Currently sitting at my table at MFM, been drawing & selling considerably more than last year, I am pleased. MORE PEOPLE NEED TO COME TO THIS CON DAMMIT. The hotel is in such a nice location with a wonderful staff; plenty of stores & foods in walking distance... but who needs foods when the hotel offers free hot breakfast every morning, and REAL lunches & dinners in the con suite every day! As if the free pizza feed & ice cream social wasn't enough... *_* Kinda got myself sick last night, there was just so much delicious free food everywhere, looolllss. *FAT*

I am eager to get back home and finish the next giant pony plush I have in the works. :3

I give in, I've finally found a favorite pony.... it's Maud. And no one's made a plushie of her... ?! Sigh I guess I will have to.

In the mean time... got back from RMFC a few weeks ago. Getting ready for MFM, then Furpocalypse, F3con, and MFF if I'm super lucky, but not sure on that one.

Re-situated in new home at last. At least now I can say the move was worth it, it's better than where I was, just about everything is better... the cost, the location, the fact that it's a HOUSE and not a shared dwelling. The only thing that would make it perfect is a fenced yard.

Finally got a new phone as well, an iPhone 4s, given to me as a partial fursuit payment. I like how that works out. :3 Except the only reason I chose to stick with iPhone is because I can use it on T-Mobile and stay under their "smart phone" data plan radar, since they don't support the iPhone, and stick with my ancient grandfathered plan that I've been on with them for AGES. But wait, my 4s has the latest OS version that can't be jailbroken (yet, still). x_x So after waiting around with that for a month, wanting to use a newer phone SO bad, I finally decided to say screw you T-Mobile, and went with Straight Talk... why the FUCK didn't I do this sooner?!?? $45/mo for unlimited everything and no contract??? Hell yeah, and they can use any carrier's cell towers and you can use ANY phone you have. Sweet action. Anyone want a 1st gen iPhone?? XD


Now, just waiting on my artsy creative motivation to pick back up. I'm gettin' there.

My iPod got stolen out of my car, right before leaving for FurFright. What is it with ppl stealing ipods out of my car?? I always lock my car, ALWAYS. And the one time I forget (or husband does), some asshole thief happens to come along.

Then, the day after the con, trying to hurry my ass out of CT before they shut down the highways for the hurricane, and MY CAR DOESN'T START. Starter died. Thank god for manuals and pop-started it outta there, to where my lovely friend could help me put a new one in.

Two days later I get a lovely email about the place we're renting getting sold, and the new owners are kicking us out. -.- Thank-fucking-you for the heads up??? We weren't in a lease so they're able to do that, but they'd mailed out our 30 day notice the day after we'd left. Meanwhile we are stuck in MA for a few extra days, because the plant my new starter had to be ordered from was out of power due to the hurricane. :/

So now we've gotta pack up a rather full 1400 sq ft home, which also has a 2 car garage full of stuff. No one to help, and no money to move. Something tells me I'm not going to get much done suit/art-wise this month. x_x

Oh, let's see.... went to MFM, slow as per usual. Still a nice, homey con that leaves you with that warm and fuzzy feeling that I will always want to go to. That and it's only 5hrs away so can't complain too much!

It's been a while... I miss going to cons. ;_; This is my first time at this one, here's hoping it goes well!

I've not been in much of a drawing mood for a while now. Hopefully that changes... I AM working on two artwork commissions- one taken back at FurFright. -.-; Yeah that's how bad it is and normally I do NOT take anywhere near that long. BUT, I've recently completed a suit and have another fun one that I am REALLY excited about making on the way... so hopefully my creative juices will start, um, flowing again!

So. I badly need to upgrade my 1st gen iPhone I've had for forever and a half now. :P Even just the next step up, the plain ol' 3G version I'd be happy with. My main issue is not being able to install any sort of version 4 OS at all to take advantage of nitfty-er apps (e.g., Square's credit card reader!)

Also badly needed is a laptop. Intel i3 or newer. I recently had a fooked up experience buying one on eBay... did not know they have lojack on laptops now, WTF?!? And the software is nearly completely un-removable, being installed in the BIOS with no option to disable/remove. Long story short... got a nice Toshiba i3 for less than $300, which ends up being reported stolen a month after getting it. >.< Eugh. So it was rendered completely useless, had to return and get money back, etc.


Of course I am willing to pay, or trade partial/all of for art and/or suit work. :D

I made THE most adorable badge ever of someone (a girl's) Chochobo character, I did it in the tail badge style cause she wanted to add her own tail to it. She was supposed to send me a scan of it but I haven't heard anything at all, and I can't remember the name on it for the life of me. :/ If anyone has maybe seen it, or know of a female Chochobo char, let me know??

Hello all my FA friends, I am pleading! I'm looking for someone who is, or knows of someone else, in any sort of wildlife veterinary/research field, specifically for wolves.

A local friend here has a timber wolf, Shadow, who's 3-4 years old (I can't remember exactly). She's had her since she was a puppy. But lately she's had some problems with tumores and diabetes, and her owner is having a hell of a time finding someone who KNOWS what they're doing with Shadow. She's had her first tumor removed at a regular vet.. they stapled her up when they shouldn't have (it was around her groin + belly), it came undone. Not to mention they didn't get all of it and it came back. Her insuline levels came under control for a little while, but her demeanor went downhill again and that's when she found another mass going from her belly up to her neck.

She took her to the zoological department of the university in Tulsa, since they were doing research on diabetes in wolves. They agreed to take Shadow in.. ended up they practically kidnapped her. They were supposed to let her owner see her every day, they wouldn't. When she finally showed up when she could pick her up, she could hear her poor wolf howling in the back. Shadow looked terible, with holes in her legs. They didn't remove the tumor or anything.. they didn't do what they said they would, and they did things she asked them not to. They basically tortured her for their own research. :(

I saw Shadow yesterday day when they came into Petco.. she LOOKS happy, like she wants to be better. I felt the squishy mass on her. :( She's a bit overweight and she walks funny, kind of wobbles- it looks difficult. It's hard for her to get up after she's layed down, she breathes heavy. She acts like she's 10+ years old but she's still a juvenile. :( Her owner was in tears saying that she herself needed surgery bad, but she won't get it until she knows Shadow's better because there will be no one to look after her.


So I'm looking for someone, ANYONE with resources for, at the very least, someone this poor lady can consult with. Maybe someone knows a vet at a rehab place, or refuge? Or just know where we might be able to find one? Anyone to at least TALK to and get some input as to what's going on. If anyone even has any networking resources, she is in Northwest Arkansas.

This con has been pretty freaken cool! By far one of the best locations a con has ever had.. in fact.. it IS the best. o_o Soooo many food places in walking distance, inc. awesome sushi, fantastic Chinese, a Walgreens, a SKATING RINK.. and the hotel is roomy and awesome being that it's a convention-only facility.

So yeah.. hopefully it attracts more of the super-cool furries next year. I will def be back again. :D

OH LET ME NOT FORGET... the hotel is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.. hotel tax is only 9% !!


My only gripe is they keep the temperature fricken freezing cold throughout the hotel. :[

Well.. that was interesting. o_O I've been meaning to suggest a better note organization system, and also the ability to delete notes from the main screen.. and hey, look at that!

It also seems to have brought back all the old notes I ever had, and also old ones I apparently missed and never even read.. ?! So this brings me to wonder if the overhaul somehow deleted notes I never saw. SO, if you've ever sent me a note and I didn't reply, feel free to send one again! I really try to respond them all.. if someone has a question, anyway.

That con was AWESOME. The most fun con for me besides FurFright (my home con). Free craft brew beer in the sponsor lounger FTW! It actually inspired me to get my work groove back on. It also made me miss people more than I have in a long time. :/

Well.. no more cons for me for a while I think. My next will probably be MFM. AC is out of the picture for me, too ridiculous. I was considering going to Rocky Mountain, but no clue who to room with.
