Hope you're not as big an asshole as your predecessors, eh?

I've been doing pretty poorly for a long time. This is evident from how long it had been since my last upload prior to the tribute.

I've spent the better part of the last four years hating myself and feeling numb. It's not until I lost my most treasured friend that I realized I could even feel anything anymore at all, and what a shock to the system it was.

I made a vow to him and to everyone who was at his memorial that I wouldn't give up on singing. I intend to keep it, but I'll admit even with the experience I've had with devastating loss prior to this I couldn't predict the kind of effect this had on me. I appreciate your patience as I've been figuring this all out for myself.

I'm in counseling and I'm medicated and working through a lot of complicated and difficult emotions. Understanding that I have PTSD, and autism, and all these fun things I never knew about myself before then. It will be a challenge, but it's one I'm game for.

I look forward to recording more, and getting everything back on track. Since early 2021 especially my entire life has felt like it's on pause, but I'm happy to say it's finally moving forwards. Onwards and upwards. :3

In light of Forest's passing, I wanted to leave something here.

He was always rooting for me to create and sing, always in my corner and listening even if no-one else noticed or cared. Always there whenever I needed someone to talk to.

We went to see wicked together, I sang in his car, we ate dinner and went on a ton of other misadventures since that. I love him with everything in my heart. He has supported me in everyway, protecting me from anything and everything that would come my way. He was a literal real life hero, and he will be missed.

In his absence, the world is much darker. We have to work together to make up for that by being kind to eachother wherever possible, and spreading love wherever we can.

I miss you already wuff, and I love you.

So, things have been rather rough around where I live for the past few months.

Without any sort of income, it's been hard to actually justify making music. I'm starting up a youtube channel, but topically covering songs is often difficult due to copyright concerns, and producing great tracks and such is expensive both time and money-wise so I figured I'd ask you guys sincerely.

If I started a patreon, would any of you be interested in that? Please offer your opinions down below and the like, but I need to take stock somehow as to whether or not this is a venture that'll lead to anything. I'm strapped for money and have been for a long time, and in order to support my boyfriend and also my dream of being a professional singer, I need money. So yeah! Period - I did this one out of boredom while I was waiting to move, so it was kinda rushed! The lyrics need some touching up, and the background track is of a lower quality than I'd have hoped to use. Will I come back to it? Probably not, but it was a good time waster.

Ambiguous - This one was more of a test of my recording situation here in Seattle, and after listening to it again, I think I was a biiit quiet and reserved when recording out of fear of bothering people. I also wasn't as open as I am recently, but I love how I did the chorus. Worst part is I don't know how I did it! XD

The Rhyme - I will come back to this one! This one's got some history with me, and it felt good to do it. I needed to. XP I didn't perform super well during it though so I'll prolly redo it some point. The backup was a bit too loud, the singing wasn't very great, I was just down that day and I figured I'd use that negative energy to do something positive.

Horizon - I'm actually working on a full version of this one in my singing lessons. It's the perfect level of challenge for me, and I hope you guys like the results when that finishes up!

Radioactive - Eh, it was pretty bad. |D I'll be honest, I love Marina and the Diamonds, but I can't sing her stuff worth a shit yet. Maybe someday!

Luminous - I love madoka, and i thought it was terrible that I didn't have anything related to it in my gallery, so I went for it! It wasn't that good, sadly |3

Let Me Love You - This is where I started hitting my stride! It was another one take performance, but I did decently well I thought. Some parts were a little shaky, but I'll get better at those.

Furry Ball - I did this one cause I figured people would want to see more silly shit, and if I get inspired to do more silly shit, you'll see more of it. It prolly won't sound as good though with songs like that, cause they're kinda out of my comfort range.

Fight Song - THis one was a lot of fun to work on! I tried to emulate some effects they used in the original, to varying degrees of success! People seemed to really like it though and I only have a few qualms with it, so progress!

The Middle - I thought I did nearly perfect on this one, aside from the first verse. If I redid that, it'd be some of my best work yet in my eyes! I worked hard on getting this down pat, and I hope it shows.

Unravel - This is a -huge- experiment! As such it was a lot of fun, but not indicative of future direction or quality. As far as my thoughts go, I did well with all but the chorus I felt.

Gravity - This is one of those songs that, before lessons, I couldn't handle. Thankfully, with lessons, that list is rapidly decreasing. I thought I did awesome, and it's a nearly perfect representation of what I can do now. Hopefully I keep outdoing myself!

Complication - Just posted this one! And boy, was it a long time coming. One of the first songs I ever recorded, and it was absolutely awful! I've tried it in japnese a long time ago, and then came back to it about a year and a half ago and neither sounded too good. Now I think I finally got it done -right-! :D

Upcoming Projects
Horizon Full Version - This is something I'm working on getting mixed and set up with my actual vocal coach! Since he teaches me in his very own studio, I'm gonna be able to get that set up and out to anyone who wants to take a listen ASAP!

Headhunt - Since I've done the second Durarara opening, and the first is on its way to being finished, I figured I'd nail down the third one as well! In english of course, singing japanese to me is a thousand times more work than learning a song in english.

Magic (Mystery Skulls) w/friend! - Got a duet version of Mystery Skull's magic coming up for your enjoyment, so hope you're looking forward to that! It'll be coupled with a new thumbnail from my esteemed artist friendo Forest! Who am I singing it with? Guess you'll have to wait and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

Snow (Hey Oh) - It's stuck in my head, so I'm thinking of getting a group of FA singers together to get it stuck in everyone's head together by singing and mixing it up. Could be interesting!

Yoooooo, I'm back on these progress reports. :3 This is the last one I'll write for awhile I hope from Alaska! Moving on the 11th, and I'm gonna do my best to make something happen that's positive for myself! Be it trying to go professional (hah) or at least taking the steps necessary to get started on marching towards that goal (sounds accurate), I'm gonna make it happen!

So, I had a lot less posted this month, but I finished work on two other songs in the interim! The reason those aren't up currently is cause I'm waiting for the cover art for my album, which most of the music from this month was for, to be completed so I can release everything and it'll all look swell.

I did promise I'd do a few English covers this month! Sorry those didn't pan out, I just sorta went with my gut for inspiration on what I wanted to include in this album. I did however organize my first group number.

Didn't/Won't get done!

Bulletproof - Needed a lot of retakes, that the other person didn't feel like doing! Figured he wanted to work on something new, and I agreed. If you want to hear the original rendition we did, in all its roughness, I'll upload it to my scraps.
World's End - Wrote some lyrics! Still writing some lyrics, so expect this sometime in the future.

Girls - This one is still a huge WIP. Sadly, I might have to finish this one on my own if at all.

Announcements! Bwooooosh

So, next month, I'll be moving to Washington, and that'll be awesome. Living in Alaska's been very hard on me, and getting a fresh start there would be incredible. Recording will likely not be so flexible there, in comparison to how it is where I currently live, so I'm making this month as good as I can possibly make it! That said, I'm going to be putting 110% into the work on the songs this month. No pressure of course, but I'd be at least happy if the Group thing I plan on doing with Cool Kids pulls through! Either way, thanks to my friends for being supportive through a lot of my personal crazy. I'm gonna make this year the best I can, and it is my hope that that will be enough to repay each and every one of yah for being there for me so I have the confidence to do that. X3

I am kicking my voice acting stuff back into gear. Still amateur, but I'm auditioning as much as I can. Bit of a snag catching the flu, but once that's cleared up I'll be getting to work on that.

Finally, I still don't have a thumbnail for my music. That's partly getting taken care of for works that pertain to japanese songs I wrote lyrics for or found lyrics for, but nothing for my more serious works. S'not like I'm desperate (yet), so I'm settling for what I have currently. However, as soon as I have money, I'm in the market for one! If I don't buy my friends things first. :I

So, I got a new set of recording hardware, and I uploaded a couple of songs that I've done since the last song I posted up here. Lights was done with the old mic, but Euterpe was done with a new one! Sadly, the difference may not be as clear because Lights was edited by a very talented person, so the quality is quite similar!
