Well actually you can congratulate me for getting a good enough score on the Accuplacer math assessment that I don't have to take a math class because I had to literally re-teach myself years of math, which I was always terrible at, and largely ignored when possible. I never did fully learn algebra so I had to self-teach myself on the Khan Academy website to prepare for the Accuplacer. And frankly I'd forgotten the basics of multiplication and long division.

Anyway so that's taken care of. And since it's the one program I'm doing and it's relatively short, the financial burden's actually not bad at all, after grants I only took out an $800 loan, which I could frankly pay now but I'm kinda waiting to see if Grampa Joe gets desperate enough to cancel federal debt prior to midterms, and a free $800 is a free $800.

Now I guess I have to find a part time job. Not sure what that's gonna look like, until I started in on this hair brained scheme I was pretty convinced I was never gonna need a job again, that's not the trajectory life seemed to be taking, so I don't know. Anybody familiar with me can imagine I don't get along so well in the working world, around others. Still, unemployment's been on my ass so, I'll have to find some dumb shit to do.

Still waiting on the passport to arrive in the mail. Meanwhile I rely on the ever worsening news cycle to keep me focused. I've got friends how are like "Well, I know I'm gonna be shipped off to an internment camp probably but there's just so many people here I like to fursuit with so I'm gonna stay" and...yeah, I don't fucking get it. 2) This question seems to tacitly admit that societal violence is inherently a male problem, but I doubt this ackassjay even realizes what he's done.

They on the other hand have played them all. Am I willing to believe the game's majority demo are men? Sure. Am I willing to believe that fewer than MILLIONS of women have enjoyed those games? No, you boil on the ass end of life.

And just speaks to a conversation we have to have time and time of straight boys bitching and moaning that their game has a woman (Or a black guy, or god forbid, a black women). And I could, and should, get into a whole rant about how the radicalization of young white males has created an extremely dangerous debate in which they simply believe that all other varieties of human simply shouldn't exist anywhere, but for now I'll keep things and just point out that if your masculinity is so fragile playing as a female character in a video game is all it takes to compromise it then it sounds like you were already pretty god damn faggy to begin with.

The more worldbuilding I do, the more difficulty I have in adhering to my rules of banned words and terms.

When I first got started in this fandom, like many of the worst of you, I tried to use cutesy terms in place of 'human' ones, paws instead of hands (I actually do kind of miss that, it's a cuter word, what can I say), footpaw, 'furs' instead of people, mate (groan, seriously, stop saying this, you're not an animal, you're an ugly human and your love is very likely finite, deal with it) and whatever else. Over time, I retired much of that, as I wanted my worldbuilding efforts to take themselves a little more seriously, but also because it was becoming a practical nightmare.

And two of the longest running holdouts, terms I still try to avoid using, present perhaps the biggest challenge of all: Man and Woman.

For me, these were essentially the first thing prohibited, I mean, they're such human-specific terms, and if you've ever seen me rant about your stupid "hi my name is josh or Aiden or Kyle or some shit like that" human-like hair on your anthro characters then you know I try to keep that stuff very separate.

But one thing you'll find if you try and erase the word "Man" from your lexicon is that you lock yourself out of a LOT of words, terms, and slang.

"Oh man" is gone.

"Hey man" is gone.

Every word ending is "man" or "men" is gone (Servicemen, Gunman, Weatherman, etc.)

And like...sigh...I've just outgrown saying shit like "weatherfur" you know? I endeavor to put together a world that serves to do more than be like "Hey furries, like how cuuuuuuuuuuute I'm being! Are you seeing how cute and quirky and kawaii this all is?!" And sticking 'fur' on shit plays right into that.

What's funny is that I'm fine with "Boy" and "Girl" which, technically, should only prefer to non-adult humans of a male or female gender but perhaps because even we has humans use the terms so freely to refer to both adults and kids, AND frequently use it to refer to other species (Oh, you got a cat? Boy or girl?), so, I guess I'm already conditioned to view that as a less strict term that can be all encompassing.

With that in mind, I recognize that in many ways, I should stop being so strict about "Man" and "Woman" because one could strongly argue that in a world will multiples species to account for, an all-encompassing term for adults would be useful, such as in situations where there's an anonymity involved, or perhaps for legal reasons. Yes, "male" and "female" exist as terms and they work okay if you're trying to lean harder into the whole "ha ha, get it? 'cause animals?" thing. But frankly, they can be pretty clunky when attempting to slot them into slang or other terms. And to those ends, I've very slowly experimented with sneaking the word man into areas. For example, in his interview with Nara, my Zane character refers to his father as his 'old man' because I just couldn't get that out of my head, Zane would be the kind of folksy boy to use that term and "my old guy" or "my old dude" just doesn't carry the same connotations, you KNOW what I mean (actually you don't because you're not still reading this).

Now the weird thing is, I can kind of dip my toe into use of the word 'man' but I run into more problems with "woman" and I think the reason for that is because the term "man" is used in such a universal, generic way, it's easier to imagine slotting into other uses, even for an anthroverse but "woman" is not nearly as universal, pretty much only ever referring to just that, adult, human females. And I'm sure there's a conversation to be had here about the defaultizing of masculine terms over female terms, presenting men and masculinity as something of a 'given' while a term like "woman" is on its own, isolated little island not dissimilar from efforts to do the same with women themselves and shut them out of as many facets of society as possible, but, I'll save that conversation for some other time when I need to bitch about how men are invariably trash.

But I am running into an issue as I write out the bio for this most recent character of mine, kind of a reverse issue in a way because while "Women" in context of anthros is weird to me, "Women's Wrestling" as a term to refer to, y'know, women's wreslting, is a very common to me and "Females' Wrestling" frankly, sounds weird, and almost strangely derogatory, probably due to all those jackass incels who insist on using the term "female" as a means of dehumanizing women, making them sound more like a creature than a person...which kinda ties into what I said earlier about doing it for anthros with the specific goal of dehumanizing them but in a different way, hey, so interesting...but anyway, yeah, "females' wrestling' doesn't sound very good and I've got it jotted currently but...I dunno man, I might bite the bullet and switch it over to "women" before it gets posted.

Anyway. I dunno where I'm going with this. But I guess I just figured I ramble about that weird little dilemma of mine for a while, while the rest of you think to yourselves "didn't he start posting a little bit of porn again the last week or two? Why did that stop?"

Some of you may know that WWE CEO and majority shareholder Vince McMahon has recently been in hot water after the Wall Street Journal published a couple of stories about his use of hush money and NDA's to silence women with whom he was either involved with sexuality or accused of sexually harassing/assaulting. Despite this, he's remained a beloved figure buy a lot of WWE fans because WWE is basically wrestling's version of the MAGA cult at this point, a piss poor product insulting the intelligence of its fans who have signaled that they actively want their intelligence insulted. A large part of this is that ever since McMahon bought the company from his father, Vince Senior, he's been the last word in all decisions, creative or otherwise, that happen with the company. Vince's paradoxical resentment of pro wrestling compelled him to manufacture a version of it that he infamously refers to as "Sports Entertainment" and for fans who have never watched any other professional wrestling, WWE is the beginning and end of what wrestling is.

Problem is, as with many late-70 year-olds in this country. Vince lost touch with reality decades ago, leading to a stale product reliant on overused tropes, tired gags, and a fascinatingly stringent requirement of propaganda-like terms and phrases.

In short, WWE has sucked for a long time because Vince McMahon is an old lunatic whose idea of peak entertainment is puking and short people.

He's also a known control freak, hence his stranglehold on the position of head of creative, so many of us were resigned to the idea that he would never retire, plaguing the company with his unique brand of tedium until he was dead, and frankly he seemed far too stubborn to succumb to something as trivial as mortal death.

Obviously this retirement comes as fallout for the scandal that's been plaguing him and the company for the past couple of months. Honestly, since it's Vince, I'm not comfortable saying that he's definitely for sure gonna retire for realsies this time but it's certainly some of the biggest news to hit the wrestling world since...oh I dunno, Benoit?

By all accounts, McMahon is a terrible human being who deserves to be taken down professionally and personally, so the decent human being in me hopes he gets what's coming to him in the end, but the wrestling fan in me hopes that this is the start of WWE finally being allowed to evolve conceptually into something more closely resembling what actual, professional wrestling is today. I haven't regularly watched WWE in a while now (I still check out the Pay Per Views sometimes to stay informed as a wrestling fan) but the industry has a whole benefits when the biggest promotions are putting out a product worthy of competing against. WWE more or less hit 'too big to fail' status some time ago so they've had no particular onus to be, well, good, especially given that their core audience is old people who watch out of habit, but if places like AEW are gonna continue to improve their game then a company like WWE needs to be putting out a product that's at least somewhat somewhat proportional in terms of quality as the magnitude of the company would suggest. Disney sucks as a company but are at least generally known for regularly putting out good films. WWE is kind of an oddball in that it's so known for bad wrestling that even its biggest defenders don't try to defend the match quality, arguing instead that WWE is so rich and successful that they don't need to waste their time with good wrestling (Yes, this is a literal, regularly-spouted opinion of theirs).

So I guess what I'm saying is, fuck you Vince, stay dead, figuratively first then ideally literally, and let your undeserved roster of amazing modern talent finally reach the potential we all knew they'd be capable of if they hadn't sold all their passion for this art form to you.

I considered the more unorthodox idea of offering commissions to "Wrestle-fy" your characters, but then I realized all the normies would balk at the idea thanks to all the weird fetishists who, in turn, would be the only takers, if there were any.

So we'll try this instead. I'm offering Wing-It commissions at a somewhat discounted rate. This way you get to pay a little less and also don't have to do any of your own thinking about the commission, which, in my experience, is how a lot of people prefer it.

Although the DLC won't fit onto the cart, it's something of a miracle that they're able to cram the whole main game on there. We said the same when DOOM '16 got a Switch release but Eternal's even bigger and badder.

The correct reaction to this tragedy is laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.

As I've been off-handedly remarking the past few days, I'm gonna try and leave the country. Yes, I know it's kind of a cliche, you hear something you don't like in the news and you say "That does it, I'm movin' to Canada!" But, well, the cliche aside, I'm going to attempt it anyway. It's been building for a good while, it's just that I only recently gained the motivation to start jumping through all the necessary hoops. For me at least, there's a tangible moment when you feel that switch inside of you flip from general anger and resentment to something far more ugly and awful. But the problem isn't just the feeling itself. It's what you're willing to do, plan, and carry out in a desperate attempt to make it go away.

As something of a favor to my family, I'm going in another direction. Now, doing such a thing is tremendously difficult. You don't just...leave. What I'm looking at right now is a mutli-year plan to gain the skills/knowledge required to be a desirable candidate to cross the Northern border, which I also happen to live very close to, relatively speaking.

The first step is applying to college.

Nothing fancy here, just a community college downtown in my current city. I decided that Web Design ticks a lot of the boxes, the most important ones being the cost to do it and if I thought I could put up with it. I've done it very slightly before, in highschool, but using methods that were outdated even then. As luck would have it, after settling on that, it was brought to my attention that Ontario is looking for web designers, specifically. So here's hoping they still are a couple years from now.

I have a decent amount of money saved up and have already applied for aid (Sigh, not being in debt was like the one thing my life had going for it). My sister designed her own website as well, for her business, so I've got some help within the family on this. Should also probably find a job to do again while attempting this, which I'm not looking forward to.

Pretty crazy scheme, right? (Actually it's a very methodical one.) But unless somebody's gonna marry me into the place, it'll have to do (Yes I know it's not as simple as that though it's definitely easier). For a plan I decided on less than a week ago, it's moving pretty quickly. Filled out a passport application, applied for student aid (groan) and set up a tour with the school for Tuesday. The first challenge will be explaining to them how on earth I graduated high school despite what my transcripts say. Hopefully they just plain don't care now that I'm in my 30's.

And while I'm doing all of this, if possible, I'd like to try maybe becoming a better person. A lot's gone through my mind the past month, a lot of really distressing, fucked up things, and what it's put into perspective is how little anything else matters right now. I've got so much dread and resentment spinning around in side me I just can't afford to maintain all the old resentments and vitriol, at least not at that level. Sure, people will still annoy me with their dumb bullshit but...got bigger fish to fry right now. And really all I want out of this is to land in some quiet little hovel where I can just do my dumb little shit in relative peace, draw shy bunny boys, talk about video games that only I care about, and run out the clock on my natural life, all while maybe discovering some reason to be alive and maybe attempt to connect with other people the way I was finally preparing to when literally everything around me went to shit and I found myself unable to view other human beings as anything other than mobile painmakers undeserving of basic empathy.

If you're at all interested in helping with endeavor, I retooled my commission info yesterday, and yes, I will draw your porn. But I'm still not guaranteeing taking every single project, I still want to know if it's something I can sort of get into, especially at a time when I've been giving myself a lot less time for recreation or side projects, I feel intensely guilty for every moment I'm not actively working on this process (But I guess one could argue money grubbing is a cornerstone of it).

See when those useless lurker accounts start faving my work, I formally give them a warning in the form of a shout - if you keep faving my work, I'm going to block you, because I'm sick of fave-spamming accounts with no content wasting my time.

These formal warnings, however, have no effect. Now it's possible they're just ignoring me, it's possible some don't even speak English, but I suspect a lot of why they never see the messages in the first place is because of all those ackassjays who mindlessly post 'thanks for the fave!" despite A) how literally everyone thinks this is annoying spam in and of itself and B) despite how obvious it is that this user isn't a legitimate user who gives a fuck that you're thanking them.

I'm sure when yet another comment from somebody whose work they recently faved comes in, they assume it's another useless 'thank you' and don't stop to see what was even said. And I can't say I blame them.

But it's one more reason in which fave-thanking is a magnificently annoying habit that literally nobody likes.
