Tacos, Part 5
Posted 9 years agoChorizo and potato tacos turned out to be really delicious. The flavor from the chorizo itself--I guess I mean the grease--flavors the potato wonderfully. Add on some finely diced onions and cilantro, and you have a real treat.
Tacos, Part 4
Posted 9 years agoI made taco egg casserole. It was pretty good. It had a dozen eggs, 3/4 cup of milk, taco-seasoned ground beef, two cups of cheese, a layer of tater tots, chopped green onions, black beans, and some salsa con queso.
Tacos, Part 3
Posted 10 years agoI continue to love tacos. I don't care about the IMVU thing at all.
You know what's great for tacos? Cooking half of a chopped onion and some diced green chilis with the meat.

Tacos, Part 2
Posted 10 years agoI still love tacos.
Tacos
Posted 12 years agoI love tacos. I could eat tacos all the time. One of my favorite meals to make is multicultural tacos. Indian ones were really good.

What's been going on in my life?
Posted 12 years agoIt's been half a year since I last posted. I've been in Louisville, KY for six months. During that time, I've not really made a whole lot of friends due to my reluctance to hang out with people when I don't have money.
I have sort of gotten a job though. I do volunteer work at an office where I assist with research. It's pretty neat, and I learn a lot; most importantly, I'm discovering skills I didn't know I had and refining ones I'm familiar with. This should in theory make for a much better resume.
My music-making has been pretty fantastic. I've written a few awesome songs, learned to play several other awesome songs, and I'm really considering getting involved in some open mike nights. Oh, but the pickup and cable outlet on my electric-acoustic guitar fell into the body of my guitar leaving me in quite a predicament...

In Louisville
Posted 12 years agoI made it to Louisville in one piece. The apartment is still a little bare, but my stuff is here. I figure at some point I will have to try to make some friends.
Going to Louisville!
Posted 12 years agoI'm finally heading to Louisville! I leave on Sunday, and on Tuesday I show up for a job that I'm not guaranteed to keep for more than a day... it's a trial run, see. They want to see how I do before they decide to actually hire me. So, I'm hoping for the best. I want to impress these people so badly.

Resolution in a Word
Posted 12 years agoMy family started doing something different the past couple years for New Year's Resolutions. Instead of a phrase ("I'm going to lose 25 pounds" or "I'm going to finish a project a month"), we choose a single word that will be the focus of your "resolution". The challenge is thus to live your life always keeping that word in mind, staying true to it when possible. It's like a value to hold dearly.
I'm choosing "Commitment". To follow through on things I start; to make decisions and stick with them.

I love my guitar!
Posted 12 years agoMy guitar sounds so amazing with its new strings now that I was able to get my bridge pins replaced. I'm working on a bunch of new songs that I'm incredibly pleased with so far.
I've also been making music with another guitarist, and we might be a band. I have some concerns that we might want to go in different directions musically though.

Restringing my Guitar
Posted 12 years agoFinally restringing my guitar after several years without a change. It's about damn time too, these strings are in terrible condition.
Then one string wouldn't come out. Finally figured out why. The bridge pin is broken. Oh joy. Now I can't put the A string on at all.
