Ok, as much as I desperately try to keep these journals on-topic as possible, I gotta deviate this once to share the exciting conclusion of an epic search I've been on for a year now.

Visiting the fam in Colorado, we checked out a Tajikistani tea house in Boulder; http://www.boulderteahouse.com/

Trying their house chai I was surprised to find it stingingly spicy! But that made it exciting, warming, and a possible signifier of the euphoria I felt afterwards from the soothing spices (ginger, etc). I'll tell you the ride home was unforgettable for how good it made me feel - mind gently buzzing from the caffeine and body warmed, slightly euphoric.
