(edit 2) Gallstones. FML.
Posted 9 years agoConstant gut pain for the last 24 hours. Went to the ER after 6 when gas-x, tylenol and pepto did nothing. Got my stomach finger-poked, didn't do much but rule out appendicitis, pussied out like a bitch when they said they'd need to draw blood or do a CT scan (which would also require an IV) which I have spent the last 15 hours kicking myself for. The IBS pills don't do anything either. Nearest time I can get a doctor to check on me is December 12th. Spent all day trying to get my mind off of it, sleep what I can, its just. Why.
Initially it felt like gas; that stomach/back pain that alternates depending on which way you lie down. Now it's just a constant soreness. Only a 1 or 2 on the pain scale but it draws your attention every 10 seconds or so. Literally all I can do is think about it. Makes the time crawl by all the more slowly. Probably going to check myself back in and get the fucking lab work done because I can't stand it anymore; no idea if I'll be able to afford it, or whatever the answer will be if I even get one
Update: went back in. Finally got results. Gallstones. Hopefully I won't need surgery, or at least I don't have to have it removed. Gotta hope I can get an expedited follow-up exam.
Update 2: And fuck me in the ass the most expedited I could get was December 8th so I get to continue to enjoy what is going to feel like the longest goddamn week of my life at which point who the fuck knows.

Forgetful wuffley is forgetful. And rambling.
Posted 9 years agoSo yesterday was my birthday. 28 now. Bleh. I've officially spent more than a third of my life working retail now. Been trying to hunt down a proper job. Oh, yeah, I graduated, too, guess I should mention that. Uh. Things and stuff, I dunno. Doom 4 wouldn't launch so I just returned it through Steam, but Fallout 4 has been fun so far; I vastly prefer the personal plot and urban setting to New Vegas; I'd play Fallout 3 if I could get it to run. One of my previous journals was about Starcraft II: The Protoss One, which I called "that recent game that isn't Fallout 4 and Overwatch" and now I'm playing both of those.
I've also been replaying Pokemon X with all of the hype and fun I've been having with Sun and Moon and Go, so that's been eating up my evenings when I might otherwise be drawing. Sorry I've pretty much 100% slacked off with art. I've been considering taking some time to color a bunch of my old unfinished sketches but whenever I look at any of them I'm like "why spend an hour polishing a turd" because I'm incredibly critical of my own work, but if there's anything I've done YOU think I should finish up feel free to suggest it.

Zootopia's out
Posted 9 years agoI finally got to see it. It was super pretty. Loved the story, loved the characters, music was good. I'd managed to avoid spoiling myself on the plot n' stuff for the most part so I enjoyed the mystery/investigation aspect of it. Go out and buy a copy of it because great movies should be rewarded with financial success.
Okay, I'm back.
Posted 9 years agoMy computer's graphics card went and died on me and I couldn't remember what my password for my account on here was, so yeah. A long, boring 9 days with just a phone to entertain myself while waiting for the problem to be identified and then for the card to get shipped out (from the east coast, so it took extra long with all the winter storm bullshit). Naturally I got fuck all drawing done with all that nothing better to do, though we did find a big box of Sculpey, so I made a Temmie.
I guess my skype was hacked?
Posted 9 years agoI haven't been on in a couple months since I never thought to reinstall it after I upgraded to solid state hard drives, but apparently my account was hacked, so if I sent you an obvious, suspicious link, yeah, don't click on it. Changed my password so hopefully that's fixed.
Milestones and a bunch of random stuff
Posted 10 years agoSo I hit 1k watchers, I guess, way more than I'd ever think I'd have, especially for how much of a lazy POS I am about actually drawing or finishing shit. Still, thanks for your attention; Knowing people enjoy what I make is pretty much the only reason for me to keep making it.
I finished my pacifist run of Undertale. No spoilers (Not in the comments either or I will cut you I swear :U) but it was the single most hyped up game I've ever played. And it lived up to it. Don't let anyone tell you anything about it, play it as blindly as possible, and let it take you on a feel trip. Its only $10 on steam and you can refund it if you somehow don't like it. There's a free version/demo through the first area on the website. The music is fucking amazing. The gameplay is just pretty good; Its the characters, the story and the storytelling that make it 10/10 100/100 best game, GOTY, etc. It takes advantage of its medium like Homestuck takes advantage of being a webcomic. I was in tears through the true end.
I'm finishing up the majority of my college stuff and finding myself dragged deep into a brand new fandom because I foolishly decided to play it during my fall break, thinking this 8 or so hour long game couldn't possibly take up *that* much of my time. Haha. Fffffuck :V Because of some bullshit involving me and my advisor not knowing we had to request special permission for me to take a 2 credit hour capstone course required for the degree I would have done last summer, I get to waste the next 20 weeks or so doing it online before I graduate and hopefully get out of my shitty retail job.
The last season of colorful pastel horse adventures ended. The season was great with only one episode I didn't like. The finale was holy shit, aside from a weak resolution. I want to see more Sombra timeline stuff; fuck FOE, this is the apocalyptic war story with magic ponies I want to see more of.

That recent game that isn't Fallout 4 or Overwatch
Posted 10 years agoIts also not Undertale, because I'm still gradually playing it. I didn't want to upset Toriel and leave the ruins. :< Goatmom 2 pure. But it is Blizzard related.
I've been playing Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void instead. Campaign, of course, because why would I even want to start to try to get into the blood-slavering intense madness that is competitive multiplayer. Its quite good, much like the previous two installments. (Worded non-spoilery) I was fortunate enough to have gotten to where the adviser voiced by John DeLancie comes in before someone dropped a spoiler screenshot of what I presume is going to be the ending cinematic, or at least end game stuff. So that's annoying, but not something I couldn't have predicted from the plot up to that point at least. Still, no spoilers, please. :V
I've been surprised by how much I legitimately enjoy playing with the Protoss, given that they've always been by far my least favorite to play of the three. The overhaul they got since the Wings of Liberty missions was desperately needed. Plus all the excellent customization choices the campaign gives you to pick from; I'm mostly running with a khalai crew. The third row zealots ability is way too useful for me not to use them constantly, though, considering how cannon-foddery they are compared to every other unit. And having actual dragoons again, aaaaaaaaaaa <3

As a matter of policy:
Posted 10 years agoI immediately unwatch any artists that start misusing Patreon as a paywall service.
I'm fine with you having a paywall. But people need to cut it the fuck out with abusing Patreon for that purpose. Its designed to be a way to help support artists you enjoy; You should consider all such payment as tips, not as access fees. You are not buying, you are donating. The more people use it as a way to hold their work ransom, the fewer people will be willing to support artists who use it as it was designed and intended.
Have you noticed how you have to pull some ass-backwards shit like waiting until you collect payment before manually distributing stuff when you try and use it that way? Because Patreon is objectively not for that shit. STOP it.

I'm far too lazy for that shit. Don't expect me to use them. :V

I'm 20... something. I forget constantly and have kinda stopped counting. 27? Something like that.
Mostly its just an excuse to bump that last journal off my page. I've been busy doing fuck all, but college is starting back up next week.
I keep wanting to draw or color stuff but I can't seem to motivate myself to actually do it. :T Feel free to shia le beef me for my laziness.

Dreams are both awesome and awful.
Posted 10 years agoOn the one hand, sweet crazy-ass alt-universe Avengers dream! On the other hand, because its a dream I'm already starting to forget it and won't be able to rewatch that shit.
Uh, spoilers, I guess? since it was a dream made out of Avengers: Age of Ultron and previous marvel movies bits and pieces.
Basically in the dream movie, after shield was dissolved for being a shadowy half-Hydra piece of shit, the Avengers responded by making all their new tech developments very public and showy. Tony has made suits for the cast (Presumably this is post-Ultron since Banner/Hulk isn't there, unless he was one of the guys I'll mention later) so the entire team is doing one of Tony's showboating presentation shows coming out of the tower (which they're still using?) and into the city.
Among other things that makes it clear this was happening in crazy-ass dream version of the MCU, there's actually a team of technicians who help do all the shit that Jarvis/Monday would realistically be doing themselves, and when Tony mentions that the suits have been upgraded to do virtual texture projection on their own (stuff like 3D lasery grid displays into open space that everyone can see) then some offscreen group of technicians quickly reorganize who's helping coordinate what, eg, the guy who used to have to do the projection mapping (again something that computers would do and that people realistically couldn't do live) switches over into asset creation for the projector to use, saying something about it being a good thing he's got an art degree, to which Tony responds with a sarcastic jab about not wanting to see him posting about this on his DeviantArt until afterwards.
They start simulating various disasters (being clear that they're simulations and just showing what their new tech can do) like catching huge sections knocked off a building (I think the building was basically made out of the same modular stuff as the hulkbuster/Veronica thing) and whatnot. it became clearer that its also the avengers and not just iron legion (each member presumably 'leading' a small group of helper drone suits) when hawkeye lands at street-level to warn off some petty thugs before split second ziplining back into flight with one of his grappling arrows, kinda like spiderman with the "launch-takeoff" kinda thing.
Stuff that I'm starting to forget happens in between, they all meet up afterwards to celebrate a presentation going without any hangups, Black Widow points out when someone else complains about how fake and showy it all is that it's better than trying to do all this stuff covertly like Shield did and getting hounded by investigations and shit for it. Then things get mildly awkward when they're forced by being a team in a public place to try and show solidarity by not objecting when a younger female member of the team who I have forgotten who was supposed to be (not scarlet witch or black widow) when asked said they'd all like to have a coke (Apparently my dream has been invaded by corporate sponsorship) when half of them don't want one.
Then it cuts into space where some bad guys are watching whats happening and it gets super fuzzy from there but I'm pretty sure at that point it stops being a Marvel movie dream, aside from one of the guys being the Baron, somehow.

Me and Mr Wolf (Music)
Posted 10 years agoSo hey, I've been on a Real Tuesday Weld kick lately, and being as vore-minded as I am I can't help but enjoy some of the only semi-intentional tone of this particular song.
Patreon!
Posted 10 years ago... I don't have one!
I mean I have one but you can't give it money.
But I do support a couple of them.
The most active of the three I currently back is Brad Jones, aka the Cinema Snob. Ironically I tend to watch the actual Snob episodes the least often; I tend to keep the various Midnight Screenings and Brad Tries videos going in the background for white noise while genuinely enjoying them. (Especially recommended to check out; Any of the State Fair episodes, any Medea/Tyler Perry movie, The Oogieloves, Winter's Tale) I also like whenever they do a Flaming Brian episode but that isn't that often yet.
The one I would recommend the most in general is Kyle Kallgren, AKA Oancitizen. Like, seriously; if you start with the Beatles between the lines episode I can emphatically and increasingly recommend every single last video after it. Aside from maybe Tiny Furniture which was meh and A Midsummer Night's Cream because it's just pretty good while everything else around it is amazing. I had the songs form the Beauty and the Beast reviews stuck in my head for weeks and I still get shivers and mind-blows every time I rewatch Blue, the BTL on Inception and This Is Not A Film. Its funny, its fascinating, its stuff you probably don't know about already and makes you feel like you're learning stuff in a good way, what with the mind-blows and stuff.
And the third one I support is the one for Goblins, the webcomic. It's definitely one of my favorite webcomics, it encourages me to keep improving as an artist because oh my god the evolving quality of his artwork and the mind-bending levels of detail and complexity involved in most of his scenes even from the early days. And also just the story is a fun DND setting exploited for all the mechanics related jokes and plot twists and stuff and given an extremely engaging campaign, whether it be the main party of Goblins who are all taking adventuring levels to help protect their villages from wandering adventuring parties, Minmax's whole development with Forgath and Kin, having to develop actual character and relationships from what was originally just a min-maxed munchkin type generic brainless fighter persona. Plus all the awesome weapons and whatnot that I won't ramble about because seriously, just read it and experience it for yourself. I'm eagerly looking forwards to finding out more about Klik's whole species and whatnot, for example.

3 down, apparently 2 to go.
Posted 11 years agoAside from taking an online final for my sociology class (I'll pass even if I utterly fail it) I'm finally done for the semester. Got myself scheduled for the next one aaaaand found out that I have a fifth one after that. :T So I'm probably not gonna be opening back up for commissions until summer (Two of the classes I need are only offered in the fall and student aid won't cover it unless I'm doing 12 credit hours)
Pokemon's been taking up all my relaxing before going to sleep time I would normally spend drawing. But that nostalgia. Gen 3 was my favorite for the longest time, and with the updates to current gen mechanics I think I might like it more than Gen 6.
I've also been enjoying Warlords of Draenor. My hunter has never looked sexier. If only I had the patience and skill to draw some o' dat sweet spacegoat booty.
(Boring life update journal to bump off the old one)

Posted 11 years agoI've found myself back on a World of Warcraft kick which has resulted in me staying up way later than I normally do and taking up any time I'd normally be drawing or chatting. :T I hadn't played in a year and a half so I'm in the midst of splurging before the next expansion comes out, apparently in three months (during which I will probably NOT be playing it because school will once again be taking up all my free time) and learning what all has changed and junk.
If you're on Moonrunner (or Gnomeregon as apparently we're realm-interwoven now or whatever that all is) Alliance-side then... IDK we can do some stuff on Timeless Isle or something. :T I'm just trying out all the new stuff in LFR while I still can and trying to bring all my old alts up from 85 to 90. (Four so far, another four at 87, and one more at 81)
Also since I've logged in recently enough, I can go aaaaa I fucking love my hunter's transmog

Open for commissions!
Posted 11 years agoDigital coloring commissions, however, I can do pretty much right away. Still my usual price for those, $2.50 for a regular image, $7.50 for a comic page, and maybe some undefined small extra charge for complicated backgrounds/characters. You need to be either the artist or have permission to have it colored.
Vore peeps!

Yearly pre-emptive reminder of shenanigans

I drew something once. It was awful.
Posted 11 years agoBrief update on arts.
They aren't really happening. :I
School/work combo continues to be extremely effective at eating time.
Horribly out of practice as my attempts to draw myself as a pokemon (Replaying Y, seeing the whole Twitch Tv [PRAISE THE HELIX] nonsense, Game Grumps doing Fire Red, VBA'ing Leaf Green, and the modmins trying to design ourselves as pokemon) have been just. Blaugh. Can't even draw regular Wesley. Did draw an overstuffed Keith I'll upload eventually but its still crap. :X
Have a moveset and a lazy sprite edit.

Everyone's drama-ing
Posted 11 years agoand I'm just over here going OMG DERPY WAS IN THE LATEST EPISODE AND THE WEIRD AL EPISODE IS COMING IN TWO WEEKS AND AAAAAA <3
Not going to weasyl for reason I mentioned whenever that was. With classes having started up again I don't have any time to draw anyways, so I wouldn't have anything to post there anyways. :T
Also, I got a 2DS and Pokemon Y. Might add people, IDK. Already plowed through all the content that I'm interested in it, but it was fun. Haven't played a pokemon game in forever. The Delphox line is just hnnnnnnng <3

Other places to find me!
Posted 12 years ago... Uh, if I draw pony stuff I'll post it on derpibooru.
Other than that, this is the only place. :I
I have a DA but I refuse to post anything there since A. they don't allow porn and B. seriously, read the terms of service. Anything you post on there, they can do anything they want with, without having to ask you.
I have an ancient sofurry from back when it was still yiffstar but I don't like the site's layout at all so I have no intention of trying to dig it out and dust it off.
I have an inkbunny but its just for watching a handful of artists who abandoned this place. Plus, I don't draw cub porn, and like it or not, that IS what the site ended up becoming all about.
I don't have a weasyl because they pulled that closed beta bullshit for well over an entire year so by the time they finally opened up I had no idea who had made an account over there and I am petty and will gladly hold a grudge over something silly like that.

Dentistry. :T
Posted 12 years agoGot my fillings. Anticipation is the worst part, aside from the novacane shots. Jaw is still sore from it but no serious discomfort. Nitrous Oxide is a wonderful wonderful thing that I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone who needs to go through dental shenanigans like that. Last time I was just sort of hazy and detached, this time I'm pretty sure I was outright stoned. Which was great aside from the moment when it was kicking in really hard and the DT was doing a really repetitive thing that made me feel like I was stuck in a 4 second groundhog day loop and was dying or dead or only existed inside my head or something. Couldn't feel any part of my body for most of it except for my hands.
Also, commissions back to fully closed.
Taluthus is being super awesome and giving me lots of commissions to color. :3

Insanely generous raffle and limited commissions

I could very much use that kind of money for helping to pay off bills that have been slowly bleeding out my bank account for the last couple months, so fingers crossed. :< Especially if my upcoming dental work (two fillings on the 25th ;^;) ends up costing me out of pocket, I'm not entirely sure how much will be covered by my family's insurance plan.
Actually tbh I could use some extra income so I can actually afford to buy family some Christmas presents this year; I might try to open for coloring commissions, but I still don't have the extra time at the end of the day when I have sufficient privacy to actually draw, so it'd be strictly your linework/linework you have the original artist's permission to have me color. I have basically zero optimism when it comes to how many people will be interested in this, but its worth a shot. $2.50 for regular images, $7.50 for comic pages.
