My job at Tanger Outlet, so far.
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm going to be bluntly honest: I can't help but question the managers since alot of things that could and should have been done have been poorly managed in an incompetent fashion. However, things are stable enough and I don't feel it will be too much of a bother to tolerate the way things are at this time. We haven't started using clocking methods yet, but the setup is just plain stupid and time-consuming. It's so bad and unnecessary that I would rather use a Punch Clock again.
Today was a pre-opening Event. 1500 people came and had a party while also getting first dibs on going ot every store on the outlet before anyone else. It sucked SO BAD to go by Auntie Anne and not get my fill of the free Sweet pretzels they were offering, the energetic staff of Johnny Rockets and the heavenly smell of The Fudgery. It was such a tease and unfair
I can say that at this time, they are taking VERY good care of us. They've been getting Catered food from Potbelly's, Chick-fil-A & Panera Bread. This Night/Day, I brought hope a box of Foot-long Bread and 2 full containers of 2 different types of Salads. On Tuesday night I brought home 2 boxes of Chick-fil-A and multiple Potbelly sandwiches. This is going to probably end tomorrow since it's the Grand Opening, so I'm going to make sure I grab whatever I can.

I am Employed once again. The Galaxy is at peace.
General | Posted 12 years agoPrime Time Tuesday night I got a call for having an immediate Interview with Tangler Outlets (A new place opening a short distance from the National Harbor) the next day and chose the earliest scheduling they had. I got there before her and was soon approached by a person that looked familiar. It turned out it was the person that I gave my Resume to back in September during the Job Fair. The lady that called me soon arrived and the interview was pretty much done within less than 10 minutes before I filled out a few sheets. I listened to their idle chatter and heard that 4 applicants jumped ship after a few questions. 2 hours later I was called to go in for drug testing (Which obviously must have been the reason why the others bailed). I turned on my Cell just a bit ago to see a text saying "I have the ok to hire you."
It will be a Janitor position. The pay is lower than my previous, but I'd rather have the money flow than no flow.

I'm 32 tomorrow and AnimeUSAing/Interviewing Friday
General | Posted 12 years agoSince FA will be down, I'm announcing early.
My father gave me a 500GB HD for my comp, though I do wish he would have picked me up for the computer show like he originally planned since he was more than likely going to let me choose something. I would have just asked to go to the Flaming Grill & Buffet or Little Caesars to save him money.
The only thing I want to do tomorrow at best is go to the Base, see some of my former coworkers and get my copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5, then conclude with lunch from the local Food Truck Tokyo In The City.
I have an interview Friday and will be going to Anime USA afterwards since it is a few Metro stops away.

Question: Furaffinity Art Submission
General | Posted 12 years agoA friend of mine chose not to ask, so I'm doing so myself for future reference to other Artists:
How do you submit images with a transparent BG without them coming up as a black background?

Finally, an Interview/Intervention Con was good
General | Posted 12 years agoI got an email on Wednesday that I have an Interview at Macy's. It's Temporary, but it's better than nothing. Funny that despite all the apps I sent in for every company within my proximity that I was more than qualified to do since mid-July said nothing to me at all, yet a company that I applied to responded in exactly a weeks timing. Last time I applied to a position that was freshly open and denied to me, they had it reopen every month because apparently their new hire couldn't handle it.
After getting registered, I rolled a Die to see if I would get a prize. Rolled a 6 and then another 6. I got to choose a prize and chose Manga Studio Debut 4, and they took a picture to post on their site to commemorate anyone that won. Here's the proof: http://interventioncon.com/page/2/
Later on I went to the panel Basics of Manga Studio 5, and then they gave away a few copies for free after the panel in the fashion of a Rock, Paper, Scissors. I got to eat lunch at a Meals-on-wheels that was for the restaurant called GAHD (Greatest American Hot Dogs): A New Jersey Ripper and chocolate Dipped Cheesecake on a stick. I spent my last remaining hours doing the videogame challenges at the Mag Fest. Got a free shirt and $5 off registration as a result.

I lost my job.
General | Posted 12 years agoAll because I shook a machine to get a hanging bag of chips. I opted for Resigning my position to avoid having it slapped on my Permanent record, but that doesn't make things better. I'm doing my best to find another job that won't be such a bastard to the staff. I will admit, I was hoping to leave that money sucking job, though I was hoping got have another before it happened. Doesn't matter now, for they're going to find out the reason why I call myself the "Mitochondria of the Laborers"

New Keldeo Harvest & Free IHOP Pancakes
General | Posted 13 years agoNEW KELDEO HARVESTI found out on Saturday via my weekly Nintendo WFC linkage that they have a Lvl 50 Keldeo available for B & W2. So once again, I'm harvesting more Keldeo to add to the 17 I still have up for grabs those of you that have the game, get it. And those that want another just for the sake of having 2 or having both the Normal and Resolute form. Shoot me a request. And I still have 28 Genesect to give.
FREE PANCAKESI also found out on Saturday during my temporary break from Ni No Kuni that Tuesday, February 5 is National Pancake Day and IHOP is giving away Free Short Stacks (5 Pancakes) I figured that I should make the mention since last year someone mentioned it Last-Minute and missed out because of it. I'm correcting that person's wrong and making sure no one misses out.
My PS3 HD System Storage is corrupted
General | Posted 13 years agoOn Saturday, my PS3 kept freezing up as I was playing Lego Indiana Jones and I decide to attempt the File Restore function to repair the damage. Apparently, it can't do anything about it. I ponder whether it was game disc or the morons that joined my game, but it looks like I've lost 1 1/2 years of Data. That is, unless there's another way to access the drive before I format it. I tried to access it via my comp, but it only allows me to see that the drive is there and doesn't bring it up so I can actually access it.
If anyone dealt with this before and managed to find a backdoor to restore their PS3 HD without going through with formatting it, do inform me.

Mythical Pokemon Keldeo: Want 1 or 2 of them?
General | Posted 13 years agoFor those that don't know:
http://www.pokemonblackwhite.com/po.....on/get-keldeo/
Since I have both Black & White, I've been using one game as an Event Pokemon Harvester to get multiple Authentic Keldeo and am offering them to anyone that wants one or more. I currently have 4 and will be getting more during the weekdays until the event is over. So if you want more than one that is genuine and not a hack, let me know now so we can arrange the exchange.
And do note that I am giving them away for nothing, so you don't need to worry about what Pokemon to give me in the trade.
As a bonus, ALL Keldeo I give away will have the Pokerus virus. so be sure to take advantage of it once you get it.

16 Keldeo LeftI saw How To Train Your Dragon LIVE, and I Love it!
General | Posted 13 years ago(A week late posting. My fault!)
I was conversing with
about the experience, so I thought I'd share it here since it will probably be better than the same journal walls of nonsense that I'm sure everyone here is constantly Nuking.
This was my second World-Wide event of this year (Videogames Live being the first) I've gotten to go to and it was really wicked cool, also being my first trip to the Verizon Center despite living in Metro range. My only misfortune of the event is being in the nosebleed section with a seat-kicking jovial behind me (Why do kids do that? Seriously, I never did stupid stuff like that in public when I was a youth).
At first I was given a reason to feel a bit reluctant about the show when I heard from the person in front of me at the Ticket Booth that previous shows (Including the one that was going on currently) had technical difficulties that actually caused the show to stop. Not something you want to hear when you spent $60 on a ticket and some on Public transportation.
I really enjoyed that they took advantage of their entire arena space. There were 2 visual usage that was used for the show: The Cast and the Stage.
Naturally the characters by themselves is the focus of the performance, but they also use video projections specifically designed to work with the entire stage area. To be more specific, the protection videos they used for the show was designed to work as a form of 3D objects for the characters to interact with as if they were physically there.
[Possible Show Spoiler. So if you plan to see the show and know when it's coming to your area, you might want to skip the following paragraph to the next]
A perfect example of this visual feat was when Hiccup was on his way through the forest to find where the Night Fury fell. The wall had the projection of the side-scrolling trail he took and the Actor was rigged with suspension cables that aided in the visual aspect of him interacting with the background looking as if he was climbing, hanging off a cliff, springing off trees, jumping gaps, and even falling.
POSSIBLE SHOW SPOILER CONCLUDED
The Dragons (Which of course was the main reason why I'm sure everyone was there) were really something. They ranged from Egg puppets to the massively large animatronic Dragon Queen Head. All of the mobile Dragons were really good. The movements were very well handled and did give them a more life-like feel to them. Some lucky people that were closest to the stage had a pretty close encounter with 2 of the Beasties.
My advice if you want to see this event when/if it comes to your area: Try to get a center-middle row seat (even VIP & Player's Club seatings if you REALLY want to spend that much for a perfect view) .
As a momento of the event, I got myself a Toothless Light-up Medallion at one of the vendor spots. There was a table with big and very well crafted plushes of the Dragons near a camera crew setup that was apparently interviewing at random. If you plan to buy paraphernalia at the event, the lowest item is $5 and I have no clue what the most expensive item cost.
