BLM_4th of July
Posted 5 years agoHello to whoever's reading this,
I'm not going to mince words here; this year has been really hard for me so far. I'm a black woman, my entire life has been touched by the racial politics and structural violence of the U.S. As I've grown, I became more and more outspoken about it and it cost me a lot of friends, and even close family ties. The lesson I've ultimately learned is that for every person I lose to racism, I can gain many more that are empathetic human beings. I'm actually more hopeful than usual after seeing so many people speak up and take action after the recent injustice and racially motivated murders. Thank you to everyone that took part in fighting this, I know for sure I will step up more in my corner! I also hope to spend more of my free time on this site so I'll leave this journal off on that note.
Black Lives Matter, Abolish Police, oh and happy birthday to Steve Rogers!
P.s- If this kind of thing bothers you please go in peace
