But !I just had to think of that song/show while filling this questionnaire thing! I'll be doing this with Nae. After some thinking, I believe Nae would fit to me more as an avatar rather than a 'fursona'. I suppose a fursona should be the exact representation of you as a furry? Nae is more like a character developed for a story that I used to represent myself, so... avatar!

What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
White and pink have always been my choice for fursona colors even since my first wolf fursona, and orchid mantis just fit in that category!

Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
At first it was the intention, to be like me, but she evolved to a character developed to play her role in a story and gained traits of her own!

Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Hmmmm... kinda. I guess she's more polite and reserved than I!
And she's much less dumb, for sure! XD

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
I think we have pretty different likes and dislikes.

Does your fursona look like you at all?
I wish I could be a pretty anthro orchid mantis geisha!

Yes, we're both cisfemales.

Aside from Nae, "foot on the ground" side of me, I have Sheba Windstorm, the crazy pirate lycan and utopic part of me.

Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
Yes, and it's called BLADE UNDER MASK! But it totally isn't like my own history, haha.

Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
She's mated to her job? Nae doesn't have a mate, she's also not interested in any form of relationship.

If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
She's not looking for anyone. (but she hopes to have a wealthy danna to support her career someday)

Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Well, orchid mantises used to be quite rare, but I think there are a handful of them now. Geishas are still rare, though. That and she has two- nevermind!

Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Oh yes! I draw her a lot (and I also used to draw Sheba a lot!), and I am REALLY LUCKY to receive a whole lot of fanart! I love them all!

Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?

If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
No, I honestly find fursuits super creepy, but I hope to "cosplay" her in the near future. And that would: me dressed in a similar, original yukata, wearing a stylized Veneza carnival-like mask. Something to evoke the image of the geisha mantis, instead of a full suit.

Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
Aye, once in a tabletop RPG game. Though she had to assume human form because there weren't any form of insectfolk in our setting. As for online... no, mostly because it is impossible to find a good RPG party or partner that doesn't have interest solely in sex.

Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
Yes, like I said earlier, she's the more 'foot on the ground' part of the me, in contrast to the utopic and crazy Sheba Windstorm.

So recently, because of some things happening offline, I'm feeling a little bit depressed and when I'm like that I just don't feel like talking to anyone outside my close circle. So forgive me if I don't reply your note, email, comments, I just need a time for myself, I will get back to you as soon as I'm feeling better.

Many times I've seen myself in this situation and I truly don't know how to act, so I thought of asking your opinion on the subject, since you're my audience and the ones interested in commissioning me.

When I offer commissions, of whatever kind, I ask applicants to fill a form where I ask info such as type of commission, references, email etc. I use this because it's easier to keep things organized and clean, but often I encounter this problem: someone doesn't fill the form. They actually just comment on the journal claiming a slot, and then I don't know what to do.

Should I consider their offer, even if they don't fill the form...? Or should I give priority to those who actually took their time to fill the form?

I understand that timezones and other things can make it really difficult to grab a slot sometimes, and that's the reason I've been considering them all this time. On the other hand, I feel really bad that sometimes someone who actually fills the form doesn't get the slot because someone who didn't fill the form got theirs...

Today I tried the second option (to skip the ones who didn't fill the form) and I think ended up with someone angry at me because of that. I understand that you can never please Greek and Trojans but.. what should I do?

I want to be fair but I don't know what to do. Your opinion?

My cat had her surgery two weeks ago, but it didn't go as we planned. There were complications during the surgery and it wasn't as effective as it should be. I'm not sure if it was effective at all. Her liver was still very inflammed and swollen and after the surgery she had seroma filling her abdominal area.

Last night I saw her state downgrading from bad to terrible and honestly I thought she wouldn't make it through the night. I went to bed getting ready for the worst. When I woke up I saw a cat.

Alive and purring.

I don't know how she made it. Sheer strength I suppose. So she's still alive, sick, but alive. We're gonna take her to the vet to see what happened and what are her chances. We're gonna do our best and try to save her no matter how small the chances are. But if her case is a no-return one... maybe it's best to end her suffering and put her to sleep.

I am utterly sorry for the previous journal. I should have waited but I couldn't, I needed to talk to someone and tell how I was feeling. I've dealt with beloveds death before (and some of you might remember...) but it's always suffocating when you see it's happening.

I am really sorry, please forgive me.
