It's coming like Wednesday or something. Wastelanders page is coming today, though.

We made it, friends!

It was one year ago today that I decided I was just going to be my weird self and share my slime art with the world. And thus, my first slime character, Annie, was unleashed upon the world!

By the way, I never expected or thought that I was going to garner any kind of following doing this. All I wanted or expected was maybe 25-50 other people that shared my niche interest that I could share art with, but to my surprise I have my own little audience that is very, VERY passionate about my work, and I'm totally grateful for that. My slime art is here because I love seeing it and I love creating it, and I hope in some small way I am helping to expand the slime/goo niche beyond what it was before I came along.

We're going to do a little something to celebrate, so be on the lookout for some art later!

I discovered today that there is an actual "goo/slime" option under the species tab now! That makes me sooooo happy!! At least we're being given official recognition that we as a fandom exist, niche though we are.

Can anyone confirm how long it's been there? I know it's fairly recent; probably in the past few months or so.

If anyone wants to volunteer as a colorist on Wastelanders, I'd love to have one. You would be credited when I post it to my accounts, but it would be unpaid as of right now. I would love to produce these fast enough that I can start putting out two-page spreads per week to speed things up, as opposed to the one-pages I've been doing. Ideally though, I want to be able to put these out consistently, and one page is at least manageable.

My hope and dream is to one day hire a colorist to help me do these, but as it stands its just a fun little thing that I put together in my spare time. Actually, if we're counting opportunity cost (ie. the time I spend on these comics in lieu of making YCH's or comms or pursuing paid work) I'm actually pretty much producing these these at a loss. But, this is a passion project, and that's a price I am most certainly willing to pay.

If there is actually someone interested in volunteering, I would send you the PSD with the linework and you would establish the color palette for each scene. Shading would be nice too, but not necessary.

I'm re-uploading the first three pages of Wastelanders as single pages with a few minor differences. Some colors are a bit punchier, dividers are a bit thicker, and shows where people can follow my accounts. This is just to keep things consistent moving forward. 👍

-Weekly releases every Monday
-SFW (but may sometimes contain some mature themes)

Well, I'm finished roughing out the first scene for Wastelanders. 14 pages, 53 panels. 😩

I've decided I'm going to go ahead and get them nearly finished before I start releasing them, so hopefully you'll get at least one new page on a weekly basis.

I'm also thinking that I might remove those adult-rated pages from my first comic and keeping this account totally clean, and in the rare moments that I go completely ape and start drawing insano smut again, I'll just go ahead and upload it straight to e621 or some other place.

Nearly one year down and I just cleared 250 followers here, so that's cool. Thanks for the support! I think I'll do a giveaway when I hit 300.

Hello everyone, apologies I sort of fell off the map in November there. Lots of RL stuff, then a few commissions, then a fuckton of video games I wanted to play came out at about the same time. I'm sure you know how it is. ;)

Anyhow, I have a few gift arts for a few people I'm going to get around to before (hopefully) returning to my current Wastelanders comic. I know it's been painfully fucking slow, but I work relatively slow and I'm not working to compromise on quality just to get it out faster.

I found the answer. The TL:DR is that every company basically has their own policies about how you can use their logos. If you were curious, the way I'm using their logos is fine according to their own documentation.

FA: I did my due diligence in trying to find literally any mention about using their logo on their terms of service and anywhere else on their policies, but couldn't find anything. You guys may have noticed that the bottom of my comics have my DA/FA/twit accounts now, but I'm not sure if I'm actually allowed (legally) to use those logos to promote my accounts or not.

I will be honest with you, FA friends. I don't really like Twitter as a platform. I've seen it bring out the worst in people, and any situation where you have 280 characters or less to defend yourself is, frankly, kind of bullshit. However, I can't ignore it's popularity, nor can I ignore that a lot of my artist friends use it as their primary platform for sharing art. And because I don't use this ultra popular platform that everybody else seems to be using, I'm feeling a little left out, I guess.

I don't even use it outside of my Drex persona, by the way. I don't have a personal Twitter account, and I LOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAATHEEEEEE that the side-bar can't be disabled. You know, the "what's happening" bar that feeds you depressing news 24/7 when all you want to do is share your art?

However, I think I can justify using it just to post my art and re-tweet art from my friends, and then dip.

Ordering a sketch commission will work as follows:

1. 100% of payment due upfront. Payments must be sent via Paypal.
2. Sketch will be completed within one week of payment (although I tend to send them within a couple days.) You may request a specific pose for your character, and I can only make minor revisions to the sketch upon completion.
3. You are free to post the artwork anywhere you like! I reserve the right to post the artwork on my own accounts as well in order to help me promote my work.

Ordering a higher tier commission will work as follows:

1. Payments will be 50% upfront, 50% upon completion. Payments must be sent via Paypal.
2. Commissions will typically follow the same process: Rough sketch -> revised sketch (if necessary) -> final linework -> finished artwork. I can allow for up to 2 revision requests per commission during the "sketch" phase. After the final linework has been established, I can only make minor changes to the artwork.
