General | Posted 13 years agoHey guys! I'll be at Otakon the 27th-29th (THIS COMING WEEKEND AAAHHH!) I'll be at table H07! So if you're going to be there, drop by and say hey! I'll be taking commissions and selling my wares, so yes!
This also means that if you're wanting a commission through here, I won't be able to get back to you until the 31st. You're more than welcome to fill out my commission form, but please don't expect an immediate response!

Commissions..?!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo, I need some cash in a bad way. Just some sketch commissions would help me out! I have several friends on here that will vouch for me if that is your concern. I'm working on a few sketches just to post so something is up for you guys. All my prices are HERE, as well as any other viable information. I can usually do several sketch commissions a day, so the turn around time should be fairly quick. Thanks so much you guys!

A. I'll be accepting commissions in batches of three (3). Everyone else will be put on the waiting list! This way I can ensure to give my full attention to the commissions I have, and you're not paying for something months in advance :)
Q. Wow I like your art, can we do an art trade?!
A. I would love to do nothing but draw all day just for the sake of drawing, but it doesn't pay the bills. Sorry!
Q: What do you mean by "excessive changes?"
A: I don't mind changing small things here and there in the sketch, but if I end up spending over an hour making adjustments to your sketch due to nitpicking, that's what I consider "excessive."
Q: Will you do bulk orders for a discounted price?
A: I will, but it depends on how many commissions you want, what kind they are, the base total of the order, etc. This is something that I'll consider on a case by case basis.
Q: How long will it take for my commission to be finished?
A: I work 2 jobs. Depending on how elaborate your commission is, I'm going to say give me 1 week from the time I START your commission. This doesn't mean it will take this long, but I'm taking into account that I could have to work more hours than usual, or some disaster should happen. I will always contact you should I get behind schedule.
Q: Can I wait until after my commission is done to pay you?
A: Only if you have gotten commissions from me on many occasions in the past, and have built up my trust. Otherwise, no.
Q: Do you consider nudes porn?
A: Tasteful nudes are not considered porn, and will not cost extra. However, if there are bodily fluids, touching of genitals, toys, etc, then that is considered porn. When in doubt, please ask. :3
Q: I want something (icon, badge, etc) that isn't on your list.. what do I do?
A: Ask! It can't hurt.

If you wish to get in contact with me, I check FA several times throughout the day. For quicker responses I have an AIM messenger account which I leave most of the time. The username is starfishcharade. You can email me at wayahsfa[at]gmail[dot]com.
However, please do not contact me if you're just going to ask about the status of your commission. I keep the commission progress on my front page up to date, so if there isn't anything new next to your name, odds are it hasn't been worked on.
!!!!READ THIS BEFORE COMMISSIONING ME!!! Even though it's way TL;DR
By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions (so it's your own damn fault if you didn't read it):
Payment:
I prefer all payments to be through paypal. Do not include any additional notes, as paypal does NOT endorse the sale of artwork/commissions and it can end with your/my paypal being banned. Also, please do NOT send it as a gift, or anything else under the Personal tab, as Paypal cracks down on that. However, if snailmail is your only method of payment, you MUST pay with a check or money order. I will only accept mail payments from the US and Canada.
All prices are in USD, and must be paid up front. Work will not begin until payment is received. In the case of mailed payment, work will not start until I've received it and it has cleared with my bank. For orders that are over $100, I will take 50% up front, but I need the commission paid in full once you approve the sketch.
Commission Procedure:
Please fill out this form. In order to commission me you must have at least one image of the character, with color. I will accept text references, but please keep it short and to the point. I also accept photo references for things such as clothes/weapons/props. SL shots of your character are also okay, but ONLY if they are very clear, and you take it from many angles.
Once you have sent your request and we have discussed what you'd like, you must pay me in full up front, and I will add you to my commission queue. I will note you your sketch once I've gotten to it, and at this point in time you must request any minor revisions. Once you have approved the sketch, I will continue on to colors.
I will then send you a preview of the colors, and at that time you are allowed to make revisions.*
Please check the sketch and the colors thoroughly before approving them. If you approve it then I will continue as if it is exactly how you wanted it, and I will not make changes.
*The only exceptions are chibis and other small commissions.

I don't like drawing porn or fetish. I'm extremely bad at it. I have no problems drawing nudes or something suggestive.
If an extremely complex character is requested, there may be additional charges.
I won't draw in another style. eg; Disney, Sonic or another artist's. You are hiring me for my art, not for someone else's. If you would like art in someone else's style, then please commission them.
I reserve the right to refuse your commission for any reason.
Revisions:
You are able to ask for changes in the sketch phase. However, if you ask for excessive changes, there will be a fee.
Once you have approved of your sketch, you may not make any more changes to the pose or composition of the piece. Please review the sketch carefully before approving.
I will then show you a color preview when I get the colors down. Again, please review it and make sure it's to your liking. Once approved, I will not make changes to the colors. However, please note that depending on the lighting of the piece, the colors will not be exact in the end.
If you decide that you want a completely new pose, or a different character it counts as a resketch and you may be charged.
I do not make changes after a commission has been completed
Rush Orders/Deadlines:
If you would like your commission to be done by a certain date, please let me know in your initial request. If the deadline is over a week from the date of the initial request, then there will be no extra fee. However, if it's under a week, I will require an added 20% of the commission total.
Waiting Lists:
I will have a waiting list open while I work on a current batch of commissions. When signing up for the waiting list, fill in the form as if you are just asking for a commission. I will be going down the waiting list once I complete commissions in the current batch. Please do not send money until I start on the new commission batch, as there may be a chance that you'll have a while to wait.
Permissions & Private Artworks:
I retain all rights to my art unless I state otherwise. This means that I can post it to my FA/DA accounts, website, and offer it in art CD's and books should I choose. Please state ahead of time if you wish for your commission to be withheld from my galleries and my own personal use, as there will be a 20% fee charged. This does not mean you own the rights to the image.
You are allowed to post your commission in your gallery, but it must be linked and credited back to me. You are also able to print the image, use it for a personal tattoo, or as a graphic in a personal website or blog layout. If you're using it on a website or blog layout, I must be visibly credited.
You aren't allowed to use it commercially, as I still own the rights unless discussed before I accept your commission. You may not sell t-shirts, prints, or any other items with the image on it. If you want the rights to your image, it will have to be discussed before I begin to work on your commission, as you need my permission in writing.
Refunds:
If you need a refund for whatever reason, then you must request it before I've started your commission. If I've already started, then I will give you a partial refund based on how far along I am. I do not give refunds for pieces once they are complete. If you are unhappy with the piece, I have given you ample time to voice your concern.

General | Posted 14 years agoI'll save you the sob stories and just say I need some commissions, PLEASE. I want to draw things for you and receive money in return! It's all I ask of life! I'm in the process of making something more official, but until then I hope this works:
$20 for a full body sketch like THIS.
$30 for full body lineart like THIS.
$45 for full body flat colors like THIS.
$70 for something like THIS.
I would prefer to do digital stuff if at all possible. I can get them done faster and save us both the cost of shipping. If you would like a print or real media it's totally cool, just let me know because it will affect the price! I prefer paypal as well.
If you'd like something else, let me know. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.
