It seems that Citibank is leaving Russia which means that Payoneer won't be able to transfer money to Russian bank accounts as they'll be left without an intermediary bank.

That means that Russian users will be unable to withdraw funds from Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee.

As of now, it seems I'll only be left with Boosty as a payment option.

- There's also some service called Lava.top that I've heard about but some people have said it seemed shady, so I can't comment on that.

- I also remember having looked into Paxum (read journal) but it came nowhere at that time.

- Some people mentioned Telegram payments which I'm going to look into a bit later.

- EasyStart has confirmed they will start allowing freelancers to accept payments from individuals.

I'll start off by saying that I'll be posting YCH reminders from now on.

Never liked the idea of it, because I can see as a watcher that this might very well become a nuisance in the feed. But I'm afraid I'm not in a position to worry about it so much anymore.

During this year, I've made some bad financial decisions that cost me loss of hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars in the long run (thankfully, it's not about getting loans or gambling, lol).

In November, I decided to freeze prices for my regular clients for the entire year of 2022.

I was feeling extra confident because things were looking optimistic at the time (I had a more or less steady income, I had P-A-Y-P-A-L and savings, therefore we were feeling safe). I thought there'd be no harm if my regulars had the prices fixed. But then February 24 happened.
With Paypal leaving and prices staying fixed, that resulted in me losing 2/3 of income. Since I mostly use Patreon+Payoneer, I am now also losing more % on platform and transaction fees from what little I may earn.
Now this will sound illogical, but I want to keep my promises and not raise prices until 2023 hits. The clients are not responsible for my miscalculations after all.

Right now we're at the point where we've used up almost all of our savings. I am also now the only one who can provide for my family. Because of ✨partial✨ mobilization, my father was almost taken away a couple of days ago, though miraculously saved by his work and given a 6-months protection (like literally he was being put on the bus and that's when his protection docs arrived). I am afraid to let my husband go outside because of that, so now I'm the only one buying groceries, paying for utilities and just generally being able to leave the apartment.

With no opportunities of leaving the country soon, the only thing there's left to do for me is just keep going. Man, that's a long ass explanation of why I'll start posting reminders...

Paxum has reenabled their services for Russian users (it's official, I got the reply from their support team yesterday).

Not that I ever knew they left, much like they were even available... xD

I am considering to register on it but it seems they require the name of a client or a company that would make an initial deposit into my account. I am confused about it because there is no way I can know this information until a Paxum user actually decides to commission me and gives me their name... Unless I am wrong here?

Youtube hasn't really been helpful because myriads of tutorials only show how to register if you are an Only Fans model (meaning they tell you to just write "Only Fans" into the "client/company name" field). But since I am working with individuals only, I am kind of lost here.

I was wondering if there is someone who uses Paxum or knows someone who uses it. Would really love to have an (additional) alternative to Patreon and (especially) Boosty.

I was away spending time with my family at the beginning of May but now I'm finally back home and ready to start working ^^
