Jameson and Pickle Juice.
It cuts through the whiskey really nice, so you have all the smoothness without the afterburn. And it tastes really good. I would compare it to the ambrosia of the gods, but that may be going a bit too far.
Anyway, the place I went to was like some weird roadside redneck bar. I seriously felt I was at Bob's Country Bunker. The bartender kept feeding me shots, so I will not complain at all. :3
Then we went to my friend's house and drank some more, though the guy at the 7-11 wouldn't sell us booze because we made him look at the clock. We could have legit got booze at 2 in the morning cause the guy had no clue. Damn you liquor laws!
Went to bed at 5:30am, woke up still drunk. We went to the Original Pancake house and got some Pumpkin Pancakes (OMG).
And now I'm finally home. I think I'm gonna watch some more Torchwood, get a face sized burrito from Chipotle, pick up the children and vegetate.

Anyway, the huge computer is currently in pieces! This computer keeps telling me its incompatible with something else on the network! So, its either incompatible with the xbox or the western digital media box, and I don't know how to reset their IPs. So.. I'm fucked. Cause we reset the IP on this system and the other computer isn't actually attached to the internet or the network right now.
So, if you need me, send me a comment or a note. I'll get back to it as soon as I can. I won't be on messengers until the big computer is actually fixed. So, if you miss me... I'm sorry.

We went to the Milwaukee Co Zoo. Fed some goats. Saw a falcon show with a very androgynous weasly giving the presentation.
We had to go to Beloit to pick my oldest up (my parents took her to the Dells then didn't want to bring her to Milwaukee cause it would be an hour and a half out of their way. Well. it was like 2 and a half out of ours, but whatever, they're dicks sometimes). On the way there... Well, there's this pornstore near where Greenfield Ave and 294 meet up. This guy SLAMS on the breaks, BACKS UP and careens down the wrong side of the road into the parking lot. They then proceed to bolt out of the car and into the store. That guy really wanted some porn.
My in-laws got me a really expensive, hand dyed ball of alpaca yarn. I'm making a scarf out of it. Does this make me a hipster? I think it gets close.

I have to carry around REAL books again

My nooks e-ink display cracked to the point of illegibility. I'm so depressed right now, you guys, you don't even know.
It's going to cost more to replace the screen(plus B&N doesn't really do that, so i'd have to install it myself), then it is to get a new one.
I'm looking at the $114 dollar Kindle as a replacement.
Moral of the story? Get a goddamn cover... or sew one. That might be my second sewing project.
Anyway. Part of me getting out of my art block, I drew a bunch of Whiskey with a collar getting humped.. lots of closeups and stuff (It's two pages).
I can upload the sketches as a This Could Be You thing, or you guy's could just grab it from the journal if you know you want it without seeing it.
The price for inserting your character and having me finish it, is, you guessed it. $114.
I have enough money to get a case with it... free shipping, so. Yeah.
Get me a kindle for art guys.
I'll be back this afternoon to upload what I've got if no one's taken a bite here. :3

We went to the Bristol Renn Faire. If you don't know where that is, it's in like Kenosha, WI.
Anyway, they were having a Steampunk themed weekend. My friend came in his Burlap bag, as he does every year, this year smeared with motor oil and lots of dirt... to get a more authentic grime look.
Turns out the new addition to our group (as of Capricon, but no, seriously, i love him, hes into EVERYTHING and brings delicious hookah), used to work there, so, he gets $10 tickets for life. Huzzah! not paying the full price for admission.
My friend got this adorable little gypsy outfit there, and then.. so did I...because costumes are AWESOME. But, like seriously, I went into a shop and got a costume. I need to accessorize it. I'm going to get like pouches and bottles and random shit and just be like a creepy soothsayer/witch/fortune teller. I'm a have to get or make a set of tarot cards too to shove in a pouch.
Basically, yes, fuck Nobel people, we're gonna be scum.
Except my husband, he went the whole Sirio Florel direction, hes got puffy pants and bought a doublet and a Rapier yesterday. Fuck... he bought a sword, you guys.
Then before the Moonie and Broon (they're like the easiest RL people to ship, ever.. so homoerotic, no really.. they have a website, go look at them), we were waiting for burlap bag to finish a game of backgammon with a nobleman, and... my friend decides to befriend a drag queen. So, suddenly! Drag queen! And then we invited them to Boldly go.
Drag queen, brought his steampunk friends, but one was really bitchy and the other was... really dumb. She kept not being able to actually explain what Steampunk was, because apparently shes so elitist that its not a style of dress or a nice costume, its a way of life. But she couldn't explain the general mantra, or how people feel when they associate with steampunk, or really anything that would make steampunk anything other then cool costumes (just that it was a feeling in her heart). She was so dumb as to tell us that there are no steampunk bands. So, we left her in another room to be dumb by herself.
Drag queen, he was a different story. He had opinions and thoughts on gender identity and foreign politics and economics and was really well versed. I feel sorry that he lives with those other girls, but.. he likes to wear the one girl's dresses... so i guess that's why he puts up with them.
We were going to go see Doctor Who at a comic shop on like a 90 inch screen, but Moonie and Broon went till 7 and then we didn't really RUSH out to get to downtown Chicago by 8, so we just didn't go. So, I still haven't seen the new episode of Doctor Who, yet.
Oh and I saw
spooki for like 2 seconds.
And someone just handed us absinthe. I know... like.. its totally weird to accept a glass of absinthe from some stranger, but he didn't want it, and we wanted to try it, and there was no way we were going to pay the $8 a glass. So, roofied it is. All four of us, as we shared it. LOL... we're so good at life.
I also got a straw for my wooden mug, and was drinking mead most of the day. You have no idea how classy it looks (not very, I look like the ye olde version of that chick from weeds).
Anyway! That was my day. TL;DR right? LOL

I'M EXCITED.
I need to get another string for my corset, I lost my string. D: Can I cheat and use a few shoelaces? LOL I'm not entirely sure if I want to wear a corset all day... Last time my hip bones and ribs hurt.

Also, after slogging through two seasons of stupid stuff (mexican drug lord baby dramaaaaaa) on Weeds, I'm finally to season 6 and it's picked up tremendously. I've watched 5 episodes in a row and I don't think I can stop.

General | Posted 14 years agoWent and saw Cappy America last night. It was really adorable. I know that's a weird reaction to a superhero movie, but it's true! He was like really tiny and adorable and then he got buff so, like the whole rest of the movie I was just like, 'Aww, he's all grown up! Awww! Look at his costume! Aww, He punched Hugo Weaving in the face!'
Movie theater was FREEZING. I don't know why they thought we needed to be in the Arctic. It didn't help me mentally that the beginning of the movie was in some snow covered region, either. It sortof just cemented that it was REALLY COLD IN THERE.
Since we went to the Streets, we went to Big Bowl. My addiction to Passion Fruit has been sated for awhile since I got both the Sangria and the ginger ale. I love Big Bowl so much, so good. We were dining outside, but when we finished up it started raining and we walked across the street and went to the movie. When we got out of the movie it wasn't raining. Yay for missing all the rain!
It's been so long since I've gone to see a movie in the theaters (Scott Pilgrim was the last one, no lie). The commercial channel really bugged me, and then the commercials on the commercial channel. I'm also trying to watch Black Butler. Why? Cause my friends are making me. It's kindof hard to watch. Seeing as it's like... I get it, you're a demon. How about you do something more interesting? Just waiting for Grell, cause he looks magnificent.
I went downtown last night and got on a river/lake boat cruise with my husband's work. So.much.fun. Videogame nerds + booze= hilarity.
We didn't get attacked by Batman,Transformers (though that trashcan was blinking at me and looked sentient), or Dave Matthews. Though the latter was the most serious threat. Don't have any idea what I mean? Look it up!

I went downtown last night and got on a river/lake boat cruise with my husband's work. So.much.fun. Videogame nerds + booze= hilarity.
We didn't get attacked by Batman,Transformers (though that trashcan was blinking at me and looked sentient), or Dave Matthews. Though the latter was the most serious threat. Don't have any idea what I mean? Look it up!
The cake slices were the size of my head and tasted disappointingly. D:

OMG. AH. Scary freeway.
I'm safe. I'm alive. I gotta do it again at 5;30 so I can pick up my husband from work (omg rush hour traffic omg omg).
Got my hair dye! So... I'ma do that....
and then go to this barbeque wizard rock thing at my friend's house.

The comic convention was terribly laid out... who in gods name decided to put ALL THE CELEBRITIES EVER right in front of the door? I had to help my friend creep on Ianto Jones, so I didn't really get to creep as much as I wanted to on the Boondock Saints (but I did get to look at them...but since they were right by the front door... it kindof involved shuffling through people and shuffling back and going with the flow).
I actually saw a lot of people I knew there. I guess this kid who I went to life drawing with back in College actually works with my husband now. What? He didn't mention that at all.
Other people I saw? Old college professor, girl from the harry potter scene.
Oh! And this other kid I knew from college had a booth.

Went to my friends house afterwards. Played some Zombie Fluxx, got drunk, watched anime.
