"it is with an extremely heavy heart that i must announce i will no longer be taking commissions or posting art on this account. i have been dealing with a stalker for several years who issued a false chargeback to my paypal account which has put me over $200 into a negative balance in my bank account and it is my final straw. i have too many chronic health issues to deal with on top of my surgery complications that has added more stress onto this situation.
i will be removing all of my artwork and closing my subscriberstar page. to those who are waiting on commissions, i will finish the remaining pieces or refund them depending on how i physically and mentally feel.
i no longer wish to hold a platform. i will continue to do private commissions for close friends and clients who i have known for several years. i do not make enough money via art to justify putting myself through this much stress over and over again.
thank you all for your support over the years. i do not wish to maintain contact with anyone except for my friends and the clients i have on discord. its been a great pleasure working with and getting to hang out with all of you.
this platform no longer brings me joy.
i will keep my piczel artwork up and may continue to post piczel-related content if i do anymore in the future. thank you again to everyone who has supported me through covid, my health issues, and has generally just been extremely kind."
all of the artwork in my gallery here on FA has been purged therefore. thank you all for making my years here enjoyable. i have not enjoyed drawing more in my time than being able to create art for all of your lovely characters and communicate with such kind people. as stated above, i will either complete or refund those still waiting on their commissions here depending on how my physical and mental health dictate. i appreciate all of your patience and please know i am so severely grateful for it.
once i am finished tying my loose ends here on FA i will be deactivating this account. my twitter will remain up for any future piczel-related posting.

The Deviri Species
Posted 5 years ago This is a brief little entry on the species i draw called Deviri, which youre all gonna be seeing a lot more of!
✧What Are Deviri?✧

Deviri are a fantasy hybrid species i came up with that i like to make designs for. They are purely for enjoyment as an exotic/mythical species and i wish to share their existence.
They don't belong to one single particular story or work. They are, i guess, original characters of mine for illustration purposes.
✧The Basics✧
･⁺• ✩ •⁺･
⊹ Deviri are a mix between dragons, angels, and vulpine.
⊹ Their skin varies from scaly smooth, like a snake, to completely sleek like a salamanders, and usually have simple patterns and colors.
⊹ They live predominantly in high temperature environments, preferably where theres volcanic activity residing next to a source of warm water.
⊹ Their horns come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Larger horns are an indication of how strong a Deviri is.
⊹ Deviri's feet, in contrast to the rest of them, are fuzzy and have paw pads on the bottom. However, Deviri prefer flying or swimming over walking/running.
⊹ Deviri's ears are also fuzzy, and have plumage growing on the lobes.
⊹ They are omnivores, technically, but mainly eat invertebrates.
✧The Finer Details✧

⊹ They are a hermaphroditic species (not to be confused with intersex). Some Deviri have both genitalia, and some merely adapt.
⊹ This is for reproductive purposes. Deviri only mate once every 100 years.
⊹ They lay eggs! The eggs are buried in soft volcanic sediment and left to grow on their own with occasional supervision.
⊹ Deviri are born without full wings, and spend the first few years of their life in the warm waters of their islands until theyre ready to fly.
⊹ If their tail falls off, it can grow back.
⊹ Though it's incredibly rare, some Deviri are more vulpine and grow fur instead.
⊹ These Deviri often flee to jungle biomes to live, and dont mate due to their exclusion and inability to survive volcanic habitats.
⊹ Another incredibly rare trait found, though not as detrimental, have been Deviri born with more dragon-like wings.
✧Origins And Culture✧

Deviri believe that, at the beginning of the worlds time, an extremely powerful Dragon was birthed by the stars, and that this Dragon used magic to turn a fox into an anthropomorphic creature with no name. The being was kind and could heal the sick creatures of the planet and cast powerful protective magic, and was regarded as a deity. The different species of the world called this being an Angel. It's said that in return for the gift that the Dragon bestowed it, the Angel bore the Dragon's children, so its lineage could live on. When the Dragon passed thousands of years later, its body disappeared into the earth, and its magic dispersed like a cloud of fireflies into the nights sky.
Deviri have a great respect for creatures of all types and are an incredibly amicable race, unless it comes to their own territories. Deviri can be extremely overprotective of their islands and families, because of the circumstances around their mating cycles and their deeply instinctual need to protect their bloodlines. Stronger Deviri are seen as leaders in their families, or guardians in charge of caring for the weaker members.
They believe that when they pass, their bodies will nurture the earth and their souls will be embraced back into the stars.
Their homes are relatively simple. They are cave dwellers, due to the types of habitats they live in, and carve many of their furnitures out of rock. Deviri also have very little need for clothing. The material they wear is streamlined for flying and swimming, and is heat resistant. It is purely decorative for the most part, designed to be cosmetic out of personal amusement. They enjoy wearing jewelries that theyve made themselves or purchased from other parts of the world.
Deviri who hold higher positions of power in their villages, like chiefs, wear more traditional ornaments on their horns. Chiefs are appointed in each village by former chiefs passing the responsibility down to their chosen successors.
Despite also having avian features, Deviri have an aversion to birds of prey races.
✧How Do I Get A Deviri?✧

I love designing different Deviri, so if you want one, keep your eyes peeled for when i list a new batch of adoptables!
Eventually i would like to make a reference sheet on how to design your own Deviri, but im not at that point yet. (´；ω；`)

Posted 5 years agoonce again, before i continue i want to thank everyone who has supported me these passed difficult months.
by a miracle ive started to breathe again. a lot has happened aside from my health issues, but i don't want to bore you with the melodramatics. im in a positive position where my well-being is finally within my control. for those who did not read the past journals: it has been over 4 months since my COVID-19 illness started and only now am i finally feeling better.
life is stable enough for me to provide illustrations and commissions again. i really dont want to think about these dark times anymore, so i am only looking towards the future. things have not been good but now that im no longer suffering, i would like to get back on track. ive spent this last month focusing on improving my artwork and acclimating myself back into a comfortable schedule, since i was not able to do commissions.
ive decided to start up a patreon as well, which will be posted into my gallery with more information.
ill be writing up a new journal entry for my new commission prices very soon.
