Posted 12 years agoFirstly, I can say conclusively that we have Google Checkout up and running. This means we can accept Debit and Credit Cards to pay for registration. Now you can sort out your registration payment at home from your web browser, easy as pie! Just remember you still need to book your hotel room too.
We have also opened a Tumblr Account. We will post everything that goes on our live journal there, so don't worry about needing to follow two accounts for the same information. You can find the address here www.Scotiacon.Tumblr.com
We are also taking questions to put to our Guests of Honour. Please feel free to send them to the Scotiacon twitter account scotiacon. You can also use the "Ask us anything" box on Tumblr, just remember to tell us who you would like the question to be put to. We shall put the best to our guests of honour, and they will be printed in our Con Book for this year!
Also I would like to clear up confusion on how Flex Pay works. All you need to do is book and then you can pay at the hotel upon checking out. So you should have all the time you need in saving the money to pay.

We are now hard at work getting Google Checkout fully implemented. This means you will be able to pay online with a secure and fast method. Google Checkout accepts all major credit cards and signature debit cards including: VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express®, and Discover®. The option of paying via bank transfer will still be available for anyone who either wishes to not use this system or cannot. We are still looking into opening up more payment options as well. If anyone will have trouble with the methods currently available please contact us at registration[at]scotiacon.co.uk , we don’t want anyone to miss out.

Introducing our third guest... Spiritraptor.

spiritraptor is one of the most highly educated raptors known to exist, with both an FDA in Animation Arts and a BA (Hons) in Games Design. As well as being an accomplished digital artist, Spiritraptor is a practiced leather smith. Producing items from small and simple pockets to more complicated designs. Also being a survivalist fur he will not be staying with us in the hotel, but will instead be ‘hidden in the loch’. If he doesn’t show up on the first day of the convention, we will all need to go outside and shout very loudly ‘We can’t find you!’, either that or leave a lot of wild haggis outside as bait. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/spiritraptor

Nightfox is a fox. Despite claims to the contrary he does not own the night, this leading to some confusion when he was first seen in daylight hours. However we managed to detect secret transmissions that stated he first joined the fuzzy life in 1999, possibly September 13th. A keen fursuiter he has been seen attending conventions around the world, however on one year he walked in to Eurofurence and somebody made him vice chairman. Luckily he has an interest to keep him sane, that being a Jeep that is rumoured to be fitted with missiles, oil spills and a karaoke bar on C deck.

She attended her first convention in 2001 and has attended every Eurofurence since. One of them is an artist.... the other one is not.... both of them are lovers of cheese.... neither one has been known to travel in time....

There's no charge for a dealers table, all we ask is that you register your interest soon, we have filled out our den each year despite adding more tables. So grab yours quickly!

We're pleased to announce that the theme for this year is a big dose of Sci-Fi for you all! In the same way anthropomorphism is based upon our musings of what it means to be ourselves but using animal characteristics, science fiction does the exact same with technology. The two genres have walked paw in hand for years and so it is our time to celebrate Science Fiction in all its geeky glory: from the cheesiest made for TV movies, all the way to the most complex scientifically accurate “hard sci-fi” novels.
So be it aliens, time travel, cyborgs, robots, monsters, light sabres, UFOs or spaceships it's time to show what you love about this timeless genre.
So from as little as £60 you can secure your place at the convention, you can choose to room in the hotel or find your own place to stay in one of the other nearby hotels. We have again obtained a discounted rate to stay at the Mercure hotel which will be detailed in your registration information.
