Help Please! FREE COMMISION?
General | Posted 14 years agoAlright guys I’m in a predicament here. Due to long hours at work, buying a house and being on staff for currently three cons. I’m finding very little time to do anything. Though I am pushing myself to continue my writing, because out of everything I do, I enjoy doing this the most. What I need from someone are people who are good at grammar, that love to read and would be willing to edit my stories. In turn I am also willing to repay the favor and review and editing your stories. Keep in mind, I suck at Grammar. That’s why I am asking for the help.
The only other thing I can do is give credit, when I publish the works. Either electronically, to sites like FA and Sofurry or physically like on Sofa wolf press, but don’t count on that latter happening anytime soon.
Things to keep in mind; I want people to review all my stories if possible and these include yiff stories, which involve many of my kinks. Muscles, Mind Control, Transformation, Gender shifting (female to male), incest and oh did I mention Mind Control, all of this of course is mostly M/M. Now recently I have been contemplating doing Bisexual stories, but again I am going to focus mainly on the gay aspect of the story. If you prefer not to review these stories, let me know and I will not send them to you, if you prefer the sex with out the kinks, that’s doable since I try to write a number of those as well. If you’re just interested in reviewing the story just to offer up your opinion but can’t add a lot to the grammar aspect, then that’s fine but I desperately need someone who is good at grammar.
As an added bonus for those who are good at grammar and have shown that they are willing to regularly edit my stories, I might be able to squeeze in a personalized story from time to time. This of course has some limitation based on certain variable but lets not worry about that right now. If we get their, I’m certain I will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
Please respond if you can help. I would greatly appreciate it.

Wild Nights Con Book Submissions
General | Posted 14 years agoHey Guys just wanted to let you know real quick that Wild Nights is coming up? And since I'm doing the Con Book I just want to let everyone know, I am currently looking for submissions of any king artwork, poems, stories, please drop me a line. Current year's theme is "'Furry is Magic' coverup for zombie Apocalypse" I know it's a little out their, but either MLP or Zombie Apocalypse work, if you want. You can do Zombie's eating MLP, and that works better. Or theirs always just the furry angle and ignore the theme and well see what we can do. Anyway, deadline is March 15. Anyway, thanks for the time.

A Holiday Wish
General | Posted 14 years agoThe angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. Having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women!" But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered what kind of salutation this might be. The angel said to her, "Don't be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name 'Jesus.'
Luke 1:26-31
Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope this holiday season will bring you Joy and happiness, like none other. And I hope that joy and happiness will last through out the year.

Something to get off of my chest.
General | Posted 14 years agoAt times I just don't know how I should feel anymore. Being who I am, I find it very disheartening to find organization like this one -->FloridaFamily.org. They have been in the forefront of the news recently, doing their best to discourage advertiser from supporting the TLC documentary "All American Muslim". Now I am not very well read on the subject but from what little I can gather it's a show trying to diffuse stereotypes and promote tolerance.
I'm not too certain as to what extent their stance is and what they have against the TLC Reality show. It seems that they have a gripe based on "supposed" misrepresentation, though I would like to understand their complete reasoning for this. Beyond that I don't believe this organization has much credibility to stand on. While their stance on "All American Muslim" seem baseless, my main concern is their issue with Degrassi.
Now I haven't seen the show but from what I understand it's sitcom that is currently airing on MTV. Now I needn't say more, thinking of those three little letters states the obvious, and MTV has always been in the business of pushing the limit and exposing things that aren't necessarily talked about, but have always existed.
What irritates me is that they condemned the show for it's advertisement of the TREVOR HELPLINE and a characters outright refusal to reparative Therapy, which I can only assume as to what that entails.
Guys, people are dying, kids are dying, they get teased and abused about their homosexuality and sometimes they have no where to turn. This helpline is a resources, and it's something that is desperately needed. Why is it wrong? Why is this immoral. This angers me to hear an organization like this reprimanding another organization that's trying to save lives.
The worst part about this for me is the fact that they probably think they are doing their christian duty. Now I'm a christian and I'm gay, I have been in a loving relationship with my husband for over five years now and they have been the happiest five years of my life.
To me what would be the more ideal christian thing to do, support and help people who are going through a difficult time in their life and possibly save a life by making someone think twice before they commit suicide, or try and preach to them that their lifestyle is sinful and the only way out of it, is by accepting a way of life where they will always feel slightly uncomfortable with and never addresses their true feelings.
God did not come into this world to condemn it but to save it. Jesus did not come to preach to the healthy but to the sick. People need love not hate, people need to hear that god loves them, Jesus love them, and just because your gay, lesbian, transgender or bi does not make you any less of a christian. You are who you are, and the truth shall set you fee and for goodness sake be true to yourself and let no one in this world tell you otherwise.
I'm sorry, I needed to get that off of my chest.

Update on Oklcaon story
General | Posted 14 years agoHello everyone,
I hope everyone having a wonderful holiday season. I just want to make a quick post to those that have been waiting, if you have been waiting, for the last part of the oklacon story. I will probably post that soon, keep in mind this is still a rough, and I plan on getting a large part of it edited and ironed out and hopfully in final release form early next year.

We are not alone
General | Posted 14 years agoWell I just wanted to point to something I saw on you tube, something that was near and dear to my heart. When I was younger and going through middle school, I was bullied, teased and hated, and like the you tube clip your about to see, it started when I was younger. I think it started when I was in the third grade. Funny thing though, I moved from that location and the teasing never stopped. Not until I was done with school. I remember wiping the tears from my eyes before I came home, because my mom would get angry at me. She would get angry because I was crying, because I allowed others to tease me and who knows maybe she was right. It did fallow me. If it wasn't for my faith, who know where I would be. Anyway, enough about me. That time has come and gone, unfortunately kids today still face the same issue I faced. Some make it and regrettably some do not. If somehow, god or the fates, whatever your prefer, have led you to this post and these words have struck a cord with you. If your that kid, or know someone, who is struggling, who faces ridicule from his own peers or worse his own parents. If your are that person...Keep in mind, you are not alone and eventually, the sun will shine.

Furry Artist/Writer MEME
General | Posted 14 years agoCurrent Total for Nanowrimo: 6668
What sort of artist would you most identify yourself as?
Writer and sometime I draw
What would be your secondary identity?
An artist, though not much of one. I also would like to get back into acting one day.
What forms of art do you dabble in, but don't excel at? (Keep in mind, this could change!)
drawing, DMing/roleplaying, Acting/Performing
How would you describe your 'style'?
Hmm, I guess it depends how you take this question. Realistic as far as style and genre mixes between fantasy and contemporary.
What medium do you favor most?
MS word
What are your favorite subject matters?
Gay Romance, Gay Acceptance, Fantasy and of course sex.
What are your least favorite subject matters?
Horror, I can't really see myself successfully pulling off this type of story well.
List your Artistic Strengths
I wish I knew...Uhm nothing. Blueotter has commented that my last story was action pack. Does that count?
List your Artistic Weaknesses
I would say everything ;P. But my worst is Grammar. I hate it, and I'm a writter. Other than that I think comedy and Character Development.
Which of the above weaknesses would you most like to see improve?
Grammar
Adult Content. . . yes/no?
Hmm...Let me think about that.........YES!
Adult Subject Matter you favor?
Gay Romances and Fantasy
Schooling/Training received in the arts?
Never took a writing course but I have been to a ton of Writing panels at conventions.
Schooling/Training you'd still like to have?
Business degree really. I don't really have the intention to get a degree in Literature, I would like to go to school to improve my grammar, but other than that, I have no other desire obtain a something professional in the field of my art.
Would you consider yourself prolific, or a 'quality over quantity' sort of artist?
At this time quality over quantity but that may change, considering what I'm doing this month.
Would you considering yourself a Fine Artist, or a Commercial Artist?
Commercial?
Where would you like to be in five years?
I would like to sell a few peicies, I wouldn't mind if people knew my name. Really that would be about it. As long as people enjoy my stories I would be happy.

General | Posted 14 years agoWell I'm going to throw my hat into this as well. I will warn you guys I will deviate from the intended purpose. The Intended purpose of the event is to write a novel in a month, basically write 50000 words in 30 days. That's 1667 words a day. My intention is to write 50,000 words in 30 days but divide it up among short stories and projects that I'm currently working on.
Thus the re-introduction of my "Quick Yiffs"! What are "Quick Yiffs" you ask. Well they are short stories that involve no plot and involve sex. A story might surround the characters involve, that may provoke some question such as, where do they come from, how did they get their, why do they have these power? Though it is not my intention to explain these details in said story, they are meant to be quick and to the point. So expect to see them in the future.
Expect to see Daily updates as to how many words I have written, Quick Yiffs and a ton more. This will be a very interesting month.

!!!UPDATE--10/25/2011--UPDATE!!!
General | Posted 14 years agoWell I’m back from Oklacon and boy I’m exhausted. I would like to write a convention report for all of you, but I don’t think now is the time. I just wanted to update everyone on my last report. I did release my “Stitch in Time” book, thanks to Keefur and also thanks to ellintrakattears. It was great, the book looked great and the artwork looked great, I was impressed with it. Though I have to admit I was a little rushed. I can’t fault anyone but myself on this one; many mistakes did unfortunately get over looked. I spent most of today going through the first sixteen pages re-editing. So I do apologize to those who bought it. I was slightly embarrassed because of the errors, Buck Turner was their and MDG who are both writer and/or editors and I felt that they probably didn’t get a good sample of my work, especially after my original unintended fuck up to roar. Anyway, I still have plenty of books left. I am interested in marketing these last copies, under the understanding that they are first run (full of errors) limited editions. If interested please feel free to drop me a line, though I’m debating at what price I should sell them, considering the circumstances.
Anyway I met a few furs at the con who have expressed interest in becoming editors, which I will definitely take them up on. I will try and squeeze out a story here in the next few days for FANG, but I have my doubts considering how much time I have but I will see what I can do. Anyway that’s about it for me. Thanks you guys for your support.

Birfday Celebrsion
General | Posted 14 years agoWow I used to remember this being a lot easier...Anyway. A lot of changes are on the way, trust me. The last update to the oklacon story...Me working on a submission story and a couple of other things which I will post on my website. Anyway My birthday is coming up and I would like to invite everyone out, but I know the day I want to hold it on will be impossible for everyone to make it too. Then again I really don't have a choice because I can't get off any other day. So I'm officially announcing my birthday party celebration on the 14th of October, seven o'clock at the Applebees on northwest expressway. More information can be gathered on Oklahoma Furs Live Journal where I will make an official post...I will also try and make a text and email post about it.

Full Plate!?*
General | Posted 14 years agoI feel like an ass today, I also feel like I've failed as a Dungeon Master. I'm beginning to wonder if my mom was right about me. I'm just not talented. It's really hard to face that fact, but honestly that's how I feel.
Anyway, I've though I had a lot on my plate before, I have a lot on my plate now. I volunteered for event director at Oklacon, which should be a learning experience. I am trying to work with Seagull and Blue on the whole thing, and I do want to mention that I am not alone in this project. I do have assistance. Anyway beyond that I have been nominated as Secretary for M.E.S.A, the organization that runs Wild Nights. Though I feel that I would have to decline on this, for two reason. I believe I would not be qualified to handle the amount of record keeping and paperwork the job has to offer and it may directly conflict with my vested interest in Oklacon, due to some rule they enacted for the Oklacon Street Team. All in all, it's a great honor, but I would have to seriously give it some thought.
I also have a story I need to write and continue. Which is the Oklacon story, I really want to take time on it and give it my all but my brain has been running on the fritz. I guess I'm not used to this choose your own adventure. I will have to find my grove again and get back into it fast. Anyway mock me, insult me or encourage me, however you want to respond. Hopefully I won't take as long to write again.
P.S. Oh by the way, I'm back on FFXI, if anyone is on the Odin server, please drop me a line.

General | Posted 15 years agoJust wanted to let everyone know that I'm alive! Though I have a lot on my plate and most of it is by choice. First off I have the Con book for Wild Nights that I'm doing and I'm feeling a little uninspired. I have the initial design for the pages of the book but I feel that the current progress I have done with the con book kind of sucks. Anyway theirs a story that I've been wanting to write. About a dog and his chew toy and being very restrictive about who he allows to use that chew toy, and then I had the inspiration to write another story. Plus I am trying to get a yiff story edited but It's been real tough. No to mention a story for the Oklacon Street team. I sent the story in for review by the rest of the team and so far I haven't received any responses.
Anyway I hope things get better, as I try to write more into my journal.

Christmas Party 2010
General | Posted 15 years agoWell it’s that time of year again. A time for good cheer, turkey, snow, crowds and lots of commercialism…wait maybe we should scratch that last one. Anyway you look at it, whether you call it Yule, Christmas or the Holidays. It’s time for another party, hosted by Warnndog and Kojiro (that's me and my husband). This year Baral'heia has so graciously extended out his home for the Yule Tide event. So if you get a chance please extend out to him a big thank you. Of course their will be the traditional sausage balls, home made cookies, eggnog (Alcohol already included) and jell-o shots. Along with the iron artist event of decorating of the gingerbread house and the white elephant gift game. I also hope to include a few more surprises this year. Of course everyone is invited, just keep in mind this is not our place, so please be respectful. Any arrangement for staying over night should be made with the Dragon himself. Some Alcoholic Beverages are provided but if you want to wet your pallet with something a little bit more specific, please bring your own alcohol. If you want to bring some sort of traditional sweets or if you just want to bring some food in general that would be very much appreciated. The details for the white elephant gift game can be found here. There are some slight variance to the rules listed on Wikipedia, but we will go over that at the event. The Game will begin at 8:30 pm, so if you plan on playing. Please try to show up as early as you can. Remember bringing a gift is not required for the party but it is required if you want to participate in the exchange. We strongly discourage gag gifts if at all possible, their funny, but not everyone enjoys them. Please try and purchase a gift that is not gender specific since there is no real way to tell who you will be giving it too. Please ensure that the gifts total value does not exceed fifteen dollars, and we strongly encourage that the gift should be at least five. Since alcoholic beverages will be brought to this party, I would appreciate the use of some common sense. Don’t get too wasted, don’t drink and drive and if your not twenty-one, please don’t drink period. If I or Kojiro think you’re too young, we will check your ID.
If anyone has any questions please contact me at Warnndog@gmail.com. If you can please either respond to this post or email me, this is for our benefit, so we can estimate the number of furs that might show up. Beyond that I look forward to seeing everyone their, and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

General | Posted 15 years agoHappy Birthday
General | Posted 15 years agoWell It’s my birthday and because I’m such a well loved employee with my company they decided to send me to Hollywood just for my birthday! Actually that’s only half true. I was sent to Hollywood but only because I was a top performer for that year and not because of my Birthday. Though coincidentally my birthday does fall on one of the days for the trip. So it’s a birthday to remember. Anyway, I have someone watching my apartment, I still have Dorian you know and as soon as I come back it’s off to Oklacon, in which I hope to be debuting my new partial. For those going to oklacon I hope to you there and for everyone else keep checking back.
Thank you everyone,

Cowboys Dawn...RMFC
General | Posted 15 years agoWell I though I should complain a bit....Anyone went to RMFC! If so did you flip to the back of your conbook and remember seeing a story titled "Cowboys Dawn"....Sounds familiar?
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4285066
Well yes this is my story, I wrote it but if you look at the conbook it doesn't list my name anywhere. As far as the conbook is concerned it was written by "anonymous". Besides that it was place in really small font, and the formatting was changed to fit the two pages which ruined part of the story.
My only real complaint is the fact I wasn't given any credit. Either way it's still in the conbook. So if you guys are curious...pass the word along.

Today I'm going to shout and say that I am a Christian. I'm in, In the name of Christ, I will refuse to endorse hate of any kind. I refuse to judge someone by their race, gender or the color of their skin. I refuse to make judgments, before I hear the facts. I welcome open debates and all opinions, democrats or republican. I will fallow the teaching of my lord and savior and love thy neighbor no matter if that neighbor is someone next door or a Muslim praying in a masque on the other side of the nation. I'm a Christian because of my Faith in Jesus Christ not because of my associations. Amen.

In reference to your first paragraph, you fail to recognize one major factor in regards to the bible...Time! A great example of this, is in the book I'm reading right now called "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings", which was written about fifty to sixty years ago. In that book the author keeps describing characters as queer and gay? Now is he stating to his readers that the characters Sam and Frodo are heterosexually challenged, or that they are strange and happy. Many scholars and geeks would agree with the later. Have you ever tired reading an old poem or book, one that was written by Edgar Alan Poe or Charles Dickens, you may come across some words that don't really make any sense to you unless the book further explains it. Another great example of this is the United States Constitution, that document is only 200 plus years old and people to this day are arguing its meaning. Now extend this another 1800 years or more.
Another thing about your first paragraph, you fail to recognize is context. "I went to the grocery to buy some apples" is a very simple sentence, but how about if I continue the sentence and say: "I went to the grocery store to buy some apples. This will be my last meal" or "I went to the grocery store to buy some apples. So I can use them for baking a pie". Depending what comes after it, will depend on the meaning of sentence. This is what many fundamentalist do. They take one sentence among the whole paragraph and use it to fuel their own belief, which is an oversimplification of the bible and does not justify their use of the quote since it is out of context. What if I wrote a letter and told someone in that letter not to drink the water, instead stick with sodas when they go on vacation, what am I really saying to them? It this true all the time or part of time, how about if I said further in the letter that they should drink the water when they get to Paris. Am I contradicting myself? What if someone one hundred years from now read that statement, would they be confused? Now if you knew that I was writing a letter to my friend who is going to Mexico then Paris, the statement might make sense, at least to us. Lets say 100 years from now a twelve year old is reading that same letter, would it still be less confusing? Now complicate this with poorly kept records, and extend the time frame from 100 to ohh lets say 1800 years again, it can get very confusing especially if you have no point of reference or you know nothing about the time period. Things aren't always that simple, there are lot of fundamentalist who like to think that it's that simple, but in my opinion, it's not.
Now I can't really argue your point on Jesus. I mean if lets hypothetically say someone will write a book about Obama and filled it with every quote of his presidency but he never mentioned anything about spousal abuse or torturing your pet, then obama must be for it! Right? No! Unfortunately that line of thinking is not a logical thought process. We can't just assume that someone is automatically for or against something because they didn't publicly speak out against it or for it. Now it's true we can never prove what are their exact beliefs may be, and your point and my point can both be valid. It then comes down to a matter of faith.
Either way, no matter who we are or where we come from we should respect other people and their beliefs. Whether they are Christian, Pegan, Muslim or Buddhist. Everyone opinion is important and they should not be mocked or made fun off.

Was Ernest Thompson Seton a furry?
General | Posted 15 years agoWas Ernest Thompson Seton a furry? Maybe he may have later became one. Either way I never knew this man but his impact that he made on this world was astounding and maybe, just maybe in some way had a little passive part in our fandom as well. So I will remember you Seton and I will remember the wolf you hunted, that wolf that later changed your life.
If you clueless about what I'm talking about click on the link. Ernest Thompson Seton...

Look at them titties Con Report
General | Posted 15 years agoAnd just in case you missed it. Here's the link...http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZJaD4GV0zcY
The Con was great. It didn't really start out too hot since the dealers den didn't open till noon on Friday and the schedule stated it would open at 10 am, and once you got into the dealers den the selection of dealers sucked. I mean not one of you guys could of sacrificed FAU to come down to RCFM. They raked in over 15,000 dollars in sales for only may 10 to 15 dealers. I don't know the exact figure, but their wasn't a lot of people their. Anyway other than that Everything was excellent.
If you can try and make it to this con. The RCFM hotel, (if you stay in the hotel) will provide you with a grand breakfast. An omelet made specifically for your, with hash browns, grits, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, fruit, beacon, sausage, a number of juices and sodas along with many other treats. Another nice thing about the hotel is FREE BEER! Come on, not many other cons can offer you that, and were not talking only beer. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are available for your mixing pleasure. Do keep in mind the selection is limited but it's free so don't complain.
Saturday of the con was by far the most fun, with performances by isfacat and crimson mist. Now I don't know if this was done on Friday or Saturday but their was a really talented fur by the name of Drummer coon who was literally a one man band. He was able to multitask like nothing. Drumming with his feet, strumming with the guitar and when he got a chance he would find a way to hit other parts of the drum with a drum stick attached to his forearm. If you ever get a chance to see one of this guys shows, go for it. You will not regret it.
Sunday was nice but it was boring. What happened to Iron Artist or RPG held officially by the con. I would have like to see more events on Sunday and maybe a little more on Friday. I can't comment on the dances, since I don't attend the dances. I would like to say thank you to all the con Staff for such a wonderful con, and again if you get the chance....Look at them titties...errm I mean come to RCFM.
