This year's Furnal Equinox was one of my favourite cons that I've been to!

Wednesday

I drove out to the con hotel to meet  toddlergirl and her daddy Paul. When we dropped off their stuff, I took them to Rearz to shop around for some diapers, and accessories for the con & to take home, I also picked up some samples for my panel and a few orders that were given to me from some friends. After a lil conversation with the owner of the store, we packed up and headed to a park where I showed Toddlergirl lots of swans, ducks, geese, squirrels (black and grey ones), and chipmunks and finished off the day by taking them to an old hot dog diner that has been open since the 1930's. After a nice long drive, they were both getting a lil' sleepy (long trip + long outting) so I drove them back to the hotel and headed home to get ready for the con myself.

Thursday

I headed back to the con hotel around 12:45pm after stopping off to get some last minute items. I arrived after a fairly smooth drive to the hotel around 1:30pm where I checked in, and started to unpack. I noticed that it was really warm in the room so I contacted the hotel lobby and they said that they didn't have the air conditioning on yet, so there was nothing they could do (which I felt really sorry for suiters!).

After I finished packing I went down into the lobby to register where I saw a few local furs and just mingled then out of nowhere,  karisplayground just so happened to be in the lobby talking to a few people! So I introduced myself and by the end of the registration, we reminisced of the old days in the lifestyle and how it's changed. After all that we meet up with  catmonkshiro.  dan_raccoon &  Amoryllis and went to Boston Pizza for dinner. During dinner, my other friends  grayfoxgree and  nikodestato along with my 2 nephews  phobiac &  calciferthefruitbat arrived at the hotel. Where we found out our rooms were right beside each other's and even better, they had conjoining doors! After some catching up, I went to bed eagerly waiting for the con to start.

Friday

Finally the 1st day of the con! I didn't attend opening ceremonies due to me sleeping in a bit. But I did run into the Dealers Den and made my route to get my T-shirt (which is amazing this year), then right to the Tentawolves to commission  o-kemono &  soryane and their daughter (knowing that they'd fill up pretty qucikly), then proceeded to  theredangel's booth for the short printed Fluttershy dangly. At this time I noticed I had to run up to the room to get my stuff for the babyfur panel!

Dan, Gree & I set up for the panel, and I was just amazed by how many cubs were at the convention! The panel consisted of mingling, playdoh, colouring and snacks and a special surprise given to anyone who wanted them. After a nice, lengthy panel. I packed everything back into my room and met up with some cubs and went for food in the sponsor's lounge (after realizing that I didn't have anything to eat!). The rest of the day I walked the con floor, picked up a badge done by  sweeneyblake and talked to furs like Kiaa, NicNak044 (which I gave an AssButt Button), Snapback (who is so cute and gives the best hugs!), CatMonkShiro, Dan_Raccoon, RoudyRaccoon and others! (sorry if I didn't include you it was a really busy day!). I then cosplayed for a bit and picked up my commissioned badges and ordered a coller with a bell. The rest of the day ended up just being a small meet up in my room where we watched Big Hero 6 and just caught up on things.


Saturday

I woke up and dressed up in my Wreck-It Ralph cosplay for a little while, picked up my collar and ended up in my 1st FE parade! After that I continued to walk the Dealers Den, Auction and Artist Alley. The rest of the day consisted of just mingling with friends and just catching up! (giving out surprises to a few of my friends). Dinner was Pizza Pizza then I had to set up for the Babyfur party which I announced at the Panel. Before the party started though we made sure to get a few certain pics that I cannot talk about at this moment (lots that are on Twitter know already). We ended up with 30 different people at the party (28 people total at 1 time) and lots of fun, stickery, and peggy pranks were enjoyed and I feel a lot of the babyfurs bonded. The party ended at 12:45am and we had a few stay after and just talked while I cleaned up my room and eventually went to bed once everyone was gone.

Sunday

I checked out today, but lust as the other days met up with lots of friends, met a lot of the babyfurs from the panel that I got to learn more about. I also checked the auction and tried to bid on a few things to no avail. Then went back to the Dealers Den to make a last look at items there (I did buy a Batty squishable for my nephew Cake) and commissioned  eevachu for a 15-minute, buck-a-minute sketch of Cake & I and went to the Closing cerimonies. We finished the day by meeting up with Gemma and Paul again and just sat and enjoyed each others company then more babyfurs ended up meeting up with us! At the end of the day, we said our byes which got a lil emotional but there's always online to keep in touch (still not the same as real life but means we just have to meet up again!). I ended up sleeping on the floor of Gree & Ottys room for the rest of the night before leaving with userPhobiac in the morning.

All-and-all it was a great con! I wish I had more time, there was just so much to do and so little time! I hope I got to most of you, and if I missed you I`m sorry it wasn't intentional. But there is one big thing I`d like to talk about:

I know  toddlergirl was really upset about having to leave Canada and all her friends that she met here. I just want to tell people who haven't had a chance to meet Gemma/Star & Paul, you better do it! She is by far one of the kindest, nicest, humble fur I have ever met! She is just so cute and Paul is a great daddy. A lot of my friends and myself were really happy and honoured to have met you and hope you are going to be ok when you get back to the UK. You are always welcome back to Canada, lots of us will be more than happy to meet you with arms open (but mine will be the best hugs ;) ). I know this is a lil bit of rambling but I just feel if you have a chance to meet Gemma/Star & Paul, you`ll be glad you did! I`m happy and honoured I had a chance to spend quite a bit of time with you 2 and wish to do it again in the near future, This is one of the main reasons why I really enjoyed this year, especially since I`ve known Gemma/Star for at least 10+ years and now finally got to meet her in person :).

I hope there isn`t any squiggle tears, if there is I`m sorry *hugs* but I feel like others should know how amazing you 2 are!
