times. And im probably over exaggerating a lot of this nonsense, but i just wanted to get it off my chest. Ive been grouping with some rather crappy players lately.
OMG and the gold spam, they keep banning them and they just keep coming. For gods sake people, stop buying gold.

Warhammer Online Furs
General | Posted 17 years agoOk so its not the most catchy name in the world, so sue me. But WoF is a nice steam group for furs who play warhammer. I like steam due to its ability to have groups, and the ability to chat in game through the steam client. As far as i can tell, it causes no real slow down.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Wa.....mmerOnlineFurs
Go there, sign up if you like. As the description says there is no one server or one guild. THis is just meant to be a cross platform for furs to gather on.
My plan is to pick a fur from each server, that furs populate, and make him an officer of the group. He can then add announcements, plan events, and overall coordinate with the furs on his server.
This is just meant to be fun. Im not sure how broad this group will become, but for now its small. I still need to work out a proper icon for the group. For now im just using a standard Warhammer symbol, but later i plan to use something more elaborate of mine or someone elses creation.
Hope to see you guys in game. ^^

Drakwald Guild The Cold Ones
General | Posted 17 years agoMade a guid for destruction on Drakwald. Im on the fence about making it a furry guild, but i named the guild after the rather nice looking lizards in the game. Seeing as you can form alliances with other guilds, i see no real encouragement to make my own guild huge.
Warhammer Servers Im On
General | Posted 17 years agoShortening it down just in case people are skipping over the journals. XD
Drakwald - Destruction - Vash - Shaman
Marienburg - Order - Vash - Engie
I mostly play on Drakwald right now as i cant really stand Order players anymore. Specifically, that they never heal their team mates. And i personally, do not want to play a healer for the order. So feel free to join me on Drakwald, id be glad to throw a heal your way.
(At first i was writing a long and drawn out journal about why pvp actually works in this game, but i accidently hit ctrl+w when i meant to hit shift+w, and it closed the window so.... yah. Ive had a lot of people tell me theyd never play this game because of the pvp. As a short recap of that journal, the things that suck about mmorpgs and pvp are ganking, twinking, stat padding, spawn camping, and game mechanics.
You cannot be ganked in warhammer as you are not flagged 24/7 unless you are in a pvp zone which you dont have to enter. If you are a low lvl when you enter that zone, the zone gives you a buff to increase your stats to the min lvl of that zone. If anyone from a higher tier tries to attack you in that zone (4 lvls higher than the min lvl) they turn into a chicken and are easily killed. So no you wont be ganked.
Twinking doesnt work to good in this game as you cannot be a one man fighting machine in pvp. You will get owned, as this game is highly focused on group combat. Even the paper armor classes can stand against dps classes in the lower lvls, no matter what their stats are.
Stat padding can exist, but not like yould hope. You cant just shove in the stam and live the entire fight. Due to the game mechanics of this game, you have to focus more on your dps and hps. And there are plenty of classes that counter your dps and hps.
You cannot spawn camp as you rez back in town, and you cannot attack a town as they are guarded by insta kill npcs. This game is not about raiding low lvl towns, or attacking NPC towns in general. its about contestable zones and control points, you can fight there. Also when you rez, you rez unflagged, and you have to flag yourself again.
And finally, game mechanics. The game mechanics for this game are awesome. For starters, there is very little focus on auto attack in this game. It is basically a DoT you will never really notice. What is the focus in this game are you abilities. Abilities cost Action points. There is no mana, there is no rage, everyone has Action points, and these points fill back up in the blink of an eye. This is now very easy for them to balance out the classes as you just have to compare dps and action point managment. The only class that takes serious advantage to this are the healers, but that doesnt make them overpowered since they either have to choose to spend those Action points on healing or damage. You can do both, but it will suck compared to other classes.
On that note, there is NO downtime in this game. You dont have to stop and eat food and water. You just have to stand there for like 5 seconds while you refill. IF your in combat however, only the action points refill, not your health.
And i just made the journal long again. Oh well i dont care. Feel free to discuss. If there is anything else about pvp you dont like give me the heads up. The problem with most MMORPGs is that they were designed for PvE first, and PvP second. This game is the other way around. They made the PvP first, and the RPG second. For those of you waiting on a trial to truly test out what im talking about, i hope they add it soon.
Oh and one final thing. Superior numbers does matter in this game. If you are even outnumbered by one or two, they will own you. (Depending on the size of the groups of course.) And if they have a healer and you dont... they will own you. And on that note, healers are super powerful in this game compared to other MMORPGs, more people should play as them.... save for shamans. There are way to many shamans running around right now.)

Playing for Destruction
General | Posted 17 years agoAlso as a heads up, i decided to make a char for the destruction side on Darkwald. I will be playing a Goblin Shaman.
Frankly, im sick of the Order. And it did not take me long to get sick of them either. Namely, they suck. This game has a lot of RvR, and a lot of the RvR has strategy. Far be it for any of them to understand that. Especially the humans.
Nothing makes me feel more useless as an engineer, than being in a group either with no healer, or healers who refuse to heal. And trust me when i say; Generally, the side of destruction has a healer. Hell, if the other side has a shaman on it your garunteed they are going to be healed.
And so, while i fire all of my abilities, widdling away at the greenies massive health and armor, all the while, none of it making any difference as healing classes just go all out on this guy, keeping him alive for god knows how long. All the while, im sitting there, the entire fight, with 1/4th of my health. Plenty of healers around me, but not a heal to be had. Finally, the greenie breaks through our tank who got little to no healing, and out pours all of there melee dpsers. Generally, im one of the only ones who survive these encounters. I pop my point blank, hit them with my DoTs, and use my snare on them while running side ways because walking backwards is slow as hell.
And do you know what they do? The order i mean? All the guys around me. They walk backwards. And finally, when the tank is on them, they turn with their keyboard. By that point its already to late, hes snared and the tank has run around him to block his path. Hes as good as dead. All of them are.
But thats enough complaining from me. I still get good exp and items from these ventures. Always nice seeing my name at the top of the board. But i just feel useless. No matter how much damage i do, no matter how many i kill. Without healing and others to back me up its just pointless.
So, to eleviate this useless feeling, im going to play a healer. But i dont like the other healers that much. My fav one is the shaman. Not to mention, i like the greenies. Even though, for backgrounds sake, id rather play for the order. As a game, id rather play for the greenskins.
Ill probly switch back and forth between my engie and my shaman. Not sure which i will play more. Ill just play them both and measure how they feel.
Once again, its Vash, playing for the Order on Marienburg as a dwarf engie. And its Vash, playing for Destruction on Darkwald as a goblin shaman. Feel free to join me on either. And if you would like to chat with me in game, without joining the server, i am on steam. My account is either VashDragon or Vash Dragon. I can never really tell with steam as nicknames are allowed spaces, but i forget if account names are allowed them to.
But enough with my complaining. Always garunteed the side with the humans and elves, or "The Good Guys" always winds up having the crappy players. (This is personified when a lot of the humans i see in the newb town all have crappy names. Such as, i met one of those fire mages, and his name was "Burningcroch." And yes, he did spell it wrong like that, and im guessing, its because "BurningCrotch" was already taken.) Actually, both sides have humans and elves.... I guess good players just like people with funny colored skin. XD
Im actually liking the Greenskins though. And the only reason i didnt play a squid herder was because i felt i might get that same useless feeling i get from the engie, and the shaman feels a lot like the medic from TF2 in which he gradually increases in power as he does his job.

OMFG Best Game Ever
General | Posted 17 years agoOk perhaps a bit of an over exageration right there... but damn this game is actually fun as mother fucking hell.
Now spore... was a disappointment. It was an editor with mediocre mini games.... sort of.
Well it was better than that, but its not the time killer i was hoping for. And WarHammer.... has surprised me so much with its awesomeness its unbelievable. This game is just so much fun i cant stand it. I didnt stop playing tonight untill fucking 4am. Which is probly gonna suck for tomorrow. But i dont care because i enjoyed myself.
Alright, stopping myself before i sound even more like an alcoholic leaving a bar, i am just really enjoying my experience with this game thus far. Even if everything starts to suck tomorrow, it was worth the money i paid to play it. And hopefully it wont start sucking tomorrow.
Alright let me explain why this game is awesome.
First of all, even on the carebear servers, this game encourages PvP, or Realm Vs Realm as they call it. Either server works as i garuntee fun pvp on either type of server.
Now as for the pvp. They encourage it from damn near the beginning of the game. And they have measures in place incase you find yourself a few ranks to low for the area you stumbled into. Not perfect ones, but hell, they dont want to give to much of a handicap. The first bit of pvp most will encounter are the Scenarios, which is basicaly their version of the battlegrounds. Unfortunately, im on a low pop server, so the queue times for these are quite long. Also, much like WoW, The order is unorganized and often times gets their buts handed to them by Destruction. They could do better, but often times its people with way to low of a rank, fighting against greenskins who have rather high ranks. Despite this, the actual games are rather fun and enjoyable. Unfortunately, you cannot play The Army of One way, and just own everyone with your big twinked out ass.... wait is that a bad thing. Instead, its numbers and proper coordination that wins the day.
Then there is world PvP. Now i joined a carebear server, so your not going to get ganked while walking down the street. However, at the point in the game im at right now. There is a public quest area that pits the order and destruction against each other. You have to compete to complete this little dungeon esque quest, which is just entertaining when you look exactly like the NPCs, and if your flagged, there is no real indication by your name that you are a player. So if they arent paying close enough attention to your armor/behaviour, they will often times click you. Especially if they feel like they can take you. At which point they are flagged and you can own them to all your hearts content. Which basicaly turns this Public Quest into one huge and awesome battleground between players and npcs alike.
Then there are the control points. Something i hadnt been introduced to yet. They are basically points in a PvP only area that can be controlled by either side. Whomever controls these points gets the added buff of the area. Which is basically a things are cheaper, you get more renown, etc etc kind of buff. You have no idea how much fun it is to compete for these points. To defend some points and attack others. Nothing will piss you off more than trying to take a point, which is usually just guarded by NPCs, and having a group of players show up to mow through you while your trying to deal with the points champion. As of yet i do not know the feel of said experience, but we did it several times to these group of slightly higher ranked Greenskins.
BTW, if any of you are Teafuz or whatever that name is.... i hate you. And that fucking drain health spell of yours. Your going in my grudge book. I hope you liked us hiding behind npcs while pwning you and your group. XD
.... but seriously, those greenskins would have owned us if not for our dimwitted brethren.
Anyways... Yes the game is awesome.
As for non pvp reasons this game is awesome.... there are no instances. As of yet anyways. I really hope there arent any EVER in this game. Instead, they are replaced by these fucking awesome things called Public Quests.
A public quest, is basically an entire area of the game world. In this area, there are objectives. Anyone in this area can complete these objectives, and they get progressively harder as you complete more of them. Often times these areas are broken into three stages. The first stage tends to be the longest, mostly involving you killing basic enemies. Then the second stage often has you fighting champions, aka elites. And the final stage is usually the boss which is a hero. He is a lot harder to kill and requires a lot of people. 5-6 organized ones, or... and my fav. And entire raid of unorganized dwarves all having at this one big meanie.
Whats awesome about these Public Quests, is that you dont have to join a group. You dont have to find the quests, or any of that normal, annoying shit. You just have to be there, and participate. The ones who participate the most, get bonus points for the roll of the loot at the end. Basicaly, at the end, after you defeat the boss. A magic chest appears. This chest knows all of the people who contributed, whether big or small. It then rolls for all of these people. The ones who contributed the most get a bonus to this roll to help them win. The winners, usually about 6 people, are all allowed to loot an identical, or lower lvl bag of loot from the chest. These bags all contain basically the same items, so you dont have to worry about "Chance" drops, just a chance win. In short, this allows anyone, and everyone to contribute to the quest, and gives them all equal chance to win good loot from it.
If your wondering why this is so awesome, let me explain a story of one of my encounters with a public quest.
We had recently just completed another public quest, a rather tough one with a slight glitch in it. But we had done it, and i think i got some loot... or did i loose that roll... no matter.
After everyone had gotten what they came for, some stayed to continue the fight and dow the PQ again, while others just wandered off. I was one of the ones who decided to wander. It wasnt long before i crested over a hill and stumble upon a group of four other dwarves, all having at a rather large giant.
Wasting no time, i run into range and drop down my turret and begin to open fire with my boomstick. With all of the added firepower, it wasnt long before the big behemoth went down. Shortly after, about half a dozen champion squigs appeared. We began to fight them off, i was picking at any one that i wouldnt get full aggro from, and proceeded to lay waste to their health bar.
Eventually, there were just to many of them and the adventurers around me bagan to get swarmed and died one at a time. Not wanting to loose my own life, i pop a potion, finish off two more of the buggers since it would be a waste other wise, and high tailed it out of there. It took me some time before i got far enough that they no longer chased me.
At that point, i decide to venture back to my old group, not really concerned with what might happen to the rest of those squigs, when suddenly i get a message.
It seems i placed 3rd in a roll for the loot dropped from the public quest i had stumbled into. I was estatic, ran over, grabbed my bag, and took out my preferred item. I kinda forget what i got, but it was a nice one.
Alright, so im not the best story teller, but that was fun. And thats what a game should be. I shouldnt be sitting there screaming "LFG Dwarf Engie, Blah blah blah." Then to wait as we set up the group and finaly go into a dungeon that takes hours to complete. All the while having some shrimp yell at us for not pulling the enemies the way he wants us to. Instances fucking suck, and im glad to never have to do them again.
And finally, one of my favorites, as of yet, and ive completed many of them, i have not had a quest that was annoying. Ive never had a quest that required me to walk for 15 mins and then walk back. Never had one that told me to get x item from y mob thats only dropped 1-5% of the time. The quests are extremely well done, so well done in fact that if all your doing is just accepting every quest you find, and then just doing whatever you please and doing public quests... you will most likely finish them all and be able to turn them in once you go back to town to sell the trash youve picked up. Quests hardly ever feel like a chore.
Now public quests can be a bit tedious as you have to complete the objectives, often times in a 10 min time limit, which is usually easily done, but it can be a bit annoying. But it keeps you focused and keeps you from getting bored. And receiving new loot is always fun. It also makes these PQs rather quick things to do, not requiring an entire day. However, if your like me, you will most likely do a PQ more than once.
Oh yah, and if you do PQs, you get to fill up your influence bar. This bar gives you rewards at certain vendors as you progress. Allowing you to get new items for just participating, even if you never finish the quests.
Now, thats not to say this game is perfect. At the lvl im at right now... um 8. Yes i know its low, but ive been playing this game nonstop ever since i got it. It takes a long time to lvl up, and i guarantee you wont really notice. But there are some draw backs with balance.
One of them are the healing classes. At the lvl im at right now, a healer is practically unstoppable. Since the game works on a sort of action point system, like rogues from WoW, you never actually run out of mana to casts spells. This makes healers practicaly unstoppable. Not only do they make just about every other class impossible to kill, they themselves are practically tanks of their own. Killing one is damn near impossible unless you use some tactic like nocking them into NPCs, or just having an entire group gang up on them. They are extremely powerful, to the point of overshadowing any of the other enemies on the field.
Then again, i guess thats how they should feel. People shouldnt think of healers as passive support classes. Healers in this game make you/the enemy unstoppable. They should always be one of the first targets. If you are active in pvp, you will quickly learn to fear a good healer.
In all, the game is awesome. I have yet to have anything that has made me feel this game was not worth buying. I have enjoyed my time playing this game, and feel i will be playing it a lot in the future.
So if your still on the fence about getting the game... its awesome. The only other real draw back is the overall lack of real crafting skills, but the ones they do have work rather well. Its not perfect by any means, but it works. So if crafting is your big thing, then you might not like the lack of options. However, i find it very likely they will be adding more crafting skills to the game. There are just so many opportunities for it. They are probly just a bit worried about balance and auction house issues.
Anyways, i hope i didnt bore any of you. If you took the time to read this then well... heres a cookie. I hope to see more of you playing this game soon. ^^ It would be nice if they started offering a trial for the game so that more people could give it a test run.
