Posted 3 years agoWell, hot damn been a century and a half since using the journal stuff here on FA. Least I'm not *super active* as much on here though still use it plenty
So, I do know I've had a few new watchers here and there, though not sure how many folks gonna see this anyways since I know journals ain't usually read that much. But as many people who know me now a days, this old name on my account just isn't *me* anymore.
And if anything I don't feel 100% satisfied posting anything of my newer content on here, if anything been doing that more on Twitter than here.
I should probably explain at least why, or for those who don't know the story offhand.
Originally, Vyta (which even when I first took on the alias was Vita) is a name I've carried for years, almost well over 10 years, and really I felt like it held me back more than anything, least it became so ingrained into my identity that I couldn't afford to change or shift from it. Its like changing your clothes constantly, your style, but yet you still have that old gaudy name-tag still branded to your shirt that ya couldn't take off and clashes with everything ya do try to wear with it.
And finally, right around last October, I decided to adopt one of my OC's names, Gron Tuskhide, my wereboar whom I'd made for a D&D campaign that I ended up feeling alot more connection with than any character I'd made to date. At first it was for fun, for the sake of 'Orc-tober', just to test the waters some on how people would feel about it, but by the end of the month, I realized how happier I was to have something new to better represent myself. Gone was my old name that felt like I'd been anchored to, in was a new persona for myself that I felt much more comfortable with.
That brings me around to here, on FA. Which, honestly I STILL badly wish they would let you change your account name, but alas that ain't happening *now* (Maybe with new site subscription stuff maybe), though if anything I want to share more of my commissioned works here. But, no more under this name since it just feels like that *last* piece thats hanging on, and rather just put it behind me so I can carry on with my new self.
SO I'll probably be making a new account this coming weekend or at the latest by next week, but for any new watchers who happen to see this, I just hope ya'll don't mind swapping to that one once I get around to it~
