Well, I did kind of vanished from the web last year, I know. I discovered I stopped answering comments here in the end of 2016...
Last year wasn`t good for me. I also almost stopped completely on doll making. I had some mind blocks, some things we do not understand really.
But the plan for this year is to get back on doll making, get back on commenting, on chatting with all the good people I know here! We will see!
Also, follow me on instagram, since is the easier and faster social media to use, it was kind of the only one I used lately. It is "vonBorowsky" there as well.
I ask you all to forgive me. Forgive me comments I had never answered, messages not responded, anything... I needed that time. Sorry!

Regarding Commissions

I have chosen to open the commissions in August because I thought my life would continue pretty much the same. But many things have changed and after that, I have been very busy.
As a result, just now I came to decide which design I would take to make a doll out of it. I have chosen this one: http://dimension-chronicles.deviant.....iral-404069289
Reasons are simple. My first doll ever was a black panther. This gorgeous (LOOOL): http://vonborowsky.deviantart.com/a.....r-06-188318267
My first idea of BJD ever was something like a big wild cat with some crazy accessories. I have never made it! Instead I tried something simplest which was a normal panther. Anyways, it would give a nice before-after pic.
This design I have picked isn't a panther but is a big wild cat and I never made a big wild cat as a deluxe doll. So I wanted to give it a try! Felines are always hard to me for some reason. Therefore, I must practice. Also, it was black, and I was in the mood for sculpting in black clay - yes, I have this feelings like I want to sculpt in some color - except for white, which is always hard.
This is also a simple design, and after I decided to make the tree dragon of emilySculpts, which is very hard and complex, I decided to take a little break! And also, I want to see if I can manage things better, and finish this doll soon, so I can make another. I can't continue taking so long to finish things.
I received many nice designs on this round of commissions, so, I will keep some of them as in a imaginary waiting list. Ans make as many as I can out of them.

After a long time, I decided to open my commissions again. It will happen on Saturday 22 (February).
At this time I open one, or two spots.
This will be the way I will choose the next commissioners:
- People will have all the weekend to ask for your spot by sending me an email (vonborowskydolls@gmail.com). It will not be first come, first serve. I will choose one or two most interest projects to make;
- The same email address of your paypal account may be used to comunicate with me.
- People interested in a spot need to have already received their quote (that can be asked by note);
- The choosed ones will be warned on Sunday and will have two days to pay half of the price of the commission, otherwise I will take somebody else.
Note me if you want a quote!
In your note include images of your design, information about the style of doll you want (standard or deluxe) and the details you would like (you can see all of these things on the links below).
Please note the prices are now set for hour of work, so, if you asked a quote before today, you may do it again. Prices
can be different now.
Note that dolls doesn't need to be canid or dragons, I can make other species as well!
Anthro dolls: I know anthro dolls are currently on my commission info but I am currently praticing it yet. I am having problems with boobies, butts, hands and feet as I am used to animals. Also because some of this pieces are hard to make all at once as it needs to be with cold porcelain. Although, if your anthro has no boobies, butts and their hands and feet doesn't look too much human, I may be able to accept it.
Please note you may send me your request by email! It will be easier to me to join all interested people in one place only!

Book/ eBook abot how to make toy jointed dolls?
Posted 11 years agoHello everyone who answered and who didn't the poll (vonborowsky.deviantart.com/jou… I made somedays ago about me writting an book, or possibly, an ebook about how to make "toy jointed" dolls out of cold porcelain.
As so many people like the idea, I thought probably some are misunderstanding what it means.
So, what are "toy jointed" dolls?

Why I thought on making a book of it? Because I really enjoy making ball jointed dolls, and these are not the same thing and I do not appreciate making them as much as ball jointed dolls. How my time to work on doll making is not much, I would rather prefer spend just on BJDs and spread this technique, which was developed by me, for those who will have time and effor to make dolls even better.
And why a book and not a tutorial?
I've seen through the years people making tutorial and many following it, copying styles, selling artworks without even mentioning they learned through someone's tutorial. They don't even thank those who made the tutorial...
I think it is very sad and lack of consideration with the original artists.
Making a book makes people who really want to make that to buy the book and is it at leats a way to thank the artist, and of course, you can make a book many timer better than a tutorial and with many more pictures and information.
I am not sure about what I will really write on this book, it is a bright new idea. I will explain how the mechanism of this dollw works, what do will need to pay atention when making it. Maybe I will even include some tips on how to handle with cold porcelain, because it is the material I will be using on the book, but, of course, everyone can improve this techniques using the materials they prefer ("how to's" highly depends on the material the stuff is being made).
And, it will probably be an ebook because I think it will not be thaaat big to be nice in a printed version. And, of course, printed versions would be more expensive and will be shipping costs and such that I am not sure if will worth for everyone to have it. I don't know nothing about prices for this things.
And if it is going to be true, maybe a contest to choose some designs for the dolls I will be making on the book? =)

My vacations start August 8, so, it is a goot time to take one commission.
I will open ONE SPOT ONLY.
I am in the mood to make a Deluxe Doll, but I can maybe take a standard.
I will choose the owner of this commissions spot by:
- first come first serve - with the most interesting design.
What does it mean? Well, I do not live of making dolls, I make them for fun, so, it is important to me to like it's design, so I will enjoy making it. So, first person with an interesting design will win the commission spot.
- I will take a half of the payment before start the doll, and the other half plus shipping, after finishing it.
- Please note I take a long time to make each doll (I am thinking on three months). They are carefully handmade, piece by piece. I work on each piece until it get no deffects and have the best posing I can give to it. It takes a long time, but guarantee to your doll the best I can give.

After so many people asking for quotes, I decided to finally revise my prices!
Please, you that know the old prices, don't keep posting them here. Send me a note if you want to talk about it.
My first prices were defined many time ago. I never changed them. At that time, I hadn't the same experience I have now; I had spend a lot of money on new tools and stuff to improve my dolls; I developed a lot of extra joints that are now standard; new techniques; have less time to spend making dolls; I have counted how many time I spent making one doll and discovered that I won too low money/ hour of work..
These are some of the reasons of me choosing this prices.
I have new ideas for the next dolls to come: they will be bigger and better.
All my dolls are made with love and all what is important to me is the customer's happyness. For that I spend a lot of time remaking each piece if I am not completely happy with and also a lot of materials to wrap the doll, because I do not want it to get to the customer broken, no way! It never happened before, and it should continue like this.

As you can see, my dolls used to be called: less joints, medium joints and lots of joints. This names were totally to be temporary, but ended up staying. I devided to change them now:
- Medium joints dolls -> Standard
- Lots of joints folls ->Deluxe.
I am taking a break from dolls with less joints at the moment. I preffer to make ball joints.

To make this dolls is a hobby to me. For this reason, I need to like your design/ idea to accept making a doll for you. If I don't like, I do not work with pleasure and the final product can be compromised. I will be honest to you and say I do not want to make your doll. BUT PLEASE don't be sad! Do not think your design sucks or something like this! It is just me and I also know when I can and when I can't make a design into a doll! Really, I do not want to make people sad about this.
Things I do not want/ or think isn't possible at the moment to be made:
- skeletons
- robots
- insects/ arachnids
(it doesn't mean a part robbot/ skeleton/ insect can't be done, only a entirely one).
Another important fact: there is characters I want to make, but a lot of people had asked me for. So, as I do not usually like to make the same doll over and over, the owner of this model will be chosend through an auction. It is the fair way.

About Commissions!

So, this is some news about commissions, for those interested on get a custom doll from me.
First, I will answer some questions:
- When your commissions will open again?
Next year only. I will finish the current commissions, take a break, then start and finish the dolls in the wating list, so, next year only I will be able to open my commissions again.
- How many spots have when you will open the commissions?
When I reopen the commissions, will be three spots. Actually, I will want to work on three dolls at the same time only. So, if someone, for example, order two dolls, then I will make this two dolls and one from another person.
- Will be a waiting list?
No, next time won't have a waiting list.
- How you will choose the people for the commission spots?
People will send me notes with their desired design for a doll. I will pick the first three people who send me the notes. First come first serve. But of course I will analyze the design and think if I will be able to make that. Also there will be designs I wouldn't like to turn into a doll. I don't want to make anyone feel bad by not having their design chosen. I just think the result is better when I like the designs I am working on.
- How I will know when your commissions will be open again.
I will write a journal called "commissions opening!" or something. And on this I will write the date when the commissions will reopen.
Now the news about when the commissions open again.
The prices will go up.
Reasons:
- I improved my skills on making BJDs a lot since I open my commissions for the first time.
- The "dolls with a lot of joints" will have the standart amount of joints increased, allowing the doll to assume more natural positions.
- The faceplates will be attached with magnets.
- The standart eyes will be painted glass cabochons and will be an option to handmade realistic eyes.
The new options:
- Poseable charms!
- Realistic eyes (I am working on already)
- Magnets that will allow to attach/ remove/ change dolls parts
- Removable real BJD eyes.
- I've bought some 8mm BJD's glass eyes to use on my dolls. So you will be able to change the eyes to customize the doll.
- Jointed tail: I am working on tails with more joints to make it pose better.

So, this is some news about commissions, for those interested on get a custom doll from me.
First, I will answer some questions:
- When your commissions will open again?
Next year only. I will finish the current commissions, take a break, then start and finish the dolls in the wating list, so, next year only I will be able to open my commissions again.
- How many spots have when you will open the commissions?
When I reopen the commissions, will be three spots. Actually, I will want to work on three dolls at the same time only. So, if someone, for example, order two dolls, then I will make this two dolls and one from another person.
- Will be a waiting list?
No, next time won't have a waiting list.
- How you will choose the people for the commission spots?
People will send me notes with their desired design for a doll. I will pick the first three people who send me the notes. First come first serve. But of course I will analyze the design and think if I will be able to make that. Also there will be designs I wouldn't like to turn into a doll. I don't want to make anyone feel bad by not having their design chosen. I just think the result is better when I like the designs I am working on.
- How I will know when your commissions will be open again.
I will write a journal called "commissions opening!" or something. And on this I will write the date when the commissions will reopen.
Now the news about when the commissions open again.
The prices will go up.
Reasons:
- I improved my skills on making BJDs a lot since I open my commissions for the first time.
- The "dolls with a lot of joints" will have the standart amount of joints increased, allowing the doll to assume more natural positions.
- The faceplates will be attached with magnets.
- The standart eyes will be painted glass cabochons and will be an option to handmade realistic eyes.
The new options:
- Poseable charms!
- Realistic eyes (I am working on already)
- Magnets that will allow to attach/ remove/ change dolls parts
- Removable real BJD eyes.
- I've bought some 8mm BJD's glass eyes to use on my dolls. So you will be able to change the eyes to customize the doll.
- Jointed tail: I am working on tails with more joints to make it pose better.

Dolls for Sale Soon!
Posted 13 years agoThe brazilian mail problem related on the last journal was solved today!
The workers will back to work tomorrow.
It means soon I will have dolls for sale!
And ready commissions will be send!
Just have to finish some doll's kits before do that!
I am thinking like Friday next week.

Etsy Shop Empty for a While! Mail Problems!

Some of you may notice that I haven't any dolls on my Etsy shop.
This because the Mail workers stopped working, because they want more money.
So, until this situation be solved, I will not post any new dolls on Etsy.
All of the dolls on my gallery are currently sold unless some commissioner give up of them (I hope not!).
But I am making new ones and hopefully you will like too! There will be a lot of dolls for sale in a couple of months, maybe on eBay or on Etsy, I haven't decided yet ><
The commissioners will suffer because of this problem too. I am finishing a lot of dolls of the customers, and I will not be able to ship them now =/
Changing subject, I noticed I have a lot of watchers here now! I made this account somedays ago and already have 52 watchers! Thanks a lot for the support!
