Posted 14 years agoSo just recently my tablet's pressure sensitivity no longer works on Photoshop CS5, I have a Bamboo Pen.
It still responds and works fine in SAI, I'm seeing more and more threads pop up in websites talking about this error...anyone have any solutions? :C

On The Topic of MLP:FiM

God, I'm sorry, but...ugh.
I've been a My Little Pony fan since I was a child, and MLP:FiM is just another on my list, but after watching that video and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBDcLcXY7b8 I fear even mentioning the show around ANYONE outside of my home.
I mean, I do have friends that love the show, that ADORE the show, but besides wearing a cute shirt about the show and drawing art, I honestly wouldn't do much else. I've seen how others try and force the show on others, and try to get everyone to "join the herd, or else." I wish people would just get along and stop trying to force one opinion on another. I mean, part of the message of the show is getting along with everyone, so if everyone is such big fans, then....why no follow by example? And this whole twisting characters to extremes? Yes, I admit some of it makes for very interesting story and interpretation of a personality for a character, but others change characters into ways that seem far out of context.
People like one thing, and others will have different opinions, its all based on tastes.
I understand why people hate the fanbase for MLP:FiM, as well as I understand the (rational) fans. I actually fear some of the fanbase, honestly. I've heard people say things that make me uncomfortable, I can't participate in some of the chat-rooms or forums because I feel so awkward, and besides me looking at some pictures (the more explicit ones) for the art of it and emotions within the image, I normally do not like the explicit art for MLP. I don't want to draw it because I just don't see the show that way, and I had someone ask me to draw some images rather forcefully already, and insist that I do so, and no, I just don't want to. Its not my thing.
I don't consider myself obsessed with it, just another regular fan that draws pictures now and then. The art style has helped me improve drawing on my tablet, yes, but... I don't know, I wish that both sides would be more subtle about their things

Its like how there are adults that are fans of cartoons, and how there are adults who like children's show, they will say they like it, have some merchandise, have some clothing.... maybe a bag or purse with a decoration from the show for support.

I just want to set my standpoint on the whole thing, I'm just a regular fan, I'm no "brony" or anything.
What I try to do is not to shove a fandom down people's throats, I just draw what I like at the moment, and based on what I am feeling.
So I'm sorry if you don't like ponies and see pictures of the ponies in my gallery, and I hope you like everything else as well as find something you can enjoy looking at.

Parents are Children!
Posted 14 years agoWarning, rant ahead.
So I've been getting sick along with symptoms of Carpel Tunnel showing up again, and yesterday my mom dropped off some medicine and told me to take one so I could rest up. I did so and went to sleep around 8:35pm, when my fiance's mom got home along with his sister.
Yes, we're too damn poor to move out yet, and I live with my fiance and his family because my family was going batshit with rules and being total pricks to my mom and I so we both left (my mom lives nearby, not the same house).
Well, I woke up around 5am, and with about 9+ hours of sleep, I was wide awake, and unwilling to go to sleep again.
My fiance's dad bursts into the room, screaming his alcoholic little head off about how my fiance's sister doesn't sleep in the room, blaming us for it. We were not making ANY noise, mind you, we were just passing the time on the web. I was checking my facebook, and checking to see if I had any new requests or things I would need to take care of once my wrist stops hurting again.
His sister sleeps out in the living room to stay near her phone as it charges so she can text all night, she has confirmed this with most of us here. My fiance has asked her to the point where she has gotten annoyed, yet his dad kept on interrupting him asking "rhetorically" "WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY" every time that my fiance spoke.
Its incredible, you'd think adults would know how to act mature, instead of pulling off some lil' 8 year old stunt of just trying to block out their "opponent's" words as they speak em'.
I was so shocked at this, that I just watched as they went back and forth for what felt like ten minutes.
Well, his mom stepped in, and instead of trying to reason with everyone, she pins the blame on us. I tell her I woke up just a while ago, so how could I have made noise? Guess what? She ignores me, and continues to go on and on about how much noise we're making and all this nonsense.
My fiance repeats what I said and she said its not her problem and that I need to fix that issue of waking up early. Yeah, what? Not that long ago, they were complaining we woke up too late. What? I'm sorry, are we supposed to adjust to some backwardsfuck retarded schedule? In the middle of all the screaming and downright stupid accusations, my fiance's sister groans loudly and stomps through his parents who were blocking the door and goes to sleep on her bed, as if to shut them up. Yeah, they don't until a while later, and we're both laying there pissed off while i take out my anger on some enemies in Borderlands.
I stayed online, playing stupid little facebook games to keep me entertained and texted my mom so she could help me calm down. His mom comes in a while later to wake up his sister for school and she starts complaining about the computer and stuff at a low enough tone so that we hear it, and I say that I woke up early. Again, she says "Yeah, you went to sleep like five minutes ago,right? Its not my problem, you need to fix that!" ah, it is her problem if they're making a big deal out of me waking up early and my fiance going to sleep in the morning if he has night shift.
She complains about me being on the computer, like I stated earlier. Last time I checked, part of my "job" so to speak, needs to involve me staying online and trying to get people to commission me, or at least try to start gaining the attention to get commissions started once my hand "betters up" (as I like to say).
She says we're all going to talk about this later, I don't know when,its Wednesday, I got a Bible Study stream to watch, and my fiance has work.
Anyway, a short while ago, my fiance got a couple of texts from his dad, and as it turns out, we now have a bed time, and if we don't cooperate, we get kicked out. The times we've stayed up, we make sure to not make any noise, and we go to sleep eventually before it gets too late. By the way, we're both in our early 20's, imagine that. Twenty-year-olds with bedtimes, how stupid.
All this because he can't control anyone in the house and feels the need to try to either manipulate or control anyone. Since his daughter and wife no longer listen to him, who's left? His son and his fiance.
I've texted my fiance's cousin, and she too thinks its ridiculous. Its him being all "I'm the big bad boss man of the house, listen to me and fear me and my rules and my alcohol!" and he's tried to get me to do that whole "women are meant to stay in the kitchen and clean after the men" bullshit, but I told my fiance, and he didn't take it too lightly.
You'd think ADULTS would know how to rationalize, but no, instead, they went and decided to not let us talk and not listen to what we had to say, like children. My fiance and I have to clean the whole house, clean everyone's dishes, clean our stuff, take care of (what his sister calls) "her" dog, clean after his sister because she's a spoiled little princess, and clean up after her friends.I also have to cook most days, as well as clean the dishes on said days too, all this before his parents come back home.
You'd think we'd get a bit of freedom or some time to rest, but no.
Its just....I'm amazed at how some adults handle little issues, its so hilarious and infuriating at the same time.
The older generations expect the younger ones to accept that we are wrong with whatever we say, just because they are older and have more experience, even though my fiance's dad comes back late at night (I'm talking about 3am-6am) from his partying and drinking. Yet we're the ones being outrageous.
Have they not heard of the whole "watch who you point at, because there are fingers that point back at you" thing? Jesus Christ.
We're honest and we get in trouble, we lie and we don't. What a great example.
I want to move out already, I'm getting sick and tired of dealing with three children, so is my fiance. We're practically taking care of the whole house ourselves and babysitting two big children and a bratty little princess.

Posted 14 years agoSo it turns out that my laptop is beginning to show symptoms of it reaching its end of its working life. My settings on all my programs were reset to the default ones in most of my programs, and I have been noticing that it is struggling sometimes when its starting up and it takes my laptop a bit longer to start up than normal. It doesn't accept the charger at all now.
Before it would say that its not charging because I didn't pay for an overpriced piece of crap Dell charger for this Dell laptop that is actually pretty good. Now it doesn't charge whatsoever, even though the little icon for the charger on the laptop turns green, as soon as I disconnect it, the screen flickers several times and it shuts off all in a matter of a second or two.
I am trying to get my hands on a new laptop, and I'm trying to draw more to put up pictures here with my sudden recent improvement in drawing.
....Gah, I'm a bit upset by this poor thing giving out already, I've only recently come to get this laptop, I don't remember just when, but I know its not more than a year ago.
I don't care if it is a hand-me-down, this thing was great, besides its apparently common overheating and battery issues. ._.

Posted 14 years agoI did lose track of furaffinity for a moment, because someone in dA is teaching me about commissions, since I want to start commissions someday soon....
When I come back, there's 355 submissions waiting to be viewed! Oi-vey (if that's how you even write it...)!
Well...I'm considering just having dA for commission purposes, I mean REALLY REALLY considering it. The people there are mostly rude, or naggy for you to draw what THEY want instead of your own stuff, the more mature artwork is all reported and taken down, besides your average typical yaoi (ex. NarutoxSasuke, CielxSebastian, {insert Hetalia couple here}, SoraxRiku (AGH MY EYES), and so on)
Yeah, have two people of different genders in your picture? OH NO, you're an abomination that should go burn in the deepest pits of deviantart hell.
Let's not forget the glitches! OHHOHOHOHOHOHOHO, those GLITCHES. I'm not even going there, v7 is a piece of shit and the owners of dA know it, but they tell the users to suck it or leave. :/
You guys here are a much more nicer crowd, and yer' artwork is much more colorful (and its not all depressing, dark "emo"(how people use it nowadays) pictures with no real emotion behind it).
So yeah, considering coming here, the crowd is much nicer, besides your occasional troll attacking the anthro/furry/ect. community.
Meh, dunno yet. I may just convert my account to making some moneys, and...uh...act like I'm still active? I dunno yet, I have friends there, so its a real tough choice for me. I'd love to hear your opinions on dA and what you believe I should do.

"Yep, as the tittle reads, this laptop I got is slowly shutting itself down, first it was just youtube videos, it would freeze and then the screen would flicker to black and return to normal, stating: "The ATI Family Driver has crashed but now recovered" (pretty much around those words).
And now, today, I turned the laptop on to draw, and it no longer reads my tablet, no response, nada, like I never connected it. Then again, what do you expect from a hand-me down? I loved the laptop, but now its just....its becoming a burden.
I'm terribly sorry, to those remaining out of the "10 Sketches" thing, but I can no longer do anything, and I probably will be without a laptop for a REALLY LONG TIME once this one gets to its last moments before completely failing and not turning on anymore. The desktop is dead as well, and my fiance's laptop, he needs it for school.
