anyways sry for the extended poof and how sudden it was, so sudden that I was a bad wolf and never got to check if everyone got their ac stuff (__note me if you need business talk__).
First off I'd like to say I am not diving back into furry stuff. It honestly depresses me a little too much. All of my social self was invested into this site, commissions and conventions and since the move to OH it has slowly blown up in my face. Death of a friend, loss of friendships, great amounts of stress. I don't really feel I have much of a connection to the community anymore what so ever. I don't feel I belong here and conventions have been not so kind.
I hate to sound like a small emo kid but honestly I no longer have fun at conventions or on here they just are depressing to me that I feel I no longer have a circle of friends thanks to moving far away and the wrecking of friendships. I just more or less feel like an observer at them now.
With that being said I can't do them anyways.... thought I could work and con and do school. Yeah no... pre-med BA in 3 years is kicking my butt. Its pretty much the only thing I can focus on if I want to get into med school (other then when I have a break between semesters) and even between semesters while there is no school work I have to shadow docs and do lots and lots of community work. So yeah since the only thing at conventions it to work I'm not going to any of them any time soon...
There really isn't even a chance that I will go just for fun since working them is out of the question... Dearc has his medical stuff going on still and I really don't want to do alone con anymore.

Finally some good news! o.o
Posted 13 years agoWell according to the repair guy the car will be done either Friday or Monday. That is great just need the monies to pay insurance to get it out of the shop lol.
That is not the awesome news though. So as a few of you know aside from doing art I am a pre-med student. I have been trying all summer to transfer to CSU to start the Bacc/MD programs (as long as I get accepted next year by the med school).
So I applied way back in May. That was all well and good. Ordered transcripts and all that fun. Then the bad stuff started.
What happened was someone who did my transcript from my last college coded my transfer credits wrong. So this caused it to look like I went to school previously at University of South Alabama instead of University of Hartford..... I have never stepped foot in AL.
One would think this was an easy fix. Call the school explain the mess up and be on with my application right.... Nope. This happened around two weeks before AC.... I got strung around for weeks after AC until the end of last week when my dad and I got the asst. of administration involved. Turns out I was told the wrong thing multiple times. -_- So been on the phone with people like every day since last week trying to get this fixed so I can start school in the fall.
Well after phone calls all day yesterday I finally got my acceptance notice today! So yay! I got in... only issue now is hoping classes are not full when I go to see an adviser after they eval my transfer credits (which hopefully is soon). Now I gotta stuff this all into a short amount of time, on top of the car and on top of everything else going on (work, hubby medical issues, his work, paying bills)...
All because one person somewhere at an outsourcing company messed up one number in a school code on a transcript. o.O
So little good little, OMG WTF idunno but at least stuff is seeming to go on the right trackish lately. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it..... *burns some sage while throwing salt over shoulder*

Update regarding mailing
Posted 13 years agoI am terribly sorry to AC commissioners and others expecting stuff to be mailed soon. The radiator in our car blew today and just pours water so the car is pretty much not derivable right now. It is going to cost roughly 700 bucks to fix which we don't have since well we are beyond broke.
Due to dearc's medical problems escalating he is having a hard time working at all (aka he can't walk with out being in excruciating pain due to back herniation being the major issue of many many problems) so basically we are stuck between a rock and a hard space with no car to drive meaning what little time he can tolerate being at work just got obliterated with no car to get there.
I don't know what we are going to do or what is going to happen. I will continue working on the commissions I have. I will update of course if he has to go into surgery which is a high possibility but right now I can't get to the post office at all. If anyone would like compensation for this I understand be it a refund as I get money or more art. I will be eternally greatful for anyone who commissions me for August slots (or sooner) and will kick it into over drive to try to have more time in the day to be open for work if anyone wants some art.
Sorry again to have to tell you all this stuff. Frankly I don't really know what to do anymore with all the real life issues we are having its just overwhelming. These will be started after current list and in-between as a refresher break from larger commissions. At the latest your piece will be completed in August. I will be making a separate journal for these with a list of who has what pony and the completion order.
Ok so here are your options for the ponies that are known.
1. Bumblesweet

5. Twilight Sparkle

Gettin my shiznit organized + new email
Posted 13 years agoOk since going to CT then right to moving right to AC right to omg I have two more conventions things have become way disorganized. I have half my art stuff unpacked all my mailing crap is still in boxes and I have gotten a bit scatter brained/beginings of being overwhelmed.
This journal is to get my commission stuff in order. I know a few of you have been waiting a while for stuff and I appriciate your patience with me being gone dealing with stuff outside FA one right after the other. There is also stuff that was supposed to have been mailed when I left for CT which never made it (Bandrik that is yours) and for that I sincerely apologize.
So to fix this I am going to be making Saturdays my weekly mailing day (have to since well we have one car and he works ><) That way I can list who's stuff is going out each week and it wont get lost in the omg shit to do pile.
Also I have a new email that I am going to ask all commissioners use from now on. Its VoodooWolfCommissions@yahoo.com. Reason being is I can't keep up with the note system on here. Stuff gets buried or lost and trying to find commission details is ridiculous. Same goes for my old email that gets 100+ spam a day. So in order to keep things in neat little folders I ask that everyone send their commission related stuff to that email. Anything else not commission related can be sent as a note on here so I can keep it separate. Thank you all for understanding.

This is how its going to go when I open for the pony figure + art commissions!
There will be 2 options!
1. You can have a slot where you know the pony! aka I will list the ponies for those slots and you choose one.
For the most part these will be first come first serve, as in you claim a pony and tell me what you are paying for (aka sketch, ink, color) I may auction off one or two.
2. These slots will be the same as above but the pony will not be revealed until you get your arts!! also note that the mystery slots -will not- be the listed ponies, they are a separate bunch. Yes some might be the same but they are not pulled from the ones listed.
So how does this sound you yall? That way there is the fun of the surprise but also if people want a certain one, sure as rarity as one fur mentioned, there is the option to know what you are getting as well.
As for pricing to give yall an idea they will be the same price as my regular commissions (one could opt for a badge as well) just add on $5 for the figure/shipping! Also if you pay enough for it I will be willing to add your oc in the pic as well!

Ok so AC.... I'm now finally rested after the whirlwind of that con! It was really great as it always is and for the first time I got to just hang out on Friday since I was not a dealer this year. I got to see friends and other artists and actually see what all the other crazy artists sell!
Hell I even bought something for myself =O and to
dearc's horror it was a princess celestia hat with cyber dreads for a mane!! I'm sorry I'm not a brony but this hat is bad ass (it was made by 
nightengaleneedles go check her stuff out its bad ass).
There was so many people I got to see and chat with and I'm not even going to try to name everyone cuz you all know who you are!
Wanna say thank you to my roomies for helping me lug all my art shit back and forth on sat =) and my awesome friends for hanging out with me in the AA and sat dance, it was fun.
Also to everyone who commissioned me, you are all awesome!!! On that note now that I'm all rested up its back to the grind both on commissions from before the con and take home work! Its nice to be back to doing art work.

Ok soooo I gave in... I am starting to do pony art and figuring out what the show is all about lol. My roomies for AC are all brony so I gave into the madness.
Here's the question for you all! I went out and got a bunch of the little figurines that you open and find out what pony you guy cuz I had an awesome idea for a commission type.
I want to do an art piece of the pony in the pack so basically (either through auction or set price) you buy the little pony and I do a piece of art of it then send you the figure/card/custom artwork!
Here's the question - Would people like it better if I listed the ones I have or make it a surprise like as if you bought just the pack.. aka I pick one for you do the art then when I post it you find out what pony you got!
Also another thing I'm playing with is making pin on fabric squishy cutie marks and "pony tail" manes! (kinda like hair falls) but these I need to make the prototype to see what it would cost to do and how it will turn out!
Let me know what you all think! pretty pleaaaaase!

Move + commissions + mailing + AC meme repost thingy
Posted 13 years agoOk so we finally got everything moved over to the new place! Well almost everything still on more car load.... was not expecting this to take way over a week to do D= but its cheaper, quiet, and super dog friendly oh and not a utilities sing hole. Seriously when your power bill is equal to over half your rent there is an issue (that was the old place). Anyways that is why I have been quite MIA with no posting. Still have to unpack the entire new place but that will be done over time.
Second, commissions, yes back to finishing the ones I have and of course two months that were auctioned off. ^^ I will be opening up in August for new commissions since july was bought and I would like to allow take home commission time for AC. =)
Third - Mailing.... I do apologize with all that went on with going to CT then coming back going straight into moving this got delayed. I will be doing this asap this week before AC. I think I am also going to start setting two bi weekly days in the month for mailing.... I really need to get organized since that is not one of my strong points. =(
Last AC!!!! I will be there and at the double tree and hey if any of you furs I know are going to be at the double tree (like really know you not just on FA) want swap numbers and buddy walk back to the hotel late at night/after AA? I'm a little terrified of the walk due to my past and some issues I've had at cons before walking back a lone to my room. =( Anyways I go to all the dances and work a little after the AA so if anyone wants a buddy plus get in the free card (i'm a suiter) note me!

Posted 13 years agoBeen a little quite I know... I just got back from a week in CT which I didn't want to post on here publicly about since my mom enjoys my furry stuff and watches my FA. The trip was a surprise for her birthday and a couple people such as commissioners knew I was going. It was awesome and a nice break but now its OMG crunch time.
But even before I can do that as most of you know me and dearc are suppose to be moving tomorrow to the cheaper apartment. This may still be the case if we can sell some crap to make the little over 200 bucks we need to move. Either way I ask that yall bear with me as I will be being quite for a couple more days to figure out/move then everything will be normal again!

Finals/commissions/AC

hardcore 3 days I have 7 finals total this semester @.@ but almost done. Still need to get my application into CSU to go there in the fall then next semester start the application process for early entry med school weeee
Good news finally btw! Our application got accepted to the new apartment that is far far cheaper!! So all we need to come up with is the move in cost which well yeah need to get on that. Then we move in june first its looking like so keep an eye out for a journal about that since we were thinking of asking you awesome furs to help (dearc's back is too bad to move stuff) and then throwing you guys and awesome dinner if anyone would like but that is a bit away.
Also gotta get your AC orders in like asap if you want something for me since I will be doing AA and most likely will only have my watercolor stuff there! It will also help us get moved too =3 so yeah that is the updates for now I think!

Posted 13 years agoSo its official thanks to the awesomeness of two really great friends I can officially definitely attend AC this year! This makes me so happy! With all the struggle and hardship we have been and still are going through from medical issues to financial being given told that I am going no matter what is one of the greatest gifts ever! T.T I was really upset that I may miss this year, not just because is one of the cons I make the most money at but because right now just seeing the furs I care about who are good friends means the world to me!
So with that I will be going I will be trying for the AA (couldn't afford a table this year) and I will dance the night away with my best fur friends! For just a few days it will be nice to forget all the crap going on and have a little fun!

this is about 4 hours of work I'd say spread over the last week or so.
Would anyone be interested if I offered digital pieces like this by the hour perhaps and even streamed?
Such as you buy 3 hrs and I clock that 3 hours on stream and you'd end up with a piece similar to this one as well as the whole drawing process recorded.
I think it would be fun!
I think for now I would price this at $15 an hour

Posted 13 years agoWell right now unless the VA (who btw has lied to us for 5-6 months aka we should have been getting disability payments) gets their butt in gear like they told us they will AC will def be a no go...
1. no room has been found
2. no money to pay for room (unless I make it at con and who is going to trust that not even I would)
3. more than likely by the end of June if VA doesn't fix this shit (since dragon can't work due to medical stuff) we will be out of a place to live since our lease will be up and we won't have enough to move into a new place yay!
4. If that happens and we have to go back to CT or a friends place back there or whatever I will inform July and August people of the time frame but I -will not- let that keep me from getting work to you... there is always a library or some place with a scanner
5. If anyone wants to help out I'm just opening my commissions for pay what you want... my general price list is in the previous journal and my Paypal is in the header just send me what you want to pay with your FA name in the note part. Then toss me a note here with a reference and I'll draw you stuff... If you send over 10$ send me a description of something you'd like as well.
6. Also thank you to those who participated in my summer auction it did help but after doing the math it costs nearly 2k month to live in this place since roommie left and there is no way I nor my hubby can make that much... I don't get enough commissions and he is so broke he can barely physically do 20 hours of a desk job...

And this is why I love this fandom =)
This means so much to the people we all help which in general seems to be the "little guys". I'll never forget at MFF my mate and I did an auction in the dealer den and raise 300 for the little animal rescue group that was there that year who had never heard of furries. It wasn't a lot in the grand scheme of how much the con raised for them but after talking with her she broke down in tears saying how awesome the whole community was. So you all should be proud of our rag tag group =3 and know that even the small amount doesn't go unnoticed by these wonderful people who are struggling.
