All in all, 2017 was a dumpster fire of a year filled with autism and retardation. Call it a hunch, but I get the feeling that 2018 is gonna pull a "hold my beer" on us.

I've been meaning to have a partial made for quite some time, but I finally decided to do it. Contacted http://barkingmadfursuits.wixsite.com/bmsuits and took care of everything that's needed for her to work on a suit of Hale including head, arms, and tail.

Depending on her time frame, the suit might be ready to take home around the same time my suppressors are cleared by the ATF, so that's kinda awesome. That month or so is gonna be badass as fuck.

Before I made my trip to California to visit family, I bought and filled out the paperwork for an AAC TI-RANT 45M suppressor and a Dead Air Armament Sandman-L. With that done, all that's left to do is wait the year or so for the ATF to process my paperwork and give me the approval to take those cans home. It will take a while, but I'm still excited to try them out. Suppressors are a lot if fun to shoot with.

Recently picked up the game and would love more people to play with. It's free to play, if anyone's interested.

I've seen many people in the past complain about how furry artists offering commissions charge far too much for their services. I've said the same thing myself, though that's also because I feel my money is best spent on my other hobbies rather than pictures which carry only intrinsic value and with little resale value. However, it's silly how outraged I see some people over the rates that artists charge for the work as if everyone with talent in the furry community met behind closed doors and negotiated a deal where they all jack their prices high to line their pockets. What sets the prices so high isn't the artists being money grubbing sleezebags, it's the people who are willing to pay the prices they charge. These artists provide goods and services to whoever wants them, and the market dictates which of those goods sell and at what value. I've looked at pictures in the past by well known artists and asked myself how some artists can get away with auctioning off a YCH slot for some uninspiring porn for $400, but that's all the fault of the person buying it. For whatever reason, there are lots of people in the fandom who feel that their money is best spent commissioning thousands of dollars in gay furry porn. You can't fault the artists for meeting that demand, their work is only as valuable as what others are willing to pay for it. So instead of hating on the artists, slap the guy who is spending all his money on them.

Well not quite back...still have another 7 or so more hours of driving to go. BLFC was all around an amazing con that was made more amazing by the cool people I met. It was a weekend of camaraderie and shenanigans, a time when a bunch of weirdos with a like minded interest get together and create something which words alone do no justice. It's a similar experience to what I had at FWA this year, and I was just the same depressed to leave. A part of you thinks of how awesome it would be to say fuck it and keep the shenanigans going indefinitely. Life stops for no man though, so back to the real world we return to continue living and planning for the next adventure.

Departed at midnight and won't be there till sometime in the afternoon. What's lame is that I can't sleep in cars, so I'll have to catch up on lost sleep when I get to the hotel. At least Thursdays generally aren't too busy.

A few buds of mine are making the drive from Missoula to Reno for BLFC this year and I'm planning on joining them. I had a great time at FWA and would very much like to try making it to a few more cons this year. I haven't placed in my time off yet with work so there's a chance that I won't be able to make the trip but definitely will of I can. I'll keep you all posted if I'm free to go.

So my brother back home in California found all of my missing art supplies, said it was shoved to the side with a lot of the other crap in my house. This is great news for me since I was afraid that I lost all of that stuff during the move and it would have been expensive to replace it all. Unsure when he'll get around to sending it all my way, but hopefully sometime soon. Will be nice to get back into drawing again, will be rusty again after how long it's been since I last drew anything but hopefully I'll be able to post up more of my crap drawings sometime in the near future.

So I decided after all that I would attend FWA this year. I haven't attended any cons outside of Califur, which was still an enjoyable con but badly tarnished by all of the local Cali pricks who attend it. Everything is set for FWA this year, and will be staying in the main hotel in a room with  jphoenix98 and a few of his buds. Honestly really looking forward to this con, which is generally something I don't say about anything furry related. I'm not going to write any stupid meme journals about my do's and don'ts as anyone who follows me and has enough functioning brain cells will know what I'm fine with and what will earn them a punch to the face. Don't be at all afraid to approach me of course, I warm up to new people fairly quick and contrary to my online persona am not a very aggressive person in real life.

Foxes in the fandom have an earned reputation for being gay, slutty cum dumpsters. For the sake of breaking this pattern, I'm thinking of making a fox character who is straight, not a slut, and a family man. Thinking of also making him a CIA spook during the 80's. Both Keegan and Hale are scifi characters so having one more down to earth will be a refreshing change of pace. Besides, a 1980s Soldier of Fortune themed character who travels the world killing commies and drug lords would be pretty awesome.

I really need to start drawing again. Way cheaper to draw stuff myself than commission artists to draw my ideas for me.
