Sooo...Here's the deal.
General | Posted 11 years agoWhen I was first introduced to the furry fandom, it was w rocky relationship to be sure. I wasn't sure this was a thing I wanted to do. I dipped my toes in the water before I really decided to start swimming in piles of fur. Then I went to a fur even and it was AWESOME!!! By this time, I had created Vayne, and I LOVE him. At first, I definitely thought that he would be my only character. However, I am certainly realizing that this is not the case.
I use to be a very avid rper back in the days of myspace, and even then, I used multiple characters. So I think that is what I am going to do. I already have a few ideas. But each character is going to be different. I did think about giving Vayne up and just changing who I am. But I love Vayne too much to do that so I am going to keep him and make others. Simple as that!

Guess who is alive....
General | Posted 12 years agoIf you guessed me, you would be correct! Congrats. But I suck at baking so no one is getting a cookie.
Anywho, I've obviously been gone for a while. No real big reason besides moving and having no internet. That sucks because guess who gets to sort through 893 submissions and fave the ones he likes. ME!! You might say "Well, Vayne, why don't you just go ahead and nuke em all?" to which I would respond with "Then what's the point of even watching someone?"
So yes. I am going to put my best foot forward and try to make it through all the submissions. In the mean time, how is everyone? Are we surviving in this harsh world? I hope we are.

KCfur BBQ!!!! AKA Vayne's Debut!!!
General | Posted 12 years agoSooo...today was a big day for me. In the short form....it's because I went to my first fur even and it was flippin sweet!!! Now...the long version.
So since I decided to try to join the furry fandom, I've always been a little hesitant. I mean, I roleplayed as a wolf when I was younger, but I didn't think this was the thing for me. I tested the waters for a while and watched a few artists. I even put a little bit of thought into my character. And I mean a little bit. So little, in fact, I think it was making my furry mentor a little irritated with me. Then some personal shit happened and I went on a 4 or 5 month hiatus. I came back to almost 1,000 submissions to look through, and like 100 journals to maybe read. And I took care of all that, but I was still on the fence about this whole situation.
Then my mentor/friend, in an effort to hang out with me since I dropped out of college, invited me to the BBQ. And I decided to go. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, didn't know if there was a certain way I should act, etc. But I went to the BBQ and the after party. And I had a blast! I met some really cool people, seen like four or five different full fursuits(THEY WERE THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN PERSON), and got a crap load of scritches. I don't regret my decision at all.
So now, my spot in this fandom is no longer shaky. I love it. I love being Vayne. I love hugging everyone. I love being tackled by fursuiters. It was.....It was actually pretty eye opening.
Thank you to anyone who is reading this and made this night so special for me.

General | Posted 13 years agoMmmmm.....I forgot how much I love Evanescence
Anyway, I just thought I would give a quick update on my life. Last semester, I was a student at a college here in my state. It was difficult and I actually failed a majority of my classes. Then over break, I decided i would give it an honest try. Then I come back and....I don't know. I'm just not ready for college. If I were, I wouldn't be sooo willing to just skip class and sleep in my room all the damn time. So one day, I sat down with myself and thought about who I was and what I really wanted to do with my life. And I realized, at the point where I am in my life, I don't want to be in college. So I decided to drop out. Here's essentially how everyone reacted.
FRIENDS
Thank god for my friends. They have all helped me a lot. Big shout out to
duskoe . That boy has helped me soo much. He is one of the only people who has completely supported me and hasn't tried to sway me one way or another. I wish I had as much faith in myself as he does. Then there is my other friend Holly. I'm pretty much the only person at the university that she wanted to hang out with on a regular basis. I feel like it's going to be hardest on her when I go. But she understands. The only thing she asks is that I spend some sort of time with her before I go. Which I intend to. One of the main reasons I haven't technically dropped out is because I still need to say my goodbyes. Finally, there are my two best friends at my hometown. They are fantastic people and have already helped me decide what I will do to find a place to live.
FAMILY
My family is a little split on this decision. My sister can understand why I am doing it, but she is mainly worried about me losing my financial aide. She recommends me taking online courses to keep up with my gen eds. and the make sure that I can take full advantage of the financial aide. My brother-in-law has actually been a big help. He likes to talk so he has talked to me alot about this whole thing. He's helped me put my thoughts and wants into words. And he also did the same thing I am doing (essentially). And he survived, gaining a great wife and two amazing kids in the process. My mom is cool with whatever I do because I am an adult and I can make my own choices. My dad on the other hand is NOT happy at all. He wanted me to go to college and graduate and become something amazing, doing better than he ever hoped to do himself. I get that. But what he doesn't get is that I am not him. I'm not my brothers. I'm not content with just sitting in a house that I don't pay for, never working, never earning the money I need to buy stuff. I am not just going to waste my days at his house sleeping. My ass is going to be working two jobs, maybe even taking online courses. And I will be moving out of his house asap. He loves me and I love him, but I can't be under his thumb anymore.
ME
I'm terrified. I know I can't do this college thing anymore and I know I can't live under my dad's judging eye anymore. Thankfully, two of my friends have offered to get an apartment together. Which will be great, but still, I doubt I'll be able to spend too much time at that place. The apartment is $980 a month, and then we have to pay for our electricity. Then I have to split my phone bill with my dad, pay my car insurance, maybe even pay my student loans off, or pay for online classes, and help with groceries above all that. I'm scared, yes. But I need to get out there in the real world and start living as an adult. I don't want to end up being 27 years old and living with my parents, relying on other people to pay my way.
Yowzas.....that was a bit longer than I expected. Oh well. What can I do. Who ever knows if anyone will read all this. I'm just glad I got it off my chest.
Have a great day!

I like to know me!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo
akhera just did this, and I like to learn about myself so I did it! Learn about me too!
Impulsive
You trust your your instincts. What others may see as rash behavior is, for you, simply going with your gut. Individuals with a high score on the "impulsive" trait tend to try new, sometimes outrageous, things.
You are not timid. For you, spending time microscopically examining the pros and cons of every decision means never getting anything accomplished.
Passionate
You are in touch with your emotions, and sometimes you react before you think. The good news: you don't tamp down your feelings. The bad news: you sometimes say or do things that you later wish you could take back.
You do not live your life on an even keel; you do not go for long periods without experiencing some mood swings.
Accessible
You're comfortable expressing yourself in words and actions, with no self-censorship. You believe that if someone doesn't like what they see it's not your problem, but theirs. A high score on the "accessible" trait suggests that you have a lot of friends, socialize often, and enjoy rap/hip-hop music.
You don't see the need to keep your thoughts to yourself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only yourself and a small circle of friends and relatives.
Understanding
You are willing to take the time to find out what's going on with other people, especially if they're in distress. You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested. With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.
Tender
You are gentle with others, both physically and emotionally. You are careful not to upset people and go out of your way to find the nicest way to say something. You naturally focus on the fact that the world is full of wonderful people, places, and things. More often than not, people with a high score on the "tender" trait enjoy spending time with children, love romantic movies, and are enthusiastic about making the world a better place.
You don't think of yourself as tough-minded or gruff, nor do you need to be seen as some kind of objective source of truth and rationality.
Emotional
You let it all hang out, and those around you always know what you're going through.
You are not isolated from your emotions; no one would call you "cold-blooded," or even "cool as a cucumber."
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Sympathetic
You have a knack for knowing what's going on in the hearts and minds of those around you, without their having to tell you explicitly. People tend to turn to you with their problems because they know you care, and that you will likely offer good advice and a helping hand.
You do not feel that people with sad stories are just looking for attention, or have brought their problems upon themselves.
Warm
You have a genuine interest in other people. You're a natural host, and are always thinking about how you can increase the happiness of those around you. When friends have problems or are in trouble, you're usually the first person they turn to for aid and comfort. Scoring high on the "warm" trait suggests that you are among those who enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.
You don't always say exactly what you're thinking; you don't like the idea of causing anyone pain because of your criticism.
Scrupulous
You are an honest, fair person. You don't lie or cheat to get ahead. You treat others with respect and hope for the same in return.
You do not feel that you are above the rules that everyone else follows; you are definitely not willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead.

Get to know MEME
General | Posted 13 years ago1. We all know what we call you, what about the folks at home? What's your name?
Talon. Everyone thought that was unique enough. They never gave me a nickname.
2. How tall are you?
5'10". A little short for my age.
3. Natural hair color?
Black
4. What about eye color?
Hazel
5. What orientation are you?
Gay, with just a little pansexual thrown in there.
6. Are you single, taken, or undecided?
Single. v.v Have been for about 2 or 3 years now.
7. What do you do in your spare time?
Cry. I do a lot of that. Because of Dr. Who, Sherlock, Glee....I like my TV shows okay? I also like to browse tumblr and 9gag. Games are a pretty big part of my life. Then there are times where I just want to spend time with my family.
8. What's your job?
Right now, I work as a host at an amazing restaurant. Soon, I'm gonna look for a second job. Bills and all that.
9. What's one thing you like about yourself?
I like the fact that everyone can look to me for some sort of comfort. That and the fact that I don't base my success on monetary values, but on the loyalty and love of those holding my hand.
10. Alright, now what about something you dislike about yourself?
HA! You want a list? I don't like the fact that when I first meet people, I am not approachable. Or the fact that I am, apparently, not romantically attractive. Then there is the fact that I'm also turning out to be a failure. This portion can go on and on.
11. What's some things your friends noticed about you when they first met you?
Hmm....Well, my best friend definetely thought I was a twerp. His last name is Foster so at a young age, I thought that meant that he was a foster child. Then another one of my friends probably noticed my passion that I constant exude from myself. And then there are the friends I made when we shared a little bit of complaint that seemed to make us a perfect match.
12. Of what faith/religion are you(if any at all?)
Non-denominational Christian. I kinda have a unique view on religion, and I am willing to talk to anyone about it.

16. What are your dreams/goals?
Right now, my main goal is to start living as an adult without being under the control of my father. In the end, my dream is to find love and start a family together.
17. Ever had any crushes/ex's in the past/present?
Yes. My heart does a bit of jumping around when it comes to men. Most of my friends seem to think I have a new crush every week. Then there are the crushes that moved straight to a very strong fancy. Then, after all that, there are the straight infatuations. And then there was that one time I was in love. Which ended horribly.
18. Who's your best bud?
My best friend is this amazing guy, Steven. He's....ah, this boy is amazing. We met when we were in elementary school, and we have been inseparable ever since. He is the yin to my yang. He is definitely the opposite of me. Where I am crazy, flamboyant, hyper, and even slightly over-dramatic, he is calm, cool, collected, and so very grounded. He takes all the wibbly wobbly stuff in my life and helps me lay it down in one line where I can easily observe the best course of action.
19. Alright, you got the cravin' for munchies, what'cha reachin' for?
Cheese cubes. Mhmm! A day doesn't go by where I don't eat cheese of some sort. And I don't have any complaint about that.

1995 Toyota Camry / 1969 Lincoln Continental soft top, painted Hunter Green.
27. Most disliked bug?
Ci-fuckin-cadas!
28. Most hated pet peeves?
Entering the exit doors at places like Walmart and vice versa. People who say UM too much when they are talking to me. . . a lot of stuff actually.
29. Dislike in life?
Feeling weak. Or being made to feel like a child or insignificant.
30. Most annoying?
Not being able to get my point across. And not being amazing at anything but being okay at some things.
31. Most disliked TV show?
Ugh.....There are quite a few. But I can't STAND tv show adaptations of movies.
Talon. Everyone thought that was unique enough. They never gave me a nickname.

Well Hello! -=OOC=-
General | Posted 13 years agoWell hi there!
My name is Talon, and I am pretty new here. As a matter of fact, I'm so new, my warranty is still in tact! So I guess, in the spirit of.....well....greetings, I will tell you a bit about myself or something! I don't really know. This is my first online journal so let's see how things go!
I've always kinda been a furry. I use to role play when I was younger, and my very first character was a wolf named Ace. Obviously, since I was only 13 or 14, I was horrible! But I loved it so much! Ace lasted for some time, though he was never really an anthro. The first character I had that was slightly close to anthro was Trey. but he took on SOOOO many variations that I wouldn't really call him a fursona.
But now I am Vayne Dominus. A bad ass lion who really doesn't give a shit. All he really cares about is being on top. And that can be taken a lot of ways, which Vayne has taken it in almost all the ways. In every aspect of his life, he likes to be king. If he isn't, he will fight tooth and nail to take control. Vayne doesn't really care about being 'good' or nice. He just wants to be in charge. Friendships aren't something that Vayne tries to make. Sometimes Vayne will let others in, but it takes a special kind. However, once they are close to the lion, they will have one of the greatest and most loyal companions they could ask for.
I'm sure there is more to him, but for right now, that is all I can muster. Now about ME!
I am a college student, majoring in clinical psychology. I am only a freshman, so I will probably be here for a while. I don't have much talent when it comes to drawing, but I am working on that. My real gift is in written word, but being so new to this fandom, and having not written creatively in such a long time, I'm not quite ready to write in the furry world. I'd like to think I am a fairly good actor, but that can't really translate into anything i could submit to this site.
I'm pretty fun loving and laid back. But you would never be able to tell that the first time you meet me. I put up this stupid front like I'm too cool for school, and I can be pretty off putting, but it's not who I really am. In all actuality, I am there for anyone who needs me. I love to help people and I am definitely a people pleaser.
That's about it for now. I'm sorry if this journal was boring. If I write more in the future, I hope I can entertain someone!
KTHANXBAI!
