Redlight Week coming soon
General | Posted 8 years agoI've been focusing a lot on canon stories over at Vivavulpes but Vivaredlight will be getting a lot of posts soon. I'm planning a Redlight Week, similar to the Redlight Month event from last year. Lots of Colmaton and Tarrenwood pics to post and some enticing storylines to go with them. Coming soon!
Ramping up the writing - Your help would be much appreciated
General | Posted 8 years agoHello Again
It's been over a year since my last journal and a lot has happened since then. Life has been very tumultuous for me with a lot of changes, some of which have unfortunately impacted my efficiency in getting out stories and posting pics. I want that to fix that.
I have many story ideas queued up both for the Colmaton superhero universe as well as some series over here at VivaRedlight and I've felt bad to have been lagging behind a little in the canon timeline. In order to catch up, I need something I admittedly sometimes lack when it comes to projects - discipline. A set schedule to which I can be held accountable. For that, I humbly ask your help.
My Request
Without getting too much into my personal life at the moment, I have the time and the availability right now both to write and to perhaps use my need for discipline to give back to some very worthwhile charities. My goal is to write for 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, to start. To keep my motivation and discipline high, I want to be held accountable to all of you who read my stories. But I don't want donations for me personally...I want to work for charity.
Here are ways you can help:
1. Donate any amount you want using my Donate button below. 100 percent of your donation will go to the biweekly charity organization I've chosen (a new charity every two weeks). You may also request to have your donation go to another organization of your choosing. Every 25 total USD donated will mean another 1,000 words per week I will write, on top of the 4 hours per day.
2. You can commission a story from me at a flat rate of 10 USD per 1,000 words, story not to exceed 4,000 words.
It All Goes to Charity
I would like to reiterate that 100 PERCENT of your donations will go to charity. I keep nothing from this. My goal is both to increase my writing output and hopefully use something I know how to do to help out groups in need. To ensure that I'm on the level, I will keep a running tally on my most current journal of all donations (anonymously if you wish), and at the end of each two week period, I will post a screenshot of my receipt from the organization's website after the donation has been made.
Keep Colmaton stories coming and help out charities at the same time. Every little bit counts, whether you can donate 5 dollars or 50, every dollar helps.
The First Charity
From today until August 22nd, 2017, the charity I will be collecting for is the ASPCA, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It's a fantastic organization for animal lovers and they do great work. It's easy, just click the Donate button below and input your amount. You don't need a Paypal account to do so.
-
This is my first time trying anything like this, so I appreciate any feedback or suggestions if you have any concerns or questions. Thank you in advance for any help you may wish to provide.

Redlight Month finished!
General | Posted 9 years agoAnd with the final picture of Redlight Month posted, we bid farewell to 30 straight days of posts, pictures, and stories.
When I started Redlight Month, I didn't know if I'd be able to keep up a whole month of a story every day but I'm happy to say that it was a big success, thanks to some help. Many thanks to
gamegod210 for guest writing several stories and his overall support and contributions to VivaRedlight. Also my thanks to the Colmaton group in general for this fantastic creative atmosphere,
wolfrider for collaborations that saw the creation of villains like Sandstalker, the Silverwings, and more,
sam-gwosdz for bouncing around ideas and letting Miracle come out and play in VivaRedlight, all of the artists for their wonderful work, particularly
mosa and
theboundraccoon for working closely with us and putting up with my nitpickiness.
Also thank you to all those who faved, commented, and followed. I hope you enjoyed this month and continue to enjoy submissions here on VivaRedlight. I was happy to see the positive response to Teria and the Tarrenwood setting, so you can certainly expect more of that in the future as well.
I welcome any feedback as to what you liked or didn't like, what your favorite pics and stories were, what could be improved upon, or what you'd like to see more of in the future.
Thank you all once again.

Now open for writing commissions!
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm very happy to announce that I'm opening up for writing commissions!
If you choose to commission me for a story or editing service, rest assured that you're hiring someone with fifteen years of writing experience, a published book, and a BA in English and Literature. I have a passion for writing and will give your commission the dedication every story deserves.
Please see the outline below for all the necessary information.
-
What I Offer:
- Fiction featuring anthropomorphic characters, fantasy and mythological creatures, and humans. If your characters don't fall into one of those categories, contact me for clarification, but it most likely will not be an issue. If you wish to use any of my characters, that is also possible.
- Short story accompaniments for pictures.
- Editing services.
- General, mature, or adult ratings.
- I'm open to many different themes and settings. Please see below for lists of what I'm most experienced with, what I will do, and what I will not do.
Areas in Which I'm Most Experienced:
-Superhero
-Fantasy
-Sci-Fi
-Action
-Drama
-Certain adult themes, mostly revolving around bondage. See the submissions here on
Vivaredlight to get an idea of the themes I'm familiar with.
I Will Also Write:
-Romance
-M/F. F/F, and M/M pairings
-Open to ideas. Don't hesitate to ask.
Subjects I Will Not Do:
Cub, watersports, bestiality, feral, scat, snuff. Exclusions are not limited to this list. Feel free to contact me with any questions on whether the subject matter you wish to commission is accepted.

Stories:
This category is for those who wish to commission a story of any custom length. Whether you want a single scene of two thousand words or a full three-act adventure of twenty thousand (or more) words, I can write the story you desire.
The price for this category is $0.015 per word (one and a half cents USD per word). I charge per word rather than per page to help eliminate variables. With variations in format, spacing, and the content of dialogue heavy page as opposed to a page heavy in action, this helps to assure that you get the most for your money. Included in the price is an outline of the story before writing has begun and editing after it's been completed.
To get the ball rolling, send me a note or email with your story idea and the word count you'd like to shoot for. If you're uncertain of word count and are more comfortable planning in terms of page number, I can give you an estimated word count based on that.
You can find samples of my writing in my gallery, but if you'd like a sample from a specific genre or featuring a specific theme, I'll be happy to send one to you.
Payment:
Half the cost of your total desired word count is required in advance. You will then be given a preview of the commission, which can be several paragraphs to several pages depending on the length of your commission. Consider this the “sketch” phase. You can request modification in dialogue, characterization, setting, anything that you'd like different. This is how I'll know whether I'm writing your characters and setting to your satisfaction. You will then receive half of the full commission once that has been completed. At this point, the remaining cost of the commission is required. You are guaranteed to receive the word count you asked for, and if I go over, there is no cost to you. Once the story is completed, you will receive it as a Word document, RTF, or another format of your choosing.
I accept Paypal or money orders.
You can put a “Rush” on your order for a rate of $.02 per word.
Refunds:
If no work has been done on the story yet and you decide to cancel, you will receive a full refund. Otherwise, you will receive a refund minus the word count already written.
-
Picture accompaniments:
I've commissioned many pictures and one thing I love doing is adding a short written accompaniment for them. Context enhances a picture and creates a complete scene. For a set price, I will write an accompaniment for your original or commissioned picture. Just send me a link to the picture, the scene you'd like done, as well as references for any characters.
Prices for this category go by flat rates rather than per word:
1 – 1,000 words $15
1,000 – 2,000 words $20
Anything higher will count as a story commission and be priced as such.
-
Editing:
I've held several jobs as an editor in the past and have experience both creating and editing works of fiction, from technical and grammatical accuracy to the nuances of plot and character structure. You can be certain that if you purchase my editing services, your story will receive care and attention from someone passionate about writing and experienced in the field.
Editing services come in three flavors:
Critique – I will read your story twice through and compile a report (typically several pages) of my observations, reactions, and suggestions. I'll tell you what I liked, what I didn't, and give you thorough reasons for each point. No changes will be made to the text.
1 – 10,000 words $20
10,000 – 20,000 words $30
Copy Edit – Rather than focus on the content of the story like in a critique, a copy edit aims squarely at the technical side. A copy edit will correct formatting, grammar, typos, text accuracy, and errors such as shifts in perspective. This option will not include any kind of commentary on the story content itself.
1 – 10,000 words $20
10,000 – 20,000 words $30
Full Edit – This is the full editing package, including the services offered in both the Critique and Copy Edit options.
1 – 10,000 words $30
10,000 – 20,000 $50
Higher word count will be priced on a case by case basis.

Coming up next on VivaRedlight
General | Posted 11 years agoIt's been a fun grand opening for VivaRedlight, with the multi-chapter picture stories Hunting Trophies, Bait for the Trap, and Business and Pleasure, as well as several standalone picture stories. I'm very happy to see the positive response these projects have received and my sincere thanks to you all for your interest.
So what's next?
- A new picture series featuring the Tarrenwood mage Teria, who's found herself in trouble a couple times before, will see her clashing again with the medieval fantasy world's villainous enemies.
- With a number of requests for further storylines featuring the evil twin concept, this picture will now be the launching point of a full picture series starring five Colmaton heroines! Expect more great art from
mosa and a full story.
- War Wolf and Spectra find themselves in a tight spot with a reposting of a couple old Vivavulpes pics with one new one, to create a new short series.
Thank you once again for visiting VivaRedlight and I hope you enjoy what's to come!
