VaXen is here yet again with some news

So, I got a job at the church where my grandmother goes to. So far its going well, I mostly do tech work. And for me to get paid every Sunday AND work on a Sunday...its pretty sweet!

Now in terms of artwork, still working on it. Been getting better in terms of quality and anatomy, that's always a plus. To work I owe, don't worry I haven forgotten about them. >w<

My little bro just turned 10, so he's moving on up.

And, that's pretty much it. Not much, but things are definitely moving forward.

Hello feelers, VaXen Piranha here and I’ve got a BIG Upadate for y’all!

Graduation

That’s right folks, this hard working Piranha Plant has made it through all 4 years of College. After soooooo long of overnight homework, setbacks, miracles and Moutain Dew...I have obtained my Batchelor of Arts Degree. I really had my moments where I could have thought I would’ve failed. But I kept hanging in there due to the studying, love and support that I have gotten from my family and friends. I can not thank y’all enough for helping me get through these years in college. It really made them enjoyable with all the laughs, images and just having a great time talking to each other. My colleagues and professors were kinda sad to see me go, but I’m sure we’ll cross paths again. As of now, the next chapter of my life begins.

Life as of Now

Y’all probably wondering what’s going on now. Right now, I’m just resting for the time being. Got all my stuff settled in a room with my parents, and I pretty much have my own space. Currently, I’m job hunting so I hope that goes well. But that’s pretty much it. Well that and, my Birthday is very soon...June 5th! So this plant will be celebrating with his fam for being 22. Woot!

Information on the Art

Now I know some people are still waiting on their Commissions, Raffle Wins and Requests. I would like to take this moment to sincerely apologize for the very lateness of it. College around during the springtime was the period of me studying for the exams, Senior Exhibition and 12 page papers...it was completely hectic! But I promise that I’ll get them done as soon as I can. Recently, there was a small situation of my pen not working for the last few weeks. I discovered it was dead, so now I can finally get a new one this week...so that’s good news. So during the downtime, I was able to at leech sketch on my sketchbook and talk with my buds. And all of that gave me ideas of future submissions and comics later down the road. So don’t worry folks, I’m not slacking off on purpose...I’ll be back at it soon!

Oh yeah, this! Well, the winners of the contest are Yoshi and Leatherhead by a close tie. And the areas will be Yoshi’s Island and Japan. So woot, we might see some extra stuff going on in the background. I’m getting more diverse in my options and settings so it should be fun. Thank y’all for participating!

Second Year of FA

Today, it is now been 2 years of me being on FA. And man, it has been quite a ride with y’all for these 2 years. So far, I’m close to 300 watchers and I’m over 10,000 page views. I can’t thank y’all enough for helping me this far...but sometimes...it’s not about the numbers. It’s about the growth that you go through and the memories that you share with others on here. And time goes on, and make friends and family with them in real life...it’s just us. So I hope to continue that and you guys keep on being with me. You guys are really something else.

Future Plans

Well now, other than Comics and Images...I’m making my own species. That’s right folks, an original species that I have in mind. I’m still making characters and the Lor and such, so when I have information...I’ll be in touch.

Hello my buds, it's VaXen Piranha again. I have a great announcement to tell all of you, but first an update.

In about four weeks, this plant will be a college graduate! I can hardly believe it myself, 4 years have gone by...and it feels like I've only started. Over the years I have learned to take care of myself, open myself to others, learning to think critically and how on being able to pace yourself. This senior year has been a bumpy one, and I'm still going. So I have to be doing something right, right? Anyway, my senior show is coming up and so is exams. So to those who are waiting on commissions and raffle images...please wait a bit longer. I promise I haven't been ignoring them and been doing some progress that I can. During this summer, my FA profile will be getting a massive overhaul so I can professionally set myself properly. Now that should be fun! X3

That's right, I've achieved 10,000 page views recently! I can't thank y'all enough for helping me get this far n under 2 years of actually being on FA. When I started firstly on FA, I was outright nervous because I felt like I did have no direction on where to go with it yet. But as soon as I had something, I started to go from there. I've made many friends along the way, learned soooo much from the artists and developed my own identity on this site. All of the art I've made, the art I've received, the RPs and good times that I've had...it was all because of you guys and myself. Again, I cant thank y'all enough for sticking with this piranha plant so far and continue too...*sniff* :')

So, as a thank you for all of you for 10,000...I will be doing...a contest.

Here's the rules, I'll be posting later Lists. List A and List B for the characters, then List C and List D for the locations. The characters who has the most votes from the lists A and B will be part of a two parter image bundle for the chosen locations from C and D. Example: Charizard and Gatomon in Pokemon Center/Gatomon and Charizard in Bowser's Castle. See what I mean? This contest will last to the end of April and I'll be counting up the votes. Hello my fellow friends and viewers, this is Vaxen Piranha again. It's been a while since I've last spoken in the journals. So I guess I'll give the rundown of what is happening as of now.

Right now, I'm finishing my senior semester in college. That's right, in the next few months...this plant will be a college graduate! SQUEEEEE! X3

This plant is also doing a senior exhibition and internship, so it's all really much of a handful. But I'm confidant I'll be okay.

Now in terms of artwork, y'all know the drill. It will be slow before I can post more, but y'all just hang in there. That also goes for those people I am test commissioning and raffle winners. Just wait for a tad longer, I'm working on it.

I'm also getting into shape more, this plant must keep his figure and body in check in order to live life to the fullest. Also, I just love to be able do what I can, so I have to keep it up.

In terms of future content, that will be discussed at a later date. But I will say I'll be more ambitious this year. What that could mean, y'all just have to wait and see. This plant has his secrets!

Man, time sure fly doesn't it? ^^;

Okay, first thing is life situation. As Summer for me was over two weeks ago, I'm back here at college for one last time. That's right, Student of Class of 2018 right here. I can't believe that already 3 years of college have flown by. Honestly, I'm kind of scared at the same time. After all things are done, either I'll be looking for a Job or going to University. I'm not sure as of yet, but I will be working hard to achieve what I dreamed of, becoming one of the master artists in the world. So back to situation, my classes are somewhat taxing. But I'm getting the hang of them, and will continuing to do so.

Alright, now the art. As y'all may be aware that I usually post something once a month. Well that soon may change depending if I'm not too busy. I want to show my peeps and new people who have yet to see my art that I'm more productive than I'm looking to be. Not to say it's not 10 per month, but I'll try to output more than just 1 piece per month. I'm not going to get better by just procrastinating on art, but we'll just have to wait and see. My technique is getting better and experimental. I want to try new ways to make the art more unique and clean. So I hope y'all looking forward to that. ^^

Next, updating my profile. I haven't done much of remodeling since the year I've been here. Well now I have the time to do so. That being said I know what y'all are thinking. No, not yet...but soon. The comics, real commissions, and small suggestions. I promise, not now but in the future that will happen. Just bare with me.^^;

Finally, I have some good news. Over the summer, I recently passed over 200 watcher here on FA. Seriously, I wasn't expecting to get all of this rather fast being only a year of doing stuff here. All I can say is thanks for supporting me. Without y'all, I wouldn't be able to get to where I am now. Some of you know of my recent problems, yet y'all stuck by me to help me feel better. It really gets you in the feels, knowing that your followers, friends and family have faith in your abilities. Thank you guys so much. So to celebrate passing 200+ watchers...I will be doing a raffle. Yes, a good one~

This raffle will go on until next Friday. And these are the rules:

Okay, so I thought about this carefully. I've heard stories of people not holding up their end of the bargain in commissions. Because all they want is free art. Also, I feel like my work is not at that professional level yet. I want to work on that more so that I feel that I can do the work as best as I can.

So here is the situation: Some of my friends has asked me for commissions, and I have actually agreed to make them because I can trust them. So after that I will take a few months off from them to work on other things and improve my craft. College is right around the corner and I need to get ready for going back for my last year.

As for comics, I decided to postpone that till next year. I may do some concepts and new and returning characters, but that's the extent of it.

It has been a year since I've joined this community of Furries. I must say it was a lot more since I expected. I've been looking on this site for years and it's been a whole year being active on it. I've learned a lot from all of my watchers, comments and friends who helped me through this. I can't not thank each and every one of you enough for being with me this far.

I know I'm not as frequent as other great artists on this site. But I do try my best to make my are as good as I make it to be in my own way. I know I may not look like it, but I do love making art...I really do. So once again, thank you guys for being with me and for just being friends with me. Let's make this year just as good, if not better than my starting year. I hope to make even more friends, and just have a good time. :)

Summer is fast approaching, so here is some news~

I finally had my Surface Pro 4 ready for streaming purposes, so I may be streaming this year. Next, as for my comic series...I'm still having the ideas developed. I want to make sure everything is in check. Next, E3 is on the way...so woo. I'll be watching that along with the rest of you.

And Finally, my Birthday. On June the 5th, I will 21. And that means drinking......Ginger Ale. Lol
But seriously, I'm very excited for my birthday.

Now here is the next spect: After the next few drawings from a particular series, I'll stop on them and begin crafting the main series of comics. These will take time so please be patient.
