Let’s start with the important news, I’m retiring Vikky and all related characters/forms. And no, I’m not going to be removing anything from my gallery. It leaves her happily married, with a child and the real possibility of another at some near future point and time. She has her happy ending, and I’m comfortable with allowing her to have that.

You see, I’m not Vikky, at least not anymore. When I created her, she was a part of my that I had never really gotten to be, and helped me in exploring that side of myself. In the decade plus since then, I’ve found the answer I had been searching for, and decided on who I am and was going to be. After that our places, personalities and dreams have diverged.

I will miss all of them of course. It was fun to work with Vikky and Charlie, and I do wish I had done more with Lela and Rhea, as they both had their own interesting histories that I never got to touch on. It’s possible Ying might move on with me, but I haven’t decided about that yet.

Panthera Leo existed well before Vikky ever did, and I think it’s time I reclaim her face and stories. While I did try folding her into part of Vikky, she was always her own character, and will returning to be that way going forward. All my future writing will be posted under that name, and on her accounts (see my profile for link). Going forward, I don’t foresee myself writing anything as Vikky ever again.

As for the future of this account, I’m not going to be deleting it, or closing it. While I doubt I will be posting anything here anymore, I will still be around for the time being. I’ll just be lurking from now on.

When it comes to the fandom as a whole… Over the last few weeks, I’ve been finding myself going around and around about what my place in the fandom is anymore. Maybe the fandom has grown up, or I have, but I’m not sure I belong her now. That’s something that is going to remain up in the air going forward, and I’ll just have to see where I land.

Lastly, thank you all for being with me through all of this, all my friends here and those who have moved on or sadly passed from this realm. I will always carry your memories with me, no matter where I find myself going forward.

It's funny, there have been a few major life altering decision in my life. The kind that I had to put hours into thinking about, deciding on what I was going to do and what the outcome would be. The last major one was maybe 16 years ago, give or take, a choice where, after a lot of thought and soul searching, I decided not to take. I was sure that I would regret it later on, but I just couldn't make myself take the final step. Maybe I wasn't brave enough, or bold enough, or just willing to risk so much, but it was something I decided not to do.

Yet looking back on it, I can't help but think that was the right choice in the end. If I had gone down that route, I don't think things would have been any better for me in the long run, that it wouldn't have given me what I was hoping that it would. In the end I had to make a different choice, and while it will leave a part of me feeling out of alignment with the rest of me, I think I'm happier the way I am.

Because all the cool kids seem to be doing it, I turned on shinies. I don't really anticipate anyone using them, but you never know!

Well, now that I have finished reposting my old Panthera stories, I'm on to a new story written under my own name and featuring myself. With this posting I'm trying a few new thing.

* Uploaded the story as an RTF file
* Offering other file formats on an external archive site
* Using a custom story icon (which is okay, but I need something better)

These are things I am planing to keep doing or tweak as time goes on. Though I would love to hear what you think of it!

So, I'm going to have some stories to both, including a number of older Panthera ones as well as a brand new one that will be coming up soon. Because of this I'm starting to wonder what file formats I should be using.

In the past I've mostly used text files, but that's been becoming an annoyance as I move my work to more advanced platforms, and while the older stuff I'll be posting will still be text, I don't think I want to do it for the newer stuff.

That leaves me with the question, what's the best format to use?

As I see it, there are three choices. RTF files, DOC/DOCX files and EPUB files. They can be read on pretty much every platform without much trouble, and work really well on portable devices. Of the three I think RTFs are the best as they seem to be well supported everywhere and by pretty much every word processor.

I'm not going to be use PDFs at all, they have to be (ironically) the least portal format I've even seen. I pretty much only read on my phone anymore and a PDF file is flat out unusable on it.

Still, I would love some thoughts on that before I start posting new things.

Before I joined FA, which seems like a long time ago, I posted a number of my adult stories over on Sofurry, under the name Panthera Leo. I doubt this is a name that is familiar to any of you, but I can hope. :)

I'm going to go back and revisit some of the stories I wrote back then, rewriting them or cleaning them up before posting them here. Some of them are rather kinky as well, and they all have some type of TF theme.

This is also why I have both a mouse version of myself and a lioness version, that's really Panthera.

I actually really like candy corn. They are fantastic. Same with the marshmallow circus peanuts. I love them!

Bah, my birthday is sneaking up on me this year. Someone reminded me that it’s next month, I had completely put it out of my mind. Now I’m going to be thinking about it until it shows up again.

I was happy to let it sneak by this year. I’m in my 30s, I don’t think I need any more years.

Oh, I have a new avatar picture. :) It's based on a brand new picture by  Heartz. I think this one came out just fantastic, and I love the pose. :)

Well here we are, I've posted all the lioness pictures, plus a couple new ones here and there. I hope everyone enjoyed them! I'm planning to get more of them at some point, but we'll see when that might be.

Otherwise, I'm going to have mostly mouse pictures for a bit to get back to my real self!

Well, with the return of FA I think I'm going to try and upload all my outstanding lioness pictures (most of which are by  yiffer_fox for years ago). I just want to get them posted and current for everyone to enjoy.

I'll probably be doing a batch of 3 or 4 every week.

EDIT: Last minute reprieve! Story will be posted in a short time.

I made some minor tweaks to "The Other Life" so all the stories are connected to each other in order. It should make navigating though the chapters easier now that I've posted most of the chapters.

With the posting of Chapter 9, "The Other Life" is now half way done. So far I've been really happy with the nice comments everyone has given me on the story. It was a fun one to rite, and I'm glad it seems so popular.

I think I might have to week the way they are posted so there are forward/backward links on each post. A custom thumbnail would also be nice, but I don't really have the skill set to make one.
