Celebrating Herman Cain's Death
Posted 5 years agoTo clarify I don't want people to die in general. I don't want people who don't wear masks to get the coronavirus. None of us are helped by a mounting death toll.
However, it's a good thing Herman Cain died.
His blatant and public disregard for the health and safety both of himself, and those around him, when he went to a rally and was hospitalized two weeks later for covid-19. In all likelihood he contracted it at the rally. The death of a high profile mask will save lives by showing people just how fucking stupid that is. This anti-mask insanity, the fact that people in America seem unable to do the smallest possible thing to protect each other, is a cancer that has to be cut out root and stem. Why the Republicans have made a political plank out of anti-science mask denial I will never understand. I consider myself left of center, but I like plenty of Republican ideas (limited government, reducing red tape, etc.), but this mask avoid/global warming denying/anti-science stuff is all just very "wrong side of history".

Why I don't post here anymore
Posted 5 years agoI'm still getting commissions. That hasn't changed. What did change was that when I went to upload some of them I ran afoul of one of FA's content guidelines. I didn't receive a warning or any notice. I simply logged in one day and was greeted with a "you have been permabanned" banner. I was able to work through the appeals process to get the van reversed, but that has made me apprehensive about uploading content.
This is especially problematic for me because I tend to add a lot of dialogue, and background text (posters etc.) To art that I commission. This text is where the violation occured. What that means is that every upload I put up is a potential bomb that can go off in my face. This is even without malicious intent or some history of uploading forbidden content. Save for the permabanning and one image takedown I've never had any interactions with FA's. This also seems to be against FA's own policy of violation escalation (with permabanning being the absolute last resort with 4 tiers before that) though frankly I have no idea if that was their policy at the time.
I get a lot more value out of FA as a content aggregator and communication dropoff than i get out of sharing my own content. I don't get any kind of thrill for uploading, it was just a side thing I did for fun because I thought others would enjoy it. So risking getting permabanned for some mistake in the future to do something that's more for other people than for me is not a profitable move.
The above is reason one. Reason two is that I strongly dislike the sites attitude over harassment. I get death threats and shitty notes on a semiregular basis. They don't really bother me, I just ignore the person, and move on. But FA's policy is to not punish these people. As long as they don't try to circumvent the block they're welcome to say whatever they want to you in the initial salvo. Which just leaves me flabbergasted.
The third reason is I don't like the slow-creep of progress deplatforming and censorship that's worked it's way in the code of conduct and acceptable upload policy. One that seems skewed towards banning right wing extremists from the platform exclusively. I have no specific desire to consume any of their content, and I find 99% of far right ideological convictions abhorrent, but I don't want a platform picking and choosing what content I should be looking at.
All these reasons, but primarily number one, are why I don't upload art here anymore.
PS. Please don't take this as some kind of attack or screed against FA. I'm just trying to explain the haitus and why it's probably never going to end. I may move to a mastadon instance and upload content there. Or Twitter, though Twitter has extremely vague policies about transgressive content and enforcement of banning for posting it.

pictures where cock was king. While I really enjoyed myself, I also struggled with
regards to guilt about what I was doing. Each new piece of art would make me
introspect a little bit more. I've finally come to the conclusion that I need to
leave this sort of art behind me. I can't continue on commissioning such terrible things.
For my part I'm very sorry about all the trouble I've caused. If anyone has been
offended by the art I've commissioned I would love to hear from them so that I can
offer my apologies. It was never my intent to cause trouble for people or have them
languish over the art I've commissioned. It hurts me deeply to know that
so many people could have a bad reaction to the extreme art I've commissioned.

However, convicted murderers, thieves, drug dealers, people who have committed violent assault are still more than welcome! Furry Fiesta won't let your children around a person convicted of public urination, but Furry Fiesta is totally down with them rubbing shoulders with a murderer.

Turning my life around
Posted 6 years agoWith the Patreon I was running shut down, I've had a lot of time to reflect about where my life is going and what direction I'm headed in. I think all these years of misogynistic roleplay and fantasy world building have really taken a toll on me spiritually. I'm pretty sure I'm destined to burn in the eternal flames of hell. Or whatever your religion calls it, so I've decided to turn my life around and renounce my fetishism of misogynistic fantasy.
Henceforth, I'm going to be limiting my commissions to themes of:
*Consensual sex with a strong focus on affirmative, written consent. Detailed hand written signed agreements between partners will be included with each commissioned picture. This also includes heartbeat consent where you ask your partner every 5 minutes to make sure they're still consenting.
*Profeminist neo modern literature. Expect to see more introspective writing works not about grinding women, but understanding the complexity of intersectional, patriarchal, and historical oppression than womyn have faced throughout the years.
*Body positive realistic human-respecting forms. No more gigantic tits, or two foot long penises. Expect more morbid obesity, and less hourglass shapes. A fat body, is a built body.

Posted 6 years agoI really wish FA would allow me to follow rando artists who have blocked me that I've never spoken to. They had some abuse problems earlier where someone would fav/unfav or watch/unwatch someone to troll them by flooding their inbox, but preventing you from watching them is by far the dumbest possible solution they could have implemented. But who knows, maybe the backend code is such a clusterfuck it's impossible to do anything reasonable without upsetting the whole apple cart of spaghetti code.
