To be honest I've never been fully sold on the yellow for the pink fur pattern. XD I do like describing them as gold coins in writing, but I'm very take-it-or-leave-it when it comes to art. I asked End the other day and he said red, but I think that's a little too vampiric. XD

I don't think I communicated well that I was wanting to talk about comments here on FA for my stories. This website is where I have my largest fanbase (thank you all), it's primarily where I post my work, and where it's easiest for me to communicate with you. I wasn't feeling well this morning and I framed my message through that lens and forgot to actually say... what I wanted to say. u.u

I have no problems with talking to people. I'm already in a couple Discord servers, but I MUCH prefer one-on-one conversation, or structured posting like here on FA, so I can talk directly. I tend to be shy in large Discord servers or Telegram groups unless I'm specifically poked. And I share some work on them. I don't want to create my own server, that's more than I can handle right now/ever. I'm a meek little thing. u.u The business side of marketing myself is alien to me.

I am on Twitter, but that's mostly for my thoughts and other stuff, not writing. I've posted stories there and got... maybe... 10 likes as a grand total. Twitter is simply the worst for posting stories. A tweet is "gone" in like 10 seconds, and I can't expect someone to drop everything they're doing to read a story in the first dozen seconds after I post it. I've been meaning to do a tweet-a-day journal story for a while, I should figure out where I put that document and see about doing that...

But before I get off-topic AGAIN, the question I am meaning to ask is: When I post stories here on FA, and you read them, what are things I can help do to encourage you to leave a comment with your thoughts? It doesn't need to be deep analysis or anything like that, or even positive feedback! XD I'd just like to know that people are reading my work, especially people outside of my direct friend circle.

I wanna start by talking a little bit about me. I spend my entire life fighting with the feeling that I don't matter. Like I'm not relevant to ANYONE for ANY reason. Left to my own devices, my brain will convince me that I could just disappear and no one would even notice. I understand a lot of this is because of my emotionally-stunted upbringing. A lot of you guys had parents and family that you could talk to when you had problems, and who respected your feelings. I didn't.

One of the ways I try to handle that is through my writing, specifically here on this website. It lets me connect with people, express my thoughts and my feelings, and feel validated. I do the same thing with commissioned art from time to time, but that's also for me on a personal level. But the thing that helps me is also what hurts when I put a lot of work into writing something, publish it, and it just goes nowhere. Sometimes I feel like I'm running a booth and people come and take copies of my stories but never say anything to me, even if they enjoyed it.

So if I post something, and it gets 1000 views, 100 favorites, and 0 comments, I feel like I've failed. I didn't make something that people wanted to share with me. Without comments, I can't know if anyone actually liked the story, or even read it.

What can I do to help foster more dialogue with you guys and gals? Is there a different way I can present stories? I try to reply to comments when I can, but sometimes I can't because of stress.

I'm working on the next part of Threads of Fat today, and I wanna remind that my Gold/Foxyfriend patrons get to have their OCs appear as minor roles. n.n The first part involved  IndigoJack's Jackie as a chauffeur, and I've got lots more to fill! Movie directors, talk show hosts, paparazzi trying to get the best pictures of a super-size skunk, and lots of fun stuff! n.n

I was reflecting earlier on where I've been and where I am now. I think I can honestly say now that I'm a better person today than I have ever been, thanks to many of you~ I was a selfish brat years and years ago, and after that for a long time I was deeply bitter after experiencing abuse (not from anyone in this community, I promise). But I've pushed through it with a lot of help with the friends I've made here, and you've all made me the big, fluffy cuddlebug I am today. n.n This year especially I feel like I've really grown, and done better to use these big, dumb muscles I gave myself pick others up rather than push anyone down. XD For the first time in forever I genuinely feel loved, and I think I see light in my future.

First of all, I wanna give everybody a really big thank you for watching me here and reading my work. I mean, I really wanna say thank you! Because, compared to looking at art, when you read a story, you really have to dedicate time and energy to it. It's not just put in front of you, you awesome girls and guys invest yourselves in me, and I appreciate all of it!

With that said, my Patreon is now LIVE! This is honestly something I've wanted to do since this time last year, and I've put it off way too long. A lot of you might remember I got hung up on some money troubles going into this year, and while I think I've mitigated some of it, I really want to push past "getting by" and move into doing really great work and getting comfortable (because honestly, if you know me, I'm only a happy fox when I'm on the supportING side of things). To be honest, if just a third of my watchers here on FA became bronze supporters, I'd be in such a good place that I'd have trouble believing it! XD

So the next step on that path is a Patreon! n.n If you're worried about me locking up my content, don't be. n.n My Patreon will be exclusively for early access content and bonus rewards -- everything I post will come to FA and such probably a month after release. Basic support will get you that early access, as well as all my news posts! Going a step further, silver support will be able to get early notice of commission openings (not every time, though), and gold support (my Foxyfriends!) will net you not only commission discounts but also opportunities for your fursona or OCs to appear as guests in stories!

I've also got a couple ideas for extra rewards and interactions, too, that I'll look into in a little bit! I talk about that on the Patreon page.

I will be willing to write stories in some fantasy/sci-fi settings (like Warcraft, Fallout, Mass Effect, etc) specifically for non-fetish topics. I listed mostly video games as examples since I figure that would make up the majority of interest I'd have with this (and have received in the past). XD You know, some stuff where you want your OC level 110 Orc Warrior to chop some dudes!

This will be VERY MUCH on a case-by-case basis because I need to have an understanding of the setting in order to write in it. If it's anime, I probably don't know it. u.u So sorry in advance if it will take me too long to research a setting in order to write in it properly!

I've found out that my health insurance is going to go up by at least $350/month next year... which I can't pay. Merry Christmas to me, right? As of right this second I have no idea what I'm going to do. ;.; I need hugs.

If I find a regular job, I'll have to scale back my writing... which essentially means no more, or very little, writing here. >.< I've enjoyed this year, working more with people in the community and making extra money through commissions and having time to do gifts, a raffle, and some personal furry work. I would hate to have to give that up. u.u

I've been considering starting a Patreon for a while, but I can't imagine as a writer that'll get me enough to get by. I may still do it and see how it goes. But unless I'm really, really lucky, I'm not going to be a happy vixen. >.<
