I'm trying to coax myself out of a horrible state of art block that has plagued me for months before and after my move. If I wanna draw I have to sit in a weird cramped position on the floor cause I don't have a goddamned desk.

SO I always get really anxious when I travel, purely because I know I can't get to my work which is on the computer. I have a nasty habit of being unable to sit still and my fingers nEED something to do in my downtime away from home.
This lovely lady's got an i7-4700HQ processor and a GeForce 840M graphics card so I can work on high-res prints (while streaming if i really want to !) (」・ω・) She's a little chunkier than I wanted but that's okay, it's the insides that count <3

After some number crunching, I've realized that I'm only $465.97 away from being able to afford it on the budget I've planned.

I know the specs are a bit much for a work computer, but this will be the first time I've ever bought anything this nice for myself and I'm super excited because I've waited so long ; ___;; I've tried to tell myself that I'm not gonna use it for games but FUCKIT I GOTTA PLAY SOME GAMES ON IT
All the money from adopts and commissions after this will be going towards my credit card- it'd been run up after being jobless for 3 of my first months in SF. I would have been homeless if not for my wonderful boyfriend Taylor and creative director Dayvi, (WHO I TAKE EXTREMELY FOR GRANTED). Dayvi offered me work over the course of 2 months so I could at least pay rent. im getting sidetracked

My only worry about this purchase is that (because im buying through work) ill get the wrong model shipped to me, in which case I will have to exchange it for a different laptop altogether- an Asus. I love Asus shit but im gonna be really heartbroken if I have to settle

Still adding to and refining this. It's a very rough draft. I will come out with ref sheets for my species soon! :>

VoidEaters are at their happiest in the water, and very territorial. Their fins and tendrils allow for speedy navigation. More than often they prefer to munch on vegetation in the water, but will occasionally treat themselves to fish. They use their extra eyes to daze and hypnotize threats, and are extremely dangerous when provoked. They should never be approached directly! While tranquil in nature, VoidEaters turn hostile at the sight of unwanted company in their space.

Affinity to: water, mind, void
Weakened by: fire, air

Types:
> Seers: Tendrils, Horns. (optional: eyes on fins)
> Voidlings: No tendrils. (optional eye on head, 2nd ear set)

General Appearance: Eye on chest, Fins, Long tail. (optional: horns, 2nd ear set)

I have to start saving up for a new desk and laptop after Fanime- so i'll be opening up commissions and making more adopts in these following weeks.

Even though i will probably ignore everything here and continue drawing torrens b/c im a huge sucker, what do you peeps find attractive in an OC? I personally adore sea creatures and have a massive soft-spot for demon babs (or any monster with horns for that matter).

is it the same as designing a character WITH someone, or designing one FOR them? one provides more resources to work with than the other.

I don't know if I should take the face markings away (in the 1st link) or change them for the MILLIONTH TIME.
Without them he looks too human-ish because of the skin tone i chose but I really don't wanna change it to something unnatural either because he looks so pretty the way he is.

Any feedback? I should probably just leave it be for the night but the face thing is really itching at me;
