Wow, I was really out of practice, so it took me longer than I expected.

Adding a lot of extra detail did not help that of course, but I sure was fun to do. (^_^)

Hi people, the last year was a little rough for me, but thing are looking up!

The migraine thing I mentioned in my last journal seems to be related to a form of panic disorder and triggered by (unneccesary) stress, but now I'm getting some great help dealing with the issues that cause it, so things can only get better as far as I'm concerned. (^_^)

So now I finally feel good about drawing again and I'm currecntly finishing up a piece I started last october but abandoned because of the above.

With a bit of luck I'll be uploading it soonish. (^_^)

Also: I'ts my birthday, so what better day to revive my online existence eh? (^_~)

Just wanted to tell you people why I havent been active for a while:

I'm having these stabbing headaches on one side of my face on an on and off basis for the past month now so my art is suffering a bit from that as you can Imagine... (^_^)

The docs haven't figured out what the exact problem is and are still working on it, but at least they managed to make sure its none of the horrible dangerous life-threatening things it could so easily have been, so I'm very, very thankful for that.

At the moment bets are that an old head injury I got when I was a little kid is part of the cause, but I'll hear more about that later.

The scar that accident left above my eye is actually one of the reasons I took a Zangoose as my avatar, the other reasons are that it's a fluffy cat with knives on and an attitude. (^_^)

I now have some meds which might help in the interim, so lets see how that works out.

I'll put stuff up as and when I finish it for now.

Vacation is done, back to work I go, no more lazy days...

Had a great time, finally managed to visit Euro Disney with a few friends and managed to see most of it, we only skipped a few bits where waiting time was two and a half hours. (o_O)

I feal great and have a lot of things I'm working on at the mo.
Bags of sketches and idea's beg for my attention, now to decide what to do first.(^_^)

Also big thanks for all those who have added me to their watch lists recently, normally I like to thank people personally, but I didn't have the time. (^_~)

My vacation started this week and I spend the first few days just recovering from work. Phew, it was so busy those last few days, I was wondering how I'd make it. (o_o)

But now I finally have time to get into drawing again, so that's just what I am doing.

I'm tired and slow at the moment:
Extreme tree/pollen allergy is doing it's best to subdue me, and the extra pills I got to combat that are making me feel like one of the living dead, except for the fun eating brains, bit's falling off and smelling funny part.

I got the zombie shuffle down pat though... (^_^)

Should be over in about a month, when the tree's and stuff stop having their wild orgies in my sinuses and tubes, so I'm -really- looking forward to that.

So far 2009 isn't being my best medical year to date... but I'll manage. (^_~)

Ending on some pure random points:
- The game "Plants versus zombies" is a fun time-waster.
- The StarTrek movie is great fun. Go see it if you like SF.
- Terminator Salvation is pure mindless explodey entertainment with plotholes a Hunter-Killer can fly trough.
- Cave Story Wii shoud be out soon. (Yay!)
- Macademi Wasshoi is the most insane ecchi/humor anime I've seen yet. It's very weird, If I must describe it it's like Harry Potter on crack with lots of fanservice. It makes fun of just about all otaku and anime tropes out there.

Hi peeps a quick message:

As you can see , I have not posted anything new in the last 2 weeks.
The reason is simple:

Personally I think that creating things is one of the most fun, but sometimes frustrating, thing in the world.

I was not really satisfied by some aspects of my art, this was bugging me, sapping away at the fun, so I decided to take a little time off from my list of projects to practice and figure out those things, like drawing better hair and body shapes (especially different poses and the mystery of feet/paws).

Hair and legs can turn out amazingly weird if you only half understand what the hell you ard doing. (-w-)

I'll be back to updating after that, but in the mean time I'll just lurk around a little.
Maybe I'll upload some of the sketches later if I think they are good enough. (^_^)

Just a little post to get rid of the "I iz depressud" journal. (^_^)

I'll be posting new stuff soon(ish). (^_~)


Something totally different and unrelated:

A new sci-fi/horror movie "Splice"has the following plot:

Scientists create transgenic creature that eventually turns on its creators.
Nothing new there, sounds very much frankenstinean. (^_^)

Now it may be my Pokemon obsessed mind, but after seeing a few stills of the girl creature on io9 it seems to me to look a bit like an emaciated Mewtwo, with the long tail and especially around the feet, with a hint of the singer Bjork mixed in for good measure.

The "baby"version looks a lot like how a (ugly) armless Mew could look like in the real world. (o_o);

They both look 100% creepy.

I've hit a patch of emotional turmoil lately, making me feel a little down and uninspired...
Don't ask what the reason is, as I'm not quite sure of it myself. (-_-)

It's probably just a bit of the winter blues or something, so I think it will pass sooner rather than later.

As soon as I'm feeling what passes as "normal" for me I'll finish the pic's I promised Sky and Incog, sorry for making you wait so long you two.

I'm feeling a little guilty about that to be honest. (^_^);

Luckily I am sketching again and getting fresh idea's so I hope to get myself back on the rails as soon as possible.

Speaking of fireworks:
The neigbours of the friend where I was staying actually managed to set their very own garden on fire by sheer force of inadvisedly applied pyrotechnics.

Seems they got bored (it was VERY cold) and decided to just burn the remaining fireworks on a pyre with lawnmower gasoline... I think you can guess the rest. (o_o)

The firefighters had to be called in to help douse the flames, but luckily the damage was very limited, so it all was good for a laugh.

I think he'll be a little more carefull next time.
Fire + gunpowder = BAAAAAAD! Hmmmkay?

Only one day left, I need to get those presents packed! (o_O)

Finally managed to finish the Christmas picture I was working on. Phew. (^_^)

This also means that I can now make a serious start on the kiriban for Sky and Incog's request. Sorry guys, these last weeks were murder on my drawing time...

But first... to survive Christmas dinner...
Not that the food is going to be bad or anything, but I'm not much of a "consume mass quantities" kind of person. (^_^)

Time has been a very rare commodity this week... sadly I could not get anything done because of that. (T_T)

Christmas preparations and lots of last minute "must finish before the end of the year" stuff at work makes me one dog-tired puppy. And it looks like next week will be even worse. (o_O)

Not to say I'm feeling negative or something, I'm just tired...

At least there is my christmas holidays to look forward to, with lots of time to sleep in, draw, (over)eating, drinking and being merry with friends and family. (^_~)

I tend to be slightly chaotic in my work order, but the Christmas pic (obviously) has the most priority at the moment, after that I'll concentrate on the gift pics.
