School Work, School Exams...
Posted 15 years ago... and after those, I need to friggin' DRAW AND PLAY!
I still have one incomplete school work: making Java source code for a Klondike game. Considering I only have a day left and I still haven't done the "interaction" part of the game, I think I'll be screwed. Hopefully I can at least soften the blow on the exams instead (I'm usually better at exams than projects, anyway).
Anyway, I feel like venting that out before I go to sleep. Tomorrow's the last day I work on it, and by golly I'd better do a good job.
Will there be something for you guys who read my journal? Yeah! Well, it's just an inquiry that I'm adding "sketch pages" to my comic whenever it's finished. That way, it'd look more like those doujinshi them Japanese erotic comic artists do usually.

Sorry for the inactivity!
Posted 15 years agoThis is usually the time of the year where I'm very busy with school work. Seriously, an entire month allotted to school projects and exams! Who'd ever make something like that, right?
If it makes anything better, I'm starting to sketch the pages for my comic. Hopefully I'll have a better idea of what to add in my comic.

Happy Holidays!
Posted 15 years agoGotta be early to say this before I go on with my family to random relatives' houses for random parties and random food. Yes, I got attracted by the third one.

Babbles about Fictional Age
Posted 15 years ago(This isn't a rant or anything that aims to vent out some frustration; it's more of a confusing question and an attempt to self-analyze the topic.)
I do wonder why people proclaim that their characters are "mature" by saying they're "over 18 years old". While this may be true for human characters and characters that act like humans (you know who they are), I don't understand why the same numerical value of maturity also applies to other types of characters. I mean, we see dogs and cats and other animals (and dare I say it: "other sentient beings, fictional and otherwise") become mature and we certainly do not say they're around 18 years of age, right?
All these circle around the thought of "why people brand their characters as over the human age limit to prove they are mature", and while this isn't something that needs a very strict pattern of remedies and fixations, it is something that one might not help but think of its logical reasons. Personally, I see it as a way for them to point something out without having to explain much about it. It's something that people almost immediately recognize.
Just don't be surprised if an eighteen-year-old dragon isn't really mature yet. Or that actual dogs mature in a year or so.

Maybe I should work on something to commemorate this event. What's your suggestion?

Critics Nowadays are Stupid
Posted 15 years ago(Note: this is not targetted to ALL critics. I'm talking with experience when I say this, and by reading the entirety of this post, you will understand who I'm talking about.)
"Why are you wasting time doing this? You're obviously not good at it."
"It doesn't look 'that' good enough."
"That's so over-rated."
"Stop doing that, you fukken noob!"
You see yourself saying one of these things, or something similar? Then consider yourself a complete failure at trying to "help" the person in front of you.
A lot of people, and I mean a LOT, are continuously using the term "criticism" improperly. They think they're entitled to say whatever they want (and even proclaim it's democratic in doing so). If that is perfectly legal, then I beg for SOMEONE to just get them killed off, since they won't be held responsible for it. But what I'm just saying is, they're confusing "constructive criticism" with "saying whatever they want".
"But Vyt!" you might complain. "They DO have the right to criticize!" Of course they do. Everyone does. But there is also responsibility in criticizing. See how being a "critic" means being "critical"? Critical! Geez, if people just realized that by now, they would've been embarassed they'd call themselves that.
But what am I exactly going to, anyway? Here's the thing: there is a huge difference between finding errors/flaws in something and just being a complaining ass about it. No, there is no fine line, there is a tall fence between them. You can tell someone is criticizing when they actually point out something and explain it in various aspects. You can also tell someone is just being a bitch when they just keep whining about stuff without giving any substantial thought on what they're saying.
Most people see critics as being mean, even yours truly. But that's because good critics actually don't let you away with any flaws. They're there to help you realize what you might be doing wrong, and to give you something to work on. However, several people only see the "being mean" part, and they just stay that way in a laughable attempt to turn themselves into critics.
So what do I want to see? I want to see less people being an ass about other people's stuff and more people being more analytical and responsible about what they're saying to become a good critic. It's not a ticket pass to say whatever they want to say, but a laser pointer that should be handled carefully and responsibly. Don't point your criticism towards unnecessary stuff like what you hate or how someone sucks. Point it towards flaws and progress, and help the people behind the stuff.
Take it from me.

Reformat and its "damage"
Posted 15 years agoWell, I wouldn't consider it a damage, but since I reformatted my computer, somehow there has been some cause for frustration in my part.
The files I "backupped" are all gone, including the stuff I'm still working on (even the comic). I have two hard drives and placed those files in the extra drive. I must've done this the wrong way though.
Initially, I was left with a computer that had drivers that I forgot to get before the reformat. It took me about six hours to get them all from my brother's laptop. Not really a wise use of time for me.
And of course, the programs. I told myself I would only download what I need, but since my backup files are gone, I now have to download/install0 them all again. I'm probably at about 30% of this since I haven't installed the programs that need a lot of space (Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop etc)

I've been wanting to do an interactive flash...
Posted 15 years ago... But I don't know where to start!
If anyone of you can help me out by making a short tutorial about interactive flash for me, I'd really appreciate it. I might even make one exclusively for you if I understand enough to actually start with one.
But yeah, I'm rather desperate here. You can say I'm really bad at using Google for this as well.

Word of the Wise (and a Slap to the Morons)
Posted 15 years agoFrom a random stranger in the intarwebz, talking to people who keeps raging on stuff they find in erotic comics:
That's actually awesome shit he said. Take heed to this guy!
wow.. you guys take this shit waaaaay too fucking seriously xD
The man draws porn. Guys, girls, whatever he likes.
..thats about it.
No statements. No beliefs. No polotics.
Its just fucking porn.
If you let the 'story' and shit get to you, and ruin the porn for you, then hey, thats your problem.
The rest of us will just keep fapping and enjoyingThat's actually awesome shit he said. Take heed to this guy!
Unexpected Pairings - Give Me Ideas!
Posted 15 years agoIt's hard to think of unexpected pairings on my own, so I'm setting this up for you to give me ideas. Who knows, I might pick your idea if it pokes my interest!
Guidelines:
* No original characters. Sorry, but I just figured it would be pushing it if I just let everyone suggest their per/fursona in some kind of engagement with their imaginary waifus.
* Crossovers are fine. Pretty much explanatory.
* Fetish ideas are considered on a case-per-case scenario. If you like to risk it, add that very extreme fetish you want in that pairing. It might pose more as a challenge for me, and I might pick it out of my will to draw something new.
* Any kind of pairing is acceptable. M/M, F/F, F/M... The works. Oh, do add the genders in your post if the characters can be ambiguous (eg. Pokemon).
Let's go!

I Think I'm Going to Blow... (No, Not THAT Kind of Blowing!)
Posted 15 years agoEver tried something that you thought you couldn't handle? It's a strange string of feelings. The reluctancy when you pick up on the thought, the fear when you start on it, the excitement and anxiety as the whole thing escalates... Then things slow down for a moment and you realized, "Holy <expletive>, I can't believe I'm doing this!" Sometimes it goes back to the excitement when things repeat by themselves, but it'll eventually lead to the end. Ironically, that will be the start of a long chain of emotions and ideas, most of them centralized on whether you liked doing it or not.
... Come on, Vyt! A hill of text just for reading a bloody manga?
Oh yes, and I was being quite literal. I've never dared myself to read something with such gore and angst (and I'm not talking VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES AND TEENAGERS WITH A THING FOR ANGER AND RAGE) but it stumbled upon me when I joined this trip into a Japanese art museum of some sort.
I'm not going into details about the stuff in the manga, as I never wanted to spoil anything. But imagine the feeling... It's mostly ecstasy, but in a wide range. It feels great (which is ironic because this manga ends on a bittersweet note).
So yeah. A journal entry about something I completely had fun, in a different and unique way. Joy.
(For those of you who are interested, the manga's name is "Battle Royale", and you can probably search for it easily. Just be aware that I warned you about the intense gore and adult stuff.)

Haters Be Hatin' (Rant - You've Been Warned)
Posted 15 years agoIt seems that nowadays, you can never have a day around the internet where you don't see a speck of ignorance and idiocy. Phrases like "Get da fuck out, ya don't belong here" or "what are you a 12 yr old?" or "u suxxx so much suk mah cock xiao man lah" have quietly grown to be something common. Better than make a wall of rantful text about them like the ignored and battered intellectuals who actually think things are going too far, I will just keep mine short and simple.
Stop the ignorance. Stop being an ass.
It's already enough that we live in a shithole full of syndicates, extremists and just the plain stupid. The "It's the internet, there's nothing you can do about it" excuse has grown so old and sour, it makes the "PEANUT BUTTER JELLY" meme look hilarious. It's that kind of thinking that sets the whole population back to the time when people executed "witches" for their "blasphemy".
I am writing this up for all the people to see. Point at me and laugh at my cries, contemplate about it and realize the point, or just simply ignore what I have just said; I've said what I wanted to say, and that alone is enough for me to blow the steam off my head.

Sanya Quest: What's Up With That, Vyt?
Posted 16 years agoMy recent submissions might make you wonder about these new original characters I've been making artworks out of. Well, I think it's time I let you know where they're coming from.
Enter TGChan.
TGChan is an imageboard dedicated to the drawfags from the infamous 4chan. The site is centralized on all the "quests" (interactive stories) done inside. I have managed to create three quests (one of which is the continuation of Furries Gone Wild, which is actually on hiatus atm), and am currently focused on one of them.
Enter Sanya Quest.
Sanya Quest follows the story of Sanya as she finds her long-lost father. Unbeknownst to her, the journey involves her partaking in several others who searches for their own personal goals.
Yeah, that's all I'm saying. If you want to read the previous chapters, click the second link I've posted. If you want to follow up, you'll have to catch me updating. Sorry, but I can't be bothered to announce when I run my quest.

The Way I See It
Posted 16 years agoI'm getting some attention nowadays, though this hasn't even gone through my own satisfaction. I knew I needed to do something extraordinary in order to garner enough to merit myself.
I've been talking to a lot of people lately, getting ideas from their random conversations and even personally asking for help.
Guess what I'm going to do.

Posted 16 years agoAs I'm writing right now, I'm having my way with Blender3D, supposedly a program that lets users do 3D stuff. I've never ever tackled 3D stuff before, so I'm still getting used to this program's interface.
Does anyone here have experience with Blender3D, or can teach me how to even do stuff like this? :(

BUTTSEX AND PORN ACTION!
Posted 16 years ago... Did I get your attention? Good. That means you've been reading the journal of an unknown artist. Nice of you to do that.
The reason I'm doing this is because I have 17 watchers, yet I only see little interaction from them. No, favorites without comments don't count.
So I have a question for you all who are still reading this junk: what do you want to see from me, considering my current abilities? Probably I'll take some of your suggestions and make them for you.

I reposted the title so your dirty little minds can think.

... is what I wanted to say had I been famous, but I'm getting there.
No, it's not fame that I want. It's a long story.
Anyway, remember when I told you about the animation I started long ago? I'm happy to announce that I'm back to it, thanks to random Yahoo! searches of Flash tutorials. I will post some previews later on.
Also, if you've noticed, I had two adult pictures of Palmon in my gallery. Well, it's really an impromptu series, and I still have two more. Hopefully I'll get them done after the requests I had on a forum I go to.
In short, I'm back to activity. Go me. Yay.

Dilemma, Dilemma...
Posted 16 years agoI have an ongoing animation work on a 2-minute song, yet I can't seem to handle the pressure of having to work on it. I find myself being so inspirational at school, yet feel very tired out when I finally get to my computer. It's really frustrating that I've been keeping my animation on hold for two weeks straight (though I have been really sick for this week, to be honest). I'm really looking forward to what I can do, but I just can't seem to find a long-lasting inspiration for me.
On other news, I am starting to refurbish my original characters. You heard me right; I already had original characters YEARS before I got here. Recently, I've been reworking on their storyline, keeping in mind that changes are NECESSARY because I somehow screwed up the timeline.
I might start posting them when I get back at them.
Lastly, it seems that the more mature my submission is, the more views I get. I'd really want to ask some of you to give me an opinion on this.
EDIT: Also, I'm aiming on a lot of short-term goals. I seem to be more motivated by them than long-term ones. Think of them like "Steam Achievements" where I'll get ounces of motivation whenever I am reminded of them.
The list:
1) Reach 50 submissions (excluding scraps)
2) Have more than 1,000 views on a single submission
3) Get 25 favorites on a single submission
4) Have 10 Flash submissions (must be longer than 10 seconds)
5) Get 50 watchers
From now on, at irregular times I will repost the list on a journal and keep myself updated on the progress.

Formal Introduction
Posted 16 years agoHow dare I post two artworks without even formally introducing myself!
Hello. I'm vytalibus, and I'm new. At least, new here. I've been drawing since I was 14, but only started to take this hobby of mine more seriously just recently. In layman's terms, I'm making this MAH SRS BSNS.
I'm 18 (and yes, I've been waiting to be 18 for this), but I look like a early-teen boy. Yay for shortness and the desire to always keep my mustache well-trimmed.
Despite the nature of my second artwork, I'm not much into yaoi. The only exceptions are when I REALLY like the characters, or someone brings the topic up and I happen to be drunk with caffeine and what not by 10 AM. Following that, I am straight.
... Or at least, I am -now-.
Anyways, I have some old artworks that I might bring up later on. I will put them into my Scraps for all of you to see. I hope I am welcomed.
