Seems I've hit a creative stride with my writing. Not for the actual writing side but more with coming up with new ideas. Usually a barrage of new ideas for me follows a source of inspiration like a story that really grips me or moves me. This time I've got nothing like that as a source. I just keep getting these little zings of an idea out of nowhere and just by jotting them down they flesh out into the beginnings of a full story. So while this lasts, I'm going to channel this creative spurt into my Patreon which means a lot of cool new projects will be heading its way. Which makes a great time to join my Patreon. Been making some real strides with my writing and Patreon development recently. Nothing groundbreaking with the first perhaps, just refining some ideas and getting new ones down on paper plus pressing on with my Commissions. I'm certainly getting the process down, finding it easier to get each project going. And it's certainly becoming easier to stick to a word count. Proper planning and all that. I'm just paying more careful attention to the words I've written as I write.

...not here in London yet, but across the country certainly. Mostly because of people being stupid and ignoring the rules and restrictions put in place to protect them. Just today we had a huge demonstration in London against the lockdown which the police had to disperse due to no one wearing masks and social distancing. I don't understand all this talk of hoax and conspiracy and breach of rights. How can an educated country believe such nonsense. People are dying and they go crowding togehher with no masks. It's not them that will suffer though, it's bound to be thier friends and family and who knows who else across the country. It that kinda thing as much as gatherings in pubs and parties that will drive up the infection rate. And this could all have been prevented by people being smart.

Whike this week hasn't been a great one for writing with my hours. Pretty much I've been working 9-5 which doesn't mean much time writing before or after work, especially when you factor in that I'm walking there and back. Still, it's given me time to think about a few things. Mostly what the next steps for my Ko-Fi page will be.

I'm still sticking with my original idea of keeping it largely SFW, mostly focusing on my fan fictions and the development of those. I'm hoping it will become a good place for those who want to support my work a little more casually or those who can't afford to become a full time Patreon. Once it takes off I can start to offer some perks and benefits to those who make a donation. For now, every donation brings me closer to my goal of writing full time and would mean a lot to me.

Well..that put a crimp on things. I'm sure if you guys have been following the news (U.K. based - I very much doubt this makes the U.S news lol) the U.K has imposed restrictions on the number of people who can meet up outside of family/household bubbles. Basically gatherings of six people or more are now if not against the law, then certainly in breach of coronavirus regulations. Apart from going to work, weddings and funerals. More exceptions will no doubt follow. And then be retracted. With the number of alterations to government directives that have been made recently I wouldn't be surprised.

Just like I'm not surprised this has had to happen. Given the recent irresponsible behaviour of more than a few youthful idiots holding mass parties and outdoor raves across the country, it's no wonder we are seeing a spike in cases particularly amongst the young. What worries me is it's not those who have been contributing to this behaviour that will be affected. No, it's those who have been obeying the rules who will now be banned from doing the limited social activities we could have done while those who flouted the rules the first time will doubtless do so again.

For me, that would have been visiting a few local gaming clubs for socially distant games and maybe tcg tournaments. Certainly some places I am following on social media we're talking about it, so they have probably slammed the breaks on. Annoying but I do understand it. Especially since a primary school near my local area has just announced a confirmed case. I'll be watching that very carefully.

Back on the BB trail after letting my creative juices bubble up for a bit. This one might be a little more vague than previous Brainstorms so do bear with me on that. Right now I'm feeling in a nostalgic mood, looking back to the great Saturday shows of my youth and somewhat miss spent teenage years. They certainly seem to have nestled in my creative consciousness and I'm sure that's going to have an effect on my writing plans for the near future. I'm just not sure what direction that might take. I could make an actual dip into the world of NHP gunge stories rather than just works on the theme of that, such as

Or I could swing the other way and throw out a GYOB story or too. A lot of scope there more a..risqué twist than anything scene on tv. Not much sexy stuff on a kids show but certainly could be the way I write it. I'm sure you guys have a lot of celebs you'd love to see dunked in the gunk.

...well..one thing actually. While this new writing idea of mine to switch to writing shorter chapters has paid off; I fear I've taken it a bit too far and produced a few pieces that were perhaps a little rushed. Maybe in chasing quick story turn around, I've let the detail work slide a bit. Something I'm going to work on a little, so don't be so surprised if you notice a few rewrites here and there. Maybe more than a few. Who knows.

Since I've recently grabbed a few more Commissions makes a good a time as any to update this. Really need to get back to doing this more regularly. Šo many cool ideas bouncing around in my head at the moment that would be sweet to have realised. These will do for now though.

Myself..I've been kinda busy. Work has been pretty manic; certainly back at the height of the panic buying at the start of the lockdown. Doesn't that seem like ages ago. Things are more normal now, or less abnormal anyway. Nothing is normal. Face masks. Limiting people in shops. Queues outside. Social Distancing of course. Which seems to have taken a hit recently. The relaxing of the lockdown seems to have convinced everyone things are back to normal. Jostling and slipping around each other to grab things off shelves. Walking close behind others. Like they have no cares in the world.

Honestly, I'm grateful to be taking some holiday. True, I can't be doing much with it or going anywhere. But a rest has been good anyway. A chance to unwind and take it easy. It's been a blessing not to have to walk into and back from work every day. I don't begrudge it. It's safer. But it's tiring. Still, I've got a few days left and I intend to enjoy them.

...certainly compared with games from my youth. Maybe not a startling revelation but one that was dropped on me suddenly when an app I kinda enjoyed was suddenly terminated with little warning. No more updates. No more dlc. Nothing. By itself I could let that go, as annoying as it was, and move on. On that seemed to be the start of a chain. Next I hear the online pvp of a game I used to play has had its servers closed down. Then I hear that Star Wars Battlefront II will recieve no more updates. Seems to be painting a worrying picture. Maybe Battlefront II will be the next to be shut down. Perhaps that's the way of it. That modern games have a halflife and sooner or later become yesterday's news. I hope it's not true, but I'm certainly giving more thought to if I devote time to games like this in the future.

There is no denying that Venom from the comics is not your cut and dried hero. And we love him for all his kinda twisted conflicted journey. But can the same be said for the movie version of Venom? Or is this Venom a purer version of the character? Let's not forget the absence of the biggest drag factor on Eddie's life; Spider-Man. Pretty much all of Eddie's issues and hang ups come from connections to Spider-Man. Think of all the things he did just to get even with Spider-Man. Without that baggage, Eddie might actually be known as a hero in the Sony world, rather than a anithero. Makes for a fascinating thought doesn't it?

I'm finally getting back to collecting again. Not trading cards which I've been collecting a decent amount of recently, either Yu-Gi-Oh! or Kpop photocards. Nope, now that I've got enough space in my room again, I'm open to expanding my collection of action figures. And I'm starting with something I actually wasn't planning to buy.

Bouncing around on my wish list has been more than a few masterpiece Transformers action figures and I was very tempted to pick up the Thundercracker G1 Masterpiece model. Until I saw the price tag. While I may have spent £200 on a S.H Figuarts Pink Ranger a few years back, that pushed my spending limit just a bit. So £400 for a MP Thundercracker was really too steep. Leaving me with the choice of grabbing a K.O version or not.

While I was looking around and comparing prices I came across the item below which proved too tempting.

Long story short it's a collection of three G1 style Deception Seeker action figures including my favourite Thundercracker. Like I said, tempting. Especially with the bonus of the Skywarp figure that comes with it as a set. Which is a real bonus as I've got as much of a soft spot for him as Thundercracker. And even with the drag of the Starscream figure I'm not overly fussed about, While I've never brought any by Make Fan Toys before, I'm loving the G1 styling and the quality of the figure which while not Masterpiece quality seems a cut above the quality you get from the Generations/Combiner Wars/Power of the Primes models I've brought recently. It will be interesting to see how much better when I get it. I'm looking forward to this one.

Been a while since I made one of these. And now that I have just snagged a few more art Commissions it seemed like a good a time as any. I'm sure the keen eyed amongst you will have noticed all of these Commissions are from one artist. And there is a good reason for that.

My dear and good friend Toast is not having a great time of late, something that stsrted long before Covid-19 struck and she was forced to self isolate which means she is relying on her art to keep a roof over her head. I know it's uncertain the world over and things seem bleak, but I'm sure we can weather this storm. I know better than any how crazy the retail sector is these days but as an insider we are already seeing things improving. I'm sure we can hold onto that as a good thing.

Not just with Covid-19 but more the events around it. I'm guessing most people have seen some evidence the world over of panic buying. Or that might just be my impression. I dunno. It's certainly getting rediculous over here. Shops being stripped of toilet paper and dried goods and stuff like that. It's completely nuts. It's like everyone has lost their minds and is turning into this hyper insular mindset. I know people are scared and I'm a bit too. But I can hope that we can relocate our humanity and start thinking of others beyond ourselves. It's just not the British way to be otherwise. Or shouldn't be.

My head is back to buzzing with ideas again after a brief hiatus on the creative front. For some reason I seem to have been struck by a barrage of inspiration around classic GYOB with a slant on bringing more modern celebrities into the mix. And into the Gunge of course. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking there are a plethora of current celebrities who unfairly missed out on the experience that was being dumped into the Gunk Dunk. Or taking a trip round the Great House perhaps. But that is another story. Or several stories if I'm lucky. All things going well I'll be throwing out various polls and posts on these topics via my Patreon in the coming months. And hopefully uploading the resulting works across the board of my forums and fan sites so keep an eye out for those.

Wow..have things been busy since the New Year started. Not bad busy just having a lot on the go at once. I'm really making an effort to push my comfort zone and try new things this year, which does require a certain amount of organisation.
