Title mostly. Zephur and I recently closed on a house and are in the process of moving and generally getting things ready! I'm super excited to get into my new workspace and get everything set up how I want it, however it's going to take time. I may not post as much for a few weeks while we get things sorted out. My PC, drawing tablet, and sketchbook will be some of the last things packed up so I do still plan to write and sketch but may not post things are often or when I actually finish them! You would need to be able to draw human characters though and I know that isn’t everyone’s strong point (definitely not mine, or I’d draw him myself)!

Sorry for the kinda spam, I've been super busy between finishing owed trades and personal art, a Secret Santa, prepping for Ichibancon, and sorting out my shop and pin trades! I've been drawing but just putting off actually uploading ;; sorry again! I still have more but I think I'm gonna try to stick to posting small handfuls at a time, so you guys'll see like 4-6 things within like 10 minutes and then it'll be chill again. I have a lot of work to do (which admittedly I've put on myself) but I'm excited for the conventions I have planned for 2022 and I'm hoping things go well! The shop will be updated after Ichibancon because I plan to take a bunch of my shop with me to the con.

Speaking of the shop, I'm trying to clear the old inventory a bit so the entire shop will be 25% off December 26-January 11! There is no minimum order amount and all items qualify! If there's something you wanted, I suggest grabbing it then for a discount, as I can't guarantee it'll be there after the con!

The shop will be CLOSED/on vacation mode temporarily during and following the con (Januray 13-16) to allow me time to re-inventory everything, edit listings, and add newer stuff in! It will enter vacation mode January 12 2022 and is planned to reopen January 22/23 depending on how much I need to work on.

Keep an eye on the shop if there's something you had your eye on! All orders placed before the shop closes will be shipped out before the con.

Heads up if I get a bit quiet over the next few months, I'm attending Ichibancon in about 4 weeks and also working on a partial of Cinna! The furs and such are here, so I'll be starting her tail and hand paws/arm sleeves while I wait for the head base to come in from Fuzzbutt Fursuits c: I'm also still working on the stuff mentioned in my previous journal, so it's just a busy time lately!

Sorry for the sporadic posting/wonky scheduling, but the lab gets busy towards end of year and work has been eating a lot of my time!

I also have a lot of things in the works (6 ref sheets for some new and current characters of Zephur's, 4 of which I still need to sketch oof) that I'm trying to work through. I'm also working on a custom design and two pin variants for Zephur.

As you guys know, we both collect Fursona Pins (and other enamel pins of course!) and they recently had a giant Black Friday sale where they also had several adoptable designs for sale. Each design came with 25 pins and character rights to the design, so I'm working on refs for our new characters! We got lucky and managed to nab a handful of them, 2 of each type! I have 2 gryphons, while Zephur has 2 dragons and 2 kirins. I've actually finished my gryphon's refs, but still need to do refs for the kirins and dragons. So those refs are taking much of my time, but are not the only thing I have in the works. There were also auctions that weekend and Zephur won a custom pin slot and picked Meiji (his Fennom, Molten Lava Cake) for his pin! The quantity of pins allows variants, so he's settled on carrot cake and red velvet versions, which I'll be helping him design. I also won (split) an auction win with someone and am collaborating with them to make a mad scientist themed pin! I have colors to work on for that.

I am trying to get some backlogged stuff posted in the meantime while I work on all this, but just know that I'm still here, it's just a biiiit chaotic haha!

FOR ANYONE ATTENDING ICHIBANCON 2022:

Myself and Zephur will be attending for the full weekend, arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday afternoon/evening!

-in the Art Fair on Thursday with our pins, perler bean sprite art, resin charms, some small plushes, and more! I will also be offering at-con sketches and lineart drawings c:
-possibly stopping by the CCG Market on Friday, as I have old Pokemon cards I don't need anymore

Hey all, sorry I've been a bit busier last few weeks! A lot has happened in that time!


Zephur and I went to visit his family after not seeing them since before the pandemic (we were all vaccinated, finally). We stayed with them a few days and took some time to relax as they live on a barrier island near the beach! We walked down to the beach a few times while there (between the rain/storms Florida is known for at least) and I collected some small shells. I used to collect them as a kid so there was something kind of nostalgic about it c: I didn't swim but I was more than happy just walking along the water and watching the seabirds and crabs skitter about! His mom took us out shopping one of the days and we hung out around the house when it rained. We also went to the weird place called Bucee's that I can only describe as being something like a CostCo, a QT, and a Cracker Barrel had an orgy. Weirdass place but they had good food and snacks! I got a pina colada flavored slushie because I'd never seen that flavor before; was surprisingly good despite being a bit more pineapple than coconut! Wednesday came around and we headed to Orlando for Megaplex!


The drive down wasn't too bad, hit some traffic and it threatened to rain but luckily never did. We got there in late afternoon and tossed everything into the room before going out to check out the hotel. The place was actually a full on resort, which neither of us realized at first! Who expects a furry convention to be at a resort ten minutes from Disney??? Definitely a nice surprise, especially since the room and area were really nice and not terribly expensive. The pool had a waterfall and slide in it! We didn't want to run around more than we had to, so we ate cheeseburgers from a restaurant on site and watched the Olympics in the room. Come Thursday, badge pickup wasn't starting until 6pm, so with time to kill, we headed out to get some extra supplies and then off to Disney Springs, a big shopping/entertainment area!


Now I knew of Disney Springs, but had never been. I had seen some info about it on the map while coming into town and saw some shops I was curious about. I figured it could be a good way to knock out some time. We get there, and it's MASSIVE, way bigger than I expected! Grabbed a guidemap and off we went! I wound up getting some Disney pins, candy, and some bath stuff for myself! Zephur got even more pins! Did you know that Disney has a Florida-themed mascot? It's a little orange (both the color and the fruit) themed bird! I very nearly got a big plush of him c: We had some pretzels and frozen lemonades for lunch and by that time, we were tired and headed back to the hotel.


It was still not time for reg, so we went down to the pool for a bit! The water was actually kind of cold because it had rained overnight/the day prior and been cloudy most of the day, so I didn't get into the water, just sat with my legs in the water. Zephur went down the slide and said it was fun but also freezing! We hung around until about 4 or so before heading back to the room to get some food and wait for reg to open.


When it was finally our turn, we headed down to get in line! We ran into a bunch of people from our fur groups and chats (Zephur saw his Tally Fur buddies, I ran into some Charlotte Furs, we met up with some people from the FP chats) and hung out and talked for a while since Thursday's programming didn't start til later. Zephur talked me into going to Bingo Night (cruise themed con, of COURSE there was Bingo lol) and so that's how we finished the evening! Sadly didn't win but was still nice!


Friday was by far the biggest/best day for several reasons. There were a few panels I was interested in, most notably the Enamel Pin Trading Panel hosted by FP staff and Uncle Kage's Story Hour later that night! The pin trading panel was an absolute blast! I got to meet up with a bunch of friends from chat (shoutout to Wave, you're great!) and trade all sorts of pins for all sorts of other pins! I must have wound up with at least 20 new pins by the end of all of it! A very successful trade session! Kage's Story Hour was great too! Hilarious stories, despite the fact that with no cons lately he didn't have many new furry/con related stories. Later in the night I convinced Zephur to come see Alkali and Pepper's panel, which worked and would up being absolute hilariously dumb! Kage showed up to mess with them of course, and things got real insane, real fast! We couldn't stop laughing! I'm sure someone was filming so you can probably find it on Youtube at some point! Wave had headed home by that point, so Zephur and I called it quits and headed back to the room, where he offered me some of the candy I'd bought the other day.


It was late at night, like 11, so I kinda gave him a look like "why??" but he insisted. I humored him and picked up the thing, kind of flipping it around sarcastically and noticed a paper taped to the bottom of it. It was the first in a set of clues for a scavenger hunt, since he likes setting stuff up like that for my birthday and such. I thought he'd hidden something he bought me; he'd mentioned earlier that he got me something in the Dealer's Den but wouldn't tell me what it was, so I thought it was for that. Followed the clues, found them all, put together the little puzzle. The final clue said "I have one last question and I need you to answer it! Match up the letters on each of these clues!"


The question was "Will you marry me?"


I looked up in shock to see him sitting on the couch in holding a ring box <3 It was goofy, it was silly, and it was cheesy and totally him and I couldn't have asked for a better proposal <3 It was just us two in our room, no weird audience or extra attention or special event. Just us, which is all I wanted c: Of course I said yes <3 Which was the perfect way to end our Friday.


Saturday was our last day at the con, as we had to be home Sunday for work Monday. I told my friends, Wave, Strat, Mel about the proposal (because apparently he'd set it up early Friday morning and I had nearly blown it at one point when three of us went to the room for snacks), attended a few more panels, and walked in the fursuit parade! I met a few suiters I'd seen before as well as Tavi who did my themed badges for this con! My favorite panel from Saturday was probably the babyfur panel because it was kinda chill but also part comedy show and the guy running it was great on stage! We got to color and just hang out. Some people even invited us to a room party that night, which might have been more tempting had we not had the 8 hour drive the following morning. It was still a fun experience though! After that, we got burgers again and headed back to the room. Zephur figured out the con was streaming the dance comp so I put it on my phone to watch while I caught up on my journaling, since I'd been to busy the last day or so to keep up. He went off to Madshy's Plush Bingo Bash panel and actually WON a cute soft pastel teddy bear! Which he prompted decided was mine lol. She's a cat and I've named her Cotton Candy <3


It was great to get away and take some time off, but I did miss my cat and being home. I'm glad to be back and settled in again! I'm hopeful that we'll see more cons, but we don't have any others planned yet save for Ichibancon 2022 (and even that's just the hotel currently, if things get bad again we won't be going/will cancel the room). We want to do FWA again, as we've been wanting to go back ever since 2018, but again, depends on the world situation right now. I hope things get better soon!

Convention plans!

Currently I am scheduled to attend Megaplex in August! With a little over a month til the con, I’m getting excited to see people again and be back in the convention atmosphere! I will be there Friday/Saturday mostly (leaving early Sunday for the long drive home) and plan to make the best of it! Hoping to have my new head finished by then c:

Closer to home, I am also planning on attending Ichibancon again! We already have the room reserved and will be putting in time off in the end of summer. I will be making/bringing things to sell in the Craft Fair as well as the ever fun Otaku Flea Market! I’ll (hopefully) have my Fursona Pins, Cinna and Rin Foxberry variant, by then so will have some available at the Craft Fair. I’ll also have plushes, resin charms, keychains, etc. just whatever I can make between now and then! For the Flea Market, I plan to bring a lot of my leftover Etsy stock (mostly a lot of pins haha), small figures, cosplays I no longer use, plushes, etc. just stuff I feel deserves a better home! I’m excited to go back to my home con again c:

Surprise, I'm headed to another fur con!

By some luck/accidentally-on-purpose vacation plans, Zephur and I will be attending Megaplex this year! We will already be in the area visiting family, so we decided to take the whole week off and do the con as well! We are both vaccinated, will be bringing/wearing masks, and will still be taking cautionary measures as, while our state is doing a bit better, Florida is still a bit of a cluster and I don't want to risk getting sick somehow/bringing something home to my coworkers or family here. If we meet, please don't be surprised/upset if I prefer to keep my mask on or not hug/touch/shake hands/etc. I would still love to chat, draw for you, trade, etc.! I'm actually thinking of setting up a sort of trading post type thing at Megaplex (in a lounge or something, dunno how the con is laid out yet) for people to trade things (pins, buttons, stickers, a really cool rock, etc.) for sketches and other art. I think it'd be a fun experiment since I didn't want to do Artist Alley and want to give people who maybe don't have as much spending money a chance to get a little something. We'll see if that idea comes to fruition! Obviously it'll be up to what staff says as well. If I wind up doing it/being able to do it, I'll post here or Telegram with updates, location, etc. c:

I'll have another post or so up before then probably, as I'd love to do art for con pickup if anyone's interested! I can do badges completely on my own at home, as I have a good printer, mini laminator, and all sorts of paper and cardstock for backings c: And more badge clips than I care to admit ;; I'll likely sketch some YCH style badges since that's a bit faster to do and will let me work on more at a time.

I'm also doing ArtFight again this year! You can find me there under the same user c: I tend to prioritize attacking the other team, and heavily do revenge attacks c:< I chained revenges with someone last year and by the end of it we'd each drawn like 3-4 pieces for the other! I like to dedicate a LOT of time to ArtFight to get a lot of art done for a lot of people, so other types of trades will likely decrease during the run of the event (month of July/early August if there's delays). Commissions will still take priority of course, but if I've got no comm work, expect a lot of different characters and types of art to show up!

Got my second Covid vaccine and it kicked my ass a bit and my left arm is still messed up pretty bad. It hurts to move it too much or lift it up past a certain point. Today is better than yesterday, yesterday I had a low grade fever and my whole body hurt. Today it’s just my arm that’s still in a lot of pain. Just haven’t had the energy to get on my laptop to post or draw much on my tablet. I had plans to finish redoing Klein and Miles’ refs but I wasn’t prepared for how much the second dose would affect me. My arm is going to be sore for some time, as the muscle and lymph node are still very swollen. I’ll hopefully be better next weekend and have more to post then!

Rin's Den is officially open!

Hey all, I'm back on the weekly upload schedule it seems!


I still do things during the week, but lately with the weather (yay for grey winter days :c bleh) I don't find the motivation to draw much. I might sketch or color something here and there but I tend to be really lazy in the week ;; whoops. I've got a BUNCH of resin things I need to finish putting straps and stuff on, then I'll get those posted hopefully this coming weekend?


And I've also started studying basic Japanese in preparation for a trip Zephur and I are planning for the future (whenever travel is a thing again at least)! I'm not very good but am making a decent bit of progress so far! He still had his textbook and a workbook from his college courses and let me borrow them c: He took three levels of Japanese while in school so he's helping me learn too. I can read hiragana and some katakana so far, and recognize a lot of nouns, numbers, etc. but am starting verbs too! So I'm hoping to keep studying and be conversational enough to get around Aomori without relying toooo much on Google Translate haha;;


Something I've kinda picked up as a result of us planning that trip is journaling, at least as a sort of planning for the trip! There's a shop that's opened up in one of our local malls that, in short, is basically like a mini dealer's room at an anime con. They have plushes, figures, blindboxes, snacks, etc. but they also have a table just for stationary and school supplies! So I'm using a notebook from there for my Japanese study and using a second bigger notebook as a trip planning journal! I've also fallen in love with all the different stationaries that exist out there and I may or may not have ordered a looot of sets ;; I might occasionally post pages from the journal here as well. The writing might not be super legible, but the writing also isn't super important as it's mostly background info on things to do with Japan, trip planning, ideas, etc. I'm just kinda proud of how I can lay out the pages and set things up c:


I've also started/returned to collecting blindbox/gacha/mystery bag type things again. Blindboxes and lucky bags are some of my favorite things to get at cons, but obviously with current events, cons haven't been happening. Luckily I've been able to find things in local shops and on Etsy and while it's not quite the same, it's still really fun to try my luck c: I currently collect whatever catches my attention, but specifically I like Sumikko Gurashi, Tokidoki, anything cat themed, and Cinnamoroll! But tbh I like a LOT of San-x and Sanrio characters! Those are just some of my favorites c: I'm still collecting enamel pins and Fursona pins as well, maybe I should post a picture of my boards at some point!
