Some new rules some people may not like.
General | Posted 11 years agoI want to state them here.
-You can not make an intersex volatikai. They are very rare, so I'd have to make one to adopt.
-Only pronouns used are he/she/they. Please do not use other pronouns for them (as this is their world, not our world. "They" includes everyone else anyways)
-Females only have small breasts, so do not draw large breasts on them. As such, that's a very rare trait if they were large, so I'd have to make one with larger breasts to adopt out.
A tricky one will be gay/bi volatikai (gay includes lesbians)... as they are a minority, but I do not want to limit people in that way.
Most likely specific kinds won't allow the volatikai to be gay/bi, while others are more likely.
For example, the more feral kinds will be heavily heterosexual, so those ones I may say it's not allowed to make one not straight (I'd have to make them), while others, like Arctic's, would be more likely to have gay/bi volatikai. Tropics will most likely have gay/bi ones as well.
I am NOT adding in other sexualities. The descriptors will only be straight, gay and bi. "Lesbian" won't even be a word. Gay goes for both males and females. (this does not mean, however, that you can't have your volatikai act like the other sexualities (depending on the type, of course). Those words just won't be used with describing them for their world.)
This will mean that there can't be any asexual volatikai made by you, as they'd be super rare.
Keep in mind that I heavily am using the non-human animal world as my base for a lot of the volatikai kinds. Some animals may have a higher rate of hetero/homo individuals, while others are heavily hetero. I am applying that to my species.
I want to avoid people making a bunch of volatikai that aren't true to their general nature.
(also, I'll get to the new people who want numbers soonish)

I'm trying to think of every scenario for what's okay and what's not okay still.
Is the red/green thing okay? Or is it confusing? I was just color coding things that were absolute yes' and no's. If that looks too weird I'll have them all as grey. xD;

Help/thoughts with rules
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm currently working on the rules... and some things I dunno what to do with, so I'd like your opinions.
ALSO, if you have any questions I can answer in the rules, please let me know!
These are the rules so far:
General rules:
-You must have a number by me in order to have a volatikai (for me to keep track of).
- If you make a story, it must be in their own world. You can draw them interacting with characters outside of their world, but they can’t LIVE in a different world.
- You don’t have to say they were made by me every time, but the first picture you post of them must be known they are my species.
- If someone compliments the design that is specific to what a volatikai is, you must make sure to tell them you didn’t come up with it.
-They can only produce offspring with humans and their own kind. Do not have them make offspring with other species.
Fur/Pattern rules:
-Do not make a volatikai completely furless. (should have at least 25% of fur on them)
-You can make one completely furred.
-Do not put complicated markings on them (examples: runes, geometric shapes, words, lacy markings... if it can't happen on a real animal, it can't happen on them.) If you want hearts or stars on them, they must look organic and not "perfect".
-Please refer to the individual types to see what is most common for patterns and fur lengths.
Volatikai you can not make on your own:
-Albino volatikai
-Northern volatikai (maybe)
-Volatikai that are far from how their types act
Right now I'm thinking that northern volatikai (what Pierce is) will be rare, so I may not allow people to make their own. They are rare because they tend to die easily (by being killed by others or getting sick) as well as they are in prime bat demon eater territory as well as humans hunt them from time to time.
I also don't want people making ones that look super close to Pierce... xD;;
ANYWAYS, the one thing I am having trouble with is if I should allow people to pair their volatikai up with humans and even have offspring.
Why I feel torn on this is because in their world it's a heavy taboo for humans and volatikai to create offspring. Pierce and Rose have to live in a village where it's allowed, which is a small part of the world. Very small. So from that it would be logical to say that people shouldn't be allowed to do that... but then my other half WANTS people to be able to do that. :c I just dunno what is best...
I most likely will end up just letting people do it anyways (since it doesn't have to be canon completely to my story/world), but I wanna hear what you guys think.

I haven't done any art today, so I decided it would be a good time to work on the site some.
Main things worked on:
Northern volatikai has all of the info written out
Were forms has a bunch of info written out
The background/origin tab just has old info from when I had them as "bat demons", and just for the northern types. That will be changed/fixed.
I also need to do a bunch of art for each of the tabs as well.
Is there anything that looks out of place to you? Or maybe info that is missing? Let me know!
