Gosh, it's been a while, but we just wanted to let you know that we're still alive and kicking!

Had a couple fun local gatherings since the start of 2018, which have been planned and coordinated on the Telegram chat and the Facebook group, but we'll make an effort to update the FA with journals to inform everyone of upcoming meets.

Who's going to BLFC? We have many locals who are planning to go!

If you haven't heard already, they're adding an area code overlay to the area.
So our favorite 805 wolf will soon be joined by their new friend 820.
I guess there's enough room in the county for a second mascot! :P

Ventura's 4th of July Street Fair continues its proud 41-year-old tradition on Monday, July 4, 2016 from 10 am to 5 pm in Ventura’s Downtown Cultural District. "Celebrating Ventura's 150 Years" is this year's theme. Ventura's 4th of July Street Fair

We'll gather by the fountain near the Mission and walk the street fair. Feel free to stop by and enjoy the festivities!

BLFC and Califur have come and gone, but it was awesome seeing some of you there!

come meet some other local furs at arroyo verde park in Ventura, this saturday!
There is parking in the park, and outside along the street. bring $5 with you to park inside the park.
Dogs (with cautionary leashes) and Fursuits welcome.
Folks should start heading over at noon. We will be congregating somewhere near the back end of the park (tbd, hopefully by the swings)
there are BBQ pits if you wanna bring burgs or dogs to grill. bring your own charcoal. otherwise just bring some snacks to share. dont forget your water bottle and a jacket.
bring some games, cards, drawing supplies, frisbees, chairs, picnic blankets, tails, badges, and all that good furry park meet stuff.
theres some great hiking trails here, for any one who wants to split up and go for a cool people walk.
this is an all ages meet. and in a very public location. so please also bring your common sense.

Ready for an amazing furry meetup & BBQ!
Located at 1175 Hendrix Avenue, CA, 91360 in Thousand Oaks CA.
This is a MASSIVE park, with a large picnic/bbq area, underneath large lovely oak tree’s It also has a large field with loads of space for games an activities, LETS GET SOME TWISTER GOING!
This park is also Fursuit friendly! so we can run around and be ridiculous, and there is a playground for the fur’s that wanna go on the swings and just putz around there.
ITs also dog friendly if you wanna bring your pet, but they must stay on leash.
Please bring friends and spread the word!
All I ask is that we be appropriate as there are kids around at this park and families.


This will be a potluck, so everyone can bring a little something. We will need Drinks, Food, Snacks, Cups & Plates, as well as charcoal.

BUT YES! it is summer time and a mighty fine time for some meetups, dontcha know.

and secondly, WE are planning a fur meet for this month as well. we are still working out some details, but it will likely take place on July 26th or 27th. and will likely be at the Oxnard state beach (or possibly marina park in ventura)
so get yo self beach ready. bring some snacks and or drink to share. take a frisbee or boogie board with ya. fursuits welcome but certainly not required. we will have more info shortly!

see that wolf dude in the 805 hat? well, this guy has somehow become our "mascot", but these are the only images we have of him! This and the fact that we need more group images to post has prompted me to start this "art potluck"

This isn't exactly a contest as there is no prize. It is a sharing of ideas; a communal collaboration on a character. a fun something to get our members involved! :D

You are free to come up with what the rest of him looks like, but he should ALWAYS be wearing the 805 hat. links/entries should all be SFW and include something that you love or is essential to life in the 805 area.***

there's talk of a beach meet up soon. maybe somewhere in Oxnard or Marina park in Ventura. our last park picnic went really well, and we would like to have another potluck. we are going to be carefull to pick a beach park that isnt ALL sand, and playgrounds for wacky critters are always fun. but yes, this will likely happen in the next two months.

also, i would really like to hose an art contest for our members. The rules would be to include our little wolfy mascot (with his 805 hat) and involve some classic ventura county stuff! :D i dont really have anything to offer as a prize, this is mostly a just for fun kind of thing, and the winners will be posted to our page? i dunno, still working out kinks. but i would love to get some art for our group going :)
