What I really wanted to do was bring attention to an artist that I think deserves more attention than she gets...And that artist is
mariya
At first I wasn't really sure of her...I knew she did some nice cartoony stuff and drew TaniDareal a lot, but that was about all...However, after more time watching her, I've come to realize that she does some very awesome and expressionistic artwork in a style that really is all her own! She updates regularly, and being as young as she is, I do get the feeling that she will go very far someday! ^^ So, if you feel like adding another artist to your watch list, I would highly recomend Mariya! ^^

Osama Bin Laden was killed...Can we show a little humility?
Posted 14 years agoYes, I realize that he was the terrorist leader that caused the deaths of thousands of innocent people and is one of the main reasons our troops have been staying in the middle east, risking and losing their lives...I KNOW he was super fucking evil....But does that mean we should CELEBRATE his death? Are we THAT barbaric? What happened to quietly respecting the fact that someone bad was dead and things were over? Showing enough humility to respect the fact that your side won and the other can't really object...Or at least one part of it?
What people don't seem to realize in all this celebration is they CAN fight back...We haven't necessarily WON this...There are other terrorists over there that WERE on Osama's side, and we were the ones who killed him, meaning if they go after someone it'll probably be us! We could be looking at a potential shitstorm far greater than the ones we have been facing, and people are only making it worse by celebrating this like a bunch of barbarians!

What does it really mean to be "good"?
Posted 14 years agoOne thing I have come to realize over the past few days is the fact that what is truly "good" can come in the most unexpected of places...
Now, I won't go into a lot of details on exact people on this...Mostly just for privacy sakes.
I've come across a lot of different people with a lot of different opinions...I've heard people tell me they're good while seeing proof that they're not...I've been told that "No means no" means a lot to them and then had them argue with me when I did say no, or try to go ahead and do whatever it was anyway....I've had Christians argue with me over how wrong I was/am, telling me how I need to believe what they do or I will be condemned to a miserable life and eternal hellfire ever after...In contrast, I've also had non-religious people lecture me for my beliefs and tell me I was wrong for just about EVERYTHING I did, and how I need to see reality more/nothing religious can be proven/etc...
Now...Knowing who is good or bad can be confusing...Usually I just figure you take the bad with the good...You find people with overall good morals and such, and you deal with their bad sides while enjoying the good. For a long time, I believed anybody who drank, did drugs, smoked weed, etc..couldn't be good. It was just as simple as that.
But...Well...I guess I've seen an example of someone I see as really being good...Yet to other's interpretations it might not even seem that way.
For the longest time, he refused to get too close to me...I was head over heels for him, but because he was a stoner who hangs out with the druggie crowd, he was afraid of hurting me or changing me and thought I should be with someone who was "nice like me" instead. I don't believe he has ever once told me that he's a "good guy" or that he "isn't like those other guys," yet he doesn't need to...I see it everytime I'm around him...Everytime he asks me before doing anything because he doesn't want to overstep any bounds. One thing I found to be really telling was when we got into a discussion of what we believe, as far as religion goes...He said he's not religious or anything, but for the sake of all the religious people out there, he hopes there's something like what they believe in because he doesn't want all the love and hope they've put out there towards that to go to waste...I've...Never heard an answer like that, that I know of...Usually I hear some sort of opinion one way or another...Someone telling me how God exists and how their religion is right, or how they don't believe in God and it's just kinda silly to believe in that stuff, or SOMETHING along those lines...I usually don't hear someone say they don't believe, but they hope there is for other people..o.o
After that conversation, and looking back on everything he's done for me, and everything I know about him and have seen from him....I see good in him...Real good...He doesn't really believe that of himself, but I do. And it makes me wonder at times what being truly good is really all about. O.o Though I'm amazingly happy to have found it in him.
Sooo...Yeah XD I might be making too much out of nothing in all of this...XD Uhhh...What do you guys think really makes someone good? Is it following a certain way of life? Is it never doing drugs and staying in school? Is it simply saying you're good and having an honor code to speak of? Is it being pure of heart? And just what does pure of heart mean?

1. I'm sick currently and I was JUST thinking about how great my immune system is and how I haven't been sick in a long time...
2. I grew up with my fursona being a white cat((Yes, I thought of myself as one even then)), then I changed it to wolf and different wolf things to be like my wolf spirit friend...Now I'm back to being a cat again. x3
3. I love the color purple and sparkly things.
4. I'm tired and sick and my throat hurts and I just wanna go to bed x.x
5. I have had a long and weird relationship history...Hopefully I can get that hammered out now...Or at least sometime soon.
6. There is currently someone I wanna hang out with but I don't think I can because I don't wanna get him sick too x.x
7. I graduated in the top 10% of my class in highschool and I'm currently on the Honor Roll thing at my college...Dunno how much longer I will be, though, because I dunno what my grade is in biology. *Severely dislikes those opinionated environmentalists who keep trying to force their opinions on us* x.x
8. I just got new glasses, which I should be able to pick up next week....They're really pretty with little rhinestones on the earpieces! ^^ *Loves sparkly things*
9. I really love Monster Energy drinks...Though my mom wants me to ask my doctor about ADD because they help me focus XD

So, wanna know what my stupid ass did today? XD
Posted 14 years agoYou know those moments where JUST before something bad is gonna happen, what's going through your mind is basically "FUCK I'M STUPID!!!!!"....Yeah, I had one of those today XD
So, I decided to go down past our regular beach in this area with someone I'm very close to...Due to the nature of this story, he shall remain anonymous XD...Sooo...When we get pretty far down the road, my mom calls to ask me to go pick up my dad because he'd lost his keys and needed a ride to the lock doctor place before 5...It was around 3:13, and we still had at LEAST a 15 minute drive BACK to my town, not to mention driving from town to town to get everything done, so I decided it was time to put the petal to the metal!
There isn't a speed limit on most of those back roads, though it isn't really advisable to go over 25mph...I was doing 45, at LEAST XD At one point I even said "Dude, who the hell says you CAN'T go this fast on these roads? I can and AM doing it!"....OH how I would eat those words! XD
You see, as we got back around to the public beach and hit the really sharp turn that's by it, I came to realize WHY you're not suppose to go THAT fast on really tight turns...As I tried to turn, I could feel that the momentum was too great, and if I were to keep turning, I was gonna roll my van. I also didn't think to slam on the brakes until the last possible second, so it was either go flying off the edge of the road or roll my van....So I chose to just fly off the edge!
So there went my dumb ass, over a barbed wire fence and a thick patch of reeds into a nice, lovely patch of sand! All the while, I had that feeling of dread that comes with realizing you aren't QUITE as smart as you think you are and that you aren't invincible afterall. After coming to a stop in said area, my first thought was "Oh GOD! What the hell did I just do?!"....My second thought was "Okay, I'm okay, he's okay...Can I get out of here?!"...The answer was no XD I discovered that as I spun my tires, getting them nice and deep into that soft, wet sand. Oh what a genius I was!
So the next 15 minutes or so were spent with me freaking out and panicing, said person with me figuring out what to do and telling me to clam down, and some REALLY REALLY nice strangers helping me get unstuck....For this, I felt like a jackass...Well, actually, for the whole ordeal. One, I had taken a really dumb risk by driving that fast in order to make time and I had done it with somebody I care deeply about in my car with me. Two, I had promised to help out my dad and had managed to get myself in such a mess that I couldn't do what I'd promised. Three, MY MOM WAS GONNA KILL ME....Or so I thought. Four, I was freaking out so bad I didn't get the chance to properly thank those nice people who helped me out, and I looked really stupid FOR freaking out so bad. XD Such a lovely combination, huh?
Well, after some trying, they managed to drag my car out of the mess...My car ended up smashing into the back of the guy's truck, which THANKFULLY didn't damage HIS truck...Unfortunetly for me, it broke the plastic cover on my tail light, which is now temporarily repaired with some of that transparent red tape, and gave me a nice new dent...You see, I used to look at some people's cars in the parking lot of my college that had big dings and dents and think "How the hell did they even GET that? XD"...Now I AM one of the people with an awesome new dent. x3 I so want to just go outside with a huge bandaid, put it on my car's butt and tell her I'm sorry for being so stupid and damaging her. KNOCK ON WOOD A WHOLE FUCKLOAD OF TIMES, but I am SO HAPPY I didn't do worse to her...T.T Poor Bluejay...
After that mess, said friend and I made our way back home...He noticed that my car sounded kinda funny and figured either my allignment was knocked outta whack or I got a stick stuck somewhere in there...I was HOPING it was the stick. My mom managed to get over there fast enough to be right behind me when we got back into town, so we had one of those fun "Aw hell XD" moments. When we got back to his house, I pulled all the reeds out of my license plate cover and out from under my car....And then I made a fun little discovery. You see, it wasn't a stick that was caught under my car....It was actually a section of barbed wire from the fence I ran over XD Which I dragged ALL THE WAY from the beach to his house, ON THE HIGHWAY! We got that out from under there and stuck it in the back of my car.
Thankfully after all that crap, my mom wasn't mad, knock on wood...She was actually more worried about me or him having been hurt in the mess...Though, as horrificially embarrassed as I was, I left out the part where I was going THAT fast and almost rolled my car...I don't think she would have been THAT mad, but bleh...XD My pride was already injured enough. My mom then took me to the Auto Parts store in her car to get the red tape to fix my light so I wouldn't risk getting a fix it ticket, then helped me put it on.
Overall, knock on wood, the ordeal could have been much, MUCH worse...Now I've actually lived through a car accident caused by my own stupidity, as minor as it was...And thankfully it taught me that THE SPEED LIMIT IS MY FRIEND!!!! No longer will I push that! I DO NOT want to risk something WORSE! Especially on the highway where even MORE lives could be put in danger! x.x Oi!

Well, after some trying, they managed to drag my car out of the mess...My car ended up smashing into the back of the guy's truck, which THANKFULLY didn't damage HIS truck...Unfortunetly for me, it broke the plastic cover on my tail light, which is now temporarily repaired with some of that transparent red tape, and gave me a nice new dent...You see, I used to look at some people's cars in the parking lot of my college that had big dings and dents and think "How the hell did they even GET that? XD"...Now I AM one of the people with an awesome new dent. x3 I so want to just go outside with a huge bandaid, put it on my car's butt and tell her I'm sorry for being so stupid and damaging her. KNOCK ON WOOD A WHOLE FUCKLOAD OF TIMES, but I am SO HAPPY I didn't do worse to her...T.T Poor Bluejay...
After that mess, said friend and I made our way back home...He noticed that my car sounded kinda funny and figured either my allignment was knocked outta whack or I got a stick stuck somewhere in there...I was HOPING it was the stick. My mom managed to get over there fast enough to be right behind me when we got back into town, so we had one of those fun "Aw hell XD" moments. When we got back to his house, I pulled all the reeds out of my license plate cover and out from under my car....And then I made a fun little discovery. You see, it wasn't a stick that was caught under my car....It was actually a section of barbed wire from the fence I ran over XD Which I dragged ALL THE WAY from the beach to his house, ON THE HIGHWAY! We got that out from under there and stuck it in the back of my car.
Thankfully after all that crap, my mom wasn't mad, knock on wood...She was actually more worried about me or him having been hurt in the mess...Though, as horrificially embarrassed as I was, I left out the part where I was going THAT fast and almost rolled my car...I don't think she would have been THAT mad, but bleh...XD My pride was already injured enough. My mom then took me to the Auto Parts store in her car to get the red tape to fix my light so I wouldn't risk getting a fix it ticket, then helped me put it on.
Overall, knock on wood, the ordeal could have been much, MUCH worse...Now I've actually lived through a car accident caused by my own stupidity, as minor as it was...And thankfully it taught me that THE SPEED LIMIT IS MY FRIEND!!!! No longer will I push that! I DO NOT want to risk something WORSE! Especially on the highway where even MORE lives could be put in danger! x.x Oi!
So yeah! XD That's my brilliant moment for the day! Hope somebody gets a laugh out of this or something!

Posted 14 years agoYes, I changed my fursona again...However, this time I actually kinda went backwards. o.o You see, until age 12, I was a white, fluffy cat...Then I became a wolf after meeting a certain black wolf friend of mine....Then over the years I went through varying fursona changes, including being a black wolf, a half black half white wolf, a white wolf with Midnight being drawn separately from me, a wolma(wolf/puma hybrid), etc...
However, oddly enough just after my birthday too...I've come to realize that wolma no longer fits me best, as my reasons for becoming one don't really seem valid anymore I guess, and I don't feel the connection to being one anymore. couger had said that he sees me as a kitty, which I've been told by a lot of my friends for ages now, most being non-furry...I do feel like more of a cat than anything, and when I imagine myself as one, it fits. o.o Sooo...I ish now Turkish Angora cat! ^^
GOD it's weird looking at my profile and seeing "Cat" as the species..XD It kinda gives me that excited feeling, and it DOES feel right...It's just...Weird changing back after all these years XD

In other news, and I know everyone is posting about this...But I really hope Japan is okay...T.T I know they're strong, but I've been reading news updates on them, and the stuff that's been happening over there is scary as hell!
Friday we had lots of Tsunami warnings in my area, because we live on the coast...My mom woke my sister and me up, telling her that her school was closed and me that I wasn't going to class anyway, even if my biology class fieldtrip hadn't been cancelled XD I usually don't get too worried in those situations, but when I put the news on, it kept switching to the Emergency Broadcast System, so that had me a little worried o.o;; I managed to fall asleep again, and when I got up later, my brother told me how there was so much damage to Crescent City, which he'd seen on the news...I was actually very amazed because I wasn't expecting much of ANYTHING to happen XD Rather amazing though...That what happened in Japan was powerful enough to even cause damage in CALIFORNIA o.o;;; Scary and powerful stuff o.o
One thing that really amazes me is how this was all basically a natural disaster, even the nuclear stuff o.o It wasn't human error or war or anything like that...It was an earthquake o.o;;;
Anyways...Yeah...I dunno any donation sites or anything, but uhh...Please sent positive thoughts/prayers/anything of that nature to the people in Japan...o.o;;; I really think they need it...*Wants to rescue all of them in danger* x.x;;;

Possible new style change and reasons why
Posted 15 years agoSo..After the Christmas project I realized I'm REALLY not happy with my style...Like...It's cute and all I guess, but it's usually all wrong in my opinion...The proportions will be way off, or the anatomy, or it just won't look right(aka, derpy as hell)....I thought about just trying to practice drawing real animals and then trying to use that in said style, but that didn't sound at ALL appealing to me. I wasn't really sure what to do until I was looking through my art gallery to find a few older things when I saw some of my stuff in my original style...From this I came to the conclusion:
My current style isn't even mine.
It's true...The style I currently use didn't start out as the style I used...I just really loved
tanidareal's stuff and decided "Hey! If I practice HER style, soon I can be just like her!"...I figured that if I drew that a lot, I would get better and within some time, I would be able to draw just as well...But it's been over two years now, and if anything, I think I've gotten worse at it. I was trying so hard to do what she does that I forgot the basics of anatomy and such...I think drawing characters in that style and making random doodles of them caused me to get so used to how to draw them that way that I got used to my mistakes as well. But enough is enough!

Single, was talking to a best friend's brother a lot while on our snowboarding trip to Shasta <3 That was such an awesome trip!!! <3

Yep XD Last half of highschool followed by my first semester of college!

By being in school ;P
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
No XD No hospitals for me this year! ^^ Knock on wood XD
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
On one of my first driving lessons my bio dad told me to stay in the right lane when a cop had someone else pulled over...Ended up getting pulled over too..x3 Had another run in, but that was just to tell me and someone else to get going from where we were parked XD
7) Would you relive 2010 over and over again?
Parts of it were really awesome, but the future always holds something better! <3

My car..XD Though my bio dad paid half <3

Very much so! I started the year depressed and just wanting to end it all...Since then I've learned a lot of life lessons, gotten my driver's license, started going to college, became more self-reliant, and have become more happy overall! ^^ Knock on wood! XD

Posted 15 years agoSooo....APPARENTLY Viacom is a bunch of fucking dickholes that want nothing but FUCKING MONEY AND GREED and tried charging Suddenlink out the fucking ASS for their programming...Finding this unfair, Suddenlink is negotiating but probably won't pay the extra...WHICH MEANS NO MORE VIACOM CHANNELS!!! ><
I WATCH A LOT OF VIACOM CHANNELS!!!! MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, Nickelodeon, CMT, Spike TV...ALL FUCKING GONE BECAUSE VIACOM SUCKS BALLS!!!! >< I normally wouldn't rant like this...BUT I WATCH COMEDY CENTRAL AND MTV REGULARLY!!!! And I watch TV Land JUST ABOUT EVERY FUCKING NIGHT TO WATCH ROSEANNE!!! >.>
Oh, and when does this glorious programming change if Suddenlink can't negotiate with Viacom? NEW YEARS DAY!!! WHOOPIE!!! >.> I'd like to find the head guy in this and kick him in the balls! First it was FUCKING Youtube getting attacked and videos taken down because of Viacom...NOW IT'S TV ITSELF?!! >< Eventually they're gonna fucking do something REALLY stupid and claim they own the rights to coffee or something and have a bunch of angry morning people out front with weapons >.>

Oh! And as most of you probably know from the massive amounts of submissions that have showed up for all of my watchers out there, I'm doing a big Christmas Extravaganza thing...However! The ones I posted today are just the ones I could get done before Christmas! I still have some more on my list, and a few others I might do on top of those, so I will be doing more Christmas-y pictures for people until New Years I think XD After that, I'll probably just do gift art to those I think could use some! <3

Can't leave shouts...Is this because of the hackers?
Posted 15 years agoI've had two people watch me in the past two days and I wanted to leave them shouts to thank them...However, everytime I try, it won't send them...The page will just stop loading all together, even when I hit refresh. When I go to their pages again, it didn't leave them a shout from me...So, is this part of the craziness? x.x
Oh, and if anyone who watched me recently that I didn't get to thank is reading this...THAAAANK YOU!!!! ^^ It is very much appreciated!!! ^^
