New Year's Questionnaire
Posted 6 years agoSo, a new year is coming up. You excited?
Uh... not particularly? I mean, it's just the continuation of time. Essential, I know, but not really anything that gets me hyped.
Any regrets about this past year?
A lot, yes. Mainly issues with work ethic and self-control. I just wish that I can use my moments of weakness as lessons to grow stronger.
Any accomplishments you're happy about?
Finally getting my first fursuit commission; that was a great feeling, and it's proven to be a good project to keep me busy. Sketchtober was also something I did, and I don't regret it one bit; it was fun, and forced me to draw even more than I wish I did on a normal basis.. . . Oh, right. I finally finished my AA degree, too. That happened.
Are you fearful of anything that could/will happen next year?
...I'm afraid that I'll go the whole year and never change. I'm worried that I'll be stuck with the same bad habits for another 365 days...
What about hopes for in next year?
Overcoming aforementioned bad habits, though I also hope to finally earn my CDL license and begin a career of commercial driving - specifically, trucking.
And, of course, any new year's resolutions?
That's an arbitrary concept; I can resolve to do better anytime I want!
Feel free to use and/or edit these questions to make your own journal! Just be sure to send me the link - I'd be interested in seeing how others answer this.

Sketchtober
Posted 7 years agoI don't have inks... I'm not familiar with drawing using inks... I just like the idea of finally doing a "draw every day" challenge...
. . .
...so...
. . .
shut up.

Terms of Service - Fursuit Purchasing
Posted 7 years agoOrganized with help from MistingWolf and Feline.
- - -
Everywhere I say "you", I refer to any person who makes a purchase from me.
Let it be noted that my house has cats in it.
Due to questions of legality and other technical mumbo-jumbo, I will not do business with minors.
The following terms are subject to change with or without notice (likely with, if you're commission is in progress).
Design:
- It is recommended that you provide me with a duct tape dummy, so that I have what is essentially a body-double of you. This way I can test the way your fursuit will fit you before sending it to you.
- In the case of foot paws, you must supply me with a pair of canvas shoes that fit you, so that I have a base to work off of.
- Visual references of the character must be supplied. Simply describing what the character should look like won't work, because you and I could have different interpretations of those words.
Payment:
- Payment will be made through PayPal.
- Payment must be received before the suit is sent over.
- If you fail to point out a flaw in the suit that was clearly visible in any of the update photos (of which there will be several), and then request this flaw to be fixed after receiving the suit, you will likely be required to pay an additional fee for the requested repairs.
Custom Commissions
- At least half of the cost must be paid up front. The other half must be paid upon completion, prior to shipping.
- You will be the one paying for the fur or fabric that is used. If a set of foot paws are being made, you must pay for and send me appropriately-fitting canvas shoes to use as a base. I will pay for foam, thread, and other miscellaneous supplies.
- If you request the use of special materials that are not easily purchasable, or that are expensive, I will require you to pay for them.
- If payment is not provided within two months after completion, and if there is no contact within that two-month period that you didn't warn me about, the suit will be put up for sale as a premade or otherwise used as I see fit. Unexplained loss of contact combined with neglect to provide full payment after the suit's completion will result in you losing the suit.
- If you cancel your suit's construction, the completed parts of the suit will be put up for sale as premades or otherwise used as I see fit.
- In the case of cancellations, the refund will depend on how much has already been completed. I may retain a certain amount of the upfront payment based upon the prices of the items that have already been completed.
Communication:
- An up to date reference sheet of the character you wish me to build must be provided, and must accurately show the character's design. The colors, markings, and shapes must resemble those you want me to incorporate into your suit. Don't send me a reference and then say that something should be different than what is shown on the ref. I will not be responsible for any inaccurate markings/shapes/colors that are not clearly shown on a visual reference.
- I will not alter the design of any fursuit part after it has been completed. Make sure that the reference you provide is what you will want the suit to look like a few months down the road when I complete it.
- You may contact me using the on-site private messaging system. From there on out, we can keep in touch through Discord or Telegram (the later option would be preferred).
- I will provide you with regular updates on your suit's progress. This can be done through photos and writing. If you notice something that doesn't match the desired design, you may swiftly notify me and have me change it. This ought to be done as soon as possible, so that the faulty portion can be easily fixed. Any errors that are shown in photos and requested to be edited after initial shipping will require you to pay the return shipping fee, as well an additional fee for the unexpected extra work.
- Communication will remain professional. Any undesired discussion that is not relevant to the commission and your fursuit will be decidedly ignored, or otherwise avoided.
- If you are going to be unable to contact me for any long stretch of time (say, a week), please notify me beforehand.
Deadlines
- If you have a deadline that you would like me to work with, let me know when you first ask to commission me. This way I can tell you whether I'll be able to finish in time, or whether you should look elsewhere for a commission.
- I will not accept deadlines that are established after I begin work on your fursuit. Bringing up a deadline at any point after materials are purchased, or even after several hours or days of negotiating and figuring things out between each other, is inconsiderate - deadlines create a whole other logistical/stressful factor in the suit-making process, and if I'm going to work with a deadline, I want to know about it before I agree to do the work.
- Deadlines may increase the price of your commission.
Shipping:
- Full payment must be provided before shipping.
- You will pay for the initial shipping of your purchase.
- You may be allowed to return the suit after the initial shipping (up to 90 days afterwards) in order for technical modifications (damages, incorrect fitting, etc; not visual designs) to be made free of charge. If the suit was damaged due to any fault of my own, I will pay for the shipping to me, you will pay for the shipping back to you. If the suit was damaged due to improper use, storage, or washing, due to it being loaned to a third party, or during attempted alterations by anyone other than me, the repairs will come with a cost. If the suit was damaged or inadequate due to any fault of my own, such as poor sewing, weak connections, improper visual appearance that was pointed out before shipping, etc., the repairs will come free of charge.
- If your suit is lost during shipping (God forbid), I am not responsible (unless I put the wrong address on it; in that case, I'm very responsible). That would be something to contact the appropriate postal service about.
- - -
Resale:
- Credit must be given to me, the suit's original maker, if you want to sell it or any of its parts away by any means (this includes auctions, raffles, etc.). This is applicable even in the case of reselling the suit or any of its parts after you've made alterations to it/them (credit yourself as well, of course).
- Unless you or somebody else made modifications to the suit or its parts, do not give credit to yourself or anybody other than me, the suit's creator.
- Unless you make modifications to the suit, such as altering the fur pattern, adding more parts, or changing it in certain ways such that it becomes noticeably and significantly improved in the sight of a casual viewer, you may not sell it for more than the price you bought it for. Unless you modified the suit, don't sell it for any profit. ('Cause gosh blast it, I worked hard on it and I don't want people to profit from my work without putting any work into the project themselves.) This goes for individual parts as well, applying their respective pricing instead of the price for the whole suit. Special offers and discounts apply.

I Apologize in Advance

A Poll about a Hypothetical Fursuit
Posted 7 years agoI have a quick hypothetical question. If you were to, say, purchase a premade fursuit partial for, let's say, around 150$, which type of species, hypothetically, would you want that partial to be, so to speak?
- Possibly a wolf, fox, or other canine/vulpine?
- Mayhaps a big cat?
- Maybe a dragon?
- Potentially an otter?
- Probably some other animal that you might specify?
Spring break starts soon (and I have plenty of free time regardless), and to be perfectly honest, I really want to make and market more suits. Previous attempts have failed, so I turn to you, the general public and my followers, for help and information.

New Year's Questionnaire
Posted 7 years agoSo, a new year is coming up. You excited?
I'm excited to spend the night watching movies and drinking soda; I'm also excited about having the day off tomorrow.
Any regrets about this past year?
I kinda' sucked up on the ACT, so I'll have to try it again next year if I want any financial aid. My reading and writing was good, but my mathematics was out of practice.
Any accomplishments you're happy about?
Oh, yeah! I passed International Relations like a boss, as well as Argument and Persuasion earlier in the year. (Was it really that recent? Spring semester feels like such a long time ago.)
Apart from school, I guess... yeah, this was the year I finished my fursuit – man, that thing turned out well! It's gotten a few nice comments within the few times I've worn it, and around Halloween time was when I finally understood why everyone says that making people smile is the best part of fursuiting.
However, I probably wouldn't have had any of those fursuit outings without discovering my local furry group. I'm really glad that I did – beyond having a community of like-minded people that I can meet with in person, they've really given me more opportunities and more drive to be sociable, just like my parents always wanted.
Are you fearful of anything that could/will happen next year?
Sucking up the ACT again and having to pay for my college courses.
What about hopes for in next year?
Finally reaching the age and education level necessary to start down the path towards becoming a trucker (you know, driving on the interstate all day while drinking soda and rocking out to your favorite tunes). Aside from coaching – which I currently do, and which I find quite stressful at times – I've never been surer about the career path I want to take, and this one doesn't involve dealing with rambunctious children who don't want to be coached.
Oh, and I hope to continue my evasion of long sleeves this winter. I used to be such a cold wuss, and I got tired of wearing two layers while everyone else was sitting around in their T-shirts in sixty-degree temperatures. Granted, winter has only begun, so it's bound to get colder than it has been, but hopefully I'll be able to power through.
And, of course, any new year's resolutions?
That's an arbitrary concept; I can resolve to do better anytime I want.
Feel free to use and/or edit these questions to make your own journal! Just shoot me the link, 'cause I'd like to see how you answer them.
