The future of VioletGarden (and a bit of a status update)
Posted 4 years agoHey everyone! We've both been putting it off for way too long, but we wanted to give a status update on things and an idea of where VioletGarden will stand going forward.
I've had to come back and write this journal quite a few times now, and each time it's something a bit different, so I am hoping to just get it out without worrying too much about wording or anything. If anything doesn't make sense, please feel free to ask questions in the comments or shoot us a note!
As for where we've been the past, who knows, year or more? Lots of life stuff has come up, we don't want to get too personal but have both dealt with a lot the past year. Now we feel as though things have mellowed out a bit, we now both have a job, but due to that we end up not having much time aside from work and sleep. We wanted to work on things full time on here, but it just wasn't working out, so we have decided to change how we view the account and how our work process is going forward to account for having full time jobs.
First off, before we get into changes we would like to make, we really appreciate all the support we have received from everyone so far, and would really like to thank everyone for being so patient with us. We're both very sorry for having taken so long to get an update out, but things are what they are.
The first change we would like to announce is that we will be shutting down our Patreon on the 25th of this month. It has been going for far too long, and we have tried to pause the billing cycle every chance we got for too many times. We just don't feel we can keep up with the workload of it right now, and thus we would like to just shut it down for the time being, that way there is no pressure to deliver on anything.
We've already tried to get in contact by sending messages to our patrons to issue refunds for all months of this year that we have been absent, but if any patrons have not seen said message and would like a refund please send us a note and we will send any refunds for any months we have missed. Again, we're super sorry for letting it go on for this long. We kept wanting to make a return, but circumstances just didn't allow us to do so, and now we have settled on that we just can't deliver anymore like we used to be able.
The next thing is that we will not be accepting any commissions for the foreseeable future. We would like to view our account as more of a side hobby, for fun rather than as a business and having a consistent schedule.
To put things short, any content posted going forward will be for fun, done on our own time, and not following any kind of upload schedule. This could mean not posting frequently whatsoever, really just as frequent as we feel, and as we have time between work and sleep.
Mysa has already started working on art again and has been missing creating it, but it has mostly been doodles and personal stuff, which we've been thinking about posting anyway! So who knows, we might get back into it a bit, but definitely not with the same consistency. Anything we do post going forward will probably not have the same quality as before, probably a lot more doodles and sketches. If we start to upload primarily doodles and sketches going forward, would you all prefer them to be posted to our gallery, or would you prefer them to be posted to our scraps?
One last note I'd like to add, we haven't been on much of anything for a while, so I'm sorry for any messages that may have been missed. I'm going to be setting up my discord again within the next couple of days, and will catch up on any messages, along with give an update to those on our discord server. So if anyone has any questions there, I will be available to answer them if my status is online. I will not be using Telegram going forward, as I am unsure if my Telegram account still even exists.

Free Month for Launch of Patreon!
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone! Clover and I have talked about it a lot, and we decided to try our hand at launching a Patreon! We decided that for the first month or so, all posts regardless of tier will be public to give everyone a good feel for what our Patreon will be like!
We have a post on our Patreon pinned with all the details of what will be available and the process of how we will be doing everything. We really want to make our Patreon be a place where people can support us if they desire, and to give something back as a way of saying thanks and to show our appreciation! nwn
Here's a quick overview:
For our first tier, we will be uploading scrapped sketches and doodles. These are sketches we would normally just not post anywhere, but we feel that others might enjoy seeing some of them! ovo
We will also be trying to do bi-weekly polls to decide what sketches will be finished! We have a list of sketch ideas, and have to pick between them to finish. This will give the opportunity for supporters to have some influence on which pieces get finished, along with a behind the scenes view! nwn
We also have a Discord (link available here) and there are some supporter roles in the Discord as well.
Our last tier will be able to ask us questions once per month! These questions can be in universe with any of our characters, or OOC, and we will try our best to respond to all of the questions.
We will be drawing responses, but if we can't get to all of them then we will directly reply to the comment.
We will also have previews of any comic pages we work on. Things like sketches for example. We hope this gives a behind the scenes look, and a sneak peek into what is to come.
The last tier will also have first dibs on half of the commission slots. We will announce slot openings 3 days early on Patreon. It will still be first come first serve, however these patrons will have first dibs at any commission openings.
As Mysa mentioned before, all of these rewards will be available for a month for free to celebrate our launch, and to give an idea as to what will be available to supporters~! nwn
We really wanted to stay away from Paywall models and storefronts, so all finished pieces will be posted publicly at the same time for everyone - both on Patreon and publicly on FA. Patrons instead will get to see content we had no intention of posting otherwise - some insight on our working process! So! Instead of a Paywall model, we're opting for more options to have more of a community-based Patreon, hence the polls, Asks, and suggestions!
Now as for our last reward - We actually have a passion for making games and would really love to delve into developement more. Any future game projects we work on we will be providing beta build downloads to our 2nd tier supporters to give a sneak peek into those kinds of projects as well. We actually already have something small in the works, and once we get it just a bit more polished we'd love to share it with you all~

We wanted to have a place to talk a little bit more casual, without having to feel like we are spamming whenever we want to talk about something~!
If you are interested, then both me and Mysa are on here! Though, Mysa is quite a bit more socially anxious, so don't expect her to respond to things all the time. She mostly likes sharing memes!
This is the first time we've done something like this, so we're going to have to see how it turns out! Hopefully it is a fun place to interact with us!

Commissions were open (but not anymore) [0/6 Slots left!]

We're going to be opening up commissions again here soon, and are going to be taking 6 slots this time! So if anyone is interested, feel free to either send us a note, or add me on Telegram/Discord! (My telegram and discord is available on our profile~)
We have a f-list to show what we will and will not draw! Feel free to check it out if you aren't sure whether we will or will not draw something. If there is something on our maybe list for commissions, then just feel free to send us a note to inquire and go into more specifics.
If you're interested in taking a slot, then here's our price sheet! We also have a tool to use that will help calculate commission prices, which you can find here~
We have a commission queue available here, and you can see current slots there. We also constantly update this as we work on commissions, so you can see how your commission along with other commissions ahead of yours are doing! ✨
I also wanted to mention some policy changes to our commission policy that we will be making~
- In the past, we've told people they can have a maximum of 2 slots per commissioner, and allowed joint commissions as separate commissions. We've decided to change this approach, and allow a maximum of 1.5 slots per commissioner, to allow others to get commissions as well. We are also now counting joint commissions as a half slot!
- Regarding alterations, normally we have been handling commission priority as first come, first serve. Trying to finish and prioritize commissions that came in first. We are still going to be doing this, however we have decided to create a priority system that still works as first come first serve as default, but after 5 total alterations are requested by a commissioner we will now be lowering the priority of said commission one slot lower. We are hoping that this change will allow for other commissioners in the commission queue to have a chance to get theirs done without having to wait so long, and allowing for the rest of the commission queue to be finished in a more timely manner.
- We've decided to restructure how we charge for alt versions. Instead of charging on a per alternate version basis, we have instead decided to charge per change. The initial intent behind alternate version charges were to allow for commissioners to have alternate genitalia versions, wet/dry versions, and other small changes. But we've found ourselves spending too much time working on changes for alternate versions, so we have decided to change the charge to be based on per change rather than per version. Large edit alts do allow for more flexibility regarding this, but just make sure to speak to us about your alt version changes up front!An Introduction

And my name is Mysa~!
We are both a couple, and both run the account together as equal partners. We often see each other as our other half toward making a better whole together! We wanted to introduce ourselves a bit, and hopefully put ourselves out there. Some things here are a bit new for us, but we are trying our best to get everything looking nice and easy to understand on this new account of ours. Let us know if there's anything we can do better, or anything we might be missing!

I'm 23, my fursona is an otter because I think otters are super adorable, which fits me a lot! I love being called cute, and just being cutesy in general. When you get to know me though, I'm a bit more feisty and let a lot of my personality show through! I can get a bit intense when talking about things that excite/interest me, and I just hope that shows to other people how passionate I can be about my interests.
I would say my top interest is video games. I absolutely love video games and have been playing video games for a very long time! My personal preference for platform is PC, but I also love the switch. I know Mysa is the same as me in that respect! I love playing games like World of Warcraft, Minecraft like most other people, BotW, GTA5, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls, and tons of other games. I just love games a lot in general.
I'm also really into tech stuff, I'm a bit of an IT girl and love programming too. Which is reflected in my fursona, as she is also a bit of a tinker! I feel like my love for programming mixes really well with my love for video games, as I have made lots of video games for fun! But I've never posted anything before.
I love furry related art and have for a while, but have never gotten too involved in any furry communities. I'd love to meet more people though, so feel free to say hi whether through note or through a comment! I'd really appreciate it!

Hello, I go by Mysa - i'm 25 and my fursona is a western screech owl. I'm actually quite shy and get socially anxious very easily, so I prefer to stay quiet in general. My passions are Art and Games for the most part (playing mainly on my PC or Switch, often with Clover). Okami, Final Fantasy (9/10/12/14), Pokemon, and various tycoon games like Prison Archictect and City Skylines are my favorite games! Anything game design related is also way up my alley.
Clover asked me to make an f-list too, so I did. Here it is! I'm still exploring new kinks, so don't be suprised if you see me draw anything that's either not on the list or in the Maybe column.
