First of all, I never encourage panicking over things like this: it is not the end of the world that FA has several days of outage. As far as I can tell, this website was rarely updated for a reason. It's been around... like 20 years total? I believe that any IT intervention must be a nightmare to go through at this point. I really admire the staff investing their time and effort to introduce new (even if they're a standard in many places) functionalities.

I believe the site will be brought back working soon. Shit happens, great they are doing their best. Who ever worked in IT or on projects in business sense should have some good picture of how it could look for them right now. I know, probably this is years of some technological debt but again - FA was project of passion and perhaps X years ago nobody thought about even maintaining it for years to come... that's what I think at least. Not to excuse it all of course, just trying to understand things.

Of course I also do sympathise with all the artists that are frustrated and anxious because of their main source of income getting shaken as the website is not operational in 100% and these few days even before read-only mode must've been stressful.

Other than that... there's still plenty of spaces to follow your fav artists or stay in touch with them if you're just a viewer/fan. Guys, arting for me is mostly a matter of hobby and source of hobby money. But please, do not fuel the panic as your artists also don't need to feel even more bad about the future of things, overthinking matters. I've spoken to several friends who are artists and trust me dudes, it does not help them.

Year 2024 is heading to an end.

While it wasn't as cool as 2023, I still consider it pretty darn good. Been to the biggest heavy metal festival in Poland and some cool gigs, saw bands I always wanted to see; got promoted at work... on the downside family matters been so-so. While nothing severe has happened, our elders are getting visibly older and both their mental and physical capabilities are decreasing, stressing our parents the most. This leads to some tensions often but such is life and everybody has to go through it. On the other hand it did lead to consolidation in our families and more honesty and dialogue has appeared.

Fandom-wise... well, this year was amazing! Crossed 1k finally! This I consider quite a success, considering I'm a niche inside a niche - pixelart is not something people expect, yet alone in quite a specific erotic scenarios (even if it's not everything I do, I always do various stuff).
Thank you so much guys for warm reception of my pixelart and engagement under the posts. Got a bit better (just a bit) with anatomy and started to put characters into a bit more interesting poses, got better with colours.

But besides me just doing it for my own entertainment, you guys played a huge role in motivating me to keep getting better, host raffles for ya and be patient. Thank you all again and I will never be able to thank you enough.

But even more than that, I want to thank my best teacher (and woif) <3 Her expertise and knowledge helped me a ton and my progress would be waaaay slower if not her patient pointing me the mistakes and giving me advices.

So... may your 2025 be better than 2024! Stay cool, stay calm in these turbulent times. Care about each other. Be patient with each other. Support each other and be the best of you. But also - be polite to yourself. Follow your own true will and whatever you do, do it with love.

So, been wondering about either starting own telegram channel or discord server... you know, gaining more and more followers, thought somebody would like to either get to know me or that it is a time to think about a dedicated space for my audience.

While I have no issue with answering to DMs (at least for now - I'm not drowning under an avalanche of them), the telegram is out of question for now - I had an account once, it ended up being difficult for me to keep track of it + I developed a bit of an addiction because of how much people were messaging me there (and channels were FOMO inducing). Idk, it was years ago so maybe I just wasn't mature enough to keep a hold of my time and such... but I didn't like it and I don't want it to repeat.

Discord is great for me. I am present on few servers, been a mod on few. I feel more in charge of how much attention I want to give to stuff happening there, so it is a good option for me. However, I still feel that making my entirely own place is not something I'd have much time for. And I really don't want to make something half-ass ready... but, I am still (for quite obvious reasons) an admin on one server. This is a place where I am active and often present on VC. It is not a fetishy place tho. It is a cosy artserver of my wife, , where I tend to invite cooler people.

So... in short - no plans on creating own server for now. Maaaaybe somewhere in the future.
