Frivolous Blocks
Posted 2 years agoI'll go to favorite some art from a user I watch on this site and it will say I'm blocked, despite never saying a word to that person ever in my life; and it not being obvious to why I was blocked. I don't care about being blocked, but it doesn't make any sense when it happens.
I've come up with possible theories, but they don't add up. I don't talk about drama, I don't make edgy or sexual comments on posts, and I'm not public enemy one either, so I cannot figure out why this is happening.
Possibly it has to do with pressing "+Favorite" too much maybe? Even then, that would be an absurd reason to block someone just for enjoying your content. Otherwise, there is no logical explanation to why this is occuring unless someone slandered me behind my back, painting me like a bad guy and somehow gained traction. Can someone in the comments let me know what in the actual fuck is going on and why I've been blocked by several artists in the past month for no rhyme or reason? They should at least give the damn reason why I'm being blocked so I know what to change to prevent it from happening FFS XD (Non-verbal cues and "you know what you did" does not count as a response either, since it could literally mean anything)

FurAffinity's New Ludicrous Policy
Posted 2 years agoI'm not the only one who has said this, but this new is just straight up retarded and have no idea why they wanted to do this in the first place. I even came up with four potential theories why they may have done it:
A: They probably just want more power, just like every other social or media sharing platform, the rules have become increasingly authoritarian over the years. It is the way we are heading unless more people stand up and stop taking it bent over.
B: No FA-related drama has happened recently, so they need to create a controversy to keep themselves relevant. Many businesses and content creators intentionally create controversies, dramas, and stunts to gain more attention and views.
C: Dragoneer or another staff member got into an altercation with a short person, so now they have a prejudice against small characters. This is typical spiteful behavior politicians usually display.
D: Social media pressure in recent years because of how much society has overly stressed against "pedophilia" and categorizes things as such even though they are remotely not (such as drawings of short characters like Pokemon or imp-sized fursonas). Yes pedophilia and minor interactions with adults is horrible and unforgivable, but blaming random things as "pedo" when they are not is just lying and plain wrong.
In my opinion, its most likely a mixture of option B and D. What do you guys think?

Why the G4TV Revival Failed
Posted 2 years agoWhy the G4TV revival failed:
- It didn't even need to come back, its a relic of the past that should have lived on in our memories. Most people don't watch TV anymore and just use YouTube, Twitch, or streaming platforms like Netflix. Almost less than half of people in the US ditched cable for several factors, such as the absurd cost and scummy business tactics. Why cable is dying is a topic for another day.
- Its easier to watch game content and news on YouTube and Twitch. They did have their channels on those platforms, but they failed to adapt.
- Hosts are out of touch and modern audiences couldn't relate to them and not all of the old hosts that were actually good returned.
- Too woke and it was shoved into the audience's faces. Most of the shows are supposed to be about video games and the entertainment industry, not politics. They shouldn't have used it to pedal the current message in society. (It was mainly Frosk's fault. She also fed trolls about her insecurities, fueling the fire even more making G4 into a joke. They even banned words such as "woke" in their Twitch chat. Also the channel was run by NBC-Universal, a left-leaning company)
- No web animated content (such as CodeMonkeys and Happy Tree Friends.) Having cartoons on G4 really makes it feel like a real network and stand out in its competition, but they overlooked animation unfortunately and it was a huge missed opportunity.
- Bringing back G4 would have worked better as a programming block on a channel like Syfy. They are both owned by Universal, so it would make sense to have G4 air during the overnight hours of Syfy, similarly to their defunct TZGZ block which was semi-successful.
- They didn't turn to enough YouTube or online creators for web programming to air on G4. They only aired Scott the Woz for a series. Channels such as AVGN, MondoMedia, NostalgiaCritic, GameTheory and Stampy. The list goes on! It would have had near infinite potential.
- They were too cheap to get syndication licenses to borrow shows from other networks as filler programming. The original G4 only survived in it's later years by airing reruns of Cheaters and COPS.
- Similarly to the point I made about it being too political and out of touch, the revival felt too corporate and robotic. Instead of making genuine content relating to gaming, entertainment, technology, or the internet, they half-assed it and focused on profit and corporate plans that ended up failing. When the revival first launched, they did an alright job by only using nostalgia to reel in viewers, bur couldn't capture new audiences. After G4 died again, they tried blaming it on "sexism" of all things and pointing fingers at the viewers when in reality it was their own fault.
- There was very little promotion when the channel was brought back in 2021 and 2022. When it was put on cable providers, it was placed on ridiculously high channel numbers no one would ever spot.

SVG is the worst image file format
Posted 3 years agoAlright so when you save an image, most guys use PNG, JPEG, or some sort of commonly used file that works on most devices (unless its Linux or some really outdated version of Windows like 3.1) and it is universal and can be opened and edited. And you have some absolute moron scum of the earth people who have the audacity to use SVG! Its fucking useless and not even compatible with Windows PCs or Android phones. It can't be edited on Paint.net unless you install an add-on, even then the file still cannot be opened on Windows 10 and you get an error message. So what's the fucking point in using SVG files if it hardly works on any common Operating System (except Apple of course, but Apple is another story for another day). Thankfully there's a website that can convert SVG files into a PNG with the resolution of your choice, but you shouldn't have to go through that hassle in this day in age. SVG is worse than WEBP, because at least with WEBP you can rename it to PNG with no problems whatsoever. "Oh but SVG has amazing vector resolution..." What's the point if you can't even use the file? Besides, you can just make a PNG with an absurdly high resolution, albeit with a high file size. Its like if they invented a $1,000 bill, but you can't use it to buy anything. Thank you for listening to my idiotic schizo rant about file formats!
19th Birthday!
Posted 3 years agoI'm finally 19 years old now! For my birthday, I treated myself with a $2 scratch-off lottery ticket. Unfortunately I won nothing. Maybe tomorrow I can do something more interesting for my birtheat when it's my day off from work.
My Side of the Story (Personal Vent, Warning)
Posted 3 years agoThere is one date I will never be able to forget... March 7, 2021 at 2:37 AM
Why:
The person that I cared about the most in the world abandoned me and blocked me. I still have to live with this and suffer to this day. Let's just call this person "Gauge". He used to be my boyfriend but I wish he was just a friend again.
What:
I'm not perfect and have some personal problems which causes me to act out sometimes. One night I was having some trauma and felt suicidal and had a breakdown, which resulted in me being abandoned and blocked and his now so called girlfriend brainwashing him into doing it. One lf the reasons he gave is that I never communicated, which is hypocritical and he never let me communicate with him to tell my side of the story after that. Also he claimed I "manipulated" him since I felt suicidal, which is BS because for one, why would I do that out of the blue for no reason to someone I care about. And secondly, I was telling the truth and genuinely felt that way.
Affects:
I tried sending him a note on FurAffinity a couple months ago in order to finally get past this, but he claimed I was "playing victim", despite being brutually honest and trying to defend my side of the story. Kind of ironic because he played victim and tried making it sound like I stole his FA when I didn't. He used to let me borrow it with permission, and he could of just told me he didn't want to do it anymore. Also he claimed to be hurt more, despite him doing the most damage. This has been a traumatizing experience and being told to "MoVe On" never helps. I'm not that type of person. I just want my friend back...
