Last weekend we got to go out for a night by ourselves and see a concert and it was magical.
I think tomorrow we are going to take our kids to look at some fall foliage on the mountain and have a magical snuggle party together.
I love him so much. I never thought I would ever get someone in my life as supportive as him.
Im so grateful for the fandom, for bringing us together and being such a huge part of our lives online.

Weelllll the dragon house got a lovely little cold bug. Thankfully not covid or the flu. Windy got over it first followed by the kids, who acted like nothing really happened.
Me on the other hand... my sinuses ugh.
I went to the doctor to see about some relief, so thankfully we're getting that sorted.

So I have gone down in hours at my current job. Im still doing vet tech work, at a different hospital and it is SO awful lol. Im working on arranging things in that aspect of my life so there may be changes on my horizon.
But I have been pushed (rather shoved head first) into streaming more.
I have had a great support structure and motivation to improve both my set up and organize my art business more. I still have work to do! Im working on setting up a twitch channel as well, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Ultimately my current goal is do art more, so I can be home with my family more and spend more time doing what I love. SO far we are seeing results. I do love Vet Med, I am super passionate about emergency medicine, so I am struggling with that. But y'all have been great.

Im looking into streaming more regularly.
The short of it is, I need money. The long of it is actually pretty much the same. Except Im trying to balance my mental health.

I was and am still, feeling pretty burnt out on Vet Med. There is a huge part of me which loves it and has a deep passion for medicine. However a larger part of me needs to be home more, with my kids and husband and spending more times doing things with them. And friends. I spent about 3 years, shying on friendships and social interactions because I basically worked and did little else. Finding a healthy work-life balance is HARD.

So I would like to do art more. Im still pursuing a tattoo apprenticeship but it is a slow journey that is going to take me time. I want to find the right mentor at a good shop. So its a waiting and trying game.
Expect to see more pieces of art from my portfolio mixed in with my furry art.

So the short of it, is right now I am going to try streaming twice a week. Dates are still TBD because it depends alot on my IRL work schedule but I will give ample warning when I go live. I plan to offer in-stream commissions regularly as well as continue to work on regular art from my commission queue and other projects.

This is my first time back at FWA since 2021? Ish? Im excited!

First and foremost. I have been way too absent from the furry fandom lately.
It has been really challenging for me lately, to balance my family life and my veterinary tech job. As I get older its also been somewhat hard to connect with the furry fandom. I still enjoy the art and especially getting to create it, but I just have drifted somewhat.
I want to sort of re-invest in the fandom some. Im not sure what exactly that entails though.

I have been suffering from some extreme compassion fatigue and burn out at my job. Im a good nurse, I love the medicine I get to practice. But to be perfectly blunt. The field sucks. Even though Im in a good environment, it is still at the end of the day, a brutal job. Between the amount of people who have to put their pets down for many reasons, to neglectful awful people, to just plain suffering... It has been really eating at my mental health. Im not sure exactly if its in the cards for me, but I would like to get back into doing furry a little more, and maybe veterinary work, a little less. My mental health is suffering and its really dawning on me that this field that I do love, I simply cannot do forever. I will both age out physically and mentally probably sooner. I have no idea what I am going to transition to, whether I will go back to college or what. But Im starting to explore the potential that a big life change will be in the works for me. My schedule is the trickiest part as Wind and I are passionate about how we are raising our kids, with me home as much as possible.
If anyone has any leads, tips or pointers about some sort of reliable work from home type of work, please reach out! I do have a college degree and alot of varied work experience.
