Happy August everyone! Its been awhile since I did the last text update, I keep forgetting to. Though obviously given the uploads and my presence in discord, I haven't vanished or anything. Just not really sure what to say sometimes; though I do have some stuff I wanna talk about now.

First, the monthly fanart polls. Getting caught up on these is still my top priority. I am aiming to finish the Chun-Li/Cammy poll soon and am in the process of drawing the picture for that. I want to do at least one more poll this month as well, though we shall see. The shading style I used for the recent Sakuya picture will likely be how I render these going forward.

Second, I am close to finishing all of my comms. The last handful of them are pretty big projects though, so they may take a bit. I'm not sure what I will do comm-wise when they are finished. I likely will be doing a public batch before another discord one.

Other than all of this though, things are still progressing as normal. I am happy with the support you all have given me and I am doing my best to make it worth it. As I am now running a patreon, I feel it is smart to make these monthly status updates so people have an idea of what I am planning. That way you all have an idea of what to expect coming up in terms of content.

My current plan is to finish up the Rosalina fanart pic and then do an Easter pic. After that, things are more up in the air. I will likely do another poll around the middle of the month; I have a fun idea for that, but I wanna run it by the discord server first to see if they are onboard. It could be a bit different from your typical fanart poll! Also, I’ll be uploading the first sketchbook collection later this month, as soon as I make a cover pic for it.

Otherwise, I have two main goals for the month; comm work and some OC stuff.

For the latter, I simply want to do more OC pics. This means doing more stuff with Fila, but more importantly, my new catgirl OC Pepper! I gotta break the ice with her more, so expect more shenanigans involving that awful creature. I may or may not draft a third OC as well, we shall see!

But more importantly, I want to get back in the habit of doing comms, hopefully regularly. To this end, I will be taking some comms around the middle of the month. However, in order to test the water and ease back into it, these comms will be exclusive to the patreon discord. So if you want a chance at a comm right away, consider joining that. I will hopefully be able to do both patreon AND public comms in May, June at the latest.

So things are going pretty well otherwise, and I’m so glad to have you guys all supporting me still! I really wanna keep making content that you all can enjoy, and your support both financially and emotionally is very much appreciated! Thank you so much!

FILA’S BIG 2023 ART PLAN

TLDR: I am planning on starting a Patreon and a Discord server in March focused around my content so I can continue to produce it while also interacting with my audience.

So, 2023. I wanted to hit the ground running this year but instead I fell flat on my face. I’ve been horribly stressed and anxious recently. Why? Well money and social media feeling like it's falling apart. I don’t want to dwell on that though; I want to focus on my solution.

Simply put, I need to make more money. I also need a way to keep in contact with potential clients that doesn’t rely on websites I no longer trust. I feel like there is an obvious solution to this: Patreon Discord.

What does this mean? Well, I’ve always wanted a way to connect with my audience more directly. Discord is a pretty good avenue for doing that, but running a public server can be a nightmare. This is why I’ve never made one in recent years, as I simply could not expend the energy to moderate such a space. I believe running a server connected to a patreon can be the solution.

So here’s what I’m planning; in early March, I want to launch a Patreon. The perks of this will be a lot of standard patreon stuff; fanart polls, timed exclusive art, and maybe some other art related things. What will be different is I’m also going to create a patreon server for paying members, and unlike many servers I want to actually make a lot of use of this.

What would be the perks of joining my patreon discord? Potential benefits include:

-Access to priority commission slots, announced on the server ahead of public ones.
-A patreon exclusive space for requests and ideas. Unlike my normal requests, these could include the requester’s OCs. Essentially it would be a place for you to toss ideas at me with any character you can think of.
-A place to give me direct feedback on my work, including ideas for future content. I would regularly ask the discord what ideas they would like me to be working on.
-Access to WIPs of my art process posted as I work on them.
-See the horribly embarrassing indulgent art I’m afraid to put on twitter.
-Just the ability to talk to me directly in general! I love talking to people but juggling 50+ dms across platforms is a nightmare. Sharing a server with supporters could be quite fun!

So yeah, I think it could actually work well. At the end of the day I don’t expect a huge profit; the main reason I want to make this is just so I have a way to keep in touch with close supporters that isn’t reliant on Twitter and DA not blowing up.

I am considering a $5 price tag for access to the patreon and all its perks, including the discord. If the discord doesn’t interest you, I am also going to do a lower tier $3 tier that is just the usual patreon perks of exclusive art, fanart polls, and whatever other stuff I can cook up. Also the more support I get, the more content I can produce; potentially leading to new stuff like stories, comics, or even ILLUSTRATED stories! Wow!

Of course, not everyone has money to spare, I get that. That’s why I’m never gonna be a patreon exclusive artist. Basically all the content I make that is worth seeing will be uploaded to my social media after a month's delay. And I still wanna interact with people when I post, I just wanna try to move most of my activity over to a server where I can more easily keep it organized.

If you read all that, cool! I would love to hear your thoughts. This is still in the planning stage so if you have any ideas of other content I could do, I’m all ears! Otherwise, I appreciate you all for your continued support, and I hope that I can continue to make content that you all enjoy!

I'll be frank: I do not like the UI of this site, and my content isn't exactly furry centric. However, I do wanna branch out more, so I will make an effort to upload stuff here again! Expect to see more consistent uploads from me in the future!

I'm not sure if anyone will see this, but if so I wanna ask; do you think the curated approach is better, or would you rather just see everything I draw?
