General | Posted 11 years ago From time to time I still check this account and it amazes me even now that people still find my work, favorite and comment on it. I greatly appreciate that you enjoy what you see and thank you for all watches, commentary and favorites.
However I should mention that this account is essentially just a dead account I log in from time to time. If you're looking to see art updates and what not its not very likely that I'll ever post art here again. Its not because of any FA scandal or anything so ridiculous, its just more because I'm not the same person I was back when I was active on this account and as such just don't add to it anymore.
Still a raptor therian and all that, that has not changed. Still love furry arts and such, that also has not changed.

Its been a while
General | Posted 13 years ago Must seem like I've dropped off the face of the earth, as my last update at all was in December of last year. Things have been great living with my Fiance. Her love has truly been one of the few blessings I've had in recent times. Life has been going a mile a minute, being with her as well as other issues. Recentlly my Grandfather and my father have both passed away. I'm deeply grieved by the loss of these two dominant male figures in my life. A great hole that shall never be filled. I'm sad neither will get a chance to see me get married.
But enough of my personal business. I know I've not held up at all with my resolution to do more art this year. I went to do one in January but photoshop crashed midway and I lost everything. I gave up on it and never returned. In February I managed to do a personal intimate picture between Zadia and I, which I won't be uploading. Since then I've not done a damn thing artwise. its not from a lack of ideas either its still the same ol me dreaming big and being burnt out by my own ambition. Lot easier to just play a game then convince myself to do art
Also my hatchday is coming up, I'll be 30 years old. Oh how the years pass. Seems like forever ago I was in high school not giving a fuck about anything. Now the weight of the world is upon my shoulders. Oh how I've changed through the years. Sadly I'll be alone this year as I'm stuck several states apart from my girl and beardie. My Father's gone and my mother is in the hospital. So much for turning 30 with a bang. I wanted to get myself an art done but I doubt that will happen. End of another Year
General | Posted 14 years ago So it has come at last, the end of 2011. Its been one hell of a year, a very quick year at that. Seems like just yesterday I was sitting down to write my yearly end journal. Its been a better year for me by far.
First and foremost is the founding of love in my life. In November of 2010 I met a wonderful girl who you know as Zadia. It began simply as gaming buddies over a MMO called Everquest 2. To be honest at first the regular inclusion of somebody in my social life was irritating. Particularly so being as I'm horribly anti social. Fast forward a few months and she grew on me, more then I thought anybody could. I think that I grew on her too as she was the first to admit her feelings for me. After a few visits it was set in stone, we were meant for each other. I moved in with her at the beginning of October and we've been happy together since. She is the single greatest gift I've gotten this year, and each year beyond is a gift to me. I love you Sofya, you are the world to me.
If that wasn't enough to make any grown man blessed, I can say I've also been blessed with the continued presence of my favorite bearded dragon Vitti. Like Zadia he is the stone, the foundation that makes my life what it is. From the morning feedings and playtime to the evening snuggle and nap, I couldn't imagine a day without him in it to save my life. Hes such a gentle, loving and curious beardie. To me he is like my child, my baby.Love him to death.
With my girl and my baby by my side I'd say I've had a pretty blessed year. In addition I'm also thankful for the continued health of my mother who has battled cancer and other issues the entire year. Almost lost her mid December. I'm also thankful to have such great and accepting step parents, who have taken me into their lives. Thankful to have a great place to live and good games to play.
Speaking of good games to play.. (C'mon I'm a gamer you knew this had to be coming.) This year like most has been blessed with a steady stream of enjoyable games to occupy my time. I managed to buy another PS3 in August and now have 16 games for it. On the PC as usual I've increased my stockpile of games by a modest sum. (now totalling 205 games)
As I did last year I'll show a trailer for a few games and explain why or what I liked about the games. If your a gamer by all means share some of your gaming moments.
Disgaea - Unfortunately no trailer was available, nor gameplay video that really could do this game justice. Its impossible to sufficiently describe the humor and characters without experiencing it yourself. Disgaea is a Strategy RPG the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre. It art style is completely anime and its characters completely over the top. The game doesn't drive you with deep storylines or seriousness. Instead you get a odd, humorous storyline that's often completely insane filled with some of the best characters. Being a small company you might suspect that the gameplay lacks. That is not the case, Disgaea has as deep if not deeper strategical gameplay then any other SRPG I've ever played. I was so smitten by Disgaea that I bought every Disgaea game and paid nearly 400$ for a PS3 just to get Disgaea 4. Its easily one of my favorite series ever now..... Dood

I chose the live action trailer because the game trailer has been used to death. It might seem cliche for me to add Skyrim to the list but I added it from the sheer amount of enjoyment I've gotten from it so far. I've been a longtime fan of the elder scrolls series, starting my foray into Tamriel in TES3: Morrowind. I put hundreds of hours into Morrowind, making it one of my most played non MMO games ever. Then came TES4 Oblivion, which I put in about a thousand hours. So to think I wouldn't enjoy Skyrim was a fools hope. They'd of seriously of had to botch the game something fierce. They didn't however, they released what could be one of gamings true masterpieces. The game we got was a SP roleplayer's heaven. I'm still enjoying it to this day.
AI War : Fleet Command - No trailers for this game really give a good overview of the game. Despite that AI Wars is quite possibly one of the best RTS games I've ever played, despite being from a indie developer. Its a 4X Strategy game that bears some similarities to Sins of a Solar Empire. It has elements of economy, base building, attack 'n Defense and Tower Defense. You start off on a single planet and your ultimate goal is to destroy the AI homeworlds. This is no simple comp stomp game however as you have to be strategical in what worlds you attack and conquer, as the AI gets more powerful with each planet taken. The Ai can be formidable in this game, easily trouncing the player if the player is not careful. Its a game based on strategic thinking over twitch control. Its also a very long game and is not for those who prefer a Starcraft style game that lasts 5 minutes. The developer is extremely active in the game's continued progress, releasing updates and content on a regular basis. It also doesn't hurt that the game has an awesome soundtrack.
There are others that have given me tons of fun. Like Portal 2 (Gifted by Othar) Honestly if you haven't played this game yet you should be shot. Everything about it is a work of genius. To combine narrative with puzzles is beyond comprehension. I've also enjoyed Space Marine, Gran Turismo 5, Persona 3 Portable. I was enjoy Falliout New Vegas till the Virus ate my computer. DeNihil giften me some DLC for it so I'll have plenty of reason to get back into it after I'm done with Skyrim.
Last but not least is my New Years resolution. I'm not going to wish on fantastical bouts of weight loss or monetary gain. This year I make a goal of doing more arts. I'd like to do 25 this coming year if I can or at the very least 1 a month. I guess next year this time we shall see.

Mini Rant
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I'm browsing arts. I tend to put the filter on female and then browse through species of interest. I begin to notice in some of the more obscure species, the characters in no way even reflect the species they are tagged as. (browse female then look up Xenomorph, you'll see what I mean)
One particularly bad offender is Xenomorph, aka the alien from the "Aliens" movie series. Looking at some of them, they look in no way like an Xeno. Why in the hell are you classifying them as an Xenomorph is they are nothing fucking like a Xenomorph. I wanna see the signature H.R Giger alien, or at least something that resembles one. Putting a spike on the end of your tail does not make you a Xenomorph. That is like putting a small puff of hair on Tezztor's head and calling him a bear.
I understand people like to mix and match their character but for the love of god be reasonable in labeling the species.

I've been wanting to commission for a while but I honestly find nobody worth commissioning. Not to sound at all self centered but honestly I want to commission somebody who can at least draw as good as me, but doesn't cost an arm and a leg. These qualifications simply do not exist. I'm not going to put out cash if I feel I can just draw it myself and I certainly do not wish to spend 40$ on something that's barely more then a lineart.
Another problem I have is finding an artist who draws in a style that I like. I don't like cute and I don't like happy. My character Tezztor is pissed off and only wants to gut out anything that gets in his way then strangle them with their own intestines. I like realism or semi realistic with a but of exaggerated fantasy feel to it. I like gritty and down to earth. Most artists I see only wish to draw cute shit or porn.
Sometimes I feel as if the only way I'm ever going to see art I like is if I draw it myself. Sad because I like to see other artists interpret my characters. As much as I may like it I've not really seen anybody who draws in a way I like. I've been searching for a while but it seems a lost cause

General | Posted 14 years agoGod damn I am so fucking sick of seeing this shit. Stupid little copy and paste characters with nary more then a color change. It makes me wanna gut the bastards who came up with them. I mean honestly, does the fandom go out of its way to show how unoriginal it can be? We are already plagued with stupid mindless dribble but lets make it worse by finding one of the most simple, brainless and now completely overused designs in creation.
Just ugggh and I thought I was tired of seeing characters standing around with their cocks/hyper boobs for all to see. I never thought the day would come when I would say I'd rather see the cocks. (though if I could have neither I'd be more then happy)

So yeah, Computer Fixed
General | Posted 14 years ago Its been quite a while but I managed to save up enough money to get my computer fixed. A nearly 300$ copy of Windows 7 Ultimate ensures I don't run into this problem ever again. Guess that's my punishment for having a... not so legal copy of Windows 7. However despite having fixed my computer the damage is already done, all my files were lost. Years of Art, all of Vitti's photos, hundreds of hours worth of video game save files ect. All gone.
Luckily for me I managed to find a job one week after my PC went down. It fueled fixing some things in my life prior to getting my PC fixed so some things about my existence are better then when I last reported in. With the exception being less free time but shit happens.
Good news is I'll be able to send out refunds now that I have access to my email and such again. So for those of you who had commissioned me, look forward to getting your money back most likely this week or early next depending on when time permits me to.
Its been a long rough road for me but life will go on. No doubt most have moved on since my departure and sadly that is the final item of interest that I must bring up. The spark of artistic passion is gone from me for good. Two months of no access to my digital art tools (And thus no obligations) has taught me that I actually prefer NOT drawing. I felt relieved when the nagging sting of owing people art was removed. I enjoyed the prospect of not drawing. I know all too well that for me to be where I want to be artistically I'd have to really practice for a while. To be honest I don't think I can do it. Practicing when its something you like to do regularly is one thing but when you hate to even think about picking up your tablet pen its a sign that maybe your into the wrong hobby.
I'm no where near as good as I wish I was and that makes every art I do a disappointment. After a while you begin to loose interest because all you do is fail to realize the magic you see in your mind. If art is expression then surely I suffer some artistic mental disorder because I cannot seem to translate what I envision into an art piece. I dream too big for my own good. So really what I'm saying in short is that you will not see anymore art from me here at FA. I'm resigning from my position. I'll always be Tezztor but you will just never see him as I see him.
The last art I was working on was a piece for Yelleena which I must say I am disappointed I'll never get to finish as I liked the direction the art was taking. Sure it failed miserably against my mental picture but it was still coming along well. Luckily I still have a preview I had saved thanks to emailing it to myself.

It will sadly never be finished now. I had meant to go back and fix her belly to make it not quite as built. Shes a sith and she was supposed to be holding a lightsaber whose beam I hadn't gotten to adding at the time of this save. The background was rudimentary more for a guideline at the time. Still I think it had promise. Ah well, lost opportunity.
Anyways refunds will be going out, no more arts. Thanks to all who showed me some kindness during my tenure here at FA as both Dispsosaurus and Vitticeps. Sorry to all you who waited for an art you will never get now. Goodbye

Out of Commission
General | Posted 14 years agoUntil further notice I will not be online. No not for drama's sake. My computer was hit with the "Windows 7 Total Security Virus" A nasty piece of software that pretty much makes a computer unusable. Without a legit copy of Windows 7 to format with, I'll have to wait till I can aquire one. I'm writing this from the library.
The biggest pain about this is all that I stand to loose due to it. Not the least of it being every art I've ever done. All the pictures of Vitti I had, and every photoshop file I had. Iron Artist Refunds

It has become blatantly clear that I will never get my artistic spark back. Part of the reason I was doing the Iron Artist to begin with was to try and get myself back into the swing of doing arts and maybe even like it again. Sadly this is no longer the truth. No matter how hard I try I can not get the need to draw. Its gets to the point I will do anything and everything to procrastinate from arting.
Its just not right that you all should have to wait for me after having had enough faith to pay for it. I'll still keep my art list and draw as I can but I will not make you all suffer a monetary loss for my lack of artistic drive.
I'm really sorry to all those who commissioned. Trust that you will get your money back. On the bright side you will get an even better price then 3$... free

New Views Milestone and Ect
General | Posted 15 years ago So first off I have a new milestone as far as views are concerned. I typically look at my views/favs ect to see which of my arts is the most popular and it would see one of my simplest arts is also my most popular. The same art that was the first to break my 200 view milestone is also the first to break my 300 view milestone. So yay for Sarnak Tradeskills!

My first iron artist art is almost done. its a long long overdo art that I owe Yelleena so I hope that she likes it. I've worked on it as much as I could the past week given the fact I had company over. (My Mate)
It came to mind the fact that her art has a background and I just wanted to point out to those who paid for an Iron Artist art from me that the first 10 or so arts on the list are arts I had promised prior to the challenge. Some of them may have backgrounds and such as they are not part of the ruleset the Iron Artist Commissions were.
I don't want anybody to think I am cheating them I just wanted to make it clear. All those who commissioned an art from me for the IA challenge will get exactly what I had promised. When I promise somebody something in an art, paid or non, I give my best to it. You will get the best I can produce for whatever it is you asked for.
My art takes a bit longer to do then most people because I'm such a perfectionist but you will get it.
Lastly my love Zadia had run off back to her own pasture, aka her home. We spent an entire week together and I had the time of my life. In such a short time together we managed to get really close and I cannot imagine being without her. Sadly I will have to be till next we can be together. Heres some highlights from her visit :
* First off the most obvious being that she is the first girlfriend I have ever had physically with me. I've had a mate here and there online but never in person
* She posed and helped me with the anatomy for my picture of her and Tezztor together. That was a lot of fun on multiple levels.
* We got to visit a lot of places I haven't been to in a while. Being with somebody you love makes everything more exciting.
I figure I'll keep it simple at that. There are other things I'm not willing to mention or really don't feel like going into detail BECAUSE I'M LAZY.
I will miss you a lot Zadia.

This year I've been working really hard to do more arts. I really want to practice and get a ton of art out this year so in order to help me accomplish that goal. I am turning my art list of 10 into the iron artist challenge of 100. I know you all must think I'm crazy but this is the year I really art it up. So for the next year I will be working on nothing but the arts on my list. Time for me to get down to business.
What kind of art should you expect for your position? All those signing up for art on my Iron Artist challenge will receive a full drawn, fully colored and fully shaded art of their character with a simple colored background. Such as the following:

So I know what you all are thinking. I really want an art of my character but everywhere I look I have to pay bullshit prices for an art. 10$ for a sketch, 20$ for flat colored and even beyond. "Why do I have to pay so much when I just want an art of my character?" You may ask. Well the answer is simple, the world has gone fuckin crazy. I'm not the most widely known or the most skilled artist out there so what will you have to pay me for the before mentioned art?
THREE DOLLARS! That's right you heard me correctly. THREE DOLLARS for a fully colored and shaded art of your character with a simple background. Only 1$ for each additional character. You and a friend in a picture would cost less then a lot of people's icons. Now the planets have truly aligned. After all I'm not the best artist out there so why should you have to pay top dollar for it?
So lets recap for clarity sake :
3$ per slot (Max 5 slots)
+1$ per character (max 3 characters)
Not bad prices at any rate. You get an art for cheap and I get to practice and get my name out there.

* I will not create a character for you based on other's designs.

Goodbye 2010 - Year in Review
General | Posted 15 years ago So another year has finally come and gone. After graduating high school they seem to just flood away faster and faster to the point I can practically feel my bones going brittle within me. 2010 was an eventful year but also amongst the worst I've ever had. While there are a few things good that happened in it, such as getting the love of my life Vitti, most of it was complete shit. So to run off the beginning of this journal shit fest lets begin with a good and bad list of this year to recap:
THE GOOD:
* First and Foremost the best thing to happen this year was getting my precious little bearded dragon Vitti. He has been such a big part of my life. I admit I don't know how I ever lived without him to give me that spark and desire for life.
* I got to go to college and experience the "grandeur" it entails. While I was forced to quit early I did manage to make the Dean's List in my short time. I also met some cool people.
* My Mother was officially ruled clear of cancer after a recent operation.
* I made some new friends this year to add to my collection. l1zz4rd and zadia_horse Come on down! I suspect Zadia has the hots for me, shes a crazy one that.
THE BAD: ... here we go...
* First off I went to live in Oklahoma with a friend of eight years named Simon. its here where I got to try college and got Vitti. However we kept fighting and he turned out to be a douchebag in real life. I was forced to move back home thus wasting valuable money and quitting college.
* I had to quit College
* Love troubles, I've felt more hurt this year then I can ever remember feeling
* My great grandmother died at the age of 94.
* I lost several additional friends such as Tattooedheart, my eldest watcher that I didn't know prior to coming here.

* Money issues piling up. To take care of my Vitti I've had to sell my PS3, my Xbox 360, my DSi, My Nintendo Wii (Again), All my movies and a lot of my games. For anybody who knows me, I cherish my games more then anything save for Vitti.
* Another year alone. Will I ever find happiness?
Overall not a red letter year.
Next up I want to mention a few games that have been my favorites this year. As I mentioned I'm a game a holic to the very end and naturally this means I have a passion for them. Which ones are my favorites? I'll name the, describe why and link a trailer for each. If you can watch them in HD by all means do. Note that not all these games came out this year but I first played them this year
Mass Effect 2 PC - Without a doubt my favorite game this year. A continuation of the story from Mass Effect, the gameplay and characters in particular are superb. A real treat for all Bioware or Western RPG fans. Cinematic Trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLhptv1yYMU
Metro 2033 PC - a DX11 graphical showhorse and a beautifully atmospheric game. based on a russian novel of the same name. It has players roaming the metros of a post nuclear apocalyptic russia. Patapon 2 PSP - A fun side scrolling style game where you lead armies not with direction or commands, but with the beat of drums! Different drum combinations make your army do different things and its up to you to use the right beat to lead your people to victory. Despite is cutesy exterior its quite a fun and addicting game. The Witcher PC - An RPG baed on the story of a witcher named Geralt, a monster hunter of sorts. Featuring some good choice making and combat. One of my favorites this year all together. Cinematic Intro - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVAHVaqcpyc

Now for music, like many artists music is my fuel and my passion. It keeps me going while I art it up. I won't go into a long Spiel here but I will list the top ten played songs according to my Itunes.

A New Years wouldn't quite be a new years without a New Year's resolution! My New Years Resolution for 2011 is to loose as much weight as possible but ultimately my goal is to be under 250 again for the first time in a very long time. I'm going to bring sexy back!

THE GOOD:
* First and Foremost the best thing to happen this year was getting my precious little bearded dragon Vitti. He has been such a big part of my life. I admit I don't know how I ever lived without him to give me that spark and desire for life.
* I got to go to college and experience the "grandeur" it entails. While I was forced to quit early I did manage to make the Dean's List in my short time. I also met some cool people.
* My Mother was officially ruled clear of cancer after a recent operation.
* I made some new friends this year to add to my collection.

* First off I went to live in Oklahoma with a friend of eight years named Simon. its here where I got to try college and got Vitti. However we kept fighting and he turned out to be a douchebag in real life. I was forced to move back home thus wasting valuable money and quitting college.
* I had to quit College
* Love troubles, I've felt more hurt this year then I can ever remember feeling
* My great grandmother died at the age of 94.
* I lost several additional friends such as Tattooedheart, my eldest watcher that I didn't know prior to coming here.

.... ANYWAYS. I am feelings charitable as I said and am going to take requests for art! I know what your thinking, "Holy freaking horse nipples Tezz, you've never given anything free to anybody!" Its true! I really don't but no longer. For this one instance in time where the planets have aligned I am offering limited art requests slots for you all to beg for.
EDIT: This is a chance for y'all to get some free art without having to pay ridiculous commission prices
So before I get tied up and hauled off to the bin for going batshit crazy I want you all to know what your getting yourselves into.
* What you get will depend on what I want to draw. In the end its up to me but you can throw ideas if you like
* I will not draw cub or scat
* I reserve the right to reject a request or quit a piece I have not finished at anytime.
* They will be done on a first come first serve basis unless I specifically wanna go out of order.
* They will get finished at my pace.
* I'd not be offended at all if you wished to do an art trade instead.
* If you cannot provide an adequate reference, written or visual, I WILL take liberties to fill in the blanks. So if there is something you think I should know, you best make it known. I don't want to hear any complaining if you fail to inform me completely.
* The quality of the art will vary depending on how I feel and how well I'm able to draw something. Its nothing personal
