Went to border's and stared at manga for a few minutes. Went to the cafe and bought a mocha, sent it back because it had whipped cream (hate whipped cream). The barista gave it to Galvan saying he was gonna throw it away, so he got a free mocha XD

Went back to borders. Stared at some manga again... Went back to the cafe. Showed him some random stuff, (Fate/Stay Night) grabbed some tea in the cafe, and watched Haruhi for 2 1/2 hours. Gave him a copy of some of my old pr0ns.

Walked around the mall for 30 minutes. Went to the food court and decided to go to gamestop instead. He picked up Okami (*hugs* favorite game of all time) and went to Coco Ichiban Curry House for dinner.

We discussed drawing, furry, art, and other stuff.

Went to the bus stop and talked about other stuff and waited for my bus and saw me off, which was really cool.

I'm very VERY confused

Rather late but whatever.

tl;dr intro (I don't watch movies in theaters anymore)
I make it a point to never go to the movies because 1) box office ratings often tell you how good the movie has done when it clearly shouldn't because no one has good tastes these days, 2) given that I am not 13 anymore and that paying for an adult ticket + snacks + snacks of my cheapskate friends costs more than the actual DVD itself and since that all movies suck balls these days I don't see the point in buying the ticket when I can easily download it off of the internet after a few days from it's release.

Okay now for the review

It was mediocre. Actually it was split between utter crap and above excellent. Maybe it's something I have against Jack Black, but I hated Po. The comedy in the movie i.e. him seemed rather forced and at times aggravating. The action scenes and some of the characterizations were something that went above my expectations.

The stop-slow motion usage sort of made me barf. Given that the demographic of this movie is set for ADHD induced 10 year olds and retards, I would think that their minds are devolved enough to follow what's going on in present time. That leads me to another issue:

Jack Black? Angelina Jolie? Dustin Hoffman? Jackie Chan?? (that one I actually sort of get, but still) Seth Rogan? LUCY LIU???????????

Why celebrity voice actors? That doesn't make sense. Did the people at dreamworks think that 20-30 somethings were going to watch this movie? (Shut up!) The voices seemed really out of place and during dialog it broke immersion completely. Was it somehow illogical to get professional voice actors that, you know, know how to voice act well.

So my friends and I mean the 5 whom I usually hang out with bought downloaded Dissidia: Final Fantasy on to their PSPs'

After they finished selfishly playing their illegal copies, I strong-armed asked them if I could play. And I did... for about 20 minutes before they decided to do random battles.

Here's my take on it:

It's a a button mash-fest as I originally expected after seeing the demo from the last TGS. but what I didn't expect was the fact that it is a timed button mash fest. The game is both balanced enough where spam characters are definitely a no-no, (here's looking at you Ultimecia and Kefka) but unbalanced enough where a character at full health can still lose to a character at 1 hp (I hate you cloud of Darkness)

My FF6 obsessed friend, after only playing the game for 2 days, managed to level up his Terra to lvl 52, and unlocked most of the story characters (No Exdeath and no hidden characters)

The Good:
The bottom line is that this game is fun. The flashy aesthetic of the game as well as mostly different battle styles between each character makes this game a hell of a lot better than Itadaki Street. The extreme customization can make any nit picky microtasker happy, and considering that only fans of the series would only buy this game, there's a character for everyone. If you liked Brawl then you'll probably like this game. If you liked Mortal Kombat... you may like this game. If you like Street Fighters/KoF... give it a try. The voices are irritating, but mostly good. Regardless of how much I will tear this game apart, it's an enjoyable game and most of it's bad points are forgivable.

The Bad:
I'll give it a chance say that and I can get over the androgynous characters, but the voice acting and the story mode irks me to a point. Kefka's been whittled down to the annoying joker character instead of the homicidal one i,e, his sole purpose in being dissidia is to piss off everyone; friend or foe. His laugh has been watered down and not as reality shattering. Some of the situations and villain choices do not make sense like Jecht for FF10 or Golbez from FF4 (Most would have figured from the original previews). Gameplay-wise there tends to be a bit of a lag during battle when both characters are pulling off spectacular moves, but that may be due to the fact that I was playing a dled copy. The stages interestingly enough are probably the Achilles heel of this game. Some stages have bottomless pits which are not only a completely retarded idea, it breaks the flow of battle... badly. Granted they are easily avoidable, but during quicktime battle sequences, the battle may actually lead to these dark hols of nothingness and you have to respawn after a second or 2. This may seem very short, but considering that characters respawn in random locations, you have to take the time to find your opponent. This leads me to the second problem: the stages are very large and very spacious. You have an arrow which leads to your opponent and your camera is free range, but the stages are just too damn wide. I wouldn't want to play this game in a claustrophobic arena, but jesus shit, these stages are unnecessarily huge

The Ugly:
The absolute worst flaw of this game has got to be leveling system. The irony is the fact that the leveling system is what sets Dissidia apart from most if not all fighting games, but there's a reason why most fighters do not have this: there is no point. What the leveling system does is make the game from partially unbalanced to completely unbalanced. It would make sense for a multiplayer final fantasy fighter to have a leveling system, but if you've ever played Soul Caliber 4 online you'll know how irritating this system is.


You can take my review with a grain of salt, but I'm actually going to shell out the 70 USD for the import, so from that you can tell I enjoyed the game.

So I actually got the game and I'd like to make some revisions now that I've immersed about a 100 hours into this thing.

The Good:
copypaste the above. To add on, there's a lot of replay value. The last boss to prevent spoilers was challenging and you can obtain him in the game. A lot of the characters are made for a specific niche just as I stated before. The end result however isn't as bittersweet as most fighters. The characters aren't all completely balanced out and rather having one overpowered character, you have a split between characters that are fun to use, characters that are statistically strong like say Zidane, who aren't overpowered but easy to handle easy ride.

I'm going to errata the ugly from this point. The leveling system to me is still meaningless, but if you've ever play competitive pokemon battling, you'll understand that the bigger numbers will make the game last longer, or subsequently shorter depending on your equips and such.

Leveling isn't hard for most characters (considering you would only max out your favorite ones anyway). The level designs are intricate, seeing as there's the nice normal versions of all the stages, and horrible obstacle inducing claustrophobic ones as well which brings a lot of the challenge into this fighter. If your a brawl tourney fag, you might find this game a bit easy in the same way that a FPS gamer who spent most of their life on the valve engine finding halo easy.

The game is all about timing, which is interesting considering that the people at square have a stiffy for the damn timing puzzles.


The bad: There's a lot of superfluous crap put into the game. Gabranth, ExDeath, Ultimecia, and Cecil are all characters whom I find completely useless. ExDeath in particular seemed to have been put in there for the sake of the designers and fans of V. (Going off a tangent) Okay I get he's supposed to be a tree, but still having a character who is that slow and that irritatingly stupid doesn't do anything for you other than training fodder. If you play as him almost guarantee you will die.

The voice acting is again bad, but the storyline is just meh. It's not that interesting, not by FF standards anyway. The characters seemed to all been beaten by the angsty stick, just as I had expected. The irritation of having Jecht and Golbez is sort of underminded now that you find out *spoilers spoilers* they aren't actually evil.

The end dialog of the final storyline, is copypasted directly from your favorite FF villain death scenes, and I mean that completely. Once you finally kill the baddie, a white screen will pop up and have the text. If your finishing the chapter, it'll instead give you the actual cutscene I believe... Considering I used Firion/Frioneil for my adventure, I think if you fight the individual villain with the respected hero you'll get the scene...

Sorry, went off another tangent.

The Ugly: Forget the leveling system, what made this game completely horrible at some moments were the cutscenes. Ironically the dialog, the storyline, all of it is just horrendously bad. It wasn't just the fact that a lot of the characters were beaten with the angsty stick. The dialog was made in a way, where a person could identify "oh I remember that line from FF#" What really kills this for the story mode which was surprising well thought out is the cutscene at the end of each level. If you don't understand japanese and got the import, consider yourself lucky. The writing is also very plastic and shallow. I never expected any deepness considering who the cast was. The lack of substance characters, and subsequently Ramza, create situations of "super serious emo badass action phrase" followed up by "horrendously insulting 12 year old self esteem crushing quibble"

The dialog almost consist entirely of making the main character your playing as more emo, which ironically makes great characterization.

The only man in this game is really Jecht, who gets some of the most straightforward non-epic lines in the game.

So that's my revision. If you have your own opinions please PM and or rant on this page... not that anyone really reads it.

I have no problem with any genre, sports trigger my narcoleptic tendencies early and I start to fall asleep. MMOs tend to do the same. Shooters get pretty tedious after a while. I start getting sick of fighters after losing X amount of times in a row, I would say that I hate computer chess, mainly because the computers cheet.

19) Is there a game out there that you feel was unique and didn't get enough love?
Chrono Trigger and subsequently cross tend to peak my interest. I beat Trigger about 32 times, give or take a few. Disgaea also had that continuation feeling. Zelda 64 is probably one game I've beaten many many times and again subsequently Majora's mask is the one game I didn't use a guide to get 100% completion.

20) Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?
No. If I got stuck or didn't finish a game because of something like that, I wait a few years when I'm smarter and more skilled and beat it then and then feel completely accomplished (ALttP *cough)

It was an interesting take. I was one of the few who didn't think it was terrible, mainly because of the fact that I didn't think of it as a Mario Movie. If you take away the SMB aspect and see it as just a Hollywood movie, it turns into just mediocre shit instead of horrible pissflooded cancer spreading shit.

Never watched it knowing it was horrible.

I woke up at 5 in the morning, and walked to work, because I missed my bus, so that was about 3 hours, and it was raining and... cold.

So by the time I got there I had a cold (still have it >.<)

I checked the schedule board next to the time clock, turns out my shift didn't start untill 4 in the evening, which prompted me to go "AUGH!!". Again since it was raining and dark and cold even at 8 and on a saturday, almost no one was in the store, so I didn't get in trouble

Ironically what I did get in trouble for was dripping, so I had to go to the entrance and stand on the rug like a lemon for about 3 minutes until I stopped dripping.

Next I wanted to get breakfast, so I braved the storm again, and went to the McDonald (I work in a mall btw) which was some reason was seperated from the entire mall itself. I got there it said "Computer Systems down come back later) Which prompted another "AUGH!!!"

So I went to Starbucks and salvage w/e morning I had left. So basically that was the highlight of my day...

I finally caught the bus and headed back home from which I took an hour bath. When I went into my room I noticed blood stains all over my bed sheet which prompted me to realize, either I had killed someone (possible) or I had bed bugs. Turns out I had bed bugs, so I begged my mother to boil everything that I sleep in in diluted clorox

I left home, went to work, with a cold, came back and found that my mother didn't do shit and said "I washed your bedsheet last week why do you need it washed again" *several head slams into my table*


Can anyone who actually reads my journals explain to my mother the concept of bed bugs?

Well my cynism has reached an all time low. Ironically my confidence in the future is directly proportional to the consumer confidence index, so... I'll make a list of things that happened to me

I had to drop Japanese because my Art Classes decided to unload piles of work projects on to my lap (shot to my foot)

My English Classes are going horrible. The papers that I did turn in got an F because I did them wrong ???? (shot to my arms)

My last paper in english will end up being turned late, because the guy who was supposed to do my peer edit (mandatory peer revisions are the stupidest ideas out of any class) decided not to show up and ironically the book that I needed for my paper decided to just come in *brain snap* (shot to my torso)

I've been late for work, partly due to the series of all nighters that I've done for the past week thus waking up late, and partly because I have a tendency of missing the one bus that gets me to work on time, and on top of it one customer decided that now was the best idea to complain about the one stressful sunday that my asshole associates pissed me off and thus gave me an ultimatum of expulsion
(final shot and now I'm a dead corpse festering in the corner of the room)

So I've decided to do 2 things.
1) is to actually do my work on time begrudgingly
2) quit my life by quitting my job (until i make enough money for my next semester) and quitting what remains of my social life and retreating into hermitism until the year is over

I guess this is a farewell letter, but considering the internet is going to be my outside world, I'll keep in touch.

Terra had very light green hair in the FFVI. I know that Amano's original concept she was blond, but her hair had a slight tint of green. It's something that's irking me, mainly because now she looks too much like Adelle from FFTA2 and I hated that bitch soooooooo much >.<

Now I just spoke with my mother where upon asking "When did you get this, put it on my desk, and why didn't you tell me?"

2) Because it was your mail and I thought I should have put it on your desk
3) I forgot to tell you...

We didn't have any stamps so, I had to walk 10 blocks down to the 7-11 to get some damn stamps, and the rage and homicidal impulses came to a boil as I was digesting all of this

My mother, who got an envelope with my income tax and federal income tax return form one week ago, forgot to tell me and instead left it on my desk where I just now noticed and found out that I was supposed to file and turn it in 5 days ago!

I'm sorry I don't know how I should react to this. I have a mixture of rage, rage, rage, rage, and aneurysm slowly boiling. I think the sheer stupidity of this has given me cancer, and I can't help but laugh hysterically and plot the murder of my own mother.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I will get audited, but more so, this by far has been and probably won't be THE MOST PROFOUNDLY FUCKED UP THING MY MOTHER HAS DONE! :rage:

For the very few watchers watching me, I'll be taking a hiatus from le internet and otakutism. Reality has come crashing down. My grades are in the shittah and I'm now officially in the red when it comes to money after spending most of it on "a children trading card game" (and I'm being serious about this, I actually still play the damn game :nerd)

So as a result I'm going to focus the rest of the 3 months I have left to salvage my grades, money, by sacrificing my time and social life, and hopefully this time I'll be able to pull through. If you see me posting on some random artwork, PM me and yell at me to get off my computer and do my homework, because no one else has for about 6 years now.

Vog for people who do not know, is basically like smog, only instead of smoke there is Volcanic Ash.

Now normally this is just a minor irratation, but for people who have allergies, this is hell.

For me... my eyes are burning, my skins is inflamed and I can hardly breathe. I can say that this Vog is literally killing me so as a warning.
