I've added Starlight Express, Hellaverse, and DnD inspired charms, as well as assorted kandi (they're fun to make hehe) and other resin charms! Planning to add fandom kandi soon-ish, once I decide on which to do c: Also currently working on some premade fursuit tails as well, which will be added once they're all done!

Small Life Update!
Posted 4 months agoHeyo! Haven't mentioned it much, but I left my old job (on good terms, I genuinely am still friends with several people from that lab and we still talk). I had about a week off, then started my new job in mid-April about a week ago c: Doing more lab stuff, just a slightly different division/type of work!
I took the new job because it offered me a $5+ an hour raise, better benefits, and just generally a less stressful/not corporate environment. It'll also give me enough time off and money to save up for my Japan trip between now and the trip itself (late next year) c: I'm still learning and training, so I'm stumbling a bit but I'm picking things up bit by bit! Still got a ways to go but so far, I'm enjoying learning new stuff and working with my new lab mates c:
That said, I'm still getting used to being on my feet all day again and the hours/workloads, so I might take some more breaks from drawing/posting much until I get used to everything. I've got some stuff backlogged, which I'll still be posting, but once I'm out of that, just don't be too shocked if I slow down a bit for a short while. I'm alright, promise! Pretty happy overall! Just tired lol

Deleted Some Old Art + Where Else to Find Me
Posted 10 months agoDespite the fact I haven't really even drawn ANY babyfur anything in like, a year or more (probably more tbh), went through my ENTIRE gallery all the way back to 2016 when I started uploading to FA and deleted anything I didn't trust FA not to ban me for :/ for the record, the absolute worst thing was a wet diaper, but still. I don't trust the site rules not to suddenly take issue with my art style making characters look younger or chibi styled pieces getting dinged for the same reasons. So I torched anything with wetting or even things like a scuff on a sketch that could be misconstrued. Most of what got the torch was from pre-2019/2020 anyways so not recent really anyways; old art, old styles, old ideas.
I'm not full on leaving FA; call it sunk cost or whatever you want. I draw/make/write what I want and rate it as it should be, but if things change, then all I can do is roll with the punches. FA is an archive for me, I mostly post here to have a gallery/place to put my work besides the nebulous 'Art Junk' file on my desktop. End of the day, I still have the 'original' files ofc, even if sites slowly no longer want to host certain things over time. If I draw anything else babyfur, it'll be fit to the guidelines, no choice on that, but expect it to be a rare occurrence in general. I'd rather not dance with fire and wind up next on the ban list.
Because if my account DOES somehow wind up banned, I won't be coming back tbh. That said, here's other places you can find me and contact me:

CFF cancelled + storm update
Posted 11 months agoAs anyone who was supposed to attend Carolina Furfare has probably heard by now, the con was cancelled for 2024, so I will not be doing anything for it after all. Reg is being rolled to 2025 or to Bewhiskered 2025, but tbh I have no idea if we'll go since we'd planned on not doing ANY cons or traveling next year to save for our Japan trip instead. We'll see how things turn out next year I suppose. Since we already had the PTO approved and it's too short notice to do much else, we decided to kinda just chill at home and have a little 'staycation' instead. C': Salvage what we could of the weekend. Gonna go see Transformers One on Friday and to RenFest on Sunday, so not a total waste of time off at least!
In regards to the storm aftermath, we finally heard from my family (who were in a somewhat remote/far west part of NC) on Sunday afternoon; everyone is safe! They said they didn't even lose power, surprisingly, and my cousin's home has Starlink so once they got that back up we got ahold of them. The river/lake near my neighborhood is still pretty high and the main bridge out of town is still closed out of precaution, but we're fine enough. Water levels are going down as the lakes' levels are monitored and dams controlled, but it's a very very slow process.
That said, Western NC and Appalachia in general have been and are still suffering badly. Please think of them and if you can, donate to the various aid/relief funds being set up and run through the region. If you're near a donation center and can (safely) offer water/other supplies, please consider doing so. Anything is better than nothing! At the very least, I ask that you keep everyone affected by the storm in your thoughts, as cliche as that may sound. I don't make a habit of asking for help, for myself or really much of anything, but a lot of these places are very special to not just me, but my family and thousands of other families and generations of people, and I can't in good faith not at least TRY to get more eyes on this.

Storm is over, I'm safe

Had no power for a day and half as we were in the path of Hurricane Helene (not the worst of it but still), roads are still closed around us and water is still high but we’re safe! 💜 kept busy drawing in my sketchbook and reading by flashlight. My state is dealing with AWFUL flooding and there’s dams that broke in the mountains, whole towns are underwater/gone, so please keep them in your thoughts where you can ;;; I may not live in the mountains, but it’s a place I care deeply about and several places there mean A LOT to me. It breaks my heart to see places I love destroyed and ravaged by the storm 💔

On Breaks and Self Reflections
Posted a year agoI'm usually bad about posting journals, but I wanted to spill some thoughts for once. Read this if you want, or don't, it's just some things I've realized lately.
Some of you might have noticed, some of you may not have, but I stopped posting stuff for around three weeks. Now sure, someone being busy or otherwise occupied isn't unheard of, but that wasn't really the case for me. I sort of went on hiatus by accident? It wasn't planned, but it WAS needed, as I came to realize.
Over the last few weeks/months leading up to this impromptu break, I'd started to have this weird feeling about my art, my drawings specifically. But I couldn't quite articulate what exactly was bugging me. Was it colors or anatomy or style? Content? Fanart vs OCs, etc? I honestly could not figure it out, and it sucked. It made me not wanna draw, for myself or anyone else. I stopped drawing and picked up some of my other artsy hobbies for a bit instead, hoping it'd reset things, and to an extent, it did. I started playing an old file of Pokemon Moon again, watched some documentaries, did some organizing, even practiced skating, etc. I've never been one to sit still; I need to do SOMETHING with my free time. That something just needed to NOT be drawing for a while. Worked on a cosplay, did a lot of journaling, wound up getting Stardew Valley too when it went on sale. I completely stopped doing ANYTHING art/craft related for a solid week (played games and wrote instead during that week).
And... it worked. The fog dissipated and things made sense again. I WANTED to draw again, I wanted to turn my tablet back on, I wanted to finish wips again. So I started sketching traditionally to ease back into it, and somehow that made things pick up steam. I still didn't feel fully like posting again, but I had my drive back; I had drawing ideas, I had plans for character designs, I had prompts. We live in a world that stresses you be always online, always active, always available, always "on". And I've come to realize (maybe later than I should have) that I don't want or need that. I am ALLOWED to take breaks, I am ALLOWED to be in the moment, I am ALLOWED to take time for myself. I do not need to post constantly and that's fine! I've always found I'm happiest when creating for myself or those close to me, not to feed a post quota or garner attention online (and let's be honest, my numbers aren't breaking any records anyways lol).
The break was a reset, yes, but it also served to remind me of that. And I think I can go forward now with that sentiment and do better for myself!
Some of you might have noticed, some of you may not have, but I stopped posting stuff for around three weeks. Now sure, someone being busy or otherwise occupied isn't unheard of, but that wasn't really the case for me. I sort of went on hiatus by accident? It wasn't planned, but it WAS needed, as I came to realize.
Over the last few weeks/months leading up to this impromptu break, I'd started to have this weird feeling about my art, my drawings specifically. But I couldn't quite articulate what exactly was bugging me. Was it colors or anatomy or style? Content? Fanart vs OCs, etc? I honestly could not figure it out, and it sucked. It made me not wanna draw, for myself or anyone else. I stopped drawing and picked up some of my other artsy hobbies for a bit instead, hoping it'd reset things, and to an extent, it did. I started playing an old file of Pokemon Moon again, watched some documentaries, did some organizing, even practiced skating, etc. I've never been one to sit still; I need to do SOMETHING with my free time. That something just needed to NOT be drawing for a while. Worked on a cosplay, did a lot of journaling, wound up getting Stardew Valley too when it went on sale. I completely stopped doing ANYTHING art/craft related for a solid week (played games and wrote instead during that week).
And... it worked. The fog dissipated and things made sense again. I WANTED to draw again, I wanted to turn my tablet back on, I wanted to finish wips again. So I started sketching traditionally to ease back into it, and somehow that made things pick up steam. I still didn't feel fully like posting again, but I had my drive back; I had drawing ideas, I had plans for character designs, I had prompts. And that was probably the bigger part of it, but not all of it.

Wedding + Megaplex 2023!
Posted 2 years agoI've been busy with a lot lately! So here's a quick update on what I've been doing c:
With ArtFight wrapping up soon, that'll be one less thing, but in August, my longtime partner and I are officially getting married! We're having a small ceremony at home with just family, but are still excited ;w; I've been dealing with all the prep for that as well as sorting out all the details for the ceremony itself (decor, who stands where, etc.) so I apologize if I've seemed a bit all over the place in recent months. I've been stressed about it all, but I'm still so excited to finally get it done after a (not so much on purpose) long engagement! C:
As for art, I'm actually going to be posting all my stuff from ArtFight here in the coming weeks! I just tend to prefer keeping everything sorted til the end to keep track of what's posted where so I can't miss anything. I've got nearly 50 pieces to get posted in the near future, so expect those to start showing up a few at a time soon! I've also been slowly chipping away at finishing Cinna and painting my Ubersaw prop, so that will show up as well soon enough! Cinna is nearly done and will debut at Megaplex 2023, as will my new Ubersaw c:
Speaking of Megaplex, Zephur and I will be attending the con in full as well as hosting an enamel pin trading panel at the con! I'm planning to bring Cinna as well as a few cosplays, including a summer themed version of my TF2 Medic cosplay! I'll likely put out more info as the con gets closer and post a convention meme too c: The trip to Megaplex and some other places is going to basically be our honeymoon <3 We're both very much looking forward to not just that, but a long vacation in general as work's been busy for us both. We need a break lol.
I'm looking forward to the next few months, even if I'm a bit nervous/a little stressed for now ;;

Update AGAIN
Posted 3 years agoWeird surprise, Zephur took the card out of his desktop since he isn't using it much for now and slapped it into my case, so I sort of have a setup again! It's a little wonky looking and very much patched together, but hey I can draw again. Hopefully it holds and my original card comes back in a decent timeframe!

Posted 3 years agoDesktop is still down and will be for a while more because surprise, my graphics card has to be sent to fuckin IRELAND APPARENTLY??? So now I’m stuck waiting longer and with no rough idea on when it’ll be back. I have sketches and stories and things to post, hell i have a BACKLOG for once, but fuck’s sake, can’t post anything for a while more.
Hopefully something happens soon but honestly i’m beyond over this shit.

Posted 3 years agoSorry for further delays, my graphics card has been sent out for diagnostics so my desktop has been down/will be down for a while. on the bright side, i will have SO MANY sketches to line and color once i can use it again! Plus some other stuff to post like Cinna’s tail, journal pages, FWA badges, etc. i also have several stories to post to my AO3 as well!

Posted 3 years agoWe're finally in the last stretch of moving into our new house! It's our last week living in the apartment and the movers come in a few days to grab the last of the stuff. My desktop is gonna get packed up probably mid week/Thursday and I dunno yet when we'll have internet set back up at the new place. Things may be slow for a while for that and as we settle in. I will also temporarily be closing my Etsy shop after Thursday until we have internet and the printer set back up, so please grab things now if you had your eye on something!
