First of all, commission opening is very soon!
Just in case:
My next opening time - the 22th of August at 2 a. m. (GMT +3). This is the 21th of August at 23. p. m (UTC).

Backgrounds now are

10 USD - basic background. Simple, but enough to express the mood and the scenery. Example - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26797252/
40 USD - complicated background. The background with plenty of details. Eхample - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27605277/
Why - Making a nice background usually takes a lot of time and increase the difficulty of the picture a lot. And the time I spend on it which is crucial. As a result, I am always closed for commissions.
Also, I simplified the illustration pack. The illustration now is the fullbody with the simple background. The cost is the same.
All other commission types and prices stay the same.
And thirdly,here comes some slight changes in the slots for claiming. I have corrected the main journal, so it is here just to inform you.

After last commission claiming I have been thinking about possible ways to improve the claiming system.
I am also raising my prices and reworking commission types. All info below.
COMMISSION OPENING
I am going to a vacation (I don't think it will affect any of my current slots deadlines)
My next opening time - the 22th of August at 2 a. m. (GMT +3). This is the 21th of August at 23. p. m (UTC).

And I am not planning to open reference sheet slots any time soon.
I will make a reference sheet only for 
HExploZifs if they will get a slot during the next claiming. Since I promised them to do so previously.
PRICES AND COMMISSION TYPES
Portrait - 40 USD (no changes)
Burst now added - 60 USD
Halfbody now - 75 USD (was 60 USD)
Fullbody now goes with the basic background always and called "Illustration" - 110 USD (was 90 USD)
Reference sheet - not available at the moment.

Claiming - first come first serve. I will create a journal entry by the opening time.
My old system for those who has the most speedy internet.
How it will work - I will submit a journal entry. First two comments will get a slot.
As soon as I give these two slots I will open second two.
Second two slots - a halfbody with an abstract background and an illustration ( a fullbody with a basic background ). These slots will be opened after I gave first two slots. This is approximately the 22th of August. at 3 p. m. (GMT +3). ( This is the 21th August at 24. p. m in UTC time. )
Claiming - random winner. For the most lucky guys!
How it will work - I will submit a raffle picture. Everyone who wants to participate will have 48 hours to comment on it with his number.
After 48 hours will pass I will pick 2 winners with random.org - https://www.random.org/
As soon as I give these two slots I will open last two.
Third two slots - a halfbody with an abstract background and an illustration ( a fullbody with a basic background ). These slots will be opened approximately at the 24th of August. at 2 p. m. (GMT +3). ( This is the 23th August at 24. p. m in UTC time. )
Claiming - auction. For those who wants to be able to affect the process. Will be opened after I gave random winner slots.
How it will work - I will submit an auction picture. Everything else will work as a usual auction.
There will be no waiting list since I find this system a bit inflexible. And I can't give any slots in advance since it will be unfair.
For some of the commissions (probably the most complicated) I will ask for 2 weeks of sketching instead of 1.

Full-rendered art - nothing changed.
Reference sheet - each burst portrait expression now costs 7 USD ( was 5 ). Genitals close-up now is 2 USD ( was 5 ). And I separate portrait expressions in case you want only one extra.

Your commission queue place specifies how many pictures I render ahead of yours. ( To watch it - check my trello - https://trello.com/b/vi5KTCnc/vertrys-to-do-list ). How I place pictures? Firstly I discuss commission details and send you a paypal link. I start sketching your commission only after receiving the payment. The sooner I get the payment, the closer your commission will be to the first place for working on it in sketching phase. Same goes for the next rendering phase. The sooner the sketch is approved - the closer to the "first place" your picture will be.
HOW MUCH TIME I USUALLY DRAW PICTURES?
I take one week to make a rough colored sketch and then I take 1 month for rendering the picture. The general turnaround time for a commission is 3 months at max! If you need a special deadline, please tell me.
Since I make full-rendered detailed art and do it as a part-time Fa artist and I need much time for creating pictures. Therefore, it is rather likely that commissioning me you will get your Art closer to the deadline date than earlier. Also much time is taken when your commission waits for its turn. ( You can check your commission status here: https://trello.com/b/vi5KTCnc/vertrys-to-do-list ). However I do my best not to miss the deadlines that I specify. If I need more time for creating a picture for any reason I will inform you.

Currently commissions are closed since I have too many of them. ( I have a full-day job so, unfortunatelly, don't have much time on drawing for FA )
Also I can only handle 6 slots per month if it makes sence.
I wrote previously that probably will open commissions again in the middle of April. Now I realise that I need to say the presice date to avoid confusion.
I will open commissions on the 1st of May. Around 20:00 PM (GMT +3). Precise date but not a precise time :)

First thing – my commissions are closed currently until the middle of the April. The reason is I have many of them currently and won’t be able to grab another one until that time.
Second thing – ToS and prices changing.
Full rendered pictures.
Prices changing -
Full rendered art prices now -
Portrait is 40 USD
Halfbody is 60 USD
Fullbody is 80 USD
Adds changing
Pets are added to the adds. If you want me to draw a pet – it is 50% from the character cost.
Drawing the other character doubles the price.
In both cases a second character requires a lot of work on the composition, the characters gesture emotions and so on.
Reference sheet.
Prices changing
Now the base pack price is 50 USD. It still consists of the same options.
Adds changing
Full rendered headshot is removed from ordering. Other adds are in the same position. Also wings are added to the adds. Wings are 2 USD.
My workflow changes:
Filling the commission form
In case, you are completing the form more than 24 hours I free the slot. If you need more time to fill the form - it is okay, just tell me so I know you are filling it.
Why so - I had a situation when different commissions bump into each other. While some people were completing the form I didn't know about that and gave slots to other guys. And guess what next? Right - one moment I had too many commissions at one time. :)
Changes and WIP's
Any changes for a picture can be done only before the sketch is confirmed. After sketch is confirmed I will only correct my mistakes and misses.
It works like this now: I send you a rough sketch within a week. If You want to make changes, please tell me. I will correct the changes (no more than three times). If the sketch is OK I will start rendering the picture. I won’t apply any changes for a picture after the sketch is confirmed besides correcting my misses. Correcting my misses or color mistakes is for free.
Also now after the sketch is confirmed until the work is done I will not send wips. There is simply no need in this.
Corrections.
When I show you a rough sketch you can give three changes becides corrections ( correction of my misses are for free ). They should be not major ( like changing the whole character pose or angle of wiev. Or changing a character emotion entirely ) but simple ones ( like changing the color of some elements or adding a necklace or something else to the picture). After the sketch is approved I won't apply any changes for an artwork ( corrections of misses are still for free ).
If you spent three free changes ( not corrections - correcting my misses is for free ) the next ones will be 3 USD each.

ps. Because I will be on Holiday the process of giving you numbers will be a bit slow-ish. Or maybe I even deal with it after coming back.

Posted 8 years agoFirstly I removed flat shade pictures from ordering. That's because I don't make them. Usually I make full rendered pictures only.
Secondly, now adding a background for the art is cheaper - 10 USD instead of 20. I don't know how it would work, just experimenting with it. Maybe if rendering backs will be too hard I will put the price back.
Thirdly, all the prices now + 5 USD. I watched through other artists prices and discovered that I was kind of damping compare to the quality I provide. That means now:
portrait costs 25 USD, halfbody - 45 USD, fullbody - 65 USD.
Thirdly, now I made all NSFW pictures + 5 USD. This is mostly because when I am asked to provide nsfw picture I still make its sfw version. Therefore I provide one extra picture.
And the last one, I worked a bit on my ref sheet option. Now it is cheaper. It costs the same but includes much more items in it:
BASE PACK costs 40 USD and includes 1front, 1back, 1main outfit, 1 feral form, the color palette, the info, what your char likes and dislikes and a custom background. And you can add some extras if needed. And yes. This thing is flat shades, heh. The only flat shades I provide. And worth saying right now I am working on my ref sheet example.

That means I won't be able to paint comms cos I will be away from the computer.

Commission ToS changes
Posted 8 years agoI have changed the ToS. Before I did sketches for free and asked for paiment after them. But it turned out that usually the sketching phase is very important and takes pretty good piece of time. So this new way of working is more comfotable for me.

I can handle Max 6 pic per month - this number will be extended when my painting skill will get better -_-

Raffle starts today and will end the 14th October [edited. was the 1th November but that's too long]
The winner will get the picture with his character (halbody) painted by me!

Add me to your watch and don't unwatch untill raffle is over.
Leave a comment here with your character reference.
I' ll give you your number.
When raffle is over the random generator will choose a winner.
